Friendly owners and staff. Usually a nice atmosphere. The coffee is top notch, and theres usually very good pastries on offer. Its an unpretentious but high quality place. Its always perfectly clean inside. Although the parking situation isnt perfect, you can usually find a spot fairly close.

Stumbled upon this little gem while driving through Portland this morning & needed a coffee. Excellent cappuccino, but I was so excited for the sambousas! I had two beef ones for a late breakfast & they were spicy & delicious! Didnโ€™t manage to get any photos before I devoured them, but will definitely go back for more!

Woman owned with a wonderful purpose: helping local farmers in her home country (Burundi in central Africa). Coffee is rich and flavorful, lots of fancy drink options. Avocado toast is AMAZING. Also on offer are locally made baskets (beautiful, great gifts) and beans. Comfortable cafe area, very pandemic safe and clean and lovely owners. Please support local businesses - and have great coffee in the process! A win-win!

This coffee shop has approximately zero appeal ... until you cross the threshold. Inside, it is bright, clean, and spacious. There were several tables scattered about at very safe distances. The staff was warm and friendly and helpful. I will definitely go back. They have little meaty hand pies, a few confections, and they have whole bean coffee plus a bit of swag for sale.

This a terrific spot in the West End. The coffee is excellent. I had no idea Burundi coffee beans were so good. And they are roasted beautifully for this shop. I usually get a cold brew. The smells of the food being cooked there are always tempting. Ive had the meat sabousa which was delicious. There is also a good assortment of pastries there. The owners and staff are warm and friendly. They are observing safe social distancing practices. The cafe is on the ground floor and is accessible by wheel chair. The whole place has a great community feel to it. What a great addition to the West End neighborhood.
