I was expecting it to be your standard mediocre mall games and hobbies store, but it was pretty bad even by those standards. Dirty, understocked, and really only sells stuffed animals and a few other things makes me recommend checking out really any other store in Portland instead.

My boys and I ventured across town to visit Gambits and we were not disappointed ☺️ .We feel lucky to have found such a cool store with prices that range from a couple bucks and on. A variety of cards at affordable prices.Not only did we have plenty to chose from that fit any price range. We also were greeted with fabulous customer service. Knowledgeable customer service I might add.Took the time to explain to me in detail whatever questions I may have had during our visit. Also explained the importance to my son in knowing what he had. What to look for and how to trade cards with others safely. Not to mention how to handle his cards and store them.Thank you !I encourage anyone whos thinking about taking the trip over to Gambits . Buying from this store, eBay and Amazon is like the samething.They mark up there pokemon cards prices so high. They match crazy online prices. A box that costs 20$ They mark it up to 60$Save your money and try your luck at the pokemon machines. They are so much cheaper than those hack card shops. They aint like they used to be.

Guy working there was very kind and friendly and sociable. His wife on the other hand seemed absolutely miserable and treated another customer very rudely when they were browsing. Not visiting again, better to import yourself than have to deal with her.

My husband and I visit the store about once a week. Were able to get penny sleeves, toploaders, and booster boxes of the cards we collect. Always a great atmosphere with the store owners and staff.

Scummy store run by scummy people. They literally have runners who go buy up all the pokemon products from the local targets/walmart/fred meyer, and then proceed to sell it on their shelf for 3-5x the MSRP. STAY AWAY.Guardian Games puts these guys to shame.

Great store but I bought a couple Pokémon evolution packs and it wasn’t till I was home opening them when I realized something strange how they were opening and looked closely at them and realized the packs were resealed so I was very upset considering I paid a lot of money for them just to be resealed packs so just be careful when you buy Pokémon packs from them.

The staff was friendly and the merchandise was reasonably priced. Would visit again when I am next in Portland

Amazing little family owned anime & TT/card game store!! They have all the good stuff you expect and like a whole wall of Pokémon plush. This is the only store in Lloyd center I desperately want to stay open so go give them your business

This place is great! They have a great selection of gaming cards and accessories as well as non-gaming cards and lots of fun collectibles. The people that own it are wonderful, helpful and very personable. Highly recommended!!!

Great survice, berry good selection of cards and had some amazing stuff definitely come here if you like pokemon or anything trading card realated.

Zero stars, I bought 50$ worth of Pokémon booster packs and once I had gotten home to open them I found that they had been resealed. Some of the cards inside were bent, some were carelessly put inside (upside down/facing the wrong way). This place is stealing and ripping everyone off who buys their Pokémon products. Will never recommend, will never return. Completely disappointed because I trusted what I was buying and was basically robbed. These people don’t deserve your business. Buyers beware and inspect all your items before purchasing.

We have had trouble finding Pokémon product anywhere in Oregon, yet we find so much in stock at Gambits. Their product is very over priced, even the Pokémon tins that are in print(gyarados HF tin) are 3x more. Me and my partner witnessed a friend of the business owner bring in a large flat cart full of Pokémon product that was purchased from target, Walmart, and Freddy’s. This was very frustrating to see them gloat about being first in line at the stores while they unpacked the many bags of product. The amount of product we saw them wheel in was jaw dropping, and this may be a consistent tactic Gambit uses to take product from the community. The gyarados tins especially, were $20 retail and are now being resold at $60. Be aware of the prices or you may be taken advantage of.

This store is where I take all my cards ( pokemon,yogi oh & magic), they are fair and friendly and always respectful and always willing to help you if you dont know something about the games very knowledgeable about the games and gamers who frequently visit there store.

I bought a booster box and when I opened it I got 5-6 v cards and I think they were opened because I saw some cards facing the wrong way

It was ok good selection of cards but you cant really buy older cards but it was ok.

Cool place, has great selection of certain items that are hard to find elsewhere. Employees are friendly, I just wish theyd wear their masks over their damn noses.

The guy that runs the shop is always very pleasant, and customer service is awesome! Plus. in a nostalgic way of spending hours digging through magic cards, you can reminisce and find cards you are looking for while browsing through a collection of mtg cards through the years. Just an average card shop, not too much going on here honestly. Id like to go back to get a better opinion on this, as I was kind of rushed when I was there.

They had a Hitmonlee plush, HITMONLEE! They have been my absolutely favorite Pokémon since R&B, but you never see Hitmonlee stuff in a store! I asked the clerk if there was one expecting a “no”, but she picked one right out of a shelf. It’s the freaking cutest, I love Hitmonlee.
