Very nice employee showing me some minor damage under my Honda CRV. Fast oil change, more expensive than I thought it would be. But...I will be back because of the great personal service!

These guys are smart, polite, fast new have we had a bad experience, The guy named Al gave me advice and it actually worked, they are always on point.

Brought van in for shocks/struts all the way around and wheel alignment. After picking up I noticed a small knocking noise and the van was still pulling to the left. A few days later I returned and said I hear a knocking noise and it pulls the left still. I asked if it needs sway bar links the mechanic takes me to the back points out the rack and pinion and says this is why it’s pulling and making the sound you hear. You need to replace this not now but soon and gave me a bill close to 2k. No refund for a pointless wheel alignment not sure why they’d still do a wheel alignment if the rack and pinion isn’t good or going out. Now some time later I bring van in to get inspected to see what all work I’d need done. Turns out it is a sway bar link n nothing is wrong with rack and pinion. If you value your money save it and don’t go here to be over charged and work done that doesn’t need replacing.

They did a great job. Provided a thorough estimate complete with pictures. Got the job done on time. Also nice they have a shuttle service.

I went in with a problematic battery Saturday at 3:30 and they were closing at 5. I figured they couldnt look at it that day and could wait until Monday, but they surprised me by calling me about 4:40 to say they could replace the battery. It was great they could get it done so fast!

They are prompt with service even without an appointment and I have always had faith in their work. I highly recommend them to anyone.

I came in on 10/16 and both José and George were phenomenal. I had never been there before, but saw the auto shop had great reviews and I was in an emergency because my vehicle was leaking gasoline. They were willing to stay past close and help me fix the problem at a reasonable cost. The service was unbeatable and would highly recommend for auto repairs.

I live in Edina and went to this Car X for an oil change after seeing their great reviews (and calling ahead to see if they took walk-ins). I was very satisfied with service - they were very accommodating despite it being noon on a Saturday, they were very honest and also they were very friendly - which on its own is enough to make me want to give them my business, as Ive been to a number of shops that treat you like an inconvenience. I definitely feel like this is a shop I would trust for more extensive work on my car. 5/5 would recommend.

Always willing to.do what they can to get your car fixed as soon as they can. Problems always get resolved with your vehicle. Reasonable price. They dont nitpick thru looking for things to be fixed, but if they see something, they say something & recommend. Ive been going there 20 years & i dont hesitate to go for another 20 yearsWent to another location when having issues with my vehicle, was close to closing time, but they stayed a little late & resolved my issue. Walked in on a crazy winter morning last year to get a flat fixed and they took care of me right away. They arranged to get my alloy rim straightened, got my spare on so I could get to work and had it all ready to remount by the next morning. Richard is a no BS dude and the fellas that work there were the epitome of polite when interacting with me. Communication was great and I never felt out of the loop or like I was being patronized. Would definitely recommend.

Car-X has maintained my cars for many years. Richard and mechanics have been very competent in diagnosing and fixing minor and complex problems. They often offer lower-cost alternatives and charge fairly. I had a totaled Volkswagen, with a $5000 repair estimate from a body shop. Car-X fixed the essentials and most of the body damage for $2000 and it is still good 2 years later.

Richard and staff are honest, accurate and always finds time to fit you in. I got a quote from another auto shop for some work and his quote was almost half the price! He even called after he started working on the car and told us the price was actually going to be LESS! I trust them completely and will be the only mechanic I trust to work on my family vehicles.

Brought my car in, was still leaking power steering fluid and while driving it, it wasnt shifting gears when it was suppose to. They couldnt find why it was leaking and to fix the other stuff would cost way more than we wanted to spend, manager has a 02 Honda Accord for less that what it would have cost to fix the other one, took it for a test drive, drives good. Not pretty, but bought it

Exceptional. Walk out of work with gas all around my car. I figure its the gas line i had repaired here a few weeks prior. I call and ask about towing and billing options which came to if it was work they had done, theyd fix it and pay the tow. Next day i find out its not the work they had done, but a common occurence in older vehicles. But they still covered the tow and did $100 work with labor for FREE.. Understanding, caring service. Recommend to EVERYONE.

I always get good service here and have been going here for over ten years. Ive even had a few freebies thrown in when Ive had some weird issue with my car after it turned eleven years old. Acknowledging I know nothing about cars except gas makes them go (for now) and bears makes them stop, Ive never felt taken advantage of before. They all seem very honest and straight forward.

Getting off a 12 hour night shift I walk outside to see my tire is flat. It is also raining and cold. I cant get my tire off with the dumb wrench thing in the rain and want to cry. I call ahead and arrange to get towed to this place and get a towing suggestion from Richard (the price of the fifteen minute, half mile tow from Kim seemed completely absurd at 80 dollars, but thats another story).Richard, the dude at the counter and on the phone, seemed nice. Sarcastic and a bit blunt, but nice. They got my tire fixed roughly 30 minutes later. I leave smiling despite wanting to cry. They didnt try to sell me anything else, and were overall nice. I made it home alive. I have no idea what the average cost of patching a tire is, really... so I cant attest to their prices being high or low... but they were able to get me in right away which is worth it.

The environment is welcoming in this location. They accept walk-ins even though its been a crazy Monday. On top of that their services are good and prices are competitive compared to other auto service location Ive used to. They were able to recommend the best stuff for my car and Ive left their compound with piece of mind. Im looking forward for future oil change and car inspection services from them.

Car-x of Richfield accepted and repaired my car on a whim today when my brakes stopped functioning. Car-x had the necessary parts delivered to their location, and had my car completed and working again within a few hours. They provided excellent customer service, honest and useful information about my cars issues, prompt service, and reasonable pricing. I highly recommend utilizing Car-x of Richfields services.

Absolutely love this place. I have taken almost all my cars there. My Prius hasnt needed fixing yet, so it hasnt gone there yet. Otherwise, many cars over 25+ years I do believe.Richard is great to work with even though he has no sense of humor and cant take a joke. Best prices and service in the Cities. Its also nice to find people that really care about you and your car. They want the best for you and will work with you to get things done as quickly as possible.I cant even remember all the things they have done for free for me. Little fixes here in there that they did while servicing other things.In other words, you can trust these people to do the right thing and charge you the right price.

My car has had a few issues these last few months. Today is the 6th time Ive been in that time frame. I keep coming back because the staff is great and honest. I know I can trust them. My experience at this shop was by far better than many other mechanic shops. Jason, the assistant manager is very helpful and friendly. The store was pleasantly clean and free of foul odors. The services were done thoroughly and efficiently. Short wait and a fair price.

I went in to Car-X to have my brakes inspected. Richard Jellison the manager told me they would do a free inspection. His technician took it out for a test drive and returned. Both he and Richard looked at my brakes, reported they were still in good shape and determined I just needed my brake peddle adjusted, which they did for no charge! Thanks Richard for the kind and honest service! Ill be back for future service.

Found the shop out of the blue. I paid the dealer $160 before they would give me even a rough estimate, they took 2 days to look at it after telling me they would get it in that afternoon. Richard gave me a rough idea over the phone. I had 800 miles to go the next day. He got it in the shop that afternoon and had it finished mid morning charging well under half of the dealer. He will definitely be my first call next time.

Ive been taking our cars to see Richard, George and the rest of the crew for 4 years now. From minor repairs to fixing major problems with an older car to giving their opinion on a used car we recently purchased, theyve always been thorough, clear, and willing to explore solutions that are best for the car and best for my wallet. I called four other shops in the area starting at 8:00AM on a Saturday. None of them had time to plug and patch my flat tire. I called Car-X Tire & Auto and Richard said Bring it in. When I got there he asked how many miles, and advised that since the tire was still under a Mfr. warranty that I could get a new one from the dealership. I still got it repaired there because Richard went out of his way to help me. Great guy, funny too. Ill be back.

Great Experience! Car wheel was making a loud concerning scraping noise, was in and out withing half an hour. Was a very simple fix, just had to tighten a nut or two. Service was excellent and they didnt even charge me.Best experience Ive ever had at a mechanic.

We have had many good experiences here. They have provided us with honest appraisals of issues/concerns and sometimes that means repairs aren’t quite needed yet! I had an unfortunate event today that left me stranded on the side of 66th and Penn. my brakes weren’t working like they should. I looked over my shoulder and saw the big yellow CarX sign. Not knowing anything about the place of the people who worked there I was hesitant. To my complete satisfaction my car was repaired as I waited. The manager and mechanics were transparent to the repairs needed leaving me confident the work would be complete. A fair price was offered and the work then finished. I would recommend this business.

Got a oil change done and tire rotation. Oil change was fine but, 1,000 miles est. later started hearing a loud noise. When I got home I went to my trunk and pulled out my lug wrench and discovered that a lug nut fell off and the remaining four were barely on the threads of the hub. Went to my neighborhood garage that I shouldve never left and had to pay $25.00 to tighten and replace lug nut. But I at least I know its done right.Also my wife brought her 13 GMC Terrain in and used my free oil change coupon and they told her that it needs synthetic. Only high performance and hard working work trucks need it. Its a preference for all other cars. I wished she wouldve called me first. At least the coupon was applied to the oil change and she can go longer before getting another one.Absolutely the last time they will see our two cars.

Got a flat tire while bringing my kid to school. I limped over to car X and they saved the day. Put my donut on so I could drop him at school. Told me to check into my tire warranty because I might have roadside hazard insurance which covers a free tire. Turns out I did have insurance so they took care of me at no charge that morning. I’ll definitely be back for service in the future!

Went in for an oil change and to find out why my car was squealing. They found the source of the noise, changed my oil, all in under 2 hours on a walk in appointment. First time I went was just for an oil change. They are fair, honest and treat their customers right!!! I’ll never go anywhere else!!!!

By far the best place to get your car fixed in Richfield. My wife and I have been taking both of our cars in for everything. Richard, Jason and George are all extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgable and will do right by you. On many occasions they have saved me hundreds of dollars so we recommended them to friends and family. Richard Jellison the manager and his staff made my very hard emotional move to Minnesota from Tennessee so welcoming. My car broke down in Iowa while moving to Minnetonka,MN. They fixed it and I got it as far as the on ramp to go back home just blocks from CarX. His staff came to get me, take me back to shop to wait for my ride. They got my car back in shop and worked with me because I had spent all of my rent and food money to get to Minnesota after break down in Iowa. They really do take care of customers.

I came in to get my brakes, oil change and tires balanced. They got done pretty fast, so I thought to myself, damn I hope they didnt rush the job so much that they sacrificed good workmanship. So I followed up later that week to check if my oil change was actually changed. My oil wasnt changed, my fluids werent topped off, so if I would have kept on driving eventually something could have been totally wrong. Then even on top of that the balancing of my tires didnt seem to be done because my steering wheel was still shaking. So I took my car back to get it re-checked. They misdiagnosed my tire balance for a semi bent rim, so I paid for a tire balance that I didnt even need. Then they didnt even offer to make it correct with anything, so I dont recommend these people at all!

This place is awesome. My family and I are not from the area. Our fuel pump went out on a Saturday afternoon. We had it towed to CarX in Richfield. They got us in right away and got us a fuel pump and we were back on the road in a couple of hours. We thought we were going to be stranded for sure. If we lived in the area they would be our go to mechanic for all our vehicle maintenance needs. A good and honest mechanic is worth their weight in gold and this place has it. I called my father who used to be a mechanic and he told me he thought it was the fuel pump. I didnt tell CarX that and yet they diagnosed the problem very quickly. I couldnt believe how little they charged us for labor too. I seriously wish I lived in the area as they would get all my business. A big Thank-You to Mr. Voight and Enriquez.
