Got my oil changed and tires rotated today. Thomas changed my oil and Monique was the sales associate that rung me up. I received excellent customer service on both ends and my car drives a lot better. Ill be back for my next oil change.
I was helped and problem solved by a very helpful man named William who helped fix my tire and my nerves calmed immediately. I will recommend and return to the Liberty Road location from now on.

If I could give them a minus one star, I would! The customer service at this location is horrible. I had purchased tires there and one of my tired went flat. I made an appointment and went I got there, I was told they did not have my tire in the store and they could pick it up from Towson store and bring it the next morning. They said they would call me and let know to bring my car in. No one ever called and I decided I would take my business elsewhere. I will not be treated badly and give you my money. I will never go to Pep Boys again and I would not recommend them to anyone!

I came in last minute for brake pads and I was not rushed at all!! The employees treated me as if I was one of them and guided me correctly as to which brake pads I should buy. 10/10 service. Your employees restored my faith in humanity and good customer service in a time where I thought I was completely stuck!!!!
I come one day and am told $35 for an oil change. I am scheduled for the next day. When i come in, the price goes up to $91. I was told 30 min for an oil change but yet i had to wait a whole hour and a half before it could really get done. When i came in, i talked to marvin and was provided with bad customer service. Instead of trying to explain the wrong information i was told, he basically told me to take it or leave it. When waiting for over an hour for a simple oil change, i asked marvin how much longer may i have had to wait. He just looked at me in my face and kept walking. The disrespect i felt as a customer was unreal. It is a real shame. Was tempted to tell the guys to hurry up because i would NEVER be coming back here to EVER get ANYTHING done to my car. Disappointment of a place. You would be better going to jiffy lube or an independent owned garage to get anything done.

I have been to Pep Boys, at this location, several times. I am just getting around to writing a review. If I could give more than five stars I would.I am a full-time Rideshare driver and put many miles on my vehicle each week. Routine maintenance and upkeep of my vehicle is vital for my business.Customer service has been outstanding. Communication has been on point and I have been in and out in a timely manner.I highly recommend Pep Boys at this location.The one on Baltimore Pike not so much!
Pep boys definitely lost a customer. I went to get an oil change and left unhappy. if we as customers are going to pay our hard earned money for service, we should expect quality service right? THEY ARE CARELESS and i’m not fond of that. you can go at your own will but they won’t be seeing me anymore.

I came to Pep Boys in Randallstown, and the mechanics were extremely helpful!! I was told that to complete the job on my car would take 2 hours before being seen. However the mechanic saw that the issue would not take that long and he helped me in less than 10 minutes I was completely finished!! I dont usually write reviews but wanted to take the time to write this one because of the service that I received!! cant recall the young mans name (Kevin?) but thanks again!!.

I went there yesterday to have my headlight lightbulbs replaced, and to get an oil change. They were cheaper than their competitors and were able to get me right in.The customer service was really great, and the guys updated me throughout the process since there was a little wait. I didnt mind the wait at all since I needed this done at the last minute.So long as the customer service remains excellent, and they continue to provide quality service on my vehicle, I will keep coming back.
06/24/20 I had two tires blow on my car I was sitting beside me tires..I went inside and the man told me he couldnt help after I asked him several times cause he customers but I had a emergency...I drove my car across the street and the guy at pep boys told me if I had the tires for it he would .donut right then and now ...in about a he or so he told me. Come get your car ...but I was stranded so he sent me a lift to get me to pick it up ...found out by driving across the street I bent the time ... bought the other rim back to him and he straighten every thing out for me with front end alignment to...thank you for being there for me when I really needed itMr wills

Had a problem with my brakes, turned out that a different location in NJ had screwed up my recent pad change. This location fixed it up quickly at no cost and sorted things out with the NJ that had messed up my repair. Very polite professional and fast.
Would not recommend this location to anyone! Paid over 400$ for work a few weeks ago, car is still having trouble called to see when I could bring the car to have them re-check the work that was done and for an oil change, was told to bring the car anytime. Took the car around noon on a Saturday was told they could do an oil change but couldn’t check the car out because it was noon and there was only 1 guy working with 5 cars. I asked the guy at the front what time they closed he informed me 8pm but they still couldn’t look at the car until the next morning. Left my car went home haven’t heard from them so I called this was around 4:30pm. I was informed the car was unable to have oil changed but they “topped off with some oil” because of a drainage cap that wouldn’t come off (Reminder no one called to inform me, I had to call them, so I have no idea how long my car was sitting while they knew they couldn’t do the work) *Sunday morning * I dropped my car around 9:15am, I sat with my car until around 12:30pm but was getting tired (am 7months pregnant) Came Home called around 1:30pm asked the status of my car. Informed a visual inspection was done but nothing came from that was told the car was going to be test drove. Called around 4:20pm told the car still wasn’t test drove them tech had to put “paying customers” ahead of my car then they will test drive the car. As is I didn’t pay them over 400$, as if I didnt drop the car early in the morning, whether I drop my car in the morning or the afternoon I feel like they push my car to the side and I always pick my car up right before close with no work fixed or perform, a waste of a weekend! I feel like the staff are careless and rude, and the guy at the front desk likes to go back n Forth with customers. If it wasn’t for the fact that I already paid them for the work I would have never brought my vehicle back to them for service. I don’t like the staff’s smart attitude towards the customer. Will not be spending anymore money at this location. **Still waiting for my car, I guess my car will be last since I’m not a “paying customer.”
Poor management not answering phones not calling customers braking parts off of battery covers buying replacement devices not cover under a warranty didnt give clear reasons of failure of work done and not explaining other problems not helping with cost of towing having to come back to same shop within 48 hours and keeping said vehicle for four days poor results of cooperative service
I took my car to get serviced because I was hearing grinding. Paid about $600 STILL hearing grinding. NOW I have to take my car back in so they can fix whats really wrong. I should have continued to go to the one in CATONSVILLE! I think Im being preyed on because Im a female... hope not because it will make the news!!
The service was good. My customer service agent searched for coupons so I could receive additional savings. They also price matched other area merchants.The tech that installed my tires & serviced my vehicle took the time to show me other items that needed attention. This location was understaffed at the time but was in the process of hiring.
They tried, but they consistently didnt have, and couldnt get, the parts needed for them to fix my car. Which would be fine if I hadnt been told 4 times they could do the work.
Poor service...purchase hazard warranty for my 4 new tires. Tires kept losing air pressure...made an appointment, and waited 4 hours to repair 1 tire.Two weeks later, my indicator light came on again. ..the same occurred with my tire getting low air pressure. Decided to go to the Joppa location.
Went here to have a 20 inch tire plugged, they said the leak was in the sidewall, and that I needed a new tire, which they had in stock. I told them to mount and balance it. The tech was struggling with the custom rim, and another guy took over, and scratched the hell outta my beautiful rim! Deep scratches which occurred when the rim repeatedly jumped off the machine, which they had placed 4 red rags on to, I guess protect the rim. Lol good story short, go to a Rim shop if you have specialty 20+ inch rims. Ill deal with the manager about this tomorrow.
Went in for 1 tire to be replaced, and they couldnt balance it correctly and it was loosing air. Took it back in and after being told by management it would only take a short time to fix, I waited for 1 hr and after inquiring if it was finished yet the mechanic said, its been done for a while. The management is not proficient in supporting customers. The tire balance issue was not fixed by Pep Boys and I need to take it to a more capable tire station with knowledge of correctly balancing a tire. I will never visit this store again or any other Pep Boys!!
Made an appointment online for 7pm since I dont get off work until 6pm. When I got to the service department, I was told that all the techs get off work at 530pm and since the Service Manager went home early, she did not call me to reschedule. If the techs go home that early, then appointments that late should not be available online. And if the service manager went home early then one of the other techs should have called me. I wouldnt have made the appointment in the first place if I had known. Never giving any business here.
We received great service . John Licthfield, Service Manager, was very thorough in providing quality repair service. My granddaughter and I had her Nissan Versa muffler repaired and I am very satisfied with the work performed especially the reasonable cost. We only had to be patient for the new muffler to arrive from the part supplier. When the part arrived, the car was fixed the very same day without further delay. John was even honest and told us that the car DID NOT NEED FRONT STRUTS AND FRONT TIRES THAT SOME OTHER REPAIR SHOP RECOMMENDED TO US FEMALES. WE APPRECIATE JOHNS HONESTY AND INTEGRITY AT PEP BOYS!
The Pep Boys on Liberty Road in Randallstown is terrible. My wife and I will never return. My truck was towed there yesterday and I called this morning to check the status of my vehicle. Gentleman on the phone said that they will check out the problem with my truck because it wouldnt start. I went there to check on the status and found my truck in the same place it was towed to. They didnt even start on my truck. Nobody called me to let me know. I stood in the showroom for about 7 minutes and no one was there. Anyone could have stolen items. Im posting this to my Facebook page to let everyone know how bad the service is at this location
Let me start off saying I used to like this franchise because of positive experiences in Indianapolis. But that feeling is gone for Pep boys since I had my tires replaced about a year ago and ever since I have had trouble with low air pressure.I have to stop almost weekly to refill air. I have been to this pep boys on multiple occasions and they have never resolved the issue. I was there last week and they finally stated I had a nail in the tire and that the issue was resolved.Finally thinking I would be free of my tire issues I was driving to work today and again low tire pressure. Im at the store now again missing work meetings and losing time to be productive.My tires should have been replaced the many other occasions I came here. That would have been good customer service. What Ive been dealing with is the run around and wasted time. I would not come to this location if I had not had my tire work done here. In general Ive been turned off by pep boys and will not look to get work done here in the future.Friendly tip: make sure you have them document your visits no matter how minor it may seem. Because they will look at you as if your lying about coming on multiple occasions if they dont see it on the computer. Thats what Ive been made to feel about my issues.
I made an appointment at this store. I arrived and was told they didnt have my tires in stock. I had no problem with that but then they called the store in Catonsville to see if they had them in stock. They did so I was sent there only to arrive to be told no they couldnt do it. They also told me that this was communicated to the Randallstown store but yet they still sent me there knowing I was in a bind and needed tires that day. Mr. Tire in Catonsville was very accommodating offering to stay late to get the work done and gave me a great price.
I used to be a regular Pep Boys customer until 20 years ago when they started to refuse to honor their Pep Boys Warranties by saying their supplier would no longer honor it. I didn’t buy my products from their supplier, I bought them from Pep Boys & my warranty was with them. A later Civil Class Action Suit forced them to honor their warranties, but the damage was already done. I never have & never will buy anything from Pep Boys! Over the years I’ve purchased & maintained many cars & now have 9 cars in my collection. My 3 sons each have 3 or more cars that they maintain themselves, & will not purchase anything from Pep Boys. We buy parts from Advance Auto Parts & Auto Zone, & they are always courteous & we never have them refuse to honor their warranties. Be assured that Pep Boys lost a lot of loyal customers due to this type of treatment. It’s a shame that Advance & Auto Zone don’t have repair facilities.
1st time & never again...at this location. Words cant describe the experience and I work right next to these guys, LITERALLY!!! Made appointment on Tuesday for Thursday for 4 tire replacement that I bought via Amazon. I was told that Wednesday was not available. Dropped off vehicle 8:30am and walked over to see if vehicle was done, 3X. I called and walked over to the counter and asked what happened....I was told, I saw the mechanic pulled your vehicle in this morning and then pull out. Other than that, I cant tell you anymore. The mechanic stepped out and wont be back because he went to get parts. I was thinking to myself, Went to get parts for a vehicle and you are a parts store? Perhaps it was a factory part. If you are reading my review, What is the average and normal time to get a tire replacement? 1 hour-1.5 hours...2 hours Tops! Wait or NO Wait... This location had my vehicle for 7.5 hours!!! Also, if the vehicle was looked at~ in the morning, the wise decision is to call me to LMK what is wrong. Furthermore, I told the front desk in the morning to make sure all doors are locked because of expensive equipment was inside the vehicle ...GUESS WHAT? Doors were all left open with my BRAND NEW TIRES. This location is very very very BAD in terms of customer service. You walk in and Budget rental guy is right next to the door and cant make any sense of the organization. On the side note, the cashier was nice enough to say welcome to Pep Boyz as he slouched over the counter. Felt his pain due to no customer. My suggestion to the reader, once again, try taking your business to other tire shops... you have one across the street, Mr. Tire, AAAMCO (next to Pep Boyz), Precision Tune(2 doors down), and many more within walking distance. Lets hope all these franchises do a better job....As for me, I am going else where and staying clear of this general location for any car work. I had to go through all this for 4 lousy vehicle tires. Just a thought~ I should plan on opening my own shop and stealing all Pep Boyz customers.... I will make their head spin with my customer service skills.... STAY CLEAR because NO ONE DESERVES THIS!!!
Never go here they are long winded will miss diagnose you car. When they wreck your car they will try to charge you for their mistakes. I wouldnt even buy parts from there I went there to buy jumper cables an had a 10 minute argument with a worker over a one of their mistakes. You will regret every going to this place liberty rd is full of auto repair shops. Do yourself a favor an choose any other one besides pepboys on libery rd not for service or parts. I did decide to go ahead and replace the spark plugs from Meinke and it made quite a difference. And YES I DID drive to the PEP BOYS location in RANDALLSTOWN MARYLAND just to purchase from them and I had priced them at the advanced Auto which is less than 2 minutes from where I live they were a bit cheaper and their MANAGER CHRIS had the nastiest I dont want to be here disposition Ive ever seen in a business which greaterd my desire to drive to PEP BOYS RANDALLSTOWN and again ANOTHER GREAT EXPERIENCE!!! These employees are THE BEST from the manager to the rest!!! I like Manny Moe and Jack but I prefer the MAC (Mo-Aaron- Charles) get it? 😂😂😂. I was given the wrong brakes for my vehicle when I went back to exchange I was told they didn’t do exchanges or refunds. Even though the incompetent employee went in the back and brought out the wrong brake pads for my vehicle. It wasn’t until I got to my mechanic that I was told they were the wrong brakes. I visited the PepBoys at Glen Burnie to see if they could help(they couldn’t) and apparently I was the third customer complaining about the Liberty Rd. location. Never again will I visit this location. now I have to purchase another set of brake pads. Thanks PepBoys

This location saved my familys vacation. We were on our way to the Jersey shore when I noticed a violent shaking after stopping at a rest area. We pulled off the highway and determined that we had to have this looked at before we continued driving. After a brief Google search of nearby service shops, we felt that this location was our best bet for any possible service on a Saturday.After sharing our plight with the service staff; Cliff, Travis and Ron were able to get us in, repair the brakes, and get us back on the road to our destination. Not only did they complete the work, they were especially accommodating to my family. Keeping a 6 year old content after an already long ride is no easy feat. :)These gentlemen are a fine example of the of the tremendous service that is available at this location. If you are in the area and need service, do not hesitate.

He hung up the phone in the middle of a conversation during a conference call with representative from one of their contractors (Element Fleet), I mean who does that.Worst auto service experience i have ever had. I have come to this location 3 times. The first time I had a quality experience with getting my brakes and rotors changed which made come back for a new tire even though I knew I could find a better deal. I made an appt on the phone, but when I came in William told me that the tire serviceman wasnt in and to be careful when making online appt because the schedule isnt always updated. I told him I made the appt over the phone and he asked who I spoke to as if I wasnt being honest. Even with that I proceeded to make another appt for the following week. Now Im here at this location for the 3rd time for my scheduled appt. I called ahead to make sure that there was someone who could put the tire on. William picked up again and said the tire man wasnt here but since he made the appt he would put it on himself. I arrived at 330 for a 4pm appt and checked in. At 4:30 William walks past me heading out the door and only when he locks eyes with me does he say that he has to go to another location 25 min away because they dont have my size tire. I then tell him that I want my car and I will find another place to get this work done. He then says you car is already up with no tire so I the longer we stand here talking the longer itll take for me to finish this. So now Im literally stuck here with no way of getting my car back without William who was very disrespectful and unprofessional simply because he was upset that he made an appt when there was no help and didnt check inventory before taking off my car tire. Furthermore had I not called I would have been in the same predicament as last week as far as coming out here and not being serviced. Its very unfortunate that once a 4 star location has now become a 1 star because of disorganization and unprofessionalism. I hope this post helps improve customer service at this location. Thank you.

Took over 3 hours for an oil change despite making an appointment online and arriving early. Other people who did not have an appointment were inexplicably placed before me and because they were “short staffed” I couldn’t get my coolant flush as I had requested.
I had my front and back brakes done at this location... on the initial brake inspection the mechanic didnt note every problem . I had to bring my truck back the next day due to strange sounds, they reinspected my brakes, found the problem and fixed it with no hassle. They were very friendly and professional, from the Store Manager to the Sales Clerk. I would recommend this location to anybody

I had a squeling noise coming from my car,took it there they said (their favorite line my mechanic put hands on the actual part)it was my tensioner assembly $367 got it done, three days later same noise returns.Took it back they said(their favorite line my mechanic put hands on the actual part)its my clutch seal ring or something like that this time $450 got it done, two days later same noise returns.. Im done with the guessing game thats costing me money

Had a very bad experience went to get oil change was waiting for about 2 1/2 hrs before they even moved my car from parking space and gave mi know update or communication, had poor customer services, guys smoking cigarettes but cars not being touched, then on top of that they tested my tires and prior to the visits I was missing a bolt on both front tires and then I came back to them with recipt and told them Im missing my bolts and he was on the phone no welcome took his time n told me I need to get some bolts . I told him when I came to get oil change a day ago they were on there now there not. He was very rude and told me he would fix tm at 11 as if I had nothing to do . Dont go to store if getting anything done for your vehicle because I promise you after I recieve my bolts back on my tires I will never come back

They are unprofessional always no one at register you have to call hello hello .... they be outside smoking or standing at service register talking about football game all bunch of stuff ignore customers presence if you ask them questions barely answers you and walk away seems like you bothering them or interrupting their conversation I buy most of my stuff at this location I even convinced many friends to go there they usually buy from Auto zone, auto standard, etc..... who it may concern please hire a secret shoppers or come up there for your own experience Papa Auto was next to this location went out of business so now there are no competition in the area only unprofessionalism may decrease your revenue at this location by replacing entire team or have a strict rules customers service make us feel coming back to spend some money with otherwise this location risk to going out of business.
BEWARE!!! they told me i needed routers and brake pads and wanted to charge me almost $500 to fix it. I ended up taking it somewhere else and it turns out i didnt need routers. Pepboys tried to make me pay for something i didnt need.

Well where do I start, so I just start I had worked done at Pep Boys on April 5, 2014 for wheel bearings. Then the mechanic told me that I need my brakes readjusted because I told him I just had work done at my dealership Heritage Chevrolet in Owings Mills. Well I immediately went to Heritage Chevrolet to tell the service advisor what I was told at Pep Boys. The manager of Heritage Chevrolet called PepBoys took them almost an hour to answer the phone. Finally the manager of HC spoke to someone at PepBoys and we were both told that the mechanic gave me the wrong information about readjusting my new front breaks. I still felt something was wrong so on May 20, 2014, I told my car back to the dealership and this time the service advisor showed me where the mechanic from PepBoys put on a metal piece wrong that belong behind the wheel bearing and this time I took pictures. The same day I went back to PepBoys and saw the mechanic worked on my car. I explained to him and the service advisor that he put the metal piece on wrong near the wheel bearing. The look on the mechanics face was like oh ***. The service advisor told him to fix it. I told him to let me see first before he put the wheel back to where he fixed it. After he completed the work, he told me my car was done. I ask well do I get a receipt, he said no and plus I asked the service advisor they also told me no which means no record for myself that the work was corrected. So I drove off, still not feeling right about my car. I drove back again and told the mechanic there is a grinding noise coming from my front brakes. He got another mechanic to test drive my car and come to find out it was my rear brakes all along. Another headache for me, so I asked how much it would cost for me to get my rear brakes fix(oh I forget to tell you all I paid $545.00 for the wheel bearing at Pepboys). The service advisor told me it would cost me $275. I really felt like I was truly being rip off. So on Saturday, May 24, I received a called from David one of the managers at PepBoys and he was nice over the phone and told me that he could lower the price for brake work, I said ok. Through investigation I found out the first mechanic of PepBoys, Tyrell who worked on my car, is not a mechanic, he is an installer(unprofessional and not friendly). So at this point, I am furious. I told David I want a certified mechanic to work on my car. I arrived at PepBoys and asked the service advisor(unprofessional and young about 23 years old) for David, and he said David is not hear but we know about your situation. Now I had an appointment at 2:30p.m. and there was only one mechanic working. He was already working on 4 cars. Too make a long story short, I did not get my car fix. Pepboys need to have professional service advisors and more certified mechanics.
Dropped off my car for a new tire and rotation. Picked the car up and it barely made it off the lot. Misdiagnosed the problem as a bad starter and tried selling me a new one and charged me for this misdiagnosis. Cost me $600 to fix the connector they broke. Manager refused to call me back.
12 o clock appointment got here at 1130 and 2 hours later Im still waiting for the guys to finish the work they walked away in finished. I use to work for a tire shop and it dont take that long to install and balance 4 tires

Horrible customer service. I will never come back!!!! They dont know anything! They need to shut that store down!!!!!!!!! The cashiers speak to you any type of way and get mad when you correct them on their mistakes!
My car was towed to this location because it just stopped working near my job. It was hard to get any help. The customer service was horrible, slow, and u professional; and they told me I needed a battery so I let them install one. The next morning, my car died on the Hwy as I was taking my 2-yr-old to daycare and going to work. I WILL NEVER go there again.
