We got a flat 25 miles north of Richmond on 95. We were towed to this dealership where everyone went out of their way to be helpful and friendly and got us on our way in 2 hours. Through this very stressful situation the entire team was fantastic. If you drive a Volvo and youre going to get a flat I suggest you do it near these folks. We interacted with at least 10 people at the dealership and each and every one of them was fantastic. Thank you all.
Great buying experience. Really appreciate Mr. Wade Perkins for his patience and answering all our questions. We are very happy with our purchase.
Service department is not well run. Called to check on my car after it had been 7 hours with no word for a basic inspection and maintenance. Got transferred 4 times and no one picked up the phone on any of the transfers. It still wasn’t ready when I arrived. I bought my Volvo here brand new two years ago and although my annual service was covered under warranty, they actually charged me $10 to remove my old license plate because I couldn’t loosen the screws myself. Wow.
Great dealership but love the service department. They always take care of me and Buckey goes the extra mile.
Surpassed what I could have ever imagined when buying my first car. People always make it sound so scary and that someone is going to be untrustworthy, but Andrew and his team helped me feel extremely comfortable. They were thoroughly transparent and helped me get the best deal for my perfect new car!! If youre looking for amazing customer service and quality care go here asap!!!!!!
Great experience all together! We are from out of state, which can be complicated, but the saleman and managers made sure everything was taken care of. We got a great price and didnt feel pressured into anything extra such as warranties. Overall very happy with our car and our experience. They even filled our gas tank for our long drive home!!Thank you!!
Show car online for one price then it is suddenly 4 grand more when I inquire about it.
Overall, my experiences with Volvo of Richmond have been great. I have been a Volvo owner for a little over a year. I got in an accident in my first Volvo and when I say it was wrecked, it was. It was mangled to the point where they had to rip the front bumper off to tow it but I walked away with two scratches on my arm and went to work the next day. That says something about the safety of these cars. Both of my Volvos have been fully serviced at Volvo of Richmond. Bucky in service is amazing! He is by far the best service adviser I have ever had and he is 90% of the reason I continue to get my car serviced at Volvo of richmond. My second Volvo I purchased used from Wade at Volvo of Richmond. Theres two things you need to know about Wade. 1. He will do just about anything in his power to sell you a car. He literally brought the car to my work just for me to step outside and look at it for a few minutes. He even set up an overnight test drive the next day. He is very conducive to your schedule and will work with you on repairs. 2. HE TALKS. I must say he will talk your ear off telling you stories. Are they true? We may never know but he talks a lot and it can be fun in a generally stressful experience. So 8/10 for Wade.
My experience with everyone at this dealership was stellar. I worked directly with Darryl who I could not possibly say nicer things about. He went above and beyond on every step of the way, and made the process incredibly easy and enjoyable. As an out of state buyer, Darryl helped make me feel comfortable and confident in their dealership, and also even picked me up from the hotel the morning of the sale just to make my life that much easier. Highly recommend this dealer and Darryl and would absolutely make the trip back there again. Thanks everyone!
My car was totaled and I was looking for a replacement that fit my budget. I was assisted by Wade Perkins. He treated me as well as if I was buying a brand new expensive car. I highly suggest working with him if you’re in the market! He made my experience much smoother and I felt like I could trust him.
Asked for protective mats similar to the ones in the Volvo we traded in (which included cargo mat) to be included with the vehicle during our negotiation and they agreed but did not follow through. Only included floor mats. We are talking about a $100 cargo mat.... So far we really like the vehicle.
They were most especially helpful with our xc70 emergency repairs and prices were much better than other dealers.Wouldnt hesitate to use them again.Actually drove quite a distance, bypassing other dealers who were much closer.Thank you Bucky!
I can’t recommend Volvo of Richmond enough!! From my first call inquiring about an XC-60 on the lot, Riley was amazing!! She was extremely responsive and helpful with all my initial questions. Once I got there, Andrew was my salesman. I hate to use that word because it can sound icky to some people, but let me tell y’all, he was awesome! He made the entire experience so easy for me. He was not pushy by any means. He was straight up yet laid back. I really appreciated him. My fiancé plans to purchase a vehicle from him as well because my experience with him was so great! Now my car itself, I LOVE IT! It is has everything I wanted and more! It’s so smooth and quiet. Literally a dream! Not to mention, it is one of the safest vehicles you can purchase. Ryan, in the financing department, was great! That guy really knows what he’s doing. He took care of everything for me. I truly didn’t have to do anything but sign my name (a lot, haha). I am pretty sure I won’t drive anything but a Volvo for the rest of my life. This entire experience and my car has convinced me Volvo is truly deserving of my loyalty!
If I could give negative stars I would. I took my car in for a headlight notification on my dash which turned out to be a computer problem. The headlight was perfectly in tact when I dropped the car off. I know this because we extensively looked at the headlight to see if the bulb was blown and there was no crack on the plastic light cover. When I picked the car up after they determined it was a computer issue I found that the headlight was cracked a sticky substance had been applied to it. The service people tried to put me off by saying it was normal wear and tear, and that the service manager was too busy to come out to speak with me. Someone, named Gary, came out to tell me it was normal wear and tear again and that there was nothing he would do about it. When I told him it was not cracked when I dropped it off and that they detailed it so what was the sticky substance they clearly put on it he said he stands by the work of his guys and was sorry I felt otherwise. There is no feeling involved in this other than I will never take my car back to this dealership, I will never buy another car from this dealership and I am disgusted and thoroughly annoyed thatI now have to waste my time dealing with this when they could have just done the right thing and replaced the light cover that they know they broke. Additionally, it was the worst detail I have ever had done as well. This dealership does not care about its service, its customers or even basic right and wrong. Volvo should shut this place down.
Darryl Buck was a great salesperson who helped me find a used car and repeatedly went out of his way to accommodate me. I didn’t feel they were overly pressuring me at any point!
Thank you to everyone at Richmond Volvo especially Wade. We are from NJ and we have to say our car purchase was very smooth and flawless. Wade went out of his way and beyond to deliver our car in NJ.. we love our XC60 and will definitely be back..Your dealership is all about customer service. Thank you again. The LoDicos
I had a good experience servicing my car, it was quick to drop of my car and pick up a loaner.
My husband and I bought a Jeep from Richmond Volvo and have had nothing but trouble with it since we bought it. The dealer put new bumpers and lights on the jeep before they sold it to us. The lights werent wired right so we brought it back to be wired right. At first Volvo was a little hesitant to fix but they did. Now were having problems with the bumpers they put on rusting 4 months after we bought it, We have got nothing but the runaround from them to fix these bumpers. Finally they said they would fix them and they just sprayed painted over the rust.. This is unacceptable. They also said they would give us a rental while the bumpers were getting fixed. They gave my husband their parts vehicle that was dirty, never was cleaned and smelled like old socks, to ride my daughter around in. This is UNACCEPTABLE!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!We have emailed about the bumpers not being fixed lets see how long it will take them to respond. I am about to talk to a Lawyer I am done!!! I would never buy another Vehicle from them again.
I was between a 3 and 4 star rating and our salesperson experience swayed me on the higher end. We had a bad/shady experience with another dealership and I was going to put off buying a car for awhile. Soon after is when I saw the post with this dealership for the vehicle I had been looking at. I emailed them to ask a few questions and Riley was very accommodating. She understood I had 2 toddlers and didn’t have the time for the back and forth...I gave her my bottom line and she was honest with what they could do. She sent me a video and pictures of the vehicle and even offered to come bring it to me (45 min away.) This stood apart for me and we took the chance to drive up there. This is where we met Darryl, our salesperson and he is AMAZING. He realized I wasn’t interested in haggling and if they couldn’t get the deal done for what we were looking for, we weren’t getting the vehicle. Buying a car with two toddlers in tow wasn’t easy, but he made it happen and quickly, with still getting us all the details. We had gotten there after work and it was right before closing, so financing wasn’t happening and they offered to let us take vehicle home but we opted out of that as to not change over car seats and all. He called the next day with ‘good news’ and I let him know that wasn’t good news...anyways, he only came back to me one other time able to make the deal happen for us to come sign. Joey in finance got us a great deal and really took care of us. The next day after having the car I realized the passenger rear door didn’t lock electronically, only manually and this was a huge PIA with toddler and car seats. I called Darryl and he got me a time to come have it looked at a few days later. They gave me a loaner and ended up having to keep it overnight to order the part...it was all a pain with switching car seats and the long drive to get there back and forth, but happy they were at least accommodating and did fix it without charging me. It does need new tires and I wonder about the brakes after driving it longer than a test drive and the brake pedal squeaks every time I press it...so I’m always nervous something is going to happen and I’ll be broken down somewhere with kids. I didn’t call the shop back after the lock situation because it appeared to be that they (service) were annoyed about it and not very friendly. I’m also afraid to see what may need to be fixed. This was my worry with a used vehicle, but we are seeing how it goes..All in all, three front of the house with Riley, Darryl and Joey was great.
I had my recall fixed here. And they offered me a state inspection with no charge. Everyone is struggling right now so I really appreciate it. So sweet!
My husband and I purchased an XC 60 at the end of July. This is the third vehicle we purchased from the dealership and its predecessor. Bobby Jones was our salesman, he is like and old friend given he sold us our previous vehicles as well. Sammy So was also wonderful, spending lots of time literally providing us old folks a tutorial on the incredible technology designed into this vehicle. We could not be happier with our new XC 60, nor could we have been happier with the dealership. Great experience from top to bottom. Thank You,
Andrew at Richmond west Volvo was great, although I didnt buy my new car today he assured me inventory comes in and moves fast. The second it comes in he will give me a call and I will write another review to let you know how my experience of buying a brand New Volvo went.
: hilarious guys and gals very interjetic.
Over the last fifteen years, my family and I have lived all over the country (thanks, U.S Army), and weve taken our Volvo to numerous dealerships for service. Most of our experiences have been excellent, but our recent experience with Volvo of Richmond was not.The people I dealt with were kind enough, which is why Im being generous with a two star rating, but the policies of this service department were barely worth one star.If you need a loaner car while your vehicle is being worked on, youre out of luck. Will they provide you with a rental car? Nope. But theyll write the number to a car rental place on a piece of paper for you. After that, youre on your own. Do you expect a telephone call to keep you up to date on whats happening with your vehicle? Youll be disappointed. Oh, and when youre told they cant find anything wrong with your vehicle, youll get a bill for $120 for them to run diagnostics. If your Volvo needs service and you have the time, keep driving north. Youll have a much better experience in Fairfax, Falls Church, or Alexandria.
Oh my where do I begin. Riley Stroud(internet sales) Samy So(sales) and Business Manager Ryan Young were outstanding from beginning to the end. It was the best car shopping experience that I have ever had at Volvo Cars Richmond on West Broad Street. They answered all my questions and met all my needs in what I was looking for in a car. Thank you guys for such an outstanding customer service experience. Each and every one of you played an important role in the purchasing of my brand new Volvo XC40 2020 and for that I thank you! You guys are ROCKSTARS 😊In the market for a new vehicle definitely go see them, it will be worth it.Happy Customer for sure!Samantha G.
Got a car back with a service needed message, brought it up to the tech and was dealt with rudely and hung up on. Not exactly what Id call great service

Richmond Volvo was willing to go that extra mile so that we could find the vehicle we wanted not what was on the local dealers stock where we live. The entire transaction went flawless thanks to Ms. Stroud.
I had a great experience purchasing my new car through Volvo of Richmond! Everyone that I interacted with at the dealership was not only very nice to deal with but also extremely knowledgeable and ready to answer any of my questions. I love my new car and am grateful I decided to purchase through this dealership. Thank you!!
I had, dare I say, a great experience purchasing my used car. My salesman was pleasant, patient, and not pushy. The price I paid was fair and the finance manager was knowledgeable enough to get me a better interest rate than USAA offered. Once I decided on the vehicle, the entire process was efficient and quick. I would buy from them again.
All the service people were very helpful. my wife had come in from a trip, they gave her a car and helped transfer her luggage to the loaner car that was given on the spot. our issue was resolved by the next day with a fair price and several options to pick from on the repair process, hats off to a great service team
Beware of this dealer if you are trying to deal with them online! They show great prices online but when you go to close the deal, they make it impossible!Without going into the long saga, everything was agreed to for days, the salesperson put a hold on the car, no deposit was asked for and the sales manager sold the car from under me! The salesperson nor the manager had the decency to either ask for a deposit to prevent the car from being sold or to notify me the car was sold when called first thing on a Monday morning to find out the status of the deal! Luckily Volvo Virginia Beach had the same unit available and matched the offer without all the hassle. Dont waste your time with this dealer as they will just waste your time and energy! Dont say you werent warned!!!
My experience buying a used car from here was good in the beginning. After having the vehicle for 5 days it broke down. I had the car towed back to Volvo of Richmond. They told me they will charge me to fix it. They gave me a fair price for the repair but I feel swindled. Also, I found out after I came home my car came with a remote but they only gave me a spare key and refused to help me with that.
Ive been terribly taken in the past by many dealerships. I dont believe a word that comes out of a car salesmans mouth.
Very helpful and honest. The communication system they have to detail (with pictures) all of the needed or recommended work is great and really puts your mind at ease.
While a salesman came out to talk to me, I left feeling he wasnt even trying to get the sale. Im now at Carmax.
Buying. New Original. V50 Wheels was fun because i love my Volvo. But the new Volvo models were beautiful...But my 2010 V50 never ever gave me any problems...i cant find a reason for a New Volvo..but i would love a all-wheel drive Volvo..🗻😄🌄
Mooers Volvo is the epitome of professionalism and service. I purchased my Volvo from Mooers last year, and they have exceeded my expectations in every way. Perry was a friendly, no-pressure salesman who located the exact car that my wife and I wanted at a great price. There were no hidden costs, and the service has been completely hassle-free. The Service Department is knowledgeable, friendly, and they have your car ready on time, every time. I recommend Mooers to all of my friends and family.
I have a 2007 Volvo XC90 which I absolutely love and owe that partially to the service team at Volvo of Richmond. The entire team (Rob, Bucky and Wayne) have always provided me with exceptional service. I am confident in their service repair recommendations and know they will stand behind the work preformed. From maintenance, tires and detailing I could not be more confident in the team performing the work. I feel I pay a fair price for quality service - you get what you pay for.I would highly recommend Volvo of Richmond to anyone - even non-Volvo owners. I am so impressed with their level of service and attention to detail - I will remain a Volvo owner for life!
Samy was great. He was not pushy and seemed to be very honest with us. I paid about $2000 more than I really wanted to, but they made money and I think I got a great vehicle. I would go back to them if I decided to buy another Volvo. They seem to be very nice people. Oh and Dina was great too. She was very good with all the paperwork and reply to my emails after the transaction. Great group of folks that I dealt with.
I know all the Volvo shops motto is truly exceptional customer experience and they strive hard towards that but i will have to say that my latest experience with this shop is truly mind blowing. I thank them for going out of way to help me in recent situation. Especially Bucky from service is fantastic. He is very professional, honest, knowledgeable, helpful and became my go to guy. I dont usually write reviews unless Im either extremely satisfied or extremely pissed off and my experience with them so far for last year (and it was always Bucky dealing with me) made me take some time out of my super busy schedule to write this review.
The WORST experience EVER, Lied to, taken advantage of and discriminated against!! I purchased a used vehicle, a BMW, on March 28th. During this I work with Joey Devapalan the Sales Manager. Joey informed me the vehicle I was purchasing had a manufactory warranty of 5 years 50,000 miles. During this sales process Joey told me numerous times that warranty was still in place and I had absolutely nothing to worry about. In fact, we spoke about this situation for about 2 hours before I purchased the vehicle and did so based on his reassurance about being covered until April 22, 2021 or 50,000 miles. I then went into the finance and worked with Heidi Wajciechowski. She confirmed with me in and wrote on my sales envelope the 1st in service date of April 22, 2016 and said the warranty expires 5 years from this date. She also circled the date on the Auto Check and said here it is on the Auto Check.I started having some electrical issues with the onboard computer. I called BMW to set an appointment but the warranty had just expired on April 22, 2020 NOT 2021 like Haley said. I reached out to Haley Volvo, never heard back. I took the car to 2 repair shops for inspection. They said brakes were bad, the rear diff was leaking and thrust bushing cracking.I returned to Haley Volvo on May 15, 2020 the mourning I had the 2nd inspection done in writing to speak with Haley. Friday morning at around 10am I stepped inside the showroom. Sales greeted me and was very nice. I explained the situation about the factory warranty and then the issues which should have been covered my not only the warranty I was so posed to have but by the Haley 90-day warranty. Sales then went into the General Manager office, Kirby Fields. I watched them speak and you could see eye rolling etc. Sales returned and said we will take it. I asked what about my manufactory warranty I was told I had? The response was Kirby Fields will fix it. I asked to speak with him, but he refused, I was told he will call you. I was standing there but Kirby Fields refused to see me. No call Friday or Saturday. Monday car goes into service at Haley, calls me and asked what’s wrong with the car. I then ask to speak with Kirby again told he is out to lunch but will call me by the end of the day. Tuesday comes around and get a call from service, they said they replaced the brakes pads but nothing else, mind you they didn’t replace the rotors just the pads. They tell me the rear diff is leaking but that normal and keep an eye on it”. When something is leaking and you need to watch it, it’s not “normal”. I then say it needs to be fixed and service says let us ask Kirby Fields. I get a call back and they say, “nope not fixing it”. I ask to speak to Kirby Fields and he’s out to lunch again. I call the dealership and ask why wont he call me why does he refuse to talk to me, I am told he is out getting a “haircut” but will call me before the end of the day. Wednesday comes and still no call, so I decided to go get my car back. Went to service they bring the car out. When they received the car is was clean but its was filthy when returned to me, not a big deal but shows how i was being treated opposed to other customers. They didn’t replace the rotors and throw new pads on it and ask any brake shop if thats the right way. I then go inside to return the loaner car keys. Explained how upset I was, and they say hold on let me get Kirby Fields. They come back out, “Kirby is in a meeting”. I have never in my life meant Kirby Fields ever, I am not sure if it’s the way I look, the way I dress or any other reason, but he refuses to reach out, talk to me or meet with me. 5 days of no calls, been in person 2 times and he refused to see me. I don’t know if this how Haley does business by just hoping a situation will just go away but this is wrong on so many levels. Someone above General Manager, Kirby Fields, needs to investigate this and do the right thing. People within Haley have told me to write a letter to corporate and file a complaint because this isn’t right, not my words employees’ words!!
Its a car dealership so you know what to expect. But they are very friendly.
Shout out to Wade Perkins at Volvo Cars Richmond for going above and beyond to help me find the perfect Volvo at a great price! I highly recommend working with Wade. Thank you for all of your help!
Went there to do a prepurchase inspection for a used Volvo from another dealer. The job was thorough and very professional.Saved me a ton of money. Also waiting area is comfy with WiFi so I could work the whole time I waited.Thank you to Wayne for the help.
Great service my mechanic Kemar is bar none!!!
Went there and looked at a used Volvo, after 45 of back and forth over the price and not being able to come to an agreement I went home ad saw that they werent even offing me the price advertised on their website, pretty greasy. Also if you check their website prices against dealers in the beach area and northern VA, youll see that you can do much better with a short drive.
Very disappointed with the lack of service. They have presented the incorrect part number twice for a simple windshield replacement. So it is three days later and I still have a cracked windshield and have not received the part number from the Volvo dealership. The story is much longer but I am out of time. Now I am on the phone with Volvo US and they can provide two part numbers but cannot tell me which one is correct. Unbelievable!!!!
Price gouging, and a saccarine sweet good ole boy mentality is pervasive throughout the place. God help you if you are a woman and in a hurry,or (gasp) have a job, because Im not positive but they seem to intentionally slow things down to sloth speed. They are condescending and are outrageously over priced.
The staff is very friendly. The outstanding service they provide is consistent. I have brought my truck here for service and detail. They have an outstanding detail shop that is reasonably priced.
Volvo of Richmond has always serviced my Volvo and done an excellent job. There customer services techs are top notch and always follow through with the customer until the job is completed. They go beyond the call of duty to make sure the customer is satisfied.
Stopped in today with a blown fuse thinking I would need to wait or schedule an appt to have the issue corrected. The service advisor stepped out to my car pulled the fuses and replaced it - out in 5 minutes. I appreciate the service allowing me to return to my day. I felt it was a higher level of service that most places dont offer.
The service here is unbelievable. They truly care about their customers from the beginning to end. I highly recommend doing business with this Dealership.
Volvo tried to sell me $1700 in repairs that werent needed by quoting parts that were in good condition. This place has violated consumer trust in every manner possible. Dont believe me? I own a Volvo XC70. I have used Volvo cars my whole life and the brand is something I can really get behind. Last week I took my car in for annual inspection it was inspected and I was informed that I needed $1,700 in repairs for the rear trailer arms and several other parts that I (Minimal understanding of cars) wouldnt know how or what to check. I was told parts for all of the repairs would cost $800 and labor would be $900. I had a seed of doubt in my mind at this point. I then proceeded to go onto google and look for parts and see how much they costed. I came to the conclusion that the parts they wanted to sell me were on a bit of a markup so I decided to take my car to a different repair shop instead. This is where I wish the story ended. A trivial bit of information I noticed was that the sticker that said my car was good for the road was still on. I also searched this up and found that they should have scraped it off and put a rejected sticker on but I put this to the side. I took my car into another shop I had found and the inspected my car and found that my car was perfectly good and needed no repairs! I proceeded to contact the state police and inform them that Volvo of Richmond tried to sell me parts and repairs that I didnt need. I was also told by the State Police that not giving me a rejection sticker was illegal. I have since had the integrity of my car verified by two repair shops and both have come to the same conclusion. No work was needed on my car period. This is a violation of trust to any and all people who have bought or plan to buy from this dealership. I cannot stand behind a dealership that pretends there are parts that need to be replaced, can you?
We felt like we were Samys one and only customer. We always had his undivided attention. We had so many questions for him and he was always right there for us. He was a pleasure to work with. He is very knowledgeable about the Volvo. Would definitely recommend Samy So to everyone.
Expensive but get value for money. Excellent experience. Best part is shuttle service and follow up. Staff is very friendly.
Quick efficient service on no notice to resolve a check engine light issue.
Ron in Service and now Sam and Scott in Sales are why we returned to this dealership to buy our next Volvo. Great experience this morning.
Moores Volvo is a professional and efficient business. The staff in the service department are very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of my questions. I was able to schedule a repair appointment next day and they were able to provide a loaner vehicle. I will be a return customer (not because they are the only Volvo dealer in the area).
Poor service, wash and detailing very poor, car was not vacuum, car wash half done, would not recommend anyone going there, very unprofessional, no personality, make me second guess the mechanic service that I couldnt see because what I could see was so shabby.
Understaffed for a great weather Saturday. Used car manager was filling in and was helpful, but not well versed in the brand new features of upper level inventory. Love the Volvos, bought one in Midlothian.
This dealership is the worst car dealership my wife and I have ever dealt with. We bought a new car with new technology that they explained poorly and, in some cases, wrongly. We then had a series of small malfunctions that required multiple trips back to the dealer. We then had two flat tires within the first 618 miles that they claimed were not under warranty, and for which the new tire and new repair kit cost $500. This place is the worst.
I went to this place to repair My 2016 Volvo S80 couple months ago, they told me my car was crashed before, so the warranty no coverage, I need pay for $380.00 service fee. But after I make payments, I found the problem still existing. I switch to Volvo of Midlothian, they repaired my car perfectly and no charge .When I back to Volvo of Richmond to ask refund, I was refused by every level manager including general manager.after I complained to Volvo of USA, they refund my whole service fee, but no any apology, still think of my car was crashed before.
The staff is extremely pleasant, and helped us from start to finish!!! Not to mention they also were smiling when we entered!
I have bought 11 of my 13 Volvos there Bobby Jones is my go to salesman. He has been a family friend for many decades. Rob in service is always my favorite service department man. Always great and very helpful. I will not own any thing but Volvos.
The service staff is wonderful - they remember me all the time. They take great care too.
Test Drive Bliss. Courteous and knowledgeable team workers.
I would absolutely NOT recommend dealing with these people. They flat-out lied to me about the towing capacity of my vehicle (stating it had an auxiliary transmission cooler when, if act, it did not). I wouldnt trust anything Rick Condrey or his slimy sales manager says. They also tried to wrongly DENY a claim I filed under their interior warranty program.
Brought a used 2016 Highlander here theyve been awesome at taking care of me. I would recommend them to everyone.
Decent dealer . They still have some veteran Volvo parts department people so it makes dealing with them a lot easier when looking for older Volvo parts .
I had my car serviced there for tire rotation and replacement. Service was prompt and Wayne, my service advisor, was very helpful.
Tamir and Kirby are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Excellent experience!
Think twice before buying a used car from Moore Volvo—and then go somewhere else, regardless the deal.I purchased a used 2016 Mini Cooper and paid in cash. I was told that I would have the title mailed to me in 10 days from the DMV . What Moore Volvo neglected to say was that they did not actually have a title, nor did they have the ability to request a duplicate. Their staff had purchased the car from a third party and then their high school office girl shredded literally dozens of titles. This is not an exaggeration or an overstated example. It’s their actual explanation to me when I got a notice from the DMV telling me that I could not get a title. The fact that Moore Volvo shredded titles (albeit accidentally), however, did not stop them from selling the cars. I guess they just thought that they would figure it out as they went. Think about it. If you are considering buying a car from Moore Volvo, ask them if they have the title, and whatever they answer may or may not be true (weirdly enough I actually asked that question because I didn’t know the process of how titles are handed over). To their way of thinking, what they didn’t know about their own paperwork, did not make them culpable. They actually said that too.I bought my car in March, as I said, paying in full cash. In May, I still did not have a title. What I did have was a whole lot of phone calls. It seems only fair that Moore Volvo should knock the price down a little for selling a title-less car, one that I spent hours and hours fruitlessly trying to track down. I even followed their request and went with them to the DMV, waited for an hour, but even after all that, I walked away with no title. When I got to the counter, after a back and forth conversation that lasted thirty or forty minutes, the DMV agent actually suggested filing a complaint against Moore Volvo. And what did Moore Volvo offer? I think nearly any consumer would think it only fair to be compensated for weeks, literally weeks spent trying to track down a record of what they sold me, for my stress, for my helplessly trying to get what I paid for. It seems reasonable to ask for several thousand off the asking price or an extended warranty. The General Manager never once called to offer help or to apologize. He never initiated any suggestion that they would make things right. When I called and suggested that they offer an extended warranty or a discounted price, he said the most that he could do was to offer to detail the car. There are multiple things wrong with that. 1. The car was nearly new (only 7,000 miles) and it did not need detailing. 2. The value of that is about $300 to a customer and at a cost of maybe $150 to Moore Volvo, which pretty much sums up what they think a customer’s time is worth --$150 off for 6 or 7 weeks of stress--and 3. I would never leave my car to be worked on by Moore Volvo considering that they could not even change the sticker from my old car to my new car without making a mistake. Yes, that’s right. They put a sticker from 2011 on my new car and sent me on my way. I think I’ll pass on their “detailing.”They had one customer rep who was nice and tried her best, but overall, I would say steer clear of Moore Volvo. They did not appear to care that they did not have legal documentation for what they sold me. When I bought my car, I watched as some other unhappy customer stood yelling at the general manager. Little did I know that I would later understand exactly how that guy felt.My message is clear: Stay away from Moore Volvo. My experience was they fell short when it came to handling the legal paperwork for ownership, and the General Manager not only was not apologetic about that, he simply talked over me on the phone when I tried to get his help. Moore Volvo--never again.
I found the purchasing experience to be unpleasant. They were dishonest and in my view attempted to find a deceptive way to gain an extra $500 above our agreed price. Furthermore, they made promises about how the car would be kept between the time I selected it and the time I closed on the purchase that they did not keep. I would not shop there again.
Kevin was super helpful so was Joey. Great service
Most knowledgeable and helpful.
I just purchased a car from these folks and I literally couldnt have asked for a better experience. The gentleman who sold me the car was a delight and the wonderful gal who did the paperwork was a treat. She even looked up a good vegetarian restaurant for me to stop at for dinner on my way out of town.During the buying experience I never felt pressured or trapped in any way, and I truly felt like everyone was honest and upfront with me. I found the car doing a google search and they explained that they do market research every week to make sure they are offering the best prices online for used cars - and they werent kidding! I made the trip out there from DC and would do it again in a heartbeat to work with these folks. The gentleman who sold us the car even took the time to explain a cost analysis to my mom (who was with me at the time of the purchase) of lease versus buy - and there was no incentive in it for him. She plans on getting the car from her local dealership in Ohio. He was just an all around great guy.
Great sales staff! Decent prices.
Outstanding service and comfortable waiting area.
Snooty sales people. They have the attitude that they are doing one a favor by talking to you.
Moores Volvo service and sales team has provided my family over 8 years of exceptional service. Dont know why it took me so long to become a Moores Volvo owner. Staff are extremely responsive and helpful at any time I need asssistance. Thank you All.
Listed a used vehicle as new. Lousy sales tactic.
Will always buy my cars from Bobby Jones. Great guy and gets me what I want at the price I want and is very nice.

The Hotel California of email lists (you can never leave). I have tried to unsubscribe from their email list four times. I have emailed them directly. THE EMAILS KEEP COMING.
The service department is top notch.
Purchased my Volvo from a Hampton Roads dealer, and after moving to Richmond Ive ended up commuting back to the original dealer for any issues due to the terrible service department in Richmond. The other dealer actually brought me back into their shop and showed me, with calipers, how Richmond had lied to my face about measurements and unnecessary repair recommendations. Avoid at all costs.
Very helpful staff and a large used selection
Been going for years. Excellent service
Haha it’s Volvo you can only ask for so much
Threatened to call police and take loaner car, leaving me stranded 1&1/2 hours away, rather than wait what turned out to be 10 minutes for VOLVO OF RICHMOND to get back to me. Unbelievable but true!!Also the sales people not nice and very pushy.i caught them lying all the time and misrepresent.
Excellent service, cordial staff.
