I am very thankful and grateful for All About Cars services. My friend and I was coming from the Bay Area for a bowling tournament and discovered the engine light on in his mustang. We stopped in Sacramento got a new battery and coasted those mountains to RENO non stop. Got to reno, stopped to get battery charged because the alternator went out and drained the battery. We called All About Cars services and they was able to put a new alternator in on that day. Thank you so much for your services guys, much appreciated it. Or else we would have been stuck in RENO til WED.

I cannot rave enough about this place! We had our first experience together when having tires mounted on my car I recently purchased. Following that experience I ended up with a questionable issue I needed help with and without question Joe had me come right in and made sure to take the utmost care of myself and my vehicle. Free of charge he did a diagnostic, reset some techy car stuff and gave me helpful fatherly advice in regards to maintaining a vehicle thoroughly. I havent even considered going anywhere else for car services. Thank you guys for making me feel important and treating me like family! You guys are awesome! 😁🚘💯

While in town I called to quote part and labor and ask about processes to warranty out parts that were already in there. Instead of politely helping me to understand, gentleman kept cutting me off (didnt even listen to the entire situation) and then cut me off with a rude, long story short, Im not going to do that, even while trying to explain that I am trying to understand how this works. Since cutting me off, he didnt even try to listen to me tell him I am trying to understand before hanging up. Would NEVER recommend or use this shop.

I took my truck there for a oil change and they took 4 hours to do it for one and for two I bought all my own stuff and they still charged me like they used there stuff! Wouldn’t recommend at all!!

I feel like I spend more time here than almost anywhere else in Reno.. So many cars, so many breakdowns. They ALWAYS do a good job. Being a woman trying to get a car fixed without price gouging and fixing unnecessary things is RARE. These guys take care of me and they dont tell me BS just to make a dime. If you want a fast turn around, reliable work, and decent prices go see Joe and Joaquin. Ive taken my 2000 eclipse in, 2007 avalanche, 2015 Jeep (today), and theyll be seeing my ML320 next week.

I took my car to them. They did some work that they thought it would be. They gave me my car back and the next day there was the same problem that showed back up. Well I took it back to them because they said they will honour their work. Two weeks later I get my car back after they said there was nothing wrong. Not two hours later same problem. I took it to the dealership and they found the problem. Something that All About Cars didn’t even look at. I will never go back to this place and I will never let any of my friends go either. They are a rip-off.

Transparent, honest, no BS

Service is always great, prices are low, and I like how they never have an issue if you want to drop off your car and get it at the end of day like after work. They always are flexible and are great to work with. I highly recommend.

Joe and his team took EXCELLENT care of me when I was in dire need of an honest mechanic. They gave me the best rate anywhere on a new transmission, and helped with some broken hoses while they were at it. They never upsold me, were professional and quick, and Ill keep them as my go-to shop for years to come.

Seems fairly dishonest in my opinion. Not good service in my experience. Known to cause damages and not make repairs or honor warranties. Some shady dealings! I would not risk going back nor recommend this business! Plus, I have known many former customers that would not recommend this business also as they have had similar business dealings with them also! They also seem to know where they draw the line and with whom!

We were vacationing in Reno from Oregon. Our truck developed a serious engine problem on the day we were supposed to drive home. I was supposed to start a new job the next day, so we were really in need of immediate help. These guys were awesome. They got right on it, diagnosed and fixed the problem, and had us on our way in a few hours. Excellent customer service and they repaired it right the first time. We are very thankful and would recommend these guys without hesitation.

I had a appointment scheduled for noon, it is now 12:52 and they havent even moved my car into the garage. They said the longest itd take was an hour, I have been sitting here the entire time and they havent even began to change the oil. It takes a matter of minutes to change oil; the workers need to learn to prioritize the importance of the projects on hand.

Worst mechanic experience ever. Took forever, kept trying to add more work on and charge more money, and broke more things on my car than were originally broken when i brought my car to them in the first place: my windshield wiper fluid container, stripped the battery terminals, engine temp gague... i could go on. I have to take my car to another mechanic now just to have the things they broke fixed.Also horrible customer service, just rude.Go literally anywhere else.

Always get you in, finishes on time, rates cant be beat, and customer service is exceptional. A place you can trust!

Dont ever, ever, ever take a car here unless you never want it to run correctly again. They blew a gasket and dropped my car at Dolan without my permission... Aggregiously doing work that didnt need to be done and overcharging and lying to my insurance.

This is the best service shop in town owner is a strait shooter and you wont over pay for work.

Jason is very personable and easy to talk to.I bought the Groupon at first, and because of Kents help and knowledge I will continue using this shop. They will be my new Mechanics.They have both shown and explained to me the problems with my vehicles very clearly. They honored their work and I didnt feel ripped off at all.

Brought car in with own brake pads needing to have rotors resurfaced and pads installed. Rotors exhibited no signs of warpage, but I race the car and needed new pads. Resurfacing is important for seating new pads.They installed after having the car nearly 6 hours (takes me 2 hours at home without a lift and no power tools)Got car back and I felt rotors were now warped. Drove a bit and you can feel a vibration. Additionally, brake pads squealed BADLY.Called them and asked about it and they tried to play off my rotor problem as being bad pads. I convinced them to take another look at the car and check the rotors, not the pads.I test drove the car with their mechanic and he said, Oh yea, I hear what you are talking about. Those rotors are definitely not right now. Gave car to them thinking they were going to re-resurface the rotors again.Got call almost as soon as I went back to work saying they wont do the work and it is my pads because the pads I have now are magnetic and dont work with my rotors and the pads that came off are not. I asked if they still had the pads and the guy said yes, he had them in his hands performing the magnet test. I said fine, give them all back to me and I will see if maybe I got bad pads from the manufacturer. He agreed as the best solution and we hung up.Get back to pick up car and they tossed my pads a while ago and the guy I spoke to didnt tell me anything about my pads being magnetic, let alone them having my old pads. The guy then tried to tell me it was the brake caliper (amazingly all four of them) that was bad. A part on my car that has been known to be very reliable for over 150,000 miles and I am still at 54,000.Took the car back very upset by their performance and knowledge.For the record, the pads that went on are the exact same brand and model of the ones that came off. Neither are magnetic and I was lied to and played with. I was robbed out of my money and I had to pay another company to redo the service.Verdict: Went to another mechanic, they checked it out. All About Cars somehow warped my rotors during the resurfacing. I now need new rotors (About $900 for my car). A $400 job turned into $1300 and I had to sand down my brand new pads losing 10% of their life due to the bad mounting and resurfacing. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST. You wont get quality work and they wont take responsibility for their actions.

I went in for an oil change Wednesday morning...I just picked my car up today, right at closing (Saturday). While frustrating to be out of a car for 4 days, I appreciate these guys to the fullest. I found out I needed a new serpentine belt, so I said okay. Then I found out that the pulley/tensioner was seized, so I reluctantly authorized that, too. (What was I supposed to do?) Then, a wrong part came in, then the belt didnt fit. Then the pulley was harder to get out and back in than they thought. BUT, these guys were empathetic, talked to me about what was specifically going on, and really felt bad for all the snags they had. At the end of my experience, I have a greater appreciation for my car, for mechanics, and have learned that some people really do care. Thank you to Jason and Angel for being patient and kind, and for the mechanics that worked through the problems to ensure my car worked perfectly.

They have repaired my cars, my daughters, my sons, DIL, too! Always helpful and professional and wont quit until its fixed! Love these guys!

The place is a scam. I know of 5 customers myself included that have left unhappy.

I could not wait to come on here and say how much I absolutely adore this place!! I bought a 2004 Jetta from a car lot, 2 months later I find out it needs a transmission and just the transmission is 3,000 (and my warrantee covered only $3,000) I could not find a shop in town to replace it without costing me thousands of dollars out of pocket. (Plus it needed new breaks too) I brought it to all about cars and told them my situation (crying at the time by the way). Joe said he would personally take care of the situation and let me know. He called me 2 days later and told me he was going to make it work for the budget I had, and that the most he would go over was $300 and he would replace the breaks included in that price. I was so relieved!!!!!! And he said he would have it all done and ready by Saturday (And today is Thursday) These guys are the best!!!! Total life savor I will never ever go anywhere else.

All about cars dont have any idea about cars. They could not fix my car after a whole week at there shop. And charge me for a sensor my car did not need and had no idea what whats wrong, i had to take my car to a different shop to get it fix. They just want your money and dont care about your car. When i went to get my car another customer was been told they could not find the problem and that it would take more time to get it right after they had his car for more than 5 days. They like to charge for things your car dont need. I end up pay more then i should for a simple bad vacuum house. Dont give them a chance to rip your off. Sydney they most likely found a used trany for under $1000.00 and still charge you more for your brakes. I dont think it costs them more than $2000.00 total cost. What a big rip off. Shame on them.

I have a brand new 2015 jetta. It was its first oil change so i decided to take it here because of all the great reviews, plus the vw dealership wanted $95 for an oil change...BIGGEST mistake. 1. The oil change too about an hour and a half, which i didnt mind at first. Then i got my car and took it home (which is 30 minute drive). i notice that they never reset the oil change button. More importantly it wasnt driving how it usually does. My car is a very zippy car. It takes nothing for it to go 70 mph, but after getting my car back it took so much for it even reach 65 mph.I called them and immediately took it back. An hour later i got it back again and now a light that i have never seen came on and its been 2 days and it wont turn off. And on top of it all my car still struggles to reach over 65 mph.The guy told me the light was just about it being cold and the tire pressure. He said it would turn off as i drive it, but no it has not. So i will have to take it back for the third time.After all my time and gas wasted i would have been better off just forking the extra 20$ and taking it to vw.DO NOT TAKE YOUR BRAND NEW CAR THERE

Two times in a row I’ve made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. Both the times it took them an hour and a half to change the damn oil, plus they didn’t rotate my tires both the times. Think I’ll do tires plus for an oil change next time, least they give you a free oil change if it takes over 30 minutes.

Be careful with these mechanical disks ... they are corrupt and they charge for doing nothing ... I do not recommend this place at all, they will only lose your money.
