Being a westerner all these years I believe I finally tried what a bagel is supposed to taste like 😆. Their cream cheese is house made and amazing too, tastes like strawberry ice cream, I was eating it by the spoonful. And the garlic cream cheese went well with their smoked salmon. I know where to get my cream cheese now 👍🏾.

Love the food and the interior. I had a pacific sunrise on a combination bagel. It was cooked just right and absolutely outstanding taste. Very small wait for my food to be ready and not overpriced. (even though I would pay more for this quality of food). Right in midtown and no problems parking. Bathroom was accessible and very clean and stocked. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often. Thank you for being awesome and available when Im hungry and in the neighborhood. Will be back and will bring friends and family. Perfect little bagel cafe right in the heart of Reno. Within walking distance of the river walk and Circus Circus if you dont mind walking. Flavorful variety of bagels, cream cheese and additional cafe/sandwich menu. Highly recommend!!

Miscommunication about my order but the two ladies working this morning, took the 68 toasted bagel with schmear challenge and rocked it with pleasant attitudes and humour.

We came here twice on a 2 night stay. The workers are very friendly and welcoming. I had the Pacific Sunrise with cheddar and bacon both days and my significant other decided I had superior taste and had that the second day. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Ordered about 50 in food and they forgot half of my order so I was bummed about that. They are all nice in there and they did offer a free cream cheese.

Good breakfast bagel sandwiches here. Nice location in midtown downtown Reno. They were slammed with business when I ordered and the service was still quick! My only complaint about this location was the menu is very small and difficult to read from where you order.

I wasnt sure how a bagel sandwich would work, considering that Ive never had one. The atmosphere was welcoming. I chose the Castle Peak on a garlic bagel. I enjoyed every bite! The staff were friendly, but a little slow at putting sandwiches together today. The fresh flavors made up for the slowness. I will definitely be going back and trying new flavors. -Regina

Truckee Bagel is a locally owned bagel company with excellent bagels. Staff has always been friendly and super helpful. The only thing I found unusual is when going to their store and buying their gift card there is an additional charge above and beyond the amount of the gift. Will continue to support our local community.

Homemafe muffins and bagels yum! They offered fill ups to of great coffee the Nevada. They did not offer indoor seating due to COVID-19 but had plenty of outdoor seating. Great close spot for breakfast if you are in the downtown area. We look forward to trying more when we come back to Reno.

I liked bagel very much but they went a bit lite on the cream cheese. Nice staff and very clean tables

We had four yummy bagels delivered today. One onion, a cranberry and 2 salts. Super generous with the cream cheese. Very fresh bagels. And when there was a little mix up with the order, I called, there was a friendly answer on the first ring, and quick resolution. Loved it and we will order again.

Nice location mid town. Bagels were very good, chewy on outside, soft on inside. Coffee was good as well.

Decent bagel shop in Midtown. We were the only ones in there and took about 20 min to make 2 sandwiches. Dont recommend if youre in a rush. Employees didnt have much customer service. Not a go to, but the sandwiches werent bad.

Rosemary Garlic Bagel, with cream cheese, sausage patty, jalapeños, black olives, and onions. I loved it. Great service, friendly staff, and a wonderful environment. This place is perfect for early birds.

Not sure how this place have good reviews. Ingredients are old not fresh, bagels taste like store bought cheap bagels and they are pretty small. On the other hand, the lady took our order was nice so hoping they find a better way to keep their ingredients fresh.

Some of the best bagels in town!!! Great selection and always so fresh! I got a bakers dozen with mixed bagels for my family and even after a couple days they are still soft (I kept the leftovers in a ziplock). Their jalapeno bagels and spicy cheese bagels are SO good, not for those on a diet for sure cuz you will probably end up eating 3 for breakfast like i did 😬

Bagels were delicious and I really liked that they had seasoning on both sides of the bagel. Service was friendly. The only slightly negative thing is that the bagels are on the smaller size

Being blunt, this is no New York bagel. Its more along the lines of a Montreal-style bagel in dimension and texture. It just doesnt make the grade to compete with a true New York water bagel.That said, its still a bagel worth enjoying, with one caveat to come a bit later.On the plus side, the toppings (seeds, etc.) are plentiful, the outside is nicely crunchy, and the flavor is good. Cream cheese is a bit over-whipped (its much easier to spread that way, so that isnt a total turn-off).The downside? Heres the caveat: If you take them home, make sure you are able to slice them evenly, or be prepared to toast it under the broiler or in a toaster oven. Ive never before encountered a bagel this thick. Even sliced as perfectly as Im able, at least one of the two halves needed to be squished to even get into the toaster. This didnt appear to be an aberration - every one in the case at the shop was about the same dimension, that is to say about 1-1/2 thick. When sliced open, there was no indication that it was over-proofed, so I can only conclude this is the way they make them.Why, then, do I give them four stars instead of dinging them down to three (or worse)? Simply put, the ambience (the place was spotless), the service, and the staff. These are folks who seem to truly care about their jobs and the customers - something my local bagel provider up in the Pacific Northwest could take a lesson from.I havent tried any of their sandwiches or schmears (other than plain), but my sense is that theyll also be quite tasty and fresh, and youll certainly be treated well.

Torn on this review. Happy theres a halfway decent bagel shop in town with fresh cream cheese and lots of flavors; on the other hand, this is not a true NY water bagel. The exterior has a nice shell to it so you can tell theres some boiling in the baking method but the interior is entirely too bready. Definitely better than anything else in the area but not the mecca of bagels in the west.

Amazing food however the staff seems more considered with doing other things besides helping customers. Several times I’ve had to leave because their backs are turned to The door or they’re in the back.

Truckee Bagel has been a lunchtime staple for me for several years; however, I was only recently turned on to their catering services. I ordered food for a board meeting in town and was completely blown away by the fantastic customer service throughout, and by the food itself. Andy and Megan helped me pick the perfect menu to serve (including breakfast sandwiches, bagels/cream cheese, fruit, and coffee) and the price per person was very reasonable. I would highly recommend Truckee Bagel for your breakfast, lunch, and corporate event needs!

First of all, delicious bagels.Secondly, customer service was unreal. We used Truckee Bagel to cater the Sunday brunch for my sisters wedding. There was a snafu with the original order, and the owner himself took over, made everything right, and personally delivered the bagels all the way to our venue in Tahoe City. Absolutely amazing to go above and beyond to make sure this very special event went perfectly!!

Personally, I love their lunch sandwiches (the turkey one with sprouts is great)! Their smoothies are good too, and they tend to serve everything quickly despite having to toast things and make it from scratch.They have lot of bagel flavors too, enough to satisfy anyones liking. The outside patio is nice too, weather permitting.

This is a really nice and quaint little restaurant. The people are always nice and friendly. The environment is very welcoming one open. I would definitely advise all to drop in and Check it out.

I think the bagels are really good but they charge a lot for creme cheese and put too much on there. I guess if you like a half inch of creme cheese sandwiched between your bagel it would be ok. Ive had the breakfast bagel sandwich too. Three stars. Its good. There is a similar place I like better though. Its where I get my favorite muffin.

Best bagels and associated sandwiches Ive ever had. Even way better than the bagel I had in New York. Spanish sunrise is the best egg sandwich Ive ever had, a real treat I look forward to every weekend. Staff is friendly, environment is clean and casual. After eating here I simply will never go back to Einstein bagels, its on a whole different level on all fronts. Im going to start waking up earlier just so I can have a Spanish sunrise before work. I really enoy their iced coffee too. Iced tea isnt my favorite, but 5 stars nonetheless. Stop reading this and just go get a bagel--you wont regret it.

So excited about this place! I just moved from NY and missed bagels... This made my day.They were super friendly, even when Google maps said they opened at 6 am, and they didnt actually open until 7, but still let me in and was super amazing 😁 cant wait to go back

The place is in a cool building with outdoor seating. We went for breakfast and the selection was nice. The food was ok, the bagels ok.If you like their bagels, you’ll love what they do with them.

Best bagels you will find in Reno. The open face sandwiches are spot on. My go to is the Papa Bear. Yet another great restaurant to make its way to us from Truckee.

When the bagels are cooked correctly they are great. MUCH better than Einstein bagels (which are not real bagels, anyway). But occasionally they undercook them and they are not good then at all. Dense, raw dough and the bagels have no color - pure white. This happens sporadically but it is really disappointing when you get the bag of them home and have to throw them out.If they have someone there who knows what they are doing that day then the bagels are excellent.Consistency is an issue, however.

Only my second time here but probably wont be back. Both times were lacking in customer service for sure. I greeted the employee by saying hi, how are you. Her response? busy There were only two other people that she had just helped, NO ONE ELSE. I guess thats busy. $4.00 for one bagel and some specialty cream cheese not worth it. The Raisin Walnut cream cheese was not worth $3.00. And there were not many bagels left, the one I got was not as fresh as I would have liked. I WAS going to order a breakfast bagel but when she said they were busy I felt like I was going to have to wait a really long time for that order. Being that I needed breakfast - due to a medical condition- and I hadnt ate yet (this was 10 am), the experience was disappointing at best. I felt more like a nuisance than a customer.

Grew up on the east coast, so I know what a bagel is supposed to be. Seriously the only bagel shop west of Philly that has any clue how to make a bagel. My only complaint is that toasting your bagel is the default, and no matter how many times you ask for no toast, theyll put it in the toaster. So just watch em...

I had the chief which is a lox and bagel sandwich. It’s just right and appropriately priced. The service was awesome, a very nice lady, asked me how was my day and my order was ready before I even settled in. I will absolutely be back.

I ran in to grab a coffee and bagel sandwich before work and it took a really long time. The coffee wasnt good and when I took a bite from my sandwich, it tasted like fish and I had to throw it out. I dont know if the knife used to slice it was also used to slice some smoked salmon or what, but it was not how eggs and ham on a bagel should taste.

The workers did not help the 2 customers waiting. Waited for a 3rd worker to come up. The first customer just needed a to-go container. Acknowledge customers always!

Went in late morning with a group of three coworkers and there was nobody else in the store but us and two people behind the counter. I was surprised and disappointed that they didnt have any cheese bagel offerings. I thought the food would be cooked fresh to order but Im pretty sure the breakfast bagel sandwich (bacon, egg and cheese) I ordered was tossed in a microwave to heat it up, it turned out almost too rubbery to chew. Although the service was friendly, it was slow, they messed up two out of three orders and forgot my mango smoothie. When I finally did receive the smoothie it was way too sweet and artificial tasting - I thought theyd use fresh or frozen mango, but Im pretty sure it was made with some sort of syrup instead and it was terrible. It tasted like some old womans overpoweringly-sweet floral perfume. Sadly not impressed.

Im an East coaster that loves bagels and Truckee was by far the best Ive had. Went with the Champion I think it was called -- lox, capers, onion on their daily special which was the Garlic Rosemary bagel. Ready to go back tomorrow for another one.

I cannot believe this place is still in business. Every single employee is unfriendly. I have to initiate a hello from them. That is ridiculous. I should be greeted with a smile. They act like youre interrupting them every time you come in. Go somewhere else for a better experience. The price is reasonable and that is the only reason I come here. I have to ask them to double toast my bagel, otherwise its just warmed up. Einsteins is just down the street. Get a cinnamon sugar bagel yummers!

A jewel in the crown of Renos breakfast food scene. This place delivers the carbs, with fresh bagels, and tasty toppings. We ordered directly with the owner, who was very pleasant. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (oinks Benedict on asiago spinach) that was prepared quickly and tasted delicious. A sure bet for a quick and tasty breakfast.

I just took my daughter in for some lunch. Once again amazing food great atmosphere good music. The service was great very friendly and polite! We will come back often
