We decided to renovate our home and do a whole makeover. After changing paint, and cabinet color, the next step was to change the countertops. I stopped in to Stone Top and received excellent Customer Service from both Dan and Nora. Dan took the time to show me the variety of granite and quartz. After choosing my countertops, they were quick to get it ordered and installed. They were neat and careful. I am in love with my new kitchen and as a Realtor I will always refer STONE TOP. Spend your money where your business is appreciated. We went there on two different occasion and sent Nora text messages and pictures of the slabs we wanted quotes on but this company doesn’t return phone calls or text messages. They obviously doesn’t want our business.

Stone Top was selected to do both the countertops and back splash in my recently renovated kitchen. From selecting the stone, to the install and finishing touches the job was perfect. They were fast and prompt once we got the project moving and there were no delays. They even helped me select and source a custom sink for my project. We had a new kitchen counter installed in 2018. I have been overall happy with the counter. Not satisfied with the install process or follow up. The install team did not put the soap dispenser where I wanted and once hole was cut there was no fixing. Claimed it was because of faucet but they held it up there backwards. Not helpful and got the sense they didnt want me to ask questions. I emailed at beginning of April because counter has begun to pull away from wall much worse. This is something I pointed out to employee but he stated it would not be a problem. Well this counter is much heavier than last one and it has pulled away much more. I understand that covid has caused some delays but to not respond at all is not cool. Product itself is good but not good experience with the staff.

We highly recommend Stone Top Granite & Tile. We are very happy with the granite and tile backsplash that they did in our kitchen. Nora tried hard to start the job sooner than other granite companies that we quoted would have, so we didnt have to wait long after our cabinets were done to have a functional kitchen. The price was also more favorable that other granite companies that we quoted. Nora also made good recommendations and gave us good advice, and accommodated all our requests. The quality of the material and work was great. We were really impressed how the granite countertops fitted perfectly even in the tightest spots. The subway tile work was very well done. Everybody was very nice, on time, and took good care of our appliances and cabinets.

From our experience the product is good, pricing is fair but installation crew could be better and more professional. We had a laminate top removed and granite top installed. At the time of ordering the top I asked the salesperson what would be done or what trim would be used if the old top is thicker than the new top and there is a gap between the new top and the tile backsplash. I was assured this would not be a issue as the installers would shim up the new granite top flush and caulk the joint between the granite and tile. Well, when they came to install the new granite top they did not do that and an obvious gap existed. When I mentioned this to the installers they said we weren’t told to shim the top. I had to have a debate with them and advise that this is what I was told by the salesman. Finally they shimmed the top after the granite was set which was not easy but it turned out ok. I don’t think I would use these folks again though.

Nora just finished her third project for us last week, a master bath room tile and granite renovation. The project was quickly completed, and the installers do a great job of seeing how the layout will best suit the room. The pricing is very competitive and fair - compared to some of the tile companies we asked for quotes that wouldnt grace our doors for less that 20k, Stonetop leaves them in the dust. They also have a great tile and top selection at their store, and the sales staff (Levi) did a great job helping us with selections. Contrary to some previous reviews, Nora isnt at all as described by a couple of customers - she was patient, walked through the process thoroughly and made great suggestions. She visited the job site regularly and made sure the quality of work was up to our standards. Well be using them again for our last bathroom update in a few months, but I would recommend Stonetop over any of the bigger renovation companies any day of the week.

We had a horrible experience with Stone Top. Levi seemed great at the beginning and everyone seemed very on top of things and helpful... until the templating. We received an email *2 hours* in advance with a list of demands that needed to be in place for templating and the threat that if they werent all in order they would not template and charge us extra to come back. 40 minutes after the scheduled arrival time I heard someone walking in our garage and suddenly the OWNER of Stone Top walked into our kitchen - no knocking, she just walked straight into our house and slammed her materials on our island. She was obviously agitated and annoyed. We asked her a question about if something needed to be removed and she answered with a very annoyed and snarky Yes. I finally stopped and looked at her and said, Have I done something to offend you? Can we please just be kind to each other? She told us she had been sick and she didnt know what we wanted from her. I replied that I just wanted to use kind voices and not raise our voices. To this she picked up her materials and left saying they would not do the job for us and that she is the owner so dont bother calling the shop. Wow. I mean I understand having a bad day but I dont see much excuse for this. Now we are back at square one with our granite, though I cannot say Im complaining. I cant imagine working any further with them.

I first did business with Stone Top in 2006. I chose them for convenience since they were located in a shopping center right across the street from my neighborhood. During manufacturing, one of the holes for the faucets was cut for the wrong sink. When I pointed this out, Nora, who oversees installations took that piece back, and appeared the next day with a new piece of granite cut correctly. I was very impressed that they stood by their work. I regretted having to leave those counter tops behind when I moved shortly after that!Fast forward to 2009 in a different house. We were building a basement apartment, and again I chose a company just down the road. This OTHER COMPANY manufactured the bar incorrectly, and failed to seal the granite. When we reported that the granite had not been sealed, they asserted it had. They blamed the staining on us, then blamed it on the sealant manufacturer. That company came in to evaluate the problem, and promptly said the sealant was misapplied. To make a long story short, we were never able to resolve the problem even after writing to the BBB.Now, in 2014, it was time to replace the old laminate kitchen counters. I went over to a big home building store (just down the street, imagine that!) and looked at the samples there. We had worked with the woman in that department when we bought our cabinets, so I had her come out and give me a quote. When she came back with a price I almost fell off my chair. And that didnt even include the tile!My next step was to call Stone Top for a quote. I spoke to Dan, told him the color I had picked out, and then went over to their shop in Raleigh a few days later. He had samples ready for me to look at, and actually had many pieces of granite on site to choose from. His advice when I was choosing the actual slabs to use was extremely helpful. Then he helped me coordinate the tile color, patterns, and surface type with the color samples from my kitchen. Although this took me a long time, he was very patient with me, as I tried to get my head around the different things to look for in a tile back splash.Their price for the granite, tile and installation was about half that of the earlier quote.Nora came out a few days later to do a template. I cant say enough great things about her! She is very personable and down to earth. When there is an unexpected challenge, she figures out how to fix it. I have never seen her let anything get to her. She said to me many times, there is ALWAYS a way to fix something. You may not know what it is right at that moment, but if you give it a little thought, you will figure it out. She works very well with the subcontractors, who seem to respect her knowledge and like her upbeat personality. As she was measuring, she made a suggestion about a different shape for the center island, which had previously been just two cabinets with a laminate top. By extending the edge out 5 inches, and putting an angle on the corners, it finally looked like a kitchen island with room to work on. The granite was installed just a few days after I made all my decisions, and now I have a beautiful, transformed kitchen.You cant beat Stone Top for their service, professionalism, and PRICE!! (And dont waste your time doing what I did, going to the closest place.) Just go straight to Stone Top and youll be happy you did!!

First of all Cameron is a great guy and awesome to work with. We had new granite put in our old house and decided to use StoneTop again for our new home. Again Cameron was great, however the own Norah? is a nasty, rude, and did a horrible job with the install. She had to improvise and had to cut our quartz top several times and she did it in the house. The island also was cut for the faucet for some reason in the house. I found out later quartz dust is HIGHLY agitating, causes lungs to hurt, skin and eyes to burn and itch.On top of that her attitude just sucks. She came in the house not introducing herself as the owner and started yelling on why the faucet wasnt removed. She also complained about scheduling as I asked a week prior to see if we could move the install date and she got agitated and refused to change anything even when I asked if she could do another job first and move ours later in the day when she would not change dates for us.Found out week later when I was getting back splash done she didnt shim the counter-top which is completely unprofessional and it started bowing and I had to get under and shim myself as well as remove all drawers and wipe EVERYTHING down due to the quartz dust all in the cabinets which took me over 3 hours.Cameron is great, the owner is a horrible nasty person who does a horrible install job. Our first install was done by a hispanic gentleman who did a great job on the install and shimmed and came with everything cut correctly and all holes predrilled before install. Based on the owner I will not be a repeat customer. Cameron is great, if you can get them to promise the owner is not going to install your experience maybe much better than mine. However after dealing with the owner and how rude and unprofessional she was, I cannot give that lady my money moving forward, sorry Cameron, you should find someone else to work for as youre great to work with its just the owner.

Buyer beware. Price was competitive but service was not very good. Large piece of granite they installed on our kitchen island had stains under the sealer. It took 3 months to get it resolved. They came and took it away and left the top open for over 2 weeks. Eventually returned with a new piece. Communications, follow through, and customer service were poor. Make sure you check their work thoroughly before accepting the work and paying the second installment.

There is so much to consider when selecting a countertop for your forever kitchen. Cameron’s knowledge about the different product choices proved very helpful. We are pleased with our beautiful quartz countertop!

My experience with Stone Top was very positive. I purchased granite countertops, travertine backsplash tiles, and installation from them. I first tried to engage Home Depot and Lowes, but the customer service was abysmal. Then I decided to check out a local business so I stopped by Stone Top, which is five minutes from my home. Cameron was helpful and patient with me while I made my decision and provided good advice. He was also very responsive to questions and communicated in a timely manner. The work was scheduled in a very reasonable time frame - no long wait after I made my deposit. The installers arrived on time as scheduled. They were very careful about not damaging anything in my house while they worked. They left my house cleaner than it was when they arrived. I have to especially commend Pedro Hernandez, who installed the tile. His work was outstanding. Hes proficient at his craft, has an artistic sense, and is a true gentleman.

We chose Stone Top after interviewing 3 other companies. There prices were competitive compared to the others. Dan was the reason we acquired their services. After talking to other people about our project we could definitely tell he was very experienced in the installation department. He was no nonsense and told me exactly what I needed to be paying attention to in relation to the types of granite and heights of different backsplashes.Once we committed to Stone Top Cameron took over our project and secured dates and times for templating and installation. He updated us every step of the way. He was very patient and responded to all of my emails and phone calls in a timely manner.The installation of our countertops and tile backsplash went off without any hitch. The installers were very respectful and diligent.The reason I choose to rate this review as a 5 star is the way the owner handled a scheduling issue.
