Wow, the service was great - they did quite a bit of work on my car from new tires, to general maintenance/repairs. The service professional called me to talk through all of it and to give me options/recommendations. I picked up the car and it drove like a dream...highly recommend this place!
I strongly do not recommend Meister Werks. Brought my Volvo in for a noise on the front end. When asked what I thought the problem was, I said I dont know, maybe the transaxle?- I know little about cars. Went back at the end of the day after no response from Meister Works. They said they found my problem. A rock about 2X1. I told them that I did not think that it was a rock causing the issues. The gentleman at the desk suggested we go for a test ride. Once we were in the car, he said that he could clearly hear the rubbing noise I was referring to. He made the comment that he didnt think his tech had actually test drove the car. It was at the end of operating hours so we agreed that I would bring the car back in the morning, which I did. At noon I received an estimate to do the front disc brakes for $842.36. They followed up with a call shortly afterward explaining the brake repair. I questioned that brakes were what was causing the noise and vibration. They said they would take ANOTHER look. This time they came back with the differential as being the issue and you really dont need brakes right away. He strongly suggested doing a $450 transmission flush to determine if there were metal shavings in the old fluid. Anyone would know by listening to the sound the car was making, that they were going to find metal shavings. It was clear to me at the end that they knew that I was unlikely to spend $3-4K on a car that is worth $5K so they were going to milk me for the $450. So after two days of being ran around and redirecting them THREE different times I ended up with a $128 bill. Go to this shop at your own risk.
I’ve brought multiple cars of mine to Meisterwerks over the past several years for a variety of different types of work, including performance/tuning related upgrades, typical maintenance such as oil changes and alignments, and difficult to diagnose repairs. The Meisterwerks team has always been friendly, honest, and has made this shop my one and only place for any car related issues I have.
Great guy to worth with. Very wholesome and cool!
Walked in and talked with Trent Ingersol at the front desk. Super nice guy. Great team at Meister Werks, they take great care of clients with a smile!
This place is TOP NOTCH and as TRUSTWORTHY as u can get. If all businesses were like this the world would truly be a better place!I had some tires installed on brand new aftermarket wheels. The rims cost about $400 a piece. There was a small mistake made by the Installer. A minuscule scratch resulted. Dave called me immediately, explained the situation to me and told me he was going to buy me a new wheel. He didnt ask me if I wanted a replacement, HE TOLD ME HE WAS REPLACING IT. I told him to hold off on ordering it until I could come and see how bad it was. I was expecting it to be bad based on his phone call but when I got there and took a look, the scratch was so small it took him a while to find it again. I would never have noticed it.In the end I took the wheel as it was and he and I came to a more than fair agreement. The fact that he was willing to go as far as he was to correct a small mistake speaks volumes about the character of Dave and the way he runs his business. He has earned a lifetime of business from me for sure!Thank u Dave, for being an honest person and an honest businessperson.
I do not recommend this shop!!!!!!!!!!!!Quoted me one price and charged another. I asked to have my pinion seal replaced because I know exactly why it was leaking. So there is no excuse for a estimate discrepancy. When I call the shop he wouldn’t answer. I called three times and left a message then answers when I call from another number.(not the first time this has happened) they put Liqui Molly in my diff and refuses to acknowledge it’s the wrong fluid when it’s a well known e46 fact my diff needs BMW brand fluid that has more additive. Now my diff makes noise. The Service advisor named Trent has a bad attitude and is hard to talk to. He told me that e46 diffs just go bad.(he has no clue of the mileage) If you go to this shop with your baby expect them to say (See You Soon) whatever that’s supposed to mean.UPDATE!Fluid filled with proper brand and the problem is solved. Oh btw thanks for not reinstalling the driveline cv gasket too! Top notch boys “ToP NoTCh”
Wow, brought them an aftermarket wing for my STI, carbon fiber. I’d have to drill some holes in her and I didn’t trust my self. Thank god I found these guys, amazing job and on time. They did great work and I’d trust them again with anything else. They will be putting my Subaru decals on this week, I’m so excited. Oh and the price was reasonable and worth it!
Great experience bringing in my 2010 vw passatThey were able to address the check engine light, and made all the repairs necessary to prevent the same issue from happening again in the future. My passat is approaching 80k mi and will need a new timing chain. They brought that to my attention without being pushy about it needing to be done immediately. The customer facing staff was very knowledgeable, and able to explain what was wrong with my car in simple terms.Trent was super helpful and friendly, and really helped make the experience positive
Called and made an appointment last minute to get my Macan GTS serviced. Trent (can’t remember if that is his name) was so patient and friendly over the phone and I instantly knew this place was going to be great. They are COVID conscious which is also amazing and the owner Dave was just as great. We will be customers for life! Great work, great prices and great people! Thank you! We will go to you for all of our needed car services!
I had a great experience at one call mechanic shop! I will certainly recommend this shop to anyone looking for good quality and affordable car service repair.
Professional trainers and their services are amazing! Highly recommended!
Professional guys! They found the issue, and fixed it when my dealership was unable to. Highly recommended!
Great service, everything is honest and upfront. They are a very busy shop and still found time to fit me in.
Two thumbs up to Trent who recently worked on my Volvo .I happened to be in another vehicle as he pulled my car out of the garage area.. When he excited the Volvo and shut the door he must have noticed a small area of dirt on the door as I watched him use his t shirt to wipe off the door. Obvious attention to detail inside and out ! Always good service .We have already scheduled our follow up service here.
Quick and easy! Got my car serviced for a fair price! Will be coming back!
Not sure what all other negative reviewers are smoking but Dave at MW is awesome to deal with! He is fair in his pricing and always willing to give recommendations or tips and tricks if you ask. Their shop is super clean and they do good work. I have bought numerous things from them and will continue to be a customer! Highly recommend the shop to anyone that needs quality work done on their import, suspension and alignment work or custom airbag installations!
From the very beginning to the very end, the communication, attention to detail, and efforts into making my Friday morning better has been accomplished by meisterwerks. Car needed to be dialed in to tackle the winter season and they certainly did that. Found some other problems, but it got fixed as well. If you guys need anything done here, I wouldn’t hesitate. Nissans, come on in. We’re definitely welcomed here. I own a Nissan Z31
What a great shop! I had a horrible experience at the BMW Dealership that was trying to charge me for things I didnt need and refused to fix my car unless I had everything they suggested done. They even told me to trade the car in and buy a new one. They quoted over 4k to start and stated it could be way more. Thank goodness I found Meister Werks and Tyler was great!. I had my car towed to them, and most of what the dealership stated I had to have done was not necessary; the codes showing up had been work completed and needed to be just reset, which Meister Werks did for me. The real problem was a radiator hose, thermostat and water pump, and the charge was less than half of what the dealer quoted. Tyler was honest with what needed to be done and what didnt need to be done. He took the time to listen and explain the problems and kept me informed the whole time. I am a returning customer for sure! They made a horrible experience into a great one and my car runs great! Thank you.
Super nice people, well done job. Great work
Excellent experience. Prices are much better than dealer, Dave the owner is very courteous & knowledgeable and the techs were a pleasure to work with. Need 4 ignition coil packs replaced and they did it in record time. Found a small coolant hose damaged during repair and it was repaired with no cost to me, no hassle, and provided a loaner car. If you need work on your German car I’d head to Meister Werks.
Great all around service. Not five stars because I was charged twice on my card, not there fault but my bank.
Awesome service and very friendly. The owner is willing to take the time to answer any and all questions. A much better option then taking it to a dealer. Theyve definitely got a new repeat customer.
Overpriced!! Took me a few weeks to get over the fact that I paid this shop $700 to change two camshaft position solenoids on my Mercedes C250 and the “repair” did absolutely nothing. Seriously!? Does this seem right? It’s my fault for not shopping around and/or doing my own research prior to my appointment. But, the fact is, I don’t question my doctor when he’s prescribing medicine because I trust his expertise and judgment. That’s not the case here... just a dog and pony show to convince me that the solenoids needed to be replaced, regardless.I even called back and stated that the issue is still there and their response was to go with the “more expensive” possibility. Quoted over $5000!! No thanks, I’ll pass.
Great people great service will definitely be a return customer.
Dave the owner is very knowledgeable, priced reasonable and taking their responsibility. I love to get my car fix there. Now my family all will go there for car maintaince. Highly recommend if you are driving a European car!! Thanks Dave and Taylor!!
I was amazed as soon as I walked in, Meister werks is a great shop that provides excellent service. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They fixed what I brought my car in for and Dave, the owner, came over and pointed out some potential issues he noticed while working on the car and walked me through on how to fix them. Prices are not bad either, Id highly recommend this shop.
If youre a very fastidious person when it comes to you car (European cars especially) and want custom work done, or a specific type of maintenance, these guys are your go-to.The owner is extremely helpful and friendly. He even went out of his way to pick up the tires I had ordered so they could be installed on-time. 10/10 highly recommend.
Had a routine oil change done after I saw a coupon for an oil change. Great how they use Liqui Molly oil! First time coming into the shop. The waiting area is clean and comfortable, all employees were extremely nice. After the oil change they made a few recommendations after the inspection and answered any questions I had. My windshield fluid light was on due to being low and was not filled which normally is if I go to a dealer but other than that, fantastic experience and I will be back if I need more work done on my vehicle. These guys are defiantly passionate about what they do!
Id been taking my Porsche here for a few years now I remember when the guy opened the place always smiling always happy super nice guy. Does top notch work
Read the good reviews and booked an oil change - safe audition. Price was very high, though they did have the oil I wanted. Was hoping for something extra, like a quick vac or a coupon for a return visit... instead, very run-of-the-mill service and I had to reset the service clock myself. Absolutely no difference than a trip to a quick lube place, but three times the price. If youre loyal, I get it. But they didnt do anything to earn my return business.
Great place to get your car serviced.
Took a chance on this place instead of my regular MB garage since its open Sat & closer, but right from the start the invoice price was much higher than quote over the phone for Service A, then he said hell correct the price not for Service A but to an oil change, which is about the same price my previous place charges for a service A. They dont even use factory spec oil. Would not recommend going here if you want dealer equivalent service. Thanks for wasting my time.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!I was lied to on multiple occasions after I told the owner not to work on the vehicle he ordered parts and charge me for shipping the owner Dave is not a trustworthy individual!!!UP DATEI TOOK MY CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP, and upon inspection they discovered that what David at Meister Werks was telling me was wrong with the vehicle was a complete fallacy on Dave the OWNERS part!!!Daves original quote was $1, 022 the dealership fix the problem for $280 plus a refill charge for the AC of around $100!!I have noticed it in most of Daves reviews the responses to the negative comments or how can we rectify the situation or we have no records of you ever visiting us, this to me this to me seems highly unusual and and makes my case towards him much easier to show that Dave has NO INTEGRITY OR HONESTY!!!!
Had a great experience here. I brought in my 911 (993) and they did a fantastic job. My bill came in at what was quoted and I was quite pleased. Will continue to do business with them in the near future.
Possibly the worst customer service ever! Do not use them. After an issue with parts I ordered not fitting due to bad a description on there part I was told I should have measure because that is part of modding a car. What they should understand is that not all car guys no everything about cars so they need to rely on the descriptions. After being talked down to on the phone I asked for my money back and I was told no and then I was hung up on. On top of the fact that I sent them an email 3 days ago and never got a response. And on top of the brackets not fitting look at this weld job!! Never use these guys NEVER!!! ** update within 10 minutes they went on there website and changed there description of the part adding a * saying they are not liable for refunds. Horrible company!
I own(ed) another local shop for 8 years and have had a business relationship with him that long, Ive worked on his cars before doing some custom things before he opened his shop too. Stand up guy, has a good reputation in the German Car Scene and does a lot for the enthusiast crowd including putting on car shows up and down the west coast. If I paid for people to work on my cars Id go here.
Started going here after the other shop here closed. At first it was a little confusing (they forgot little things) but the owner and people here are earnest and work with you. Prices are very reasonable and I have been a repeat customer. I go here for my oil changes, brake replacement and anything else. Only wish they could do better at notifying what happens with my car when its in the shop.
What can I say about Meister Werks in Renton, well its one of the best managed and maintained European Shops I have ever worked with. Dave Meister the owner is very knowledgeable, priced reasonable, has fast and accurate service, treats everyone fairly and respectfully, takes pride in making every customer happy. I have been going to this shop for about 2 years. I first brought my 2003 VW Beetle Turbo in, then my 2011 BMW 328i E90 and now my 2005 Mini Cooper S. I get excited to stop in and see the crew because they all are so welcoming, they treat you like family. I continue to do business with this shop due to the respect they give me and my vehicles. Both my current BMW and Mini Cooper are in great shape because of this shop...
Great work on our Volvo and Mercedes Benz. Much better than working with a high volume dealership, here I got personal care for my cars.
Shop was clean and the employees were polite. Was quoted an estimate for the parts, an estimate of the labor and an explanation of what was to be done. Shop called while they were working on the car to let me know the estimated quote would be my bill. Car was vacuumed and happy when I picked it up.
Dont waste your time and patience with this shop. They are slow to respond by any form. They rarely answer the phone and often say things they cant recall or change their minds.I used this shop a few times because they specialize in Porsche but never again. Had a broken dash switch. They didnt want to spend the time to research a part number? Sent me on a Goose-chase for the $600 part and then told me they never install customer supplied parts. WTH?Im certain the poor reviews will outlast the business itself. Good luck douches
Got my wheels and alignment done here. Super fast and nice people at the shop!
I was recommended by a friend as my air ride kit failed to come with any fittings. Not only did he have everything I needed, he also helped show me the best ways and cools way to run a few things. Highly recommend for your air ride needs
Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable about European Autos. Will definitely be back!
Unable to get a hold of these guys. I contacted them through their website, left a voicemail, and came in during their open hours on a Saturday all to no avail. Perhaps a negative review will get their attention?
This shop is hands down the best shop for anything you need from normal maintenance to performance and aftermarket parts there is no other shop I would bring my GTI to they have made a dream of mine come true by bagging my car they are very fast and helpful and make sure I leave with a smile on my face
Had Meister installed KW Variant 3 on my MK IV R32 years ago and he did a great job. Now Im ready for them to install a MSS Kit on my GTI. I need to give these guys a call again. They definitely earned my trust.
Mechanics that take advantage of people like this should be put out of business, period. Its NEVER ok to charge money for work that wasnt done, its unethical, and its clear they have no morals. # shame on them # karma is real # no good comes from STEALING
I AM COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH THE WORK OF MEISTER WERKS. Thats the short version but if you want the longer version with details, please keep reading. My 2011 Toyota Yaris broke down while I was on freeway late at night. I called my insurance company, Amica, and their customer service recommended me to take my car to MS even though I asked Shouldnt I take it to Toyota of Renton? so I took their advice and had my car towed to MS. Because of the word European in the shops name, I was a bit skeptical but now, I am very happy that I did. When I walked into the shop as soon as they opened at 9AM, I was greeted with a smile by the owner Dave who is very friendly. I explained what happened to my car and left my car in his hands. He got backed to me with detailed explanation on what was wrong and what needed to be done. I dont know much about cars so I had to rely on his knowledge and expertise but when the work was done, I found out that he did everything right. How do I know this? Well, my Yaris was due for airbag recall so I had to take it to Toyota of Renton today. I handed the report Dave prepared and asked Toyota if they can quickly do a diagnosis to make sure everything is running fine (Dave recommended me to do this). The guy at Toyota assured me everything is in good order and I have nothing to worry about. They told me MS did a great job in fixing my car. :)So all in all, just like what Alexandru in the earlier review mentioned, I too dont understand what the negative reviewers here are saying. Again, the dealer, Toyota of Renton, even said MS did a great job in fixing my car. If you dont believe me, see the photo I attached and see how everything shows green. I hope my car never breaks down again but if it needs a work in the future, I will definitely take it to MS. By the way, his staff who greeted me as I went to pickup my car was a very nice and friendly too. :)
Got over charged for a routine diagnosis was told 117 but ended paying 200 and they still didnt find the problem. What a waste... I should have gone to my local mecahnic.
Avoiding these guys for sure from now on. A truly embarrassing and unprofessional experience. Owner was extremely rude to me. He was nice in the beginning but went extremely rude on me when I was concerned about some performance issues they adjusted. Apparently Im not supposed to ask questions about the work I paid them to do.
Worked personally with the owner on several parts orders. order was shipped quickly, excellent communications, and i even got some free decals to pimp my ride. highly recommended if you have vw or audi mods that you want to do
Meister works had a hard to find product I was looking for (carpet to match OEM trunk), they made it super easy to order on their website, and it showed up a few days later! Surprised to have a great product so easy to order and show up, thanks!
Ruined my previous car ( Lexus is250 6spd). Constantly had to take my car back, and informed me I was there to often for service & I was taking up their time. (Maybe if it was done right the first time, i woudin’t be back)Customer service was horrible. Litteraly eneded up trading in the car afterwards. After they take your money, they do not know you anymore.Stay away people...
Think twice before bring your vehicle to this shop
If you care about your car, do not come here. Meister Werks ruined my latest car project which was not only incomplete, but what parts were finished were poorly done. Owner failed to return any calls, when I finally got him on the horn he was so aggressive and dysfunctional in his behavior, that I realized my only option was to write this off as a total loss and am taking my car to a shop who do what they say they will do. Heartbreaking experience and feeling substantially disrespected by an owner who has no concept of doing what he says he will do. Complete waste of time and cash.
Originally I was recommended to go to Meisterwerks by a friend. Skeptical at first since they were a brand new shop I decided to start with a basic alignment. Immediately I was greeted by the owner, Dave, who made me feel very welcome and offered me coffee and a donut. The family atmosphere is most definitely present. We walked back to the alignment rack and Stephen, the technician, described to me the process of getting my vehicle aligned ( I have a 97 w140 S500 which Im slowly turning into a show car - we just finished suspension, BBK, and a few other mods that mess with alignment and geometry). On the drive over, my steering wheel was canted about 15 degrees and it pulled hard right with no input. After 20 minutes of chatting and walking me through the process, Stephen took my car out for a test drive and came back with a huge grin. He then handed me the keys, and mentioned that if I had any trouble he stands by his work. Wow. My baby didnt pull anymore and the steering felt better than before the mods went on. I immediately went back the next day to get some exhaust work done. Stephen is very knowledgeable and unlike most muffler shops, will explain exactly what he thinks should be done and why. Not pushy at all.Overal, I would rate Meisterwerks 5/5 stars and I hope that they continue this trend of making people feel like family as they undoubtedly become more and more busy. I will most definitely be going back and recommend that you pay them a visit for all your euro needs.
Good shop.
Called 4 times, nobody answered. Sad day indeed
