Beautiful, Bohemian, Benevolent experience for those who love arts and crafts and coffee with conversations. Someone put in a lot of creativity and consideration for college crowds, would love to see more older intellectuals philosopher types too, I hope post pandemic possibility. Keep up the good place and sweet servers.
Stopping at Lucky Tree was such a lovely experience. My husband and I were driving to Florida and thankfully decided to veer off the interstate a couple minutes to go this creative, warm coffee and gift shop. He had the “Bullet” coffee and I had the “Honeysuckle” Latte with matcha and honey. Both were delicious! We also had the tomato basil bites which were so savory. I would definitely stop here again!
Lucky tree is arguably one of the unique coffee shops in Raleigh. The design inside is different in a very good way. It’s a great place to drink some good coffee and get some work done. The menu options are all good. Most importantly the staff are great and very respectful. Again, it’s a unique spot that you should try if you’re in the area.
Lets start with the positive, damn that oatmeal cream cookie is good everytime. I love Lucky Trees baked goods! Now on to the negative. Both lattes, yes I got two were not very good. The iced was unbalanced, the espresso was bitter and threw the whole drink off. Figured Id give an hot latte a try, unfortunately same issue. All I tasted was milk and small bitter notes of watery espresso. I unfortunately let spending over $10 with no coffee. Hopefully this was due to bad shots, dirty espresso machine or something simple such as that. Id love to come back and enjoy my next latte.
Ive been to a bunch of different coffee shops in Raleigh but I always end up back at Lucky Tree. This place screams LOCAL!. Their coffees, teas, and baked goods are always delicious. They have lots of vegan options and you could spend at least an hour just walking around looking at all the local art, jewelry and other products artists make! Great place, great staff, totally worth the trip.
Great little place that is both welcoming and charming. Great delicious treats, great coffee, great vibe
I really wanted to like this place. The first time I ordered was a few months ago and it just didn’t taste good at all. I decided to give it another try especially since the workspace is awesome. The staff is also so nice. But twice now my drink was straight sugar, it just was not drinkable and I guess that is just how they are made there Lattes are too expensive to not be able to enjoy them.
Good quality coffee, tasty vegan muffin with a number of vegan options. Nice little local spot. Impressed with the price and quality on my first time here.
Lucky tree is one of my three favorite coffee spots in Raleigh, and at this point I have ran out of new ones to try.Its recycled decor, fantastic home baked goods (mostly vegan, and Im not vegan), its great coffee, spacious interior, hosting local artists, and its live music (when available) offers a phenomenal little local coffee shop. This place is typically busy and its seating style is communal, so expect to be sitting with other people unless youre with a big group.I definitely would recommend stopping here and grabbing a coffee if you want a nice coffee and hipster relaxing experience.
Its a cute place. Love the atmosphere. However, their coffee was disappointing. Low on ice in drink, so you gotta wait 10 minutes for it to be even slightly cold. It would be a 5 star if their drinks are served cold at the spot. Especially since its so damn hot.
Our fav coffee shop in Raleigh. Cold brew is very strong and they use a fruity roast in everything. It’s good.
First time here and I’ll be back! Very cute spot. Chai tea latte was delicious, my friend got green tea with strawberries. 🤤 All the art for sale is so cool, and the plant hanger from coffee lids was too cool!
I cannot give a positive enough review of this wonderful place. The baked goods are amazing. Their ingredients are all listed and give so many gluten-free options. The staff is super friendly and I cant even tell you how amazing the decor and some of the local art displayed is.
I was looking for a quick coffee and a pastry to-go.The 2 staff behind the counter smiled and was welcoming. I bought 2 muffins because I couldn’t decide between the banana nut or the berry. $3/ea. Delicious.I asked for a large dark/bold hot coffee. Only medium roast was available, unless I wanted to add a shot. I declined the shot. Meh. Wasn’t even that good for medium roast. Maybe I should have taken the shot. The decor was eclectic. The atmosphere friendly, cozy.
Super cute space, has its own parking, and has really unique options (you have to try bullet coffee).
Wonderful seating! Extraordinary comfortable style. Strong and reliable Wifi access! They have a gift shop in the front that sells crystal jewelry along with other handmade items. They have cute and healthy cookies and treats that you can enjoy along with their wide selection of coffee and teas. They have board games and books scattered about the place, so it’s welcomed to invite friends here. Also, it’s a charming environment to study in.
I like Lucky Tree very much! I was given a bright and friendly greeted soon as I stepped across the threshold. I ordered a Chai Latte, hot with almond milk and it was spot on delicious! The ambience was a bit rustic but chic. It was quiet and not crowded. The hosts wore there masks the whole time and the guest,(including me) kept distance so we each could enjoy or treat. I really liked my visit and will be returning!
Love this place so much! This was the first place I went when I moved to Raleigh and it was love at first sight. Its my favorite place in town, my happy place :) Lots of vegan and gluten free bakery options, original and inventive beverage menu, amazing chill vibes, and staffed with great people. The art is so unique, and there is a variety of seating options to fit any taste/desired social experience.
Really nice place to catch a cup of coffee. Nice seating arrangements conducive to collaboration or just catching up. Comfort and throw pillows is the name of the game. Nice touch on the large format ice cubes in the iced coffee. Well done.
My favorite coffee shop in Raleigh! Tons of cool art also! Best gluten free and vegan treats in Raleigh hands down! Lauren helped me yesterday and was soooo sweet! I adore her! The oatmeal here is also the best I’ve ever had!!! Highly recommend this spot to all people!
This was hard to rate. I loved this coffee shop vibe. The bullet coffee was to die for BUT the girl tried to give me a coffee that Someone else took to the back with them. She said noone tried it but I just couldnt drink it. If you dont have your eyes on it how do you know for sure? The barista poured it in a different cup. I walked out to my car and couldnt bring myself to drink it. I took it back in and she replaced it although her and another girl whispered amongst themselves while makiing it. That being said.... when I got my coffee it was amazing! Just some training on food service recommended.
I had a lovely time at Lucky Tree! The coffee was very delightful, I tried the caramel latte. A unique feature here that I have never seen before was that instead of tons ice cubes made of water they only had a few that were made of coffee! Plus they shaped as big circles. That way it would not water down the drink. Another cool thing about lucky tree was that it had a little shop inside. The shop had handmade jewelry, prints, and other little quirky things. I also enjoyed the aesthetic of this place, it was very pleasant. Overall I would definitely recommend going here!
Such a dreamy, spacious coffee shop. I was visiting from NYC and needed a space to rest from site seeing. I ended up spending 3 hours in here reading my book, and enjoying their yummy hot drinks and freshly baked goods. There is so much space to get comfortable and stretch out. It’s beautiful as well. Definitely coming back!
Great as always, they had been busy and were out of my favorite muffins but Im glad they are getting busy. Their muffins are vegan and delicious, try them if they have them.
Cute artsy coffee shop. Wheat free baked goods. The honey latte was delightful. Didnt realize there was additional seating in the indoor mall area. Good to know for my next visit.
I find Lucky Tree a treat for the senses & imagination! The owners are very creative people into upcycling - from their counter made with discarded wood flooring pieces & a mosaic top to the chandelier covered with coffee filters (see if you can find it). They sell art & crafts by various local artists including paintings, cards, metal sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, wood pieces, toiletries and some packaged food items. They are also a coffee shop with teas & lemonade and baked goods that are unique & wheat-free. Some are also vegan-friendly. I like to take visitors there for an off-the-beaten-path experience. Great place for unique gifts.
We loved this is cozy welcoming place! The coffee was fantastic and the service was fast and efficient. Highly reccomend@
I absolutely adore this place! The atmosphere is quaint and creative. The art helps keep the brain churning. The prices are also fairly cheap considering how creative some of the drinks are. Would recommend the strawberry green tea and also the hippie latte!
Such a quaint and beautiful space! The artwork on the walls and the music contributed to a really nice ambience.
I ordered black lavender tea and it didnt even look or taste like tea. Extremely watered-down. Disappointing
A beautiful, artsy cafe with good signature lattes. The decor of this place almost makes up for my disappointment, almost. I had been looking forward to visiting this coffee place since a long time, after reading all the raving reviews. But it was extremely disturbing to learn that they still havent started using China cups for people actually sitting down and working there! Apart from generating so much trash that we just do not need, drinking such rich beverages out of plastic/paper cups just doesnt sit well with me.At the very least it shouldve been mentioned somewhere on the website or social handles, Id have gladly brought my own cup before the visit.I would love to visit again though and try many more of their other delights, taking my own cup the next time.
Great vibe. Awesome staff. Excellent coffee. Get the iced coffee because it comes with coffee ice cubes :-)
Local, kind staff, beautiful art, outdoor space, love itForget about starbucks
GF friendly with a great vibe. The breakfast biscuits were fresh and filling.
Best place in town for high-quality coffee and healthy baked goods. Their focus on locally sourced art and ingredients, house-made flavors and recipes, and love for community building, sets them apart from other good but lesser options.Highly recommend the bulletproof coffee w/ whole milk from the NC State Creamery, and the almond butter cookies and oatmeal cream pies made from scratch. Or, the gold tea latte. They also make their iced lattes w/ coffee ice cubes so your drink doesnt get watered down as the ice melts (great treat in the summer)!Worth the extra drive, if you want a real, local NC experience.
First time visit. Will go back again. Staff friendly and helpful.Neat place would recommend. 1
First impression of Lucky Tree was great! Barista was so sweet and gave me recommendations, all staff wearing masks (over nose and mouth!). Price was very reasonable, coffee tasted awesome - plus coffee ice cubes so it doesnt get watery and gross, love! So much local art, jewelry, you name it. Will definitely be returning.
First time I went. Was a really chill spot with some very original coffee and decorations. Wouldnt hurt to get some new chairs but I guess they add to the personality of this one of a kind coffee shop/art gallery. Well worth the visit.
Usually love my experience here... not this time. Granted, almost every-time I come a blonde girl who wears hats takes care of me. I could say more but ill leave it at that.
They literally only sell one type of bean. The coffee is absolutely abysmal. If you want to buy beans just go somewhere else. I have never had worse coffee. Go to cup a joe for beans down the street. I just now threw out the entire bag.
Very nice place. Will comeback soon!!
Love working remotely here and their bullet proof coffee is delicious
I loved it the minute I stepped in. It felt like I was going to a tea (coffee) party in Wonderland. All the chairs were different and the decor lacked a unified theme and it was perfect.I got a Bullet Coffee (coffee w/honey, Ceylon cinnamon, and grass fed butter). It was rich in flavor and very smooth. The staff were friendly and I even bought an item from the store portion which featured products from local artists. I will be visiting here every time Im in Raleigh.
Do NOT go here! They served me “fresh” muffins COVERED in mold and unfortunately I didn’t realize it until I ate some! Completely disgusting and unprofessional. They obviously should not pass any kind of sanitation rating
Really tasteful decor. Nice place to sit and work or chill with friends
Tasty pastries, nice vibe.. only complaint cappuccino tasted like water…
This lovely, artsy, friendly coffee shop is worthy of more than 5 stars! Such a welcoming atmosphere and the best savoury biscuits Ive had! A nice place to spend an afternoon shopping, chatting, and eating.
Nice eclectic coffee shop with a college atmosphere. Mask wearing wasn’t great amongst the clientele. I know you can take off the mask while you’re actively eating or drinking but I don’t think that counts when you’re sipping on a cup of coffee for hours or when you’ve finished your coffee an hour ago and are just working on your laptop.
Excellent coffee and tea with a great atmosphere
Cute hippie-esque coffee shop with lots of seating. Vanilla maple iced latte was “eh” but the Bullet was unique and delicious
Ive been coming in and out of this coffee shop for years. Its got amazing ppl running the store, ignore the comments that say they dont wear masks they always do. I always come for a green tea with strawberry or a lovely pastry that is all organic. 😊 Love the staff and the vibe around the store and so many folks display their art in the store and its so unique! They have amazing musicians that come in and jam on every second and fourth Mondays and bring a lot of good feels. Live on lucky tree, food is superb and the atmosphere is amazing!
I just found this little gem in Raleigh, North Carolina. The food is excellent and healthy. The employees are super helpful. And all the people inside really cool. On top of that the fixtures in the art is stunning. I will certainly make my way back here to hang out and work.
Nice quiet coffee shop with Quick Service in good coffee.
Great decor and ambience with delicious and nicely priced food and drink. Very hip, very clean. I highly recommend!
Lucky tree is a really good place to get a cup of coffee or a delicious pastry. This place makes sure that they care about each and every person that walks in. Ive never had a bad cup of coffee from Lucky Tree. The staff is always very friendly and smiling. Its also a great place to come and get some work done because it stays relatively quiet and is good for focus. I also really like how they have coffee ice cubes because it ensures that the coffee isnt watered down by ice (they have these coffee cubes until they run out).
I had the bullet coffee. It was very good. The young ladies were welcoming. I really like the interior decoration.
Unique coffee bar with some pastries. Also small gift shop. Very much college scene. Vegan options. And other health driven selections.
I love this place. it’s super cute and the food is nice. the staff is always so chill. i love the atmosphere and come here to study, write, or hang out. def recommend:)
I think most everyone has this right. Great, eclectic, local art and decorations. Wonderful service. Great food and coffee option. Very good wifi and a relaxing vibe. One of the best coffee shops Ive ever been to. Its a little hard to see from the road, but its in the strip mall at the light on Hillsborough. Highly recommend it.
Went in for the first time today for some studying and to grab a drink. Staff was super helpful and the drink was one of the best lattes ive ever had. The seating was spaced out which was very comforting due to COVID. I saw some reviews on here about staff not wearing masks and wanted to say I say all employees wearing masks at all times. Highly recommend this coffee shop.
One of my favorites! The atmosphere, the character, the coffee (I got Bullet coffee, and it was great) - everything was so cool. And the muffins (banana bread and berry ones) were absolutely delicious. This is truly a hidden gem to escape the busyness and get inspired.
We are almost a year into this pandemic. Numbers are higher than ever. And yet, this coffee shop still does not enforce their employees or customers wearing masks. Not only is this irresponsible to the customers and staff, it’s irresponsible to the community of which this business is a part.I came to leave this review, and I see that I’m not even nearly the first person to see this. I suppose you’re going to tell me this “isn’t a common occurrence” for your business?I will not be returning. And I will be spreading this information to everyone I know in the community.Irresponsible. Unethical. Absolutely not the way to love your neighbor.
This could be a nice place if the service was good. Just my first visit but after standing at the counter watching 1 barista making lattes and 2 others puttering around ignoring the order counter, after being ignored for 5 minutes, I decided to leave.
Great prices on baked goods, lots of space but busy at the time of our visit. Not a wealth of selection on creamers, flavors etc. Attached to a somewhat dead mall?
The coffee is good. The people are friendly. First time we went they got our order wrong and had to ask to get our pastry. Thats not even a big deal just somewhat annoying. The reason I am giving two stars is because none of the staff members are wearing a mask while making food or when taking orders both times we went. Once we saw we turned around and left. During pandemic this can be a real health hazard. The minor inconvenience of wearing a mask can to lead to killing someone. That is a business I cant support.Edit: Unfortunately, I wont be going back to lucky tree due to the owners response and complete inconsideration of protecting human life. I worked outside all summer wearing a mask outdoors undergoing physical labor and had no issues. To clarify some more, both times I came employees were not wearing mask the entire time I was there . This means not wearing a mask while they took my orders and made my drinks. Wearing a mask is not something they commonly do. Good luck with your business I pray that your actions have limited consequences on the lives of others.
Vegan & Vegetarian options(big score for us!), sweetener options also available. The coffee was pretty good. Love the atmosphere; a good place to read, study or just hang out. And yes, they have milk alternatives too 🤗.
The best coffee shop by Meredith College :)
Absolutely love this place! such a peaceful and uplifting vibe, coffee is organic and sourced from small farmers in Honduras, ginger mint is my favorite tea, highly recommend
They have good vegan breakfast foods and fresh orangeade, which I love. There is cool handmade crafts inside to purchase as well. Its a very hipster location with a cafe vibe
My favorite coffee shop!!
The best coffee shop in Raleigh
The vibe inside is great. Chill music and comfortable places to sit. We did not like our coffee drinks. My husband got an americano and it tasted like just hot water. He ended up exchanging it for a regular drip coffee which tasted fine but was obviously cheaper than the americano that wasn’t made right. I ordered a dirty chai latte and it tasted like just spiced milk. It’s as if their drinks are not made with the correct proportions. It would be one thing if it was one of the drinks but it was both. We probably won’t be back.
Great place. Offer some unique coffee drinks. Great staff. Will definitely go back.
LOVE this place! It reminds me of the times living in Northern California with the decor and uniqueness. You Californians out there will particularly love and appreciate this place. They have healthy food options. The coffee is great too!
