The red square is huge, it is surrounded by beautiful buildings and churches. It is definitely one of the most beautiful squares in the world. A most visit when in Moscow! It is recommended to visit early so it is a bit less crowded.History and stunning architecture interfere here - the iconic Kremlin walls, the Lenin mausoleum, the fascinating St. Basil Cathedral, the high end GUM mall, History museum,...all of them are here.Day or night, its always packed with people and activity here, really a must do.
Finally got to go inside as in 2019 I couldnt due to some giant festival. Got there about 19:30 and felt like 11pm.. This night it was expected to snow a little as the temperature was to get below 0 c. It was a little rainy but I managed to take photos with my canon dslr and tripod along with cell phone and umbrella. Just hoping that the drizzle will change to lite snow but didnt until next night. The lights from the GUM mall added to the scenery.
Red square is definitely a must visit place and it’s the most amazing and beautiful place in Russia. It’s a very big street where you’ll find many different restaurants and many Russian shops also. The shops are really expensive as compared to other local markets because it’s in main city. But you can enjoy walking in red square. I think night time is the best time to visit there because views are just beautiful at night and weather is also good at night.
Breathtaking place, amazing view, with an extraordinary mall and shops. 😍😍😍👍👍👍👍
I was extremely excited to see very nice buildings like a Kreml and especially a cathedral of Vasily Blazhensky 🥰
AmazingIts was third time. Its always really nice
Very pleasent place. Tourist attractions in Moscow. Great place for hang out and pictures clicking.
Must visit place in Russia. St Basilica, Masolueum, Gum store, Historical museum is located here. See it once in day and at night. There is a free toilet on right side in the Masoleum side.
Red square is the heart of moscow. A place where you can enjoy and spend the whole day. Too cold 🥶 Freezing
This is unmissable, full of history and very well maintained site.
Centuries old historic place in the largest city in Europe.Preserved in its best form. Social distancing maintained after the covid 19 pandemic.
Loved this place and the vibe is amazing. Be it morning or evening this square of Moscow always feel incredible.
So beautiful ❤️🥰
Red square is the most known area of Russia. Red in its name means beautiful and has nothing to do with the red walls of Kremlin or red bricks of the Saint Basile cathedral. Even though the USSR is collapsed 30 years ago, you still have a chance to see the Lenin mausoleum (especially if you like to wait in massive queues).
Fantastic and adorable place, the most beautiful place in Moscow, you cant get tired walking all the day and taking amazing photos.
Probably one of the most beautiful places on this planet. Recommended to visit both day and night
So many great places to take photographs here. However if you want a photo with less people in the background youll have to come early in the morning.Being located in the heart of central Moscow there is a plethora of shops and restaurants nearby so you can make a great day trip out of it. Not to mention the luxury tax free mall that runs parallel to the square.
It isnt Red. Saw Lennon. Cool history.
Great place to visit in Moscow
Love this square.. full of ppl and energy . Must to visit 😊
Friendly and warm atmosphere. Feel of security, with a lot of uniformed officers around. A bit slippery but worth a visit since not so much people around.
Red square is the heart of moscow. A place where you can enjoy and spend the whole day. Before entering the red square you have choices of restaurants like Macdonalds and KFC.The oldest mall “GUM” is located inside the red square which offers a variety of shopping choices as well as food.Just next to the mall there is Nikolskaya street which is full of restaurants and souvenirs shops.
We visited red square in the evening time. There was snowing. Still it was great.Awesome view.We took lot of photos videos. If you want good photos visit there in the noon.Near to Basils cathedral theres mall, dont forget to visit there. And try to have ice-cream there. Ice cream tastes better there. You can see part of Kremlin from red square.Good luck.
Beautiful place to visit
Was good, but since these guys were dismantling the setup after military band show, a big area was not accessible for good photography, however managed to click some good ones!Dont forget to try Maccihato at BOSCO, right there in front of Cremlin.
Beautiful place at any time of the year.
Masterpiece. Only in Moscow you can see that kind of architecture
It is a must.Great please to hang out
Beautiful place.....
Every body knows this place. If you are in Moscow you should visit the Red Square.
Beautiful in any weather!
The heart of Russia. Definitely must-see place.
Red square is one of the most famous site for official and demonstrations for russian culture and tourist destinations. It’s a big open area with many streets where you’ll find many different restaurants and many Russian shops also. The shops are really expensive as compared to other local markets because it’s in center of moscow. At night time the view is more enchanting and magnificent. One must not miss this place on his trip.
Red Square, Gum, Basilus, Lenin Mausoleum, Nikolaus, you name it... so much to see in the heart of Moskau. I loved it... afterwards the Bolschoi Theater and some yummy FusionFood! From Russia with love! :-)
Red Square (Russian: Кра́сная пло́щадь, tr. Krásnaya plóshchaď, IPA: [ˈkrasnəjə ˈploɕːətʲ]) is a city square in Moscow, Russia. It separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and now the official residence of the president of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitai-gorod. Red Square is often considered to be the central square of Moscow since the citys major streets, which connect to Russias major highways, originate in the square. In Moscow, the name Red Square originally described the small area between St. Basils Cathedral, the Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin, and the Lobnoye Mesto heralds platform. Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich officially extended the name to encompass the entire square, which had previously been called Pozhar, or burnt-out place, reflecting that previous buildings occupying the site had burned downThe Kremlin and Red Square were together recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1990, due to their inextricable links to Russian history since the 13th century.
This place is beautiful and amazing. I spent hours here just wandering here and there because I loved the buildings. There is an ancient citadel from a merchant quarter. There are pictures of the cathedral, Kremlin and some other buildings. Dont they look great? Must visit if you are in Moscow.
Very nice place
A must where coming to Moscow. A lot of iconic sights around !
Thrilled by the Architecture.
A must see in Moscow, the surroundings are beautiful bur usually there are many people.
This place looks magical! It was probably least crowded when I went there and perhaps thats the reason I liked this place a little more. You can spend a lot of time (or days) in Red Square and the nearby places and you wont get tired of the freshness and the beauty of this place.
You can’t review this place. You just need to see it 😊♥️
It is a lovely place
The vibe is really great here
Extraordinary, huge and a place you can keep coming back to!
Impresive, but not only Red Square, all around Kremlin.Worth visiting
What an excellent clean place
A red square fantastic
Great historical place with huge past and amazing present life of thousand and thousand people
Awesome. Pure History and u can feel it.
Too crowded now. So many shops and 60% area is almost closed. So you can not have proper feel of Red square. But place is good and clean. Without going to Red square, Russian trip will not be called as a trip. So be there and have fun
Must visit!! Trademark of Russia and Moscow
This place is beautiful. It is very clean. The people are kind and friendly.
This is place of Russias historical power. A place of attraction for the people of Russia and tourist. The visiting card of country. You stand on stone paving stones, look at beautiful buildings and plunger into the atmosphere of the distant past.
Amazing place at night, you will have alot of things around. Their ice cream is something you dont want to miss out 😍😍.If youre a person who likes shopping I truly recommend:Dont buy brands because its really more expensive than UAE, Hermes is the only brand that sells lower than UAE plus you can get back your 12% tax. Make sure your airport has the tax office.Try to ask about shortcut routes to this place, at night the police closes roads.Check the weather aswell please
Very nice place
Warm heart of my hometown. Red square is my favorite place in the city. And word “red” means “beautiful”. Every week I visit it - it’s my tradition. I advice to visit it during early morning (5 am - 10 am) and deep evening (9 pm - 1 am). Only at this time you can feel the magic of Red Square and the breath of history. It’s very powerful and magnificent place so enjoy every moment here. Red walls of Kremlin, elegant St. Basil Cathedral, monumental mausoleum of V.Lenin, luxurious GUM shopping and cultural center and of course grey paving stones of Red Square - all is here. P.S. it’s especially beautiful during winter “New Year” festival.
Fantastic place. One of them must see places in the world. Can spend between 2 to 6 hours there. Night lighting is as pretty as the day.
Magnificent place .
Most fantastic place in russia
One of the most beautiful places in Europe
Red square is a piece of history. Whether or not you like Russia, their government or the communism, if you go there you will instantly feel the prowess of a mighty nation that has changed the course of world history and maintained a balance in global power. The complex is very aristocratic and jolly. The cathedral, Kremlin itself, the bell, Lenins mausoleum or the GUM, its a very majestic piece of architecture.
Wonderful place, atmosphere is so good here, Gum mall is near, st basil is visible, Kremlin also here, everything in single frame, what else you need
The most powerful place in the world!
Great & awesome
Neat and tidy must visit tourist attraction while in Moscow. Very well maintained and amazing buildings in the vicinity.
Beautiful with the St. Basil Cathedral, GUM galleries, Kremlin and the museum around it. One can spend half a day or even one full day at leisure if time permits.
Excellent as always
A great historical place, looks as impressive in real as in movies. From here you can take a long walk and lose yourself in the streets of Moscow. Nearby there are many museums. You can also book some tours here. When we were there, Red Square served as the starting point for most of our excursions.
Every human being needs to visit the Red Square of Moscow once in a lifetime. It is magical. Dont forget to get inside the historic shopping center the department store GUM located here. A magic place as well!
I made some amazing memories here. Red Square is an unquestionable must see in the city of Moscow. If you are ever planning on visiting, I would reccomend going during December. The whole spot seemed to be directly out of a fantasy and was wonderfully decorated by the lights.
One stop for all tourists to Moscow
Russias most powerful block, the red square has that unique feeling that you are in Russia, no doubt about it!Everywhere you look are those great images you may have seen on the tv since a little boy.A must visit, just crossed the bucket list
Capital of the new world.
Its beautiful to visit Red Square before the New Year celebration.
Such a great place. A must visit area if you are in Moscow
Iconic place in Moscow to visit
Its an amazing plaza or Square. Its a historic square Circled with many beautiful and colourful architectures. The Basil cathedral is the jewel of the crown 👑 i enjoyed walking around the street a lot. The lenin museum is also there and one can visit that very easily.
Awesome place to make a visit once in a lifetime
Just a Red Square, main countrys square
The photos speak for themselves. The Kremlin is a stunning jumble of iconic pre-Soviet era churches and government buildings that is marvelous to view even from the outside. You can walk completely around the Kremlin in an hour and it’s well worth the walk.
Red Square is a must if youre in Moscow... But you know that already. It obviously gets very busy do be prepared. Also be sure to check opening hours of your desired attractions as they do change in different seasons.Beautiful photographic opportunities, so much to see and do much to soak in.You were going to go there anyway Im sure... And so you should.
Great and memorable place to be!
The best square on the planet, just as Moscow is the best city on it: the third Rome, and the fourth one will never be created.
Beautiful and cleanI loved be there 😍😍
Absolutely awesome! Exactly as I imagined it, although Id have guessed St. Basils would be larger. This is definitely a bucket list place! Very clean despite the massive crowds. Definitely check out one of the most historic places on earth, Red Square!
Red Square and Kremlin are the heart of Moscow. Great impressions, great country
