Sports Ltd is the place where Im not supposed to go because I always spend too much time (and other things) there... its just such a great place to hang out and learn... a true gem for Redding and the GO-TO spot for all things outdoor. True depth of knowledge in each department, and I love the bike shop crew for keeping me and my friends with the wheels on the dirt.

Joe, Andy, John and the crew have been incredible for me and my family. They take care of our high-end mountain bikes and seem to always have what we need in stock, which is rare these days! They are definitely my go-to shop, even when Im not in town Ill wait until I can bring my bikes in to be taken care of by them.

I’m from out of state and I’ve been looking for a particular pair men’s Keen casual shoe. I’ve been searching far & wide for months for this particular style of Keen. I’m visiting family in Redding California and stopped by Redding Sports, Ltd. There selection of shoes were unbelievable a good selection of a number of brands and styles. I’m the type of buyer that looks until I find the shoe I like for looks, fit, style, price is important but not the most important. I found the Keen that I liked and purchased them.But, I want to say that the customer service is second to none. The genuine interest in me as a customer was evident from the moment I stepped in the front door. The way they greeted me with a smile and a real joy to serve me as a customer at that moment. I tried on several pairs of Keen shoes. The young lady stayed with me thru the entire process. She was so willing to go back to the stockroom a number of times to get another style, size for me. I’m sure I was in this store for a good 45 minutes before I purchased. They even provided the courtesy of taking my shoes to the front counter for me, so I could continue to browse this great store. I wish I could remember the young lady and gentleman that were so helpful during my fantastic shopping experience. But even the young lady that checked me out was so kind and helpful.This is a top drawer store that I wish I did not live out of state I would most definitely be seen in this store repeatedly. Our family rented bikes from the store for the day to bike around the Redding trails. The staff were very personable and helpful for adjusting the bicycles. They took time to make sure we had directions and were comfortable on the bikes. We will definitely come back!

Whoever does rentals needs an attitude check. She is ridiculously rude. She has no reason to talk to her customers the way she does. I will not be going back for rentals as long as she is in charge there because it is unacceptable.

They always have great service. We have had a couple hiccups with records, so just be sure you keep your paperwork for purchases/ repairs/ store credits. Outside of that, the staff will always try to help and they have a good selection of gear. The repair guys also provide great info on how take care of your gear.

Best clothes & gear in town! My husband always looks sharp! I ordered a pair of pants. When they came in I found out that the girls ordered me a “short” length just to try because they know me. Super service. Staff was personal and informative. Gave great trail directions. I rented a road bike that was top notch- a Specialized Roubaix for the week. This is a complete bike shop . Worth the trip at fair prices.

The sport equipment is good and has a high quality, but limited. The customer series could be better because often they didnt recognize me when I came in ( bike area) even when they had time.

Extremely friendly, patient, and accommodating staff at this store. I was visiting from out of town and rented gear to climb Mt Shasta. They made sure I got everything I needed, even added some gear to their rental fleet for me when they realized all their avalanche safety gear was already out.Rental prices are very reasonable as well!

This place is run by an incredibly kind and knowledgeable staff. The ski and bike shops are excellent. Climbing, backpacking, backcountry gear, clothing and shoes are all awesome. Locally owned, family operated business providing high quality goods and services.

On a spontaneous trip away from Humboldt, my partner and I decided to try and get some snowboard rentals. Redding Sports was the first place I called. They had great rates and we headed right over. Gary helped us get fitted for boards and boots and we purchased some snow pants and gloves on great clearance prices. The rest of the staff we spoke with were very helpful and efficient. We will definitely come back for future needs when in the area!

I think I have purchased something from every department at this point. Bikes, skis, clothes etc. What really stands out is the excellent customer service. The ski shop guys stayed late to make sure our stuff was ready to go the same day we bought it so we could use it all the next day. Nowhere else in Redding will you find a sports store that has this level of customer service and attention to detail. Ive been a customer here for 15 years and have no plans to stop. I would highly recommend Sports LTD.

I went to this store hoping to get some UGGs this was the only store in Redding, CA to have them. Since its not quite Fall yet and they were not out on display not only did they have someone take me to where they were stored the guy helping me and my 3 year old fine the perfect pair he was so kind. The bonus to all this was I got $50 off these boots. They were discounted. I will Definitely be shopping there again. Very nice staff and kid friendly which is a HUGE bonus for me!

Huge store, two stories, everything you need for climbing, camping, snow sports, cycling, and clothing for each.

Great shop. One of my favorite stores. They are extremely busy but they have great products so, for me, it is worth the wait. Their prices are a little high but if you are shopping on-line for cheaper prices, you are going to need to add shipping cost besides having to wait for it to be delivered. I shop there all the time and they are very helpful and I have never considered them to be rude.

These folks are very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. The store has a wide selection of outdoor products at reasonable prices. Highly recommend it.

I freakin love this place. The staff has been nothing but good to me, and they host good products. The bike shop is fantastic and they offer great service as well. Perhaps a bit expensive, but not all that much more than online...plus its supporting a more local business. Its still my favorite outdoor store in town.

We purchased a new bike over a year ago and upgraded another with new shifters and tires. Great value and knew what worked best for us. Went back in for the complimentary new bike adjust and Joe worked on the while I waited (not normal but he went the extra mile). Joe the bike tech is awesome! Knows his stuff about bikes. Took care of a warranty issue no questions asked. These guys rock!. Oh and the people in front of me were also treated with great service!

The best sporting goods store for camping and mountain biking in the area. Their staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Their bike shop is really great as well. I have had them work on my bike for years and have always been very happy.

What a great place to buy shoes! Im 60 years old and Not athletic due to health. I did not think they could/Would be very helpful to me. I need a shoe with a large toe area due to deformation caused by painful Rheumatoid Arthritis. I told the guy helping me that right away and he was so gentle with my feet. He (with help from my very athletic and knowledgeable daughter) brought a few pair of shoes that fit only that criteria. I ended up purchasing 2 pair of shoes there and I am so happy with the shoes! They are exactly what I need.(They are ALTRA brand)

Sport ltd the best for any sport. We went to buy a snowboard for my son ok prices. But one thing I didnt like was semi nude posters not appropriate for kids. Or for people who follows god. My kids and my husband didnt feel comfortable there. Thats the only bad thing. Other than that the staff were great.

What wonderful humans work here, they are kinda too sweet. Like come-on you show me to what Im looking, AND youre happy early in the morn alright youre pretty cool, I approve of that.

I love Sports Ltd, Ive only been here a couple of times, but each time I come in Ive walked out with a great deal on the item I was looking for. The staff has always greeted me the moment I walked thru the door, like today I was looking for a pair sneakers. I needed a pr. that had an extra soft insole with an good arch. After figuring out my size the youngman brought back about 6 to choose from. I left today and saved $80. Cant beat that.

I went in today to get a pair of polarized sunglasses for fishing. I was helped by Sandy and I gotta say that it was the best customer service I have experienced anywhere! She stepped up to the plate and truly went above and beyond her call of duty as a customer service representative. She boldly went where no salesperson has gone before, and spent over an hour with me, patiently waiting and answering every question I had about polarized lenses. She helped me pick out several pairs that I might like and took me outside to try them all on. She never once showed any signs of frustration or irritation no matter how many times I changed my mind or needed her to unlock a case or walk around the counter again. Finally, after over an hour of patiently handling my pickiness and indecisiveness like a champ, she helped pick out the pair for me. And, when they didnt have a pair of Maui Jims I wanted, she was on the computer and on the phone with their reps trying to figure out how to order me a custom pair with the exact frames and lenses I wanted. Sandy was very personable and friendly the entire time. We swapped stories and BSd while i was shopping, and she handled other customers when they were ready. She shared with me her opinion on which sunglasses were her favorite and what she recommended but she didnt try to push that brand on me. She never made me feel rushed to make my decision. This amazing human sets the standards on how to be a customer service representative. If customer service had their own version of the Emmys, Oscars, or Grammys they would be called the Sandys. Shes going places in life, and doing great things for her country on the way.

Kind of an outdoors sporting place. You got hiking gear, snowboarding equipment and the kind of sports we dont typically think of. A small Cabelas if you are familiar with it.

A bit pricey but great srlection

I was having major tire problems (4 flats in a 10 miles stretch) on a multi-day ride, and they set me up with the right tire/tubes which got me going. Over 200 miles later (including some horrid roads) and Ive had no flats or other problems.
