I was in the market for a 1 oz platinum bar and these guys really came thru. Initially it wasnt in stock, but Dennis made the effort to call me back when it did come in. Picked up an Engelhard 1 oz platinum bar with an eagle imprint and I couldnt be happier. Instead of paying cash I was able to trade in a few gold coins which really worked out nice for me. Overall I had a great experience and will definitely do more business here in the future.

Brought in gold coins to have evaluated. Dennis was not in this day, so his employee helped. He said the coins were not gold that they were in fact fake. I didnt want fake coins so we sold them to Center Street Gold & Silver for 50 cents. THEY WERE NEVER PROPERLY TESTED!!!!The following Monday, I went in to pick up some silver bars, and i noticed all of my coins in his gold display. I asked about the coins, and they then were confirmed to be gold. I told them about my experience and they told me that they could not confirm that those were the coins I had sold. I have extensive photos and they were not interested in furthering the discussion. I left and we will not be back.Shady business practice left me wondering who else has had this experience (and may not even know it) and it is embarrassing to know that someone youve trusted for years has not only lied to you, but also ripped you off.

This a very legit business. Their website is VERY transparent and tells you exactly what the buy and sell price is. If you are new to the store it has a great video about them to watch. It is a secure location and the owners are very professional and transparent when discussing the prices with you. I would highly recommend this business.

Excellent prices. Without a doubt, for a little coin shop, they offer extremely competitive prices for their silver. Ex: It was our first time entering the store and didnt know what to expect and I personally needed up leaving with 18 silver half-dollars for 13.2 times the dollar, per dollar. Buyer beware!! Went in to purchase two 1 ounce Canadian maple leafs. Discovered later one of the coins was actually a 1/2 ounce maple leaf. They look very close and I was easily fooled. Came back with receipt showing being charged for 2 ounces and they would not honor. Had the feeling this was a regular scam. Good luck and inspect your purchases closely.

Usually have variety in what they carry so you are not just buying the same rounds and bars from the same minter over and over. Prices are the best Ive found in Portland and as close to spot as you would think is fair. Never had a problem over anything and always felt my business was valued. Few times I ended 30 cents or so short on what I brought in cash and they just rounded it down for me. Very fair, good selection, helpful staff and if they are out of something they usually have more back in a day or two. I dont know how anyone could not enjoy doing business with them

I find it really odd that this page has been getting flooded with 5 star reviews in such a short time. I cant find any reviews that are more than a year old yet there are 45 reviews. When i compare to other like shops i get a different picture. No other shops are being reviewed at this rate. Lets compare...Ajpm downtown is theparent company of center street, they have only 38 google reviews and 5 on yelp. It took them 8 years to accumulate 38 reviews. Center street surpassed them in. Only 1 year. Other ajpm franchises only have 3 reviews (broadway) and 4 reviews (ajpme). Something dont smell right here. Why wasnt center st receiving such praise when it was ajpm2? This business did not just open a year ago. Ajpm2 has no reviews and a search for them leads me to this page of all 5 star recently posted reviews. Letscompare some more. Coin cottage, only 20 reviews spanning 8 years. Columbia coin...same thing took 8 years to accumulate 19 reviews. Harrys coin 20 reviews in 1st year in buisness (fake). Alder goldbeen around a loooong time clockin in at 9 total reviews. Gold and silver supply took 5 years to get 4 reviews. Portland precious metals only 23 over past 3 years. Shoot, center st got more reviews in 1 year than all 3 liberty coin locations put together in the past 8 years. You get the point. These 5 star reviews areas real as CNN news. Dig deeper folks and dont be fooled.
