Delicious Milk shakes! The line was a little long and it seemed to go at a slower speed. But once you order the time to get your Milkshake is very short. My wife and I enjoyed our shakes very much. They also have a number of other chocolate items such as chocolate covered s’mores, chocolate bark, and others. I highly recommend if you are looking to satisfy your sweet tooth.

A MUST TRY PLACE when you are in Pittsburgh. It is one of the best milkshakes that I have ever had. I ordered the Chocolatier which was absolutely delicious. Nice location and bright shop... Makes it inviting to try. But the shakes itself are not worth $8 price tag. Very average shake... not thick. Thinned out with too much milk as other reviewers have noted. Should have taken it back to the counter. Numerous fast food chains offer way better shakes at half the price... no exaggeration! I loved the place! The milkshakes are amazingly tasty! We went daily the week we were in Pittsburg. The place is really nice, they have the products they sell all around, so you cant avoid getting something else. Its kind of crowed sometimes and theres a long line to get milkshakes, but its definitely worth it the wait (and its not really a long one). They have a good service.

We were in the city for a Penguins game and had to stop by The Milkshake Factory for some pregame delights. The location is easy to find. We road in on the T and got off at the Wood St. Station. It was a short walk from there. The atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. They not only have ice cream the have a nice assortment of chocolate candy, different flavor bark, and other sweet treats. Since we were there on a game day, we of course ordered a couple Jake Shakes. The presentation was great right down to the chocolate 59 on top. The shake was great and the price was not more than I had expected. If you find yourself in the downtown area and need a sweet treat, I would highly recommend The Milkshake Factory.

Very good milkshakes each one comes with a chocolate candy on top it says their logo on it very good try the chocolate strawberry dipped on last trip prices are about the same as other places for milkshakes anymore but overall great place to stop in and very clean and friendly staff.

The milkshakes were out of this world. Lots of gourmet selections including about a half-dozen dairy free options. The root beer float was also delicious. I had one of their chocolate covered oreos which was also very good. We will be going back frequently.

Its amazing what you can get for under $10. They really do a great job with speed, service and quality. The variety of presentations certainly entices the taste buds and whether youre getting confections or frozen treats, its a delight. I tried the stroopwaffle sundae and was not disappointed. We hung around and chatted with our friends for hours. The place is wonderful and well kept, even in heavy traffic hours. And while the line got very long at times, no one ever waited more than 10 minutes to not just get their order but also find a seat. They have lots of locations so no matter where you are, theres one nearby. I only found fault with one thing and that is their vanilla ice cream which they use as a base seemed slightly bland if you didnt have any of the other bits and toppings in your bite. But even then I couldnt call it bad or disappointing. Go there and have dessert.

Saw this place advertised on Monday Night Football bc of the shakes whose proceeds go toward a non profit organization. Well worth the visit!! My dad tried ‘Jake’s Shake’ and I had the ‘Shelieve Shake’. Both made with real ice cream, creamy and thick and great flavor.

My family went to this place to celebrate my mother’s birthday as a sweet treat. The food is a little pricey but it’s not like I get it daily. I could tell when I tried my shake that it was made with quality ingredients. It had a creamy and soft texture. The staff are nice, but were a little slow making the shakes. Stop by if you are craving a sweet treat!

UPDATED: Sept. 1, 2018: Still a great shop all the way around. Stuck with the same shake I had last visit. Only problem is the brownie bits and small chocolate chips within the shake tend to clog up the straw, so it’s probably best at first to use a spoon on this. Music was thumping and a bit loud, not to my taste, maybe it was New Wave Rap or something. This shop deserves a more elegant style of music to go with the decor and high-end treats.May 28, 2017: Gorgeous shop, friendly staff, HUGE selection of sweets and treats. I had the Brownie Fudge shake and it was absolutely decadent. Highly recommend this place! Ill definitely be back. :)

You can taste good quality of milk and chocolate.

Their name is self explanatory, but the execution is top notch. Perfect liquid consistency for drinking a milkshake but thick enough to not be soupy. A lot of different varieties to choose from, as well as dairy free options. They also have truffles, chocolates, and other goodies for sale.

Soooo delicious! First of all, I like how there is a self service station to place your order, makes the whole experience super quick and easy. I had the Stroopwafel Sundae. The only downside to this visit is the lack of sitting space (and its pretty packed tonight). We managed to find a seat but it would be nice if there was more sitting space.

Funny enough, the worst thing about this place is the milkshakes. Have you ever wanted an Oreo and you get a Hydrox? That’s basically getting a shake from here. The ice cream is fair but they cheap out on the add ins for all the shakes. You can go about anywhere and get a better shake ordering a plain vanilla or chocolate. Just wait for winter and get a hot chocolate.

Im not embarrassed to say that we stopped here on every night of our trip. I was hooked after ordering the Jake Shake on our first night, and tried many other gourmet shakes from the Red Velvet, Cookie Dough, and Salted Caramel. Our business party ordered almost every shake on the gourmet menu during our stay in Downtown...and while there are some shakes that are better than others, one thing was consistent, we always finished.The hype was real, and the Milk Shake Factory blows away our states overhyped version which is sadly known as Shake Shack. Cant wait to try ALL the versions when we are back in town!!

My fiancé & I were in town for a few days and noticed that The Milkshake Factory was super close to our hotel, so we just had to stop in! We opted for the Chocolate Covered Bacon Milkshake, though there were tons of other awesome flavors to choose from. I have to say, this Milkshake was one of the best ever!!! It had so much bacon in it, plus an amazing piece of chocolate covered bacon on top. When we come back to Pittsburgh we will definitely be coming here again! They also had tons of chocolate & chocolate covered treats available as well!

Being a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, I had to try the Jake Shake. It was pure delicious creaminess, chocolate, and surprises of cookies and brownies throughout. Even on a cold, October day, this shake is worth stopping for! Drink your lunch!
