What a joke. Walked in, asked to use a coupon I found online. They wouldnt honor it. They claim they are not a participating store but the Midas website clearly lists them as one. The coupon was for $100 off. I was prepared to spend much more. Staff was unhelpful an hands were tied because the owner is not available. I asked to speak to the owner and I was told there is no way for me to contact that person. Long story short, if you cant even honor the coupons you advertise how can I trust that youll honor the work you do. Lost my business. Not blaming the staff, nothing they could do. Empower your staff to make good decisions. What a bad first experience.

I came to midas for the first time to have my brakes fixed, James got my vehicle in right away, even though they were busy. My car was finished later that day and I was able to pick my car up. The prices are fair, and a lot cheaper than other automotive shops I checked with in the area. The staff are all friendly and take their time with each customer. I will be bringing my cars to the renton Midas from here on out, I recommend others do the same!

Im giving this place 3 stars instead of 5 because they were dishonest with me about what actually needed to be repaired. I came in because my check engine light was on and then after an hour or so they printed out an invoice for me stating a quote of $3,600.00 I was so flabbergasted I wanted to scream because thats almost the amount I pay for my college tuition quarterly and I thought wow! Am I even going to school next quarter? Anyways as I was looking through the invoice I noticed that parts would only cost 300 bucks and the labor actually cost 3K. Which is crazy because it costs

This location does not accept their own coupons. I went to get an oil change and I had a valid coupon but they would not accept it. I told them that I got it from their website for their location at 265 Rainier in Renton and they said that the owner of the location will not accept the coupons. How can you not accept your own coupons? Crazy! I will take my business to Jiffy Lube or Meineke.

Ive had a couple of service items performed by this shop and consider them to be honest and reputable. While there was a snafu on the last service item, the manager there took exceptional care to remedy the issue in a timely manner. Despite the inconvenience, the experience was overall a good one and I will return to this shop again for future services to my vehicles.

We’re there 10 days ago. They agreed to help change mirror cover and order new one for us. But we waited 10 days no one called us, I just found that Monday guy even didn’t put my husband contact info in their system and didn’t order our replaced part for us at all. As I am returned client, I feel really confused!

I have been going to this location for 8 years and have always been extremely happy with there service. Extremely friendly, good rates and I love that they do a 5 point inspection on my vehicle every time!!! Great place to go right before a road trip!!! I highly recommend them to anyone.

Been going here for years with zero problems until this trip. Normally I go in Mondays or Tuesdays for the best service imaginable from a guy named Frank, he’s no longer there. The new lobby “crew” is two smug individuals that can’t even muster an apology for knowingly giving bad information. In for a scheduled oil change, the meathead at the counter didn’t even greet me, and only chimed in once his smug receptionist informed me that the location doesn’t accept their own coupons. A coupon literally printed from the site with the location’s address on it lol. Last time I was here I didn’t even have to present the coupon (that I forgot) bc Frank used one off the counter, he knows I’ve spent thousands with the business over the years! Regardless of policy changes, the refusal to make an exception and the attempted “scolding” I received from the meathead manager are enough for me to never return. The way I was treated I’m sure I won’t be missed anyway! The hefty receptionist literally shook her head at me as I was leaving haha, in this climate regarding employment?! The nerve.

I absolutely love Midas! James is the best and has been with me through 2 cars now. The quality I get, the timeliness they have, and the care they take are unmatched. I was headed down to Portland the same day and needed my car done pretty quick and they were able to get all my needs met and not keep my car overnight to do so. I had a synthetic oil change, replaced all 4 brakes which are warrantied, replaced 2 rotors, and machined the other 2 all for $650.

Got brakes and rotors done. Heard a horrible grinding noise so I took it back. They didnt torque down the bolts to my wheel and by the time I realized it 3 of the bolts had fallen out and the other 2 were so loose i needed no tools to remove them, just my fingers. Then told me my struts were the problem. If you value your vehicle and the lives of anyone you love or other people on the road, you will never go here.

Never never never going back. I paid for them to do my brakes. They put new pads but did not turn the rotors. Not to mention the master cylinder brake strainer almost fell off, thankful for the people I take my car to now because they found all the problems Midas created. Bow I have to pay for new brake pads and rotors to be turned cause these guys did not do the job they were paid for.

I just love James and his team they always listen to your concerns and they tell you everything about your car then you can decide if you can get this done Or if it not in your budget they give u options to do the credit card finance or you could do this and then come back later and do the other I just love that and they let you know about Coupons especially if there’s people who are not financially able to afford some of the things that need to be done with their car also they’re very patient and listen to everything that you need to know or tell them about your car and also they are just very pleasant people and I just so adore that whole team you guys keep up the good work

My partner got her car serviced today. They were very efficient and finished in time for us to go to Portland. We got 4 new brakes replaced, rotors, & a synthetic oil change. All together it cost about $600+

Gentleman helped me so kindly. I asked if he had a tire for me, and he said he would look, found me a brand new tire for cheaper than this other place tried to sell me a used, run down, holed up and old tire. They even changed the tires around for me to make sure it fits for best driving ease

Took car in for second opinion on timing chain issues and rear end work. Estimate similar to my other mechanic. Decided to have Midas do the work. It was way more involved the originally thought. They started extra hours on a Saturday working on it. They communicated well and kept me informed on what was going on.

My brakes were making this awful grinding noise and a friend referred me here. They showed me what was wrong and explained everything to me. They got me back on the road within 2 hours and gave me a great deal when I checked around they had the best price. Also I got a lifetime warranty on my brakes. Highly recommended!

They were very kind and worked show how valuable I am to them as a cusomer. Only thing that went wrong so far is I was told a price for a set a tires and service but was explained that there was a mistake on their part and the total would be more. Still havent got my tires installed yet but I have paid in advanced and now Im expected to have to pay more that what was talked about initially.

Been to the Midas auto shop twice now and on both occasions managers Frank and James were very polite and professional in there communicated service, explained vehicle terms to me in a way that I could understand . Scheduled the appointment, waited for and received an email confirmation, with specific time and an approximate time that the appointment would take ... And the managers name for who to speak with.Arrived earlytearly for the appointment to behbe told that that the old guy working the counter yesterday, didnt put it the system, so they dont have time today. Poor planning, training, management, and customer care. This coupled with no accountability for an error that they clearly made are all traits of a team or person that Id rather not have working on my car.

My car wouldnt start I was pretty sure it was the fule pump beacuse I didnt hear it turn on and I was out of gas. So I got my car towed to Midas a 165$!!! for a dignostic witch its a fule pump so... it had all the signs of fule pump problems nothing to tricky here right?? So for a fule pump 878$ including a 10 minute 165$ dio fee I just think its wrong to do that during a pandemic Im I got let go from my job 2 months ago no unemployment Ive been a customer for 7 years now its. Kims auto on 272nd and Pac high way was willing to wave the dignostic fee and do the fule pump for 552$ it just gos to show these major companies dont care about the customer just the dollar Midas is sapost to be about saving the customer money way to step up when it really counts and I was charged all that money and you guys didnt even look at the breaks 😐😐😐

I had a really great experience here. Frank and Kevin are really nice guys! Prices were better than Les Schwab! They got all 4 breaks done and it really only took about 4 or 5 hours, not bad! Ill be going back!

I have dealt with a few mechanics and auto shops in my life. Hands down these mechanics and this auto shop are one of the most dependable, professional and trustworthy mechanics and auto shop in the business. In a profession where people can be less than reputable I have never encountered an dishonesty or bs over charges. I don’t know about any other Midas in town but the Renton Midas and mechanics are awesome.

Spoke with a Midas rep at this location, who was extremely helpful. After I told him what I was looking for, he told me what they offered. But he also informed me of a different route I could take to take care of my issue. Anyone who will recommend whats best for the customer no matter what, is someone Id want to work with.

Had a bunch of major repairs come up on one of our cars all at once. My wife has an on call job and we cant be without this vehicle. They got us an accurate estimate within hours and the repairs were all done in 2 days. Really appreciate their efficiency!

This Midas location has been my first-to-go spot for the routine vehicle maintenance, but, unfortunately, after my last visit Ill look for another place. Frank is great guy and negotiator, he keeps this place highly-rated and provides good customer experience, but his staff cannot handle simple instructions. I dont wanna be more specific, just so you know - be careful.

Went here a couple of times for oil change. They also do free visual inspection and check engine light inspection. Last time when I visited for oils change, they suggested me changing tires, since they were worn badly. And from them I got that Costco has good deal for tires!

These guys were great. I went in to get my catalytic converter fixed and they had it back to be by the end of the day. I went back a week later because I couldnt get my license plate off and they took care of it for me, no charge. Loved this place

Great customer service!!I came in to get my oil and transmission fluid changed, only to have the mechanic tell me I wont need my transmission serviced for another 50,000mi - saving me $100!So happy to find an HONEST company that will let you know exactly how to take care of your car, and not try to up-sell me! They even topped off the air in my tires and recommended which gas to put in it.100% will be coming back, and will recommend to anyone with car troubles.

Terrible place of business. There mistake left me and my family stranded on top of the mountain pass. $350 tow and our weekend trip lost. They admitted the mistake they made, fixed the problem at no cost but refused any offer of compensation. Asked for a free oil change ($60 value) and was told to leave the store immediately. The manager openly admitted not caring about his community or his customers. I will sadly never return. Even McDonalds will give you free fries if they mess up your order!Zero stars if I could

I have been taking my vehicles here for many years. Frank is one of the most trsut worthy mechanics in the business. He tells you his honest opinion and his decisions are always in the best choice for the customer. He helps explains why and how and makes sure you understand what is happening to your vehicle. Great guy. I have never had a problem after they have fixed the issue.

My friend was quoted $1700 at Younker Nissan to fix an exhaust noise. Apparently, the service writer saw a single woman and quoted an entire exhaust system. Midas, however, found an improper weld was broken on the flex pipe. They repaired it and took 90 minutes and $180. Honest and open!Based on my experience, I set an appointment to see about a possible torn boot on a CV joint. At the inspection, the mechanic showed me that the boots were both fine, not dried out or torn, so that the joint still had lubrication. He said I didnt need to replace them, unless I wanted to because of noise. The manager, Frank, quoted me a very reasonable cost per side, to completely replace the half-shaft, if I decided to do that in the future.Since we now had time, I asked them to check the air conditioning, saying we might need to look for leaks, vacuum the system, charge it and add leak-detection dye. Instead, the mechanic came back with an inexpensive, dead relay in his hand, that kept my fully charged system from kicking on. He showed me where the relay went and allowed me to buy it later and put it in myself - $6. I went to Frank, the manager, and insisted they charge me some shop labor. $41 and were both feeling that were doing it right.

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences here. This is where I get my oil changed, and Ive had new tires put on and a few repairs as well. I love knowing I can trust the staff to treat me well, and not try to use scare tactics to get me to agree to unnecessary repairs - as Ive had done to me at other repair places. Frank is wonderful, as are his other managers. Highly recommended.

Frank, was AWESOME! Very Nice, Friendly and helpful! I put in an appointment online in regards to front brakes, within 5 minutes appointment was confirmed with estimated times for inspection and work to be done. Came in, was friendly - the estimated time for inspection was an hour, he called me back, explained the issue, and what other issues there was. Was honest about the price, honest about how long before Id NEED to get things done if not done today. I got 1 of 2 things done today - even gave me a discount! Told me an estimated time it be done for the labor, and was finished an hour before the estimated time! That freakin rocked! Def will be back for part 2 and other things! Made me feel welcomed, helped, wanted and that my money was worth their time and labor.

Took our car in for a tune up and while it was there our window stopped working. They stayed late on a Saturday to work on our car and help get the window temporarily fixed so we wouldnt have to drive it in the rain or leave it unsecured. They were very kind and helpful throughout the process.

Incorrect quote on phone. Was over double price in person. He denied making this mistake and passed this blame on me. Not.. I repeated the quote 2 times to him and asked if that included labor. Well in the end he refused to sevice me. It was very hard to get there with my oxygen and walker.

The head guy here ( I believe his name is Frank) is very trustworthy. Hell tell you what you need to get done, and hell do it right. He also doesnt try to upsell you with this or that BS problem like so many mechanics do. Ive gone in several times to check on something that I thought might be a problem only to be told that its normal and no service is needed. How many other mechanics would let you get in and out without at least collecting some fee from you? Definitely recommend.

I just got a used van it had a lot of pre existing problems so when the muffler came apart and was dragging on i5 all i needed was a quick weld job they did a free check on my car they didnt try to sell me anything more than what i asked them too but were happy to explain any questions i had every estimate was decently priced they were very friendly, honest, and helpful they had fast service too but they werent that busy that day:)

Midas wanted to charge me $419 to change my spark plugs. Why is it that spark plugs are $60 for all four and they were wanting $300+ for the service? That’s absolutely ridiculous and outrageous. This location will try and rip you off. I don’t recommend going.

I totally enjoyed my time today while my car was being repaired my car was leaking oil really bad my thoughts of high expensive and the fear of not having the money...they showed me the problem a very lose oil fliter. Got a new filter and a oil change.they clean all the oil off from the bottom off my car. I used a coupon which promised oil change and tyre rotation for the fair price.1. Final price was greater, for your car.2. I could not get them to do the tyre rotation. They told me a stupid fairytale about you should have a good tires on back at winter. On FF vehicle! They rejected my wish to do it anyway. If I knew it before, I would not use Midas in that case.3. I also asked if it possible to repair a tyre and change the spare wheel I used instead, they said yes. But in result they just repaired it and put into the cars trunk. They said they didnt have enough of time and I must do another appointment... If I knew it before, I would not ask them to do it, in consideration of they do it for money, and there is a lot of places where its possible to do it for free..I will NOT recommend to use them!And Ill never come back.

Hung up on!! DO NOT go here!!I called to get a quote and was hung up on, INTENTIONALLY! The man asked what engine my van has to which i replied I believe its a V6. He said ok and then was quiet. after about 4 or 5 minutes of silence he comes back and says do you have the information? I asked what information? Turns out he was wanting me to go get specifics from my van. I told him might have asked me to do that rather than just say ok. He told me not to tell him how to do his job and not to call back or come in and then hung up on me.

Stopped in for an oil change. Im from out of town so I dont know the area and I explain as much, gentleman offers to schedule me for tomorrow or the next day. I explain I dont have the time to wait and ask if there are any other places around I could try. His response was that its hard enough to run one store, you know so I dont know ok fair enough, flippant but fair.So I asked if I could at least get him to scan the engine light (big painted window says free engine light scan) and he suggested I go find an AutoZone or similar cause they cant do it here.Rude. Unprofessional. Unhelpful. This is why I use brake check back home instead of Midas

1,000/10 service. They changed the clock on my car for daylight savings when they changed my rear brakes. They can expect me back for my front brakes on November 4th.
