They dont care about ripping off loyal customers, used to love this place but now we cant stand to even drive by. Paid $40 for some furniture when we got our new place, ended up having car problems and could no longer pick it up the weekend we planned to. Talked to someone and told them to just sell it and we were told to come in and get our refund when we could. Drove 25 minutes to just be told we had to wait for Ella rose, they wrote our number down for her to call. Never heard from her. Even tried calling to reach her a few times, no luck and she refused to just give us a call back. We would have been fine with even store credit but instead they just took our money for literally nothing.

Great pricing (usually lower than postings even make me expect) on used abd reclaimed or unused excess materials - lumber, tile, windows, drawers, blinds, nails, screws, etc. They also have some tools, mostly pretty rough-looking but probably some gems among them. Staff are super friendly, too, but dont pester. Sounds like they also do workshops and building/crafting contests.Down sides: Im not sure they have any sort of shopping cart (they have gear to move things as needed, but nothing to carry around with you, nor space for that to be very reasonable) and their setup is NOT friendly for wheelchairs or walkers. Also cant always be sure what youre getting, like with about any resale shop.

This is a wonderful place. They always have a huge selection of items for sale. Sometimes items definitely seem a little over priced for being second hand, but dont let that detour you. Products range from doors, to cabinets, to claw foot rubs, various type wood and trim, etc. Be sure to check them out for your next project.

What I love about the concept behind the ReBuilding Center, it keeps so many materials out of the landfills and that you can go there and find exactly what you need and repurpose it. Their mission is fantastic! Ive used them hundreds of times for many projects from home improvement, remodeling, as a source for props for both theater and movies set decoration. Today Im repairing my swinging Butlers door between the kitchen and dining room and I found exactly what I needed after going on a treasure hunt. Thank you ReBuilding Center for all that you do.

Great for finding items for fixing up or remodeling your home, garage &/or sheds Plus any other projects you may be looking at starting or are in the middle of. Love this place & the prices are great for the vast majority of the items you can find here. Plus Ive never had any issues in finding assistance when Ive needed it & thats not a statement I can make about some of the more popular (& expensive) home improvement or hardware stores Ive been to around Portland. A MUST STOP if needing anything for your home to help keep costs down. The only negative statement I can say is that because their inventory always changes depending on what is donated/received, they may not always have the items you are needing or wanting.

Friendly workers and volunteers. Pretty organized for the volume of goods they carry. As a regular customer I can find needed items quickly, but if this is your first visit allow extra time to look around their 2 buildings. You can place a free short duration hold on items while you decide to purchase; purchased items can be held 72 hours. Bring your gloves, tape measure, and dress warm if its cold out. Assistance provided for loading and unloading. Stock is constantly rotating and popular items go fast as things are priced to move. If you shop here you will save money, and save items from the landfill. This is the largest reuse stove in Portland, so a must see. The parking lot is small, but there is plenty of free on street parking. Volunteers wanted, and homes wanted for deconstruction. This is a non profit.

One of the finest nonprofit organizations in the Portland, Oregon area, which also serves as an umbrella for many smaller and/or short-term projects. The selection and maze of different things available here will make your mind spin - literally. Hunting through the stacks and piles and bins and rows for just the right thing will have you turning your head every which way. You will usually end up leaving with something you need, three things you didnt, and one item still not checked off your list. But I find this exciting myself and part of the adventure. Only 4 stars because it can be confusing on how to shop and the staff is not always readily available to assist or explain. Once you get it down the first time, though, its an amazing shop.

Sometimes you have to go a couple times to find the perfect item, but with new things coming in regularly it shouldnt take long to get what you need. One downside is the parking can be tricky. However, Ive spent hours walking up and down the isles and poking through bins. I have to admit that Im really overwhelmed by how much stuff they have. I did notice during my last few visits that things have really gotten a lot more organized. What I really hope is that some day Ill find kitchen cabinets that will work in my home. Not that Id really know if theyd work or not. Im not quite sure what Im looking for, but my hope is that some day Ill stumble across something(s) that will work for my home. There are multiple reclaim stores in Portland. This is a barebones operation in regards to product availability. Additionally this is in a location that could be better used for housing; parking is a pain. There is an ally that runs behind it for loading. If you need scrap lumber, an old door, or an old window this place is for you. If you need more, try hippo hardware.
