The staff were very friendly, the service was great, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The coffee also tasted really nice! Im a NC State student and get tired of being in the library for too many hours a day and found this to be a great spot for light reading.

Every coffee I had here was absolutely splendid. Mocha, Pour Over, Decaf, Americano, etc. I kept trying different orders and was surprised at their consistency. I can GUARENTEE that I will stop by anytime I am in the city. The owners/employees also make you feel very welcome.

The owner of this shop treats all of his customers with such warmth and kindness. I cant believe yesterday was my first time ever coming to Global Village--the coffee is rich, the baked goodies are scrumptious, and the environment is in every way inviting. I will definitely be returning!

Literally cant stop thinking about the coffee at this place. When I attended NC State I came here every Wednesday after class and I sadly havent been back in over a year because of covid and graduating. If you are a student or find yourself on Hillsborough often it is without a doubt the best coffee around.

Let me tell you a lil story - I am pulling out the panini to take pics for a review. It’s delicious. The ONLY suggestion I’d make is for it to have some sort of balsamic glaze / dressing. A few bites later, I find some balsamic glaze something. Great place, great coffee! Super nice employees, SUPER COVID SAFE, and wholesome!

Global Village Coffee is honestly a gem in Raleigh! I drink alot of coffee and have tried many places in the Triangle area, but the quality, taste, service and consistency of Global Village is unmatched.The same can be said of the food, although there are some that I like more than the others. You can never go wrong with the panini they serve here though!I have also tried the ground coffee they have on sale and its very good too!

A wonderful little coffee spot with a charming character and clean interior. Different types of seating options for various groups.The music is just the right mixture of tunes and the volume set just right.I got a Golden Milk Latte (a tumeric infused latte), a Caffe Saigon (a Vietnamese coffee), and a caprese sandwich.They pressed the sandwich heating it up and toasting the bread, a nice addition. All the food served is made by the kitchen staff and not brought in, in accordance to the friendly woman at the register whose name I was too rude to ask.Update: Went back again and the staff were just as wonderful as the last time. I ordered a Sunflower milk mocha, which was out of this world. Who would have thought you could make milk from sunflowers. Also interesting point, their chocolate is dairy free.

There is nothing that can be stated negatively about this establishment.After walking into a couple other coffee shops in the area, we decided on Global Village Organic Coffee and we could not have been happier. Once we walked in, we were treated with with love and made to feel like family. We ordered our drinks and the gentleman making the drinks made our drinks to perfection and with care. Our drinks were served in real glass ware and were absolutely perfect. My other half had a mocha shake that was sinfully delicious and better than any frappuccino at Starbucks or any other coffee shop. I had an iced Americano with a shot of Lavender and it was so delightful that i savored every bit of it. This is a must go to coffee shop to enjoy and savor a coffee beverage. Kudos to those working there as they took true pride in their business. Again, this is a must go to establishment. Do not go down the street or down the street and around the corner....you will be disappointed at those coffee shops. AT Global Village Organic Coffee, you will enjoy and be treated better than you would ever expect. And the prices are spot on perfect. Not overpriced and there is no nickel and diming you to have the perfect drink. Again, check this place out and find your new coffee home.

Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, and quick service

Stopped here for coffee and they definitely had a great variety. I went for their golden milk latte which was vegan. I absolutely loved the flavors of coconut n turmeric. Their mocha was good too. My only concern is with this place was that they lacked plug points near the window which made it difficult to work. Being so close to school Id expect them to have more plug points to cater to students and others who come here to work.

Absolutely wonderful little coffee house across the street from NCSU. Lots of options (hot and cold) for a nice strong brew. Extensive tea menu! The house-baked treats are always a win, too. Very friendly employees that are always fun to talk to and make great suggestions on those days you just dont know what to get. A weekly visit has become ritual for me, and Im cant recommend it enough!

Used to be a nice place, but theyve gone way overboard on the pandemic theater -- almost as much as Cup-a-Joe down the street. No cash, no condiments, most tables off limits, and the place smells like a hospital. (Apparently, they actually expect people to put their masks on in between sips.) Its a very unwelcoming environment, and I wont be going back.Also, the owner is a sarcastic jerk.👇

I appreciate how seriously Mike and his crew take coronavirus safety measures, while maintaining a pleasant atmosphere. Mask wearing required while walking about the shop and standing in line. Mask off ok when at the tables. Tables well spaced. Etc.Please ignore (and stay way more than six feet away from) the fool below who thinks all this is too much. And btw, it smells like coffee at Global Village. Very good coffee.

This place has great smoothies, coffee, and food. They always make everything really quickly, and theres some tables inside too. You can get bulk coffee beans too. Its a little dark inside but it just adds to the ambiance. Check out the specials too. And support local businesses rather than Starbucks!

This cafe has pleasant outdoor seating where you can sip a coffee and watch passerby to and from the nearby university. Their coffees often come with strange automatic add-ons, though. For instance, they always add cinnamon to cappuccinos, and they always add lots of sugar to cafe con leche. Its hard to know what you are going to get, and someone who only wants espresso and milk should probably ask clarifying questions with their order. Their coffee is also pricier than nearby Cup a Joe.

Im in here all the time and Im consistently impressed with the quality of my food/drinks, and friendliness of the staff. I get the tomato breakfast sandwich which is only $2.50, a delicious cheap breakfast. They get really busy in the morning but dont let that turn you off; its amazing how quickly they get everyone served! Keep up the great work yall.

Ive been coming here for years. The coffee is absolutely delicious and full of flavor. It may be more expensive than other shops but honestly the taste alone is worth it. The internet can be slow and sometimes its hard to find a place to sit, but its a fairly small space so thats to be expected with how popular it is. Their to-go cups are environmentally friendly, which is nice, and the owner is extremely friendly, and I love chatting with him every time I see him. The staff is also sweet and helpful. Honestly, I havent found another coffee place that I like just as much. Love, love this place.

An AMAZING cofee shop to study The Holy Book and hangout with friends.

If you love great coffee and nostalgia, then this is your spot. Global is an unassuming coffeehouse that understands that were suppose to drink coffee - not analyze it. This is a great place to have a great cup of coffee with a friend or just sit by yourself and take in the history of the room and people watch. Mike the owner is old school cool - a reminder of how the good life doesnt have to be loud and brash.

Out of the places Ive been to on Hillsborough, this place has the best iced coffee; its never underextracted, and its very cheap to boot. Their egg, cheese, and tomato sandwich is also really good and fresh. If this place was open for more hours on the weekend, it would definitely be my #1 coffee shop, but without that its only my #1 weekday coffee shop. Still bomb though

This is a fantastic place to have a nice coffee or tea and get some work done, or have a chat with friends! Their drinks are all tasty (as far as I know) and their staff is super friendly. The one downside is the fact that there arent too many outlets, so if you need one it may not be available.

As a student it was my go-to study spot, but even now that I’ve graduated I keep going back.They get busy at certain times but if you can nab a table, it’s an awesome place to study, chat, or hang out.Great selection of drinks even for a non-coffee drinker, incredible and friendly staff even during their rush periods, and a cool atmosphere overall.

Global village is the best coffee shop. The coffee is great, they bake delicious fresh pastries every morning, and the staff are friendly. The owner is also really nice; I had a cold one day and came in to get a pastry, and he gave me a tea bag to take home. I love everything about this place.

Their coffee is great, I enjoy the environment, and they always have good music playing. Its a nice place to grab a quick cup or sit and work. But I cannot stand how rude some of the staff are (definitely not all of them). If I walk in an hour before they close, there are two baristas in particular who always feel the need to say we close in an hour! with this ridiculous look and tone like Im inconveniencing them somehow by ordering a coffee at three oclock in the afternoon.Advice to management: let your staff know its okay if customers are still inside the restaurant an hour before closing time -- and if for some reason they dont finish their coffee before its time to lock the doors, you can give them a to-go cup and send them on their way.

Wow, so so good! So far Ive tried the matcha latte and the regular caffeine latte. Both were absolutely amazing! Also, so happy they dont charge extra for non-dairy milk! My only complaint would be there is oftentimes not enough seating during peak hours, so just be conscious of what time you go.

This is the absolute best tasting coffee in Raleigh. The only downside to this place is there arent enough plug ins, so come with a fully charged laptop if you plan on staying, and you often will struggle to find a seat through the week.

Usually good experience... this has Organic in the name of the coffee shop, and the girl at front was like organic doesnt really matter... i was like it was far and hard for me to park to get organic tea at this store. wth? do people not think at all before speaking? with really no exception, all of my other previous experiences for last several years have been good here.=)

Global Village serves top-quality espresso, coffee and tea. I can not speak for their food because I am allergic to practically everything they serve, I can say it looks delicious. I enjoy coming here for a green jade tea. Before I quit coffee I loved their espresso shots and lattes. Service is quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Highly recommended. When I came into global village today I was greeted with great enthusiasm from Jeremiah and Nicole. Their chemistry together was contagious and made me feel very welcome. The Mexican spice mocha was equally as amazing. Thanks you guys!!!

This is the first time Ive ever left a review on Google, but this place deserves it! They have their customer service DOWN. I came in for the first time looking for Thai tea (they didnt have it, but said they would experiment with possibly adding it to their menu, which is super cool), and while my girlfriend and I were having a nice discussion with the cashier about nothing related to coffee - the guy behind me in line was picked up by another cashier that had noticed he was waiting. The prices were good, the coffee great (although Im not an expert on this stuff) it looked nice inside, and they even had a bunch of board games like chess (my favorite) checkers and some others. They are organic and try to buy local, which is surprising considering their prices. To top it all off, they gave my girlfriend and I their leftover muffins and cookies! Highly recommend.

This place is so awesome its insane. Not only is the quality of their coffee ahhhhmazing (organic, shade grown and fair trade), but Mike, the owner, is such a pleasure. Hes just a joy to be around and the shop is very comfortable and inviting. Im one of those coffee snobs, Ive taken coffee brewing/roasting/all the things classes and I can honestly say this is some of the best coffee around. Its also much more affordable that some of the other local places like 42nd or Sir Walter etc. Check it out, youll love it.

Apparently they were the first to enter deuce organic coffee in the triangle area. What I know is the coffee is outstanding and the cream is organic and the pastries are made fresh every day.they been in business over 15 years theyre right across from state the one thing to note is parking can be a little bit of a challenge on Hillsborough Street.

Im a coffee snob. I have decent equipment at home. Ive bought / ordered espresso from all the local joints, all the high-end mail orders, everything. Unless you roast your own, to perfection and to your own delight, Global Village espresso is hands-down the best.Always nice staff, nice owner (who is, quite expectedly, a coffee enthusiast and artisan), cool location, cool design.Ive been going there for 10 years now... will go longer!If your biggest concern in a cafe is power outlets, consider the possibility youre missing the point. Perhaps Starbucks is more your speed (mirthful, ironic laugh).

Coffees good, environment is clean but has warm character, and of the 5 staff I see there on a regular basis, all are quite kind. Theyve remembered what type of drink I get, gave me a free drink and remade it when they mixed up a flavor without me asking, and carry on conversation better than simple pleasantries. Visited Global Village on an 8th grade field trip to NC State with my daughter and it was so worth it! Wonderful coffee! Loved that it’s Organic and the homemade cashew milk they use makes amazing drinks!! I’ll be back for sure!!

The best coffee in the Triangle. Great decor, very down to earth staff, and really interesting flavor combinations make this a really great dive. I recommend the Hot Hot Mocha, which is flavored with what I believe is a bit of Chipotle. All of my love.

The place is very nice, it has good coffee options and you can tell the beans are from Latin America.It hasnt been easy for me to find good coffee as a Colombian, but this place definitely kept up to my expectations.

The coffee here has NEVER let me down. The pastries and food are also fantastic since theyre all made in-house. But, my qualm about this coffee shop is its lack of friendly baristas. Ive visited Global Village several time within the last week or so and Ive received the same lack-luster customer service. For me, part of the coffee shop experience is the friendliness of the baristas behind the counter since thats what makes you feel welcome and at home. Ill come back for the coffee, but not necessarily for the substandard service.

This is the worst place you could ever go. They might have good coffee and breakfast food but the way they go about their interaction with the customers is PATHETIC!! I came in just like 3 other people and sat at a table without getting anything. Myself and those other 3 people did not go up to purchase anything but instead of addressing all 4 of us, they ONLY came up to me. Not 1 employee but 2 and they were the RUDEST and most NASTIEST women I have ever meet. I get that I am taking a seat and I did not purchase anything, but the concept is how they treated me. I would have loved to get something and follow their rules, but what blew my mind is how they went about telling me. I mean WHO are YOU to treat me like this? They were aggressive and distasteful. I will not be attending this coffee shop ever again!
