We tried the waffle with dark chocolate, because we dont love super sweet things and everything on the menu looked like too much. That said, we understand why many of their options have so much stuff on them. The waffle itself is very airy and bland, kind of like an eggo, so its basically a vessel for the toppings. This is not a place where you would just go to enjoy the waffle itself, like waffallonia. The chocolate was okay too, not very dark or rich, more like semi-sweet baking chips. Total cost was $10 for this waffle..

Treats and Beans is the best place for crepes in Pittsburgh!! I always get the pistachio crepe with fresh strawberries, I’ve been ordering them on Grubhub for months. Finally walked to the shop today and the ladies there are the sweetest!!! Check them out and support an awesome local business!!

This was my second time here. we got here and they told us to order on the grub hub screen. we did that and our wait time was 17 minutes. There were 3 of us all with simple orders. 45 minutes went by and we noticed they still never had even started our orders. there were only 2 people working and they would not even respond when we asked when it would be ready. The older lady handed my receipt then 20 more minutes went by and an older guy came out and asked me if i got my order. An hour has passed by now. I then got my order of pancakes drenched in chocolate and could not even enjoy it. I will not be back.

I have a heart for small business. However, the business model is very frustrating. The packaging is mostly foam and plastic wares which is unsustainable at best. The technical issues also happens quite frequently. I suggest to improve in this aspect.

The food is good BUT the older woman who works there is extremely rude and blunt. The young woman has been kind and pleasant, but the older woman wouldnt even respond to me when I asked a question regarding a coffee. Wont be back.

If I could give y’all a thousand stars, I would. I’ve been ordering out a lot this week, and EVERY. Single. time my order has been wrong, from every single restaurant. Missing stuff, melted ice cream, cold, hard food. You guys are the first place to get my order right in a while, and it seriously made my whole night. It’s nice to know there’s still a restaurant that actually cares about their customers and pays attention. I got the pistachio crepe, an iced cappuccino, and a few candy bars I’ve never tried. I got whipped cream and ice cream with my crepe too, which they packed on the side. Didnt forget anything. This place is perfect for when you need a late night snack.The pistachio crepe was probably one of the best desserts I’ve ever had. I was licking the pistachio spread off my fingers, utensils, and the styrofoam container, I’m embarrassed to admit. It’s like white chocolate and pistachio butter mixed.

This shop is perfect to satisfy your sweet tooth. Even good enough for breakfast too if you are used to have crepes and waffles in breakfast. But different than usual crepes & waffles. More sweet due to sauces. We ordered crepes with Lotus sauce and it was wonderful. Banana n nutell shake was something we liked most due to normal sugar content. Staff is good and sitting is very confortable. Best place to enjoy with kids and family. Surely will be back and highly recommend it!

So we spent $30+ on one of there simpler waffles and 2 milkshakes. The milkshakes were alright but nothing impressive. The waffle was a mess and overall was not good. I keep seeing all these claims of higher quality ingredients. Well thats nice, but it doesnt make good food. And these high reviews seem uniquely biased. Disappointing

The kinder milkshake is heavenly. I also really love the mini pancakes and the white chocolate.

This place was cute! Basically, you choose a Crepe, Waffle, Pancake or Mini Pancake, a drizzled topping like Nutella, Chocolate, etc, a candy crumbled topping & then additional choices like fruit, whipped cream, etc.It was super good! Plus, they have Hot Chocolate, Coffee & other drinks too!

Update: The past two times weve ordered, they have been really skimpy with the chocolate - like, a third of the amount that was on the waffles the first few times. Plus, charging $1 for four tiny squirts of whipped cream is mildly outrageous. I love the idea and we loved the waffles at first, but $11 for a waffle with a tiny bit of chocolate and a candy bar is not great.We needed a treat after an awful day, so I ordered from Treats n Beans, hoping it would be good. The waffle and crepe exceeded expectations and well definitely order again! We shared a pistachio butter crepe and Kinder Bueno waffle and both were amazing. The milk chocolate was my favorite part of the waffle.

They close originally at 12 me and my friends went there are at 11:01 and they asked us what we wanted to get then said oh my bad we actually close at 11:00 just for today while they had people still drinking coffee outside

These are no regular breakfast waffles. There are straight from the heaven, will melt in your mouth waffles that you cant stay away from once you have then! Try the lotus sauce and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to complete the experience.

We have ordered treats and beans probably four times since quarantine started, we found it one night while looking for dessert, and have loved it ever since. Having just got back from living in France for several months, the ability to get a crepe at home is huge. I get a Nutella one and it is delicious. On top of that they offer .99 cent delivery on Grubhub so its a win all around.

Very unsustainable place to eat

Of all the waffle places I have been to in Pittsburgh, this is the best one so far and my favorite. The waffles here are crispier, bigger and have more flavor. You can choose upto 3 sauce toppings(Try the lotus) for free.

We ordered nutela waffle and white mocha.. they were just intoxicating. The aroma of chocolate in the cafe is too good. The staff was friendly. The place is small but the ambience is calm,comfy and peaceful.

I went in for coffee as Redhawk was annoyingly full of hipsters and their dogs. The coffee was great, then the guy said Here, try a waffle ball. A what?? YES. So delicious, light and crispy like a perfect waffle, and dark chocolate drizzle. The coffee was great too, med/dark roast and nice company for the sweets.

Good quality desserts - the chocolate sauce on my crepe hardened as it cooled, suggesting that there was actually chocolate in it, and the crepe was pretty authentic too. But it was quite expensive compared to Waffallonia down in Schenley Plaza (somewhere around $8-10 for a basic crepe, versus around $6 for decked out waffle from Waffallonia). One of my coworkers got a coffee and a waffle and agreed that the prices are too high for what you get. I dont expect to come back.
