Overpriced! I went in only because I had a gift certificate and ordered a sausage croissant which came to $3.35 with 2 small pieces of sausage. I could have went somewhere else and gotten one for much cheaper. Will not be going here once this certificate is used up. I miss the Chick-Fil-A!

This is my favorite coffee spot downtown. The guys that work here are super friendly! They serve food quickly and the coffee is great. Ive never been disappointed and I go here at least 3x a week. Much better than the Starbucks across the street.

Ive been here numerous times and sometimes the food is amazing and other times its disappointing. The lack of consistency is the basis for this review. I purchased the Tims sandwich today and below is what I received: two pieces of thinly sliced turkey. Two slices! On a sandwich that costs over $7! I could go to the grocery store and buy a pound of thinly sliced turkey for the same price. This was a sad ending for an otherwise delicious lunch. Please Crema staff, be consistent with your sandwiches if you want to build a loyal client base. You are one more disappointing sandwich away from losing another customer.

Now I remember why I stopped going here. Dude with the glasses that runs the kitchen is rude AF! Very temperamental! Came a week or so ago and really almost canceled my entire order. You’d think in the midst of everything going on you’d experience more kindness.

There are few places downtown that induce composure in 2020. Crema Cafe is one of them: a no-frills luncheonette hidden in plain sight amid the shuttered storefronts of City Plaza.I order the cold cut special on a toasted baguette, eat it with both hands on a nearby bench in front of the plaza fountains that no longer work. The name is probably the fanciest thing about the place. The menu is a modest collection of blue collar lunch fare, from roast beef to reubens. Self-serve coffee in Dixie cups. Homemade chilli. And that’s what I loved most: they had all the essentials, as unassuming as a grade school canteen or warship galley in cosmopolitan surrounds. The simplicity of my brown bag feast helped tune out the droning of power drills that told me more plywood is going up. A storm is coming. Before duels, the legendary swordsman Musashi wrote poems to settle his spirit in preparation for battle.I sat for a while longer with my late-afternoon coffee, poised to welcome the change of pace on a day when everything else felt up in the air.-Art the RoninRaleigh is for Ronin:A blog of everyday adventures downtownIG: @raleighisforroninWeb: RaleighisforRonin.com

My absolute favorite lunch spot in downtown Raleigh. Never had a sandwich here I didnt like. I love the staff. Cucumber salad as a side is not on the menu, but my favorite thing to get! Also, their ice cream/milkshakes are PHENOMENAL and severely underrated.

Crema is starting to become my go-to place in downtown Raleigh. You cant beat the quality of the food for the price. They offer breakfast, lunch, coffee and even ice cream. The staff is very welcoming and makes an effort to learn your name. So long Starbucks, you werent that great anyway...

Been coming here for years, wouldnt change a thing about it. Youre probably going to see some reviews that say things like staff is rude or food is overpriced. Usually the guy manning the register is a short guy who regularly busts peoples chops. Its not out of bitterness or resentment, hes just a dude who goes to a lot of punk shows and doesnt mince words when he doesnt need to. Also, the food is a bit pricey, yes, but its also smack-dab in the middle of downtown. Thats just how it is. If you want a cheap sandwich from a chain, there are other places to get that. The food is amazing (particularly the roast beef melt and the egg salad sandwich) and their menu is incredibly varied. Perfect spot for lunch, coffee, or something sweet. Dont get your feelings hurt if the staff arent grinning automatons like theyre Applebees workers.

Called in and asked for a box of coffee for a small group and was asked when I needed it. I said as soon as possible for them. The guy who answered the phone just laughed at me for 5 seconds then said “like 30 minutes”. I went to Starbucks across the street and they got it done in 10 minutes. It was laughably bad service.

The women running the register regularly rolls her eyes and cops an attitude with people. God forbid you order more than one thing. If you do the staff will roll their eyes and act like theyre annoyed that you chose to bring a decent amount of business to them. I will not be going back to this place. Note to the staff and owner....Treat your customers with respect and appreciation not like youre inconvenienced because someone actually showed up to buy something.FIND ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone is rude here. Have been dozens of times and each time the cashier is rude. This morning was the last straw. A worker in the back - brown haired tall male with glasses - told my pregnant coworker and I to move in a very rude way. We were shocked. We were not standing in anyones way and the space is extremely cramped. There is no where to stand without being in the way. Extremely rude and unfriendly service. Smells like dirty bathroom and rotten milk. Drinks are subpar. Service is terrible. And the sandwiches are just gross now. Dont waste your time.Original Review:Really great affordable ice cream, breakfast and coffee in the middle of downtown.
