Best repair experience ever! Chuck is awesome plain and simple. My transmission started going out last week and he tried everything short of replacing the whole thing because that is one of the more costly repairs for a car. I was notified with step by step progress in regards to the diagnostic process and given options at each step which made me feel comfortable and also that I wasnt being taken advantage of. My part was delivered late from the distributer and while it was not the shops fault, they helped me out with transportation so I could continue to commute to work and that was greatly appreciated as rentals can be very costly. They didnt have any loaner cars available at the time and I was allowed to use the shop van which to me was the difference between getting to work or not! Much thanks to Chuck and the team! You guys are awesome!!!

Chuck and the guys are top notch! Had a few issues with our 14 Grand cherokee and some scheduled maintenance to be done. They used oem parts as requested and labor was very reasonable.Much cheaper than the dealership and you get much better personal service. Was told 2 weeks for transmission to be gone through, waited a week and called they said they havent had time to touch them and wont be for 3 weeks. I asked why they told me 2 week turn around he said never said that. Bunch of liars and hacks watch out form them...

After being told by another shop that my car most likely needed a new transmission, I brought it over to Richfield Transmission Center. They checked it thoroughly and determined it only needed transmission fluid. They even offered to check again on the fluid level for free to rule out a leak. I appreciate their honesty and great service. I will be bringing my car here for regular maintenance from now on!

Chuck, the owner, went above and beyond with installing the transmission in my 2006 Nissan Titan. In the past year I have had to do a few repairs as one would with any high mileage vehicle. Great place to have work done. They do pretty much anything, and better yet they dont jerk you around. I can really appreciate a place where their goal is to service the customer. They went above and beyond my expectations when I dropped my vehicle off and they gave me a ride to where I needed to go, and came and picked me up when in was done. This is the best place to get your car serviced, in my opinion. The mechanics here really know their stuff and I had a problem with the van a bit ago. I was afraid that it was a really bad scary & expensive problem. It wasnt. I wont be able to tell you about it because I think my mechanics took a vow of silence for new drivers problems on my behalf. Suffice it to say, I sure learned something to watch out for. They have never thought less of me & all of my questions even though I am a driver who learned how to drive later than most. I love the way that they gave me a schedule for the van system and parts of the van to be looked at. You keep your car better with preventive maintenance. Actually, anything else is kept better that way as well. Bodies,Houses, Cars, or Relationships.

Good shop. Chuck and the techs were able to describe what they intended to do, gave me exact prices (down to the penny) and let me make the call on if wanted it done or not. I had most of what they recommended done. The work order was very clear in regards to work performed. very professional. You might find a cheaper place out there, but you get what you pay for. I will bring my vehicles there again.

Honest shop with good customer service and fair prices. Had some work done here a few months ago, they were able to find the problem and fixed it up in a few hours and my car has been running great ever since. I recommend them.

I usually never leave reviews but this shop is the best Ive been to. I talked with Chuck about how I had my car in multiple shops and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Richfield transmission diagnosed all issues and did multiple repairs at a reasonable price. The car had a small issue a few weeks after all repairs were done. Brought the car back in and some of the wires were loose from the ignition switch. Got it all taken care of and didnt charge me any additional fees. I appreciate the honesty of these guys and willingness to work with their customers. Thanks!

Came rfor oil change and it was done within a short time. It was oerfectly done. Their prices are awesome.

Terrible, had to get a new powersteering pump return line and backbrake job. Had an estamite done and they said its going to cost 505.17 in parts and 500.00 in labor. The guy at the front was verry rude and also said he had to special order the part and it could take weeks. Found the part in two hours for 25.00 dollers. All together I payed a total of 300 dollers. People..this is a scam shop find someplace else to spend your money. There are plenty of hard working honest machanics out there, richfeild transmission is a scam...I repet this shop is a scam.

Overall. Not pleased. Took over a week to get my tranny rebuilt after I was told it would take 2 days when I brought it in. Cost more than anticipated even after factoring in the extra work discussed based on the numbers we discussed. Then after I reinstalled my transmission into my car (I pulled it and brought it to them myself) I find that its leaking out the side of the accumulator cover (they forgot to put the seal on!) So I call the shop, tell them whats going on, and ask what they would like me to do. I am instructed to fill it with fluid and drive it to the store for them to look at it. So, I try that. The car makes it about a mile down the road and stops going forward. They tow it to the shop for me (NICE!) only to charge me for the tow and all the fluid they added once they fixed their screw up. I guess you gotta make a living somehow. The bright side, My car drives forward, for now... Well see if it holds up down the road or if maybe other things were forgotten to be installed too. Bottom line, They will fix your car, but it may cost more, take longer, and who knows if it will be done right the first time. Oh, and you will not be offered an apology if any of these things happen. Not if they take too long and not if a part fails.

Honest and up front... all you need in a repair shop!

Ive had an absolutely terrible experience with Richfield Transmission and the owner Mr. Chuck Lowinske. I brought in my car when its transmission went out and I left it with them to fix. They took out the old transmission and put in a different one, and I paid them $1500 for the labor, as the original transmission was under warranty and the part itself was covered. Less than 30 miles after I drove my fixed car off their lot, the transmission blew out again. I called and asked if they would come tow it back, and they said we wont tow it back, we did our part, thats no longer our problem, were sorry. So I paid to have it towed back to them to inspect. They offered to install another transmission for another $1500, which I declined. I wasnt about to pay them twice for a job they didnt even do once!My car wasnt worth anything with no transmission, so I had to have it scrapped. I then withheld payment on my VISA for their service, as they didnt truly give me back a car that was working. Richfield Transmission and Mr. Chuck Lowinske then sued me for the payment, despite not fixing my car even one time and not offering to even come close to standing by their work. They pointed fingers, hid behind claims of we did our job, and then sued me. At the end of the day, I was out a car, $1500 for the labor, and innumerable hours of stress working with these low-class idiots.I think the character of the people behind this shop speaks for itself, and they have no pride or ownership in their work, and definitely no social skills or customer service interests. I would avoid this place at all costs. Mr. Chuck Lowinske is a white-trash liar and cheat, he will grunt when he meets you and hell sue you after performing sub-par service.

Not the cheapest, but so far I have been happy with their work. Ive had them rebuild transmissions, replace timing belts, and when ever I buy a used car with an automatic I always have them give the tranny the once over.

I brought in a PT Cruiser to get the tranny fluid & filter replaced. Great job on that. What I didnt like was what I now feel as them trying to rip me off in other ways. I was informed that there were aluminum flakes in my original tranny fluid which was possibly caused by a part in the tranny rubbing against the casing and that I should replace the transmission right then and there, to the tune of somewhere around $1800, which would be saving me money as the car was already up on the hoist. They took me upstairs to give me visual on what was possibly happening by using parts they had; that was nice, but all the more to sell me perhaps. I was told that I should very much replace it and that I would have 3-3,000 miles before theyd be seeing me again for a new tranny. I refused the service as the car wasnt worth it. I asked my local mechanic on their opinion and they said You got that line? I was never shown the fluid with the flakes, which if youre gonna ask someone to fork over nearly 2 grand, seems odd; and 25K miles later- no problems. So watch out for these guys. Friendly? Yes. Change your fluid alright? Yes. Trustworthy? Beware. Just a story here to share.
