I would not recommend Universal Windows Direct. There are other more reliable companies out there. We purchased 1 sliding patio door & regret purchasing from this company. Regret dealing with Cody at the Phoenix location. Filed a claim with their Las Vegas location & got nothing but a run around with them. Find another company who has a sales person who has experience.

The windows it self are amazing. I love the windows which is why it is not a 1 star. The customer service however is absolutely atrocious! I had Universal come out to get a quote. The deal I accepted was not the terms they gave me. After fighting for everything I was promised they said they fixed it and when I get the bill it clearly wasnt. They gave me a promotional deal no interest for the first year. I was told it starts the day of instalation. But it ended up starting the day the contract was signed. 5 months of the windows being delayed gives me 7 months to pay it off before the interest from last year all thrown in to the total. Overall experience, windows not worth the headach of the lack of customer service

Ordered sliding glass doors back in March of 2021, the company said they would notify me when the doors arrive which would take 6-8 weeks. I called the beginning of May 2021 to check the status and the company told me the doors were in. I never received a call from Universal Windows saying my door was in. I called to have the door installed the first week of May 2021 and spoke to Cody. Cody told me he would install the doors on May 10,2021 and would be at my residence around 2-3 pm. It was 3;30 pm when I called and Cody said he would not be able to install my door today. I took off of work to be there so they can install the door. Now Cody is saying 2 weeks out well see if that gets done.I then spoke to John the manager and told him and he said there was nothing he can do but take off $100 off the back end of the bill. So I lose more money by taking the day off and he is only going to give me $100 dollars.This company seems to be very shady I WOULD NOT TRUST THEM . They have very poor customer service. I would leave 0 starts if I could. My next review will be the installation if they ever decide to come. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

Worst window company I have ever hired to replace my windows. Once you start having problems with their poor quality windows, which you will, the management will respond very rudely and try to get out of honoring their warranty. You will not get anything done until you get the Arizona Registers of Contractors involved. Save yourself time, stress and money by using a honest window company.

I recently had a rep come to my home for a quote, as I was not made aware of the option for a virtual consultation. I found the experience underwhelming and have since decided to go with another company.Right off the bat, I had concerns. I was walking into the property with my mask on when the salesperson walked up, mask in hand, and asked Mask or no mask? I was taken aback - I was already wearing mine so obviously I valued the courtesy. At no point during the consultation did the rep wear gloves and social distancing was definitely not enforced. Despite what is listed here, customer safety does not seem to be a concern for this rep.The salespitch itself was definitely a high pressure situation. Even when we had run over an hour and I was saying that I had a really long day and wanted to finish up, the salesperson insisted I read every warranty and quote from their competitors in the sales binder. Before I even got the quote, he explained that it would have 3 prices: the regular price, a discounted price that is good for 30 days (75%ish of the regular price), and a one-night only special price (60%ish of the regular price) if I signed a contract right then. I very clearly told him that I would not be signing anything that day and not to even bother writing up this special price. However, even after saying I wanted to wrap things up, he took the extra time to calculate the special price and then tried to sell it to me after I clearly said no, making me read out loud the 4 conditions of this special price I didnt even want. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention when he tried to stump me by asking about united inches. I told him yeah, I know what that is, half the window perimeter and he said no, its actually length plus height, which for those who dont remember is exactly the same thing as half the perimeter.Overall, I felt a bit patronized and definitely not like I was being respected. The windows definitely seemed to be good quality, but I wouldnt recommend this company due to high pressure sales tactics and poor COVID-19 prevention practices.

They are ok for replacement windows. Some of the windows were poorly installed. Update they came and fixed the windows still one leaks so bad its starting to ruin the wood ledge. Contact Frances on july 15th sent her a e mail of the damage never contacted me back. I called her back 10 days later said she call back at mid day never heard from her. I agree save that money and go somewhere else. Funny thing is when they came to fix the window the first time they blamed the bad install on a guy who doesnt work for the company anymore. So from 3 star to 1 star

I sat down for a quote with Universal windows. They was going to get the approval from my HOA. Lied and said they did it. Went to the HOA. Never happened. Took my deposit without approval. Will not bother to talk with me. I told them I will be in January so I want the deposit returned and no one called back. This company is a scam not returning calls takes money without approval. Don’t let this company do this to you. Next call better business bureau.

We replaced all the windows in our house and were extremely happy with their services. They were very professional, efficient and well mannered. The windows are great, they make the house so much cooler and sound proof. Two of our other family members used their services and were just as pleased! We would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them.

They have avoided our calls. They did the wrong job we asked them to do, and now they are not owning up to their mistakes. Seems like they don’t want to fix the windows. We really liked them at the beginning, but they turned out to be so unprofessional.

I was very pleased with the service and how the company expedited the ordering and installation of my windows. The windows look beautiful and gave a totally updated look to my home! The install was seamless. Great job Universal!!
