We called this ACE this morning to double check that they had a battery powered trimmer. We started to read off the product number and the guy rudely cut us off and said he wasn’t near a computer. We told him the product name and he supposedly went and checked and they had it. So we drove the 45 minutes to get it. Well... they didn’t have it. He apparently glanced down the isle and saw a trimmer... but it wasn’t the right one. Thanks Duane.
I have gone to this Ace Hardware store several times a year, because it is close to my home, but have been met with an unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Perhaps if I was a man, it would be different. I went there a couple days ago, hoping their level of customer service had improved. I was sadly disappointed. I dont care if theyre close by any more. Ill go elsewhere.
I just want to know why this store is so unbelievably understaffed. The only person I saw that were actually on the sales floor was a taller African American guy with glasses. He was extremely friendly. I mention this only because I saw the rest of the staff which consisted of 3+ come from out of the back laughing and chatting it up! This poor guy I mentioned earlier seemed absolutely flustered with the amount of customers he had to handle on his own. Poor guy. Completely unprofessional on the other staff’s part. Outstanding service from Josh. I gave this store one star, but added another one because of Josh’s service.
Always ready to help if I ask where something is. The clerks at cash register are great too. Ace had everything I was looking for
I placed an online order for pickup because of, well, covid. I was tracking my order through the email, and went to the store after it said it was ready for pickup. I never got a confirmatory email to say it was ready or any instructions for curbside. When I got to the store, there werent any designated spots for curbside, so I assumed I needed to go in to pick it up. When I walked into the store, the cashier didnt have anyone in line, so I asked him where I needed to go to pickup an online order. He indicated that I needed to go to the customer service desk, which is all the way at the back of the store. The employee at the customer service desk asked for my name, then disappeared around the corner for about 3 minutes, presumably looking for my order. He came back out and asked for my order number, and went back to the same area he looked previously. He spent about 5 minutes this time, and then came back out to the desk to confirm with me that this was an online order. He then went into a different hallway on the other side of the customer service desk, and finally came back with my order about 3 minutes later. He then wanted me to sign for my order with his pen that he had been using. When I asked for hand sanitizer to wipe off the pen before using it, he then said that I didnt need to sign it. I immediately left. I am absolutely furious that I had to spend more than 10 minutes standing in the back of the store to pick up my order, when the entire point of placing it online was to minimize potential exposure to covid. Ace Hardware, I can guarantee I will never place another online order or even shop in your store until you fix this process. You should have designated parking spots for curbside pickup, labeled with a phone number to call for the actual pickup. You should have a designated online order pickup area near the front of the store that is well labeled and well organized, so people dont have to walk through the entire store and so they also dont have to wait as long. Were still in a pandemic, and you should be making changes to keep your employees and your customers safe.
Super friendly staff at this Ace store thats been here since the mid 90s! Big selection and well stocked with plenty of parking.
Really is the Helpful place, nice & local when you in the middle of a Job.
This place had almost no inventory on the shelves in the plumbing department and had some random boxes full of junk on the ground so you could barely walk around. Someone in managements needs to get this store functioning again
Ace is super convenient - youre probably going here because its much closer than the big box home improvement stores. The trade-off is less selection, but for routine stuff they have almost everything you need and its quick to shop and get back to your project. My favorite thing is the bins in back - nearly any screw, bolt, nut, furniture parts, springs, etc are available. They also have a lot of great services like window screen making/repair.Aside from selection the only other trade-off is pricing tends to be higher than the big boxes but not always...and not enough to make me want to drive further and deal with crowds.
Horrible place to shop. Smells
Bunch of mask wearing little sheep will never take my business back to any Ace hardware thank you
Always helpful staff. They go out of their way for the customer.
This is the most helpful Ace I’ve ever been to the staff are very knowledgeable and they have a great stock of anything you need!!
Nice store, friendly store attendants, nice selection. Only flaw I can think of is the store is small so obviously isnt going to have a big selection of different items. Yet still has everything one needs to fix a bathroom, paint a house or start a garden
Cashier was polite and had good sense of humor. Easily found what i needed. Store clean.
They dont restock any exclusive items. Staff doesnt know anything at all. Terrible. Ace is going down hill
Great local hardware. They have a good bead on the things you need.
Great store! First time shopper and I was impressed with the customer service. I will definitely be back.
The staff here is so helpful and knowledgeable!! Cant tell you how many times Ive gone in looking for a product that I think will do for whatever DIY craft or general household repairs and Ive been given ideas and products that are better suited or priced. I wish they were open a tad bit later.
Always great service and I like supporting my local neighborhood stores.
Helpful staff. pricing is ok.
ACE is so convenient. I can bicycle there find the hardware I need, even get help, and be out in less than half an hour. Stuff costs a little more but its worth it to have a local shop like this.
Couldnt find something 5 mins before close, had 4 emoyees track are last one, that somebody set in the wrong shelf
Well organized with a friendly staff. I come here for all household needs as its easier then having to deal with the massive stores. I.E. Lowes. Ace hardware definitely has a focus more on home projects and your household garden needs. Knowledgeable staff, and they are a big green egg dealer. I have one so its an all around win. Great spot for all your weekend warrior needs!
Their stock is somewhat limited. I was looking for a matallic paint but they did not carry one. I asked for help so I didnt just miss it. There were several employees wandering around asking if I needed help but when it came to check out there were at least 6 people ahead of me in line and only one slow checker available. Dont get why the wandering employees cant come open another register when they can clearly see a long line. I walked out without purchasing what I was going to buy. Not very good customer service in check out! Ive not had very good luck at this location finding what I need for a reasonable price. Lowes is down the street and much better selection, prices and believe it or not, customer service. Probably wont waste my time going to this Ace hardware anymore even though its in my neighborhood.
Nice little store with a decent selection of most things from ladders to plants
Great smaller hardware store. Where u can find stuff u need quickly. Awesome staff
Good little hardware store. Ill get my basic hardware items here.Add on: I decided to support McLendons over here. Customer service is a bit better and you can always find knowledgeable reps. I know ace hardware is a small store but its drooped a bit in quality and customer service lately.
Frustrated that sale items are not available!
What a great small town atmosphere at this place! Who knew??? I would and will drive out of my way next time to give these folks my return-business... a young lady named Amy helped me with a door knob today and she could not have been more pleasant of a person to deal with!Dawna at the register was equally polite and welcoming! What a great staff and wonderful location!Thank you both again ladies!
The employees are very friendly and always willing to lend a helping hand when you need it. I appreciate that quite a lot
My local Ace Hardware has most things I need to complete my household repairs & smaller projects. They stock a nice selection of items & I like that I dont have to wander all over trying to locate what I need, unlike the big box stores. The employees are easy to find when I have questions & they will special order things if I ask.
This may not be a big place like Lowes is but I still like coming here because it is smaller and always has what I need for basic stuff.
Pretty easy to find stuff. Staff helps me when I ask. Prices are a little more but make up for it in service and convenience
Ace is the closest hardware store to my house. I shop here mainly when I am doing repairs or need hardware items to do a job, i.e. nails, tools, paint, etc. It is really nice to be able to get my shopping done quickly, and Ace generally carries the things I need.
If you need odds and end bolts or screws they have bins where you can buy what you need. Manage is great!
Ace Hardware is good when you need something and you dont want to leave your neighborhood. They have some paint, tools, and some misc stuff. More expensive than Lowes, but you pay for convenience!
Folks are friendly and always ready to help and give advice. They also help our Cub Scout Pack with paint for service projects and fundraising. Good People
Store is very well stocked thru out with a very friendly and helpful knowledgeable staff.
Stood at the back customer service counter with a part I had a question about for several minutes more than one employee walked by.Then an employee walked up and helped the customer who walked up behind me and didnt even act like I was there. So Im at Lowes giving them my business part was less expensive also. Sorry Ace when you treat people like their invisible thats what happens the become invisible and you never see them again.
Quite good store for common hardware items. Helpful staff. However collection is small and you might not find all you are looking for.Specially If you are looking for a particular brand or a very specific item, I wouldn’t take my chances.
Great place. Helped me out majorly when I needed to rekey my locks. Will definitely be back.
I needed washers for my faucet. The helper was very helpful. I left the store fixing my faucet for $1.53.
Decent local hardware store but small. nice staff. I could get most of my stuff here.
Very helpful people! And they always have what they have on sale there. And that usually have their own name brand which is less expensive a lot of times!
Went to see if They had any Keurig coffee makers for sale after the Christmas sale. They were all gone. Not a normal item they stock
I really like my local hardware store. Maybe that’s what is missing in all these mixed use business and residential areas; a hardware store type place that ties the grocery stores and gas stations together into making a local area a place where living isn’t having to commute for everything.
Great people and while small, always seems to have what I need.
Great prices, well organized, ample parking, and very courteous/friendly staff.
I went to get a set of keys copied. One was a regular size and the other was a small safe like key. Took about 5 minutes and cost $2.99 each. The rest of the basic keys range from. $2.99 to $6.99. the prices were not listed.
Love shopping here, clerks are knowledgable, helpful and fun. Lits of items to choose from and the paint is awesome
GreatNice store. Good service. Has what I need, can get in and out quickly!
The few percent more it costs at a neighborhood hardware store is inconsequential compared to the Savings in gas, time and aggravation driving to the Big Box store!
They are very helpful. Customer service is excellent. I will definitely return.
Good store but not so friendly people
Checker Josh has not been trained in customer service at all. Would not respond to any comments. Told us the wrong total and when corrected, did not apologize or correct himself. He obviously does not appreciate his job. He either needs to get a personality or not work in customer service.
What an awesome store. First time there and loved the items available at this store. I will be back!
Expensive, but convenient. Great place to pick up an item rather then going all the way to Home Depot or Lowes
Good selection, great staff & service.
Always friendly associates when Ive been in.
Very nice! Friendly
They always have what I need in stock. Fast friendly service
Purchased a kitchen faucet kit in what looked like a box that had been previously opened. There were no markings of any sorts to flag the box as such. After 1.5 hours of hard plumbing work I was thoroughly upset when I realized that the item was defective. When inquired about this I was told that it must have been a customer return. What a joke. No QC at all at returns? Just throw the product back onto the shelf.....Its a 145.00 dollar item I must add.Ill do my best to not shop here again
So happy to have an Ace hardware so close to home. It always amazes me that they have everything I need, no need for the big box store.
Staff ate very helpful, especially for those not well versed in home maintenance projects
Nice store. Always clean. People are friendly. Ask and they will find.
Expensive consider I bought a tool for a friend who said they would pay me back but never do damn 😠 the huy and phuong and thuy bs
Lives up to the advertising, the helpful place.
This location is very very customer oriented...the store manager Brett is a prime example of what costumer service should be... so many stores now worried about volume rather than service I love Ace Hardware small town feel great products and like I said the service cant be beaten...thank you for being here
VERY good Did a good job making my key. Reasonable
Ordered on line and picked up on store. Great helpful staff. Great selection of necessities.
Ace is a small store but it was just what I needed and the customer service at Highlands Ace is fantastic.
Good selection of screws and bolts not so good if you need lumber or construction supplys
A bit pricy, not the best selection, but local and staff is friendly.
Nice place to grab minor project items. Helpful personnel.
Great in and out adventure, got what I needed. Pruning shears for roses on Valentines Day
Love a local Ace hardware!
Not a bad place to shop for what you need.
They cut my keys incorrectly twice. They picked the keys out, it wasnt my fault. Also saw my ex wife Stephanie here... SO I guess hos dwell here
Always helpful. For most common needss, much more convenient and easy to shop in than the mega places.
Over priced but quick in and out when i need something quick
Helpful staff and large selection
Always best experience shopping here at the highlands ACE. Staff are super helpful and friendly!
Friendly helpful staff
Great customer service 👍
Very helpful and knowledgable staff. Have wide selection despite smaller store.
My go to hardware store since its 5 mins away lol
Next to mclendons its about the only other place with a decent selection of hardware.
Always been treated right. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly staff.
They have the basics, checkout is usually reasonable.
Ace is so hit or miss this store has major staff issues, it reminds me of a run down CVS with a few employees hanging on that hate their job. I like Ace, I dont like this Ace
Answer all your questions have all your needs
Could be cleaner, tried getting a discount on a plant on the verge of dying (not actually) and they only offered 20% & some cashiers are superstars!!!
Great customer service. We help you find everything you need for your project.
Always helpful. Amazing selection.
Generally knowledgeable people to assist.
Majority of employees are knowledgeable and helpful. For some its just a job. Tends to be understaffed. Small store trying to compete with the 2 large Chain stores.
Renton Highlands Ace Hardware is Tip Top! Great staff, garden center, keys cut and more!
