I’m not usually one for providing reviews online but I felt the need to jump on here and rave about the service we received from Hopkins Acura. We’re a growing family and needed a step up in size for our family vehicle. We were able to trade-in our Mercedes SUV and purchased a Chevy Tahoe that the dealership came across. Last week I took delivery of my third Acura from Hopkins as I have been a happy and very satisfied customer for 10 + years. Once again they have exceeded my expectations in the purchase and delivery of my new RDX. Pablo’s product knowledge, listening skills and consultative approach makes the purchasing process fun and informative and in the delivery he takes his time to make certain you understand all the new technology features and applications that are included in your new vehicle. He doesn’t oversell but he delivers by aligning your needs with a vehicle that best suits them. He is a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with. When I drove 30+ miles there, not only the car is not there, but also they don’t participate the special event. Total waste of my time

I had a great car buying experience from moment I stepped in the door to when I drove off of the lot with my new car! I visited a couple of other Acura dealers prior to ending up here, but as soon as I arrived I knew the team at Hopkins Acura was the right place to buy from. I first met with the sales rep, Pablo, who showed me the car I was interested in and was very thorough with explaining all of the different features and options across all of the available trim levels. I was impressed with his level of knowledge about not only the model I was viewing, but ALL of the Acuras they have.Once I decided on the vehicle I wanted, we discussed pricing, which was completely transparent and a fair value. I had been quoted significantly higher for the same car elsewhere. The finance manager, Eli, came over to review all of the details of the purchase price and broke down all of the costs involved. I felt confident that they werent trying to rip me off the way most car dealerships do.After coming to an agreement, they detailed (and sanitized) the car, got all of the paperwork in order, and I was ready to drive off with my new car in the matter of a couple of hours. This was by far one of the smoothest car purchase transactions Ive ever been a part of. I would highly recommend anyone to give Hopkins Acura some consideration if theyre in the market for a new car. Great experience!! We worked with Julio and he made the whole process so easy!! We were nervous about Covid restrictions and he was so accommodating, he offered to bring the paperwork to my home so we could sign there instead of risking exposure at the dealership. I hate going into dealerships. Usual pressure from sales drives me crazy.Can’t say the same for this place. Leased MDX from Hopkins Acura Redwood City. No pressure at all. Julio, sales person, explained everything about the vehicle. I didn’t feel sales pressure from him at all. Very knowledgeable and a nice person to deal with. Hopkins Acura has one of the best services hands down !I have been Leasing for about 6 years and Pablo Sosa the sales rep that has helped me lease my two cars has been so helpful. He has helped over 5 of my family members purchase and lease cars. The great thing about him is that he also speaks spanish and is very friendly. I really recommend making appts or walking in to talk to him, he is very informative about the cars he is selling and he will try to find a car that works with your budget.

Had a terrible experience. We were looking at a certified Acura TLX and went for a test drive during which we heard extremely loud and clunky noises coming from the car. We came back and let the salesperson know about the problem and there were mechanical issues with a certified car. After they fixed the car, we returned for another test-drive after which we realized that they had upped the price by about $2000 without any prior notification regarding this before we went. Overall, the service seemed very unprofessional and discourteous. We were really interested in the car, but decided to go another way due to these reasons.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Hopkins Acura. From the moment that I reached out to inquire about the car I was interested in, Julio was there. This was by far the best experience weve had buying a car. If you ever want an acura, talk to Artur. He will make your car buying experience amazing and will take care of you. Buying a car is always a complicated affair, but the added pressure of salespeople pouncing on you the moment you walk into a dealership, pushing toward a sale is so tiresome and real turn off. This was our experience at all the dealerships we visited. We have been looking for a new family SUV for some time and had been along the regular circuit…Audi Q5/7, Volvo XC90, BMW X5, LandRover etc.Hopkins Acura could not be further away from that – the most pleasant and supportive experience of any Acura dealer or other Car dealership we have ever met. It’s a smaller quainter dealership, but its real unlike the crystal and metal facades you elsewhere. The MDX also was a great car, we were totally surprised.The entire team is super kind, their general manager Jeff stayed late for us to come and visit, had snacks ready for our baby son and was nothing but charming. No pressure, just lots of answers to our questions and time to digest without obligation. A really refreshing style and manner.We felt “valued” which means a lot, and we loved the car; having actually had the time to explore it, instead of being rushed into a vehicle and then rushed out to a sales desk which is the norm in other places we had visited.We visited the Hopkins group again and served by Julio, who was tremendous. An absolute stand up chap. Honest and who really went above and beyond. The attention to detail and that fact nothing was too much trouble was something we found very special. We spent a long time learning the different options but again the no pressure, no force and we really enjoyed the entire experience. We are thrilled with the Acura MDX and the 5 star service he delivered.If you are thinking about buying an Acura – this is the place to visit. I would like to highly commend the sales and service received since 2008. With outstanding patience, figuring & help, over a period of months, Raj Khara, helped me with a 3rd transaction. We needed to trade in an Acura RDX for a MDX as we had a need for a larger vehicle with easier access to accommodate a hip replacement. Raj started working with me in January, 2020 before Covid changed our ability to do business. He followed up, I believe in April, and seamlessly helped me to transact a trade-in and new vehicle transaction. The service department is exceptional as well, better through the years, and is part of the reason I return to Hopkins Acura. Artur was prompt, courteous, and professional - we communicated via email and got everything done. No haggling, no issues. In and out in 1.5 hours. Bottom line pricing on a lease that was unmatchable by other dealers. Also appreciate that Hopkins is independent and doesnt sell or give your information to others. Would be glad to do business here again!Updated a few weeks later: Had some issues with the car and the staff was not very responsive. Sales and maintenance do not seem to communicate well. Its probably not a surprise, but after the sale the salespeople dont seem to care very much - removed a star.

I bought a used car here. I was provided one key and promised a second would be sent to me. After contacting them 2-3 times a week for 5+ weeks I was finally able to get the key. They never called me back. They never wrote me regarding the status of the key. After speaking with the sales manager on the phone at the end of this process he promised to call me back the next day with the tracking number and failed to do so.Not once have I been contacted by Hopkins Acura. All communication has been me contacting them trying to find out what was going on.They were very nice to me until they had my money. Once they had my money I became a second class citizen. I will never do business with them again.

I walked into Hopkins Acura last Saturday to see a used Lexus 350 they had in inventory from a trade in. It was my first day looking for a Lexus SUV as I am downsizing my current vehicle. I met Josh B. as soon as I came on the lot and he was amazing. He was very polite, patient, and willing to show us/drive us in the vehicle. The car was perfect and in mint condition. I ended up buying the car that day as it was a perfect fit for me and the right price. Josh was awesome and really worked hard to make sure we were happy. I love the car and he even followed up[ with me afterwards. Worst place! Dont go! I worked with Raj Khara. On the first day, I went to test drive the car and I told him that I need to think about it overnight. He said just email him anytime before next morning. At that night, I emailed him that I will take the car and come finish the paperwork at noon of the next day. I also asked him the information of the car so I could buy insurance before head. On the next day, he emailed me back with the car information at around 9:30am. I purchased the insurance, came around 12:30 pm and found out the car was gone. Someone bought the car at 9am. Raj could have taken 10 seconds to tell me not to come within the ENTIRE 3 hour period, but he did not do shit. I took off at noon and drove all the way, with heavy traffic in SV before the Labor Day long weekend to get the car. But Raj just told us the car is gone and left for his work. It is not only waste of my TIME, my ENERGY, and my FEELING. I cannot believe a dealer like this is still in business. They are treating customers like SHIT. Dont come here and you will get a better offer at other places, especially with good customer service!

This is specifically a review for sales. I came to test drive a car, my sales person was extremely pushy and I figured this is the car I want, why not. And I signed. As soon as I signed, the guy dips. My car needed to be portered in. Raj has been extremely poor with communication. I have gotten no phone call updates. No emails. Nothing. I keep calling to check the status of my car, other sales people said he would call me back. He did not. I ended up coming in three days later in the morning because another salesperson told me at the latest the car would be available in the morning. I am here and the car isn’t ready and I haven’t gotten no updated and I am missing work. This has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. However, the finance department was great. They provided a loaner and helped me finish the process (even though it was the guy’s day off).

Beware of these scammers, especially “Pablo”. Its a click and bait. Pablo didn’t keep up with his written message and mail communication and simply turned away. We wasted 3 hours to reach here and learnt our lesson. I would never do business with them and if you do, be very careful. There are better and big dealerships out there, which might not offer great deals, but are straight and walk their talk.

Horrible customer service-have called 7 times in 48 hours to get my title for a car we purchased sent to us. We get redirected to voicemail every time with no return call. Salesmen was rude to my wife when she called. A shame for them, was looking at their cars online for a potential new purchase, will never use them or recommend them again.

This review is specifically for their service department.There is something wrong when the first reaction to an issue is to blame the customer, they made a mistake ordering the wrong part but blamed me for it. I had to call in again as the part required was not there anymore when I was ready to have it replaced. They had diagnosed the issue themselves a few months back but the records disappeared from their system, even claimed this was diagnosed somewhere else! I have all email confirmations from Hopkins Acura which Terry refused to acknowledge and kept claiming he has nothing on his system. When I tried to explain everything was in their confirmation emails since October he was extremely rude. At that point I decided to go somewhere else and was yelled at on my way out to never come back again.Fortunately we have plenty of other dealerships in the Bay Area, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Ive had a wonderful experience with this dealership. I bought my MDX form them over 4 years ago and it was a smooth and pleasant experience. Why the review more than 4 years later? Terry in the service department.Yesterday, I brought my car in for its standard service (I got the 4 year service plan that I think is typical). Apparently, either me or the system messed up and my appointment was on their computer as tomorrow. Whoops. No problem, Terry got me right in and out. The kicker though, and the reason for the 5 star review, is that my service plan had expired in December (Im writing this in February) but when I checked in and Terry looked at my account he said, See you have the service plan, so theres no charge. Not wanting to go against his word, he did the service work on the house ($250ish charge). Thanks guys. See you next time.

I called in to get information and the quote for the MDX, the sales service staff was very rude. I nicely asked if he was able to give me a quote but the man said we dont have the quote and hung off the phone. Considering a car dealer dont know the selling price or because they dont like asking on phone because they cant use tricks to over pricing buyers. This is the worse customer service I ever encountering. This was happening at 10:20AM on April 27th 2017.

No one answers the phone, drop off times for appointments are inconvenient (night before for a next day 10:30 am appt vs. 1st thing same morning), no calls with status or confirmation on cost for service they will do on your car, no call when your car is ready - you have to call them apparently, overheard one guy apologizing for not sending a shuttle for someone because he didnt listen to her entire voicemail message (have to leave VM because no one answers the phone!), basically really bad experience and not likely Ill be using them again.

Bought a used Acura from here the last week in September.I have previously bought cars online from Branded dealers with great success and didnt think this would be any different. Sure, I could have saved money buying from a corner lot or a private party, but my thought, like most people is that a branded dealer, ie Acura, charges a premium for their used cars because they are of a higher quality than the aforementioned. Meaning, I am safe buying a car with no mechanical or surface issues other than normal maintenance.I live on the other side of the Bay, so I took an Uber out to the dealer. I had negotiated over the phone for the car and told my sales associate, Adam, that I was putting my trust in him and the dealership to sell me a safe vehicle for my pregnant wife and 1 year old son.I didnt have a lot of time so, I checked out the car when I got there and it looked clean. I expected to have to pay a little to perhaps change the brakes or struts with a used car.I drove the car back to the East Bay and noticed that the power steering felt off. It vibrated at highway speeds and drifted. I had to use two hands to crank the wheel in the parking lot.Long story short, I took it to my local mechanic who then had to replace the front axel (its two pieces and one apparently had been replaced previously with a sub-standard piece, the car was marketed and sold with all maintenance records. As far as I can tell all service was done at this dealer and no notes of any major repairs.) That was $1200 +install. Alignment had to be done as well. Got the car back and the vibration is gone, but the power steering is still broke.In the meantime, I let the dealer know they sold me an unsafe car and the best they could do was offer me a free diagnostic and repair at cost. Sure, sell me a broken car and then offer let me pay MORE money to fix it. Manager said to tow it out and hell see what he can do. But they want me to pay for the $370 tow. Again, Im not paying any more for an unsafe car sold by Hopkins Acura. Broken Front Axel and Power Steering for my pregnant wife and son. No, I dont think so.Ive given them opportunities to make this right, but its been a MONTH and still no resolution. The car is sitting at the mechanics. My lawyer will be following up.Please think twice before buying a used care from this dealer. DO not trust them, do all your diligence.

Josh, my salesman, was efficient, personable, knowledgeable and helped and did not pressure me into buying, but instead pointed out the great features of the Acura RDX. I felt very comfortable with him and the dealership was also very helpful.

My car is in the shop now and every time I call to talk with service I go through voice-mail hell and then get a sent to the recording to make an appointment. I cant get a real human on the phone. Im actually going to buy a 2017 MDX soon and Hopkins is close by so it would be the best but I dont think I can buy the vehicle here with this type of customer service.

On the negative side, promised extra key for BMW bought (was trade-in), then it was on order for months, now they wont even respond. Salesman/Manager could just have said no second key at time of sale, but I really resent being blown off after the money changed hands. On plus side, car was a represented with no subsequent problems.

Ive bought two new cars from them (in fairness around 15 years apart) and have had by far the lowest hassle purchase experience with them of any dealer Ive dealt with and they have had excellent prices.The most recent deal worked with Jerod (I hope I spelled that right) and he was very professional and easy to work with.I cant comment much on their service department as we have an independent shop we use instead for most things, but my mother in laws brand new RDX has had some minor electrical problems and they were just as professional and easy to work with as the sales staff.

Honestly very annoying of the $ 6,000 dls that I gave as a deposit when returning the car that I had taken without exceeding the mileage that one has to exceed in order to return it, for the reason that one has and my reason was because the bank had not finalized the loan and I got angry because how dared they let me take it, they got upset when I returned and vilely took $ 2,000 dollars from me, HABIB said that another person had said that they could not return everything to me, they wanted to keep $ 3000 but my husband he got very angry .. it wasnt fair ...
