The staff is so friendly and professional. They go above and beyond to offer the best service and they genuinely care about their patients. Ive been seen by a few doctors here and each one provides exceptional care. The new location is great too!

My experience with Pearson Eyecare Group was amazing from start to finish! I was impressed from the moment I walked in, from their friendly staff to clean and modern office. I felt my eyecare needs were genuinely cared for and my concerns were listened to. I am new to the area and plan to continue to return for all my eyecare needs!

I arrived for my appointment and was greeted immediately. The gentleman asked if I had made my appointment online to which I replied, yes. He explained that there had been a glitch so they did not have my information in the system but they were happy to honor my appointment, they simply needed to add my details to the system. Once registered, Heavenly took me straight back to perform the preliminary tests. She gave thorough explanations of what she was doing. She offered the additional scan with the pricing, which I opted for. Once in the room the Dr. Macklin came in promptly. He was kind, courteous, and thorough in his exam and explanations. He was able to offer me several options for a surgical procedure I need done to assist in my vision needs. He brought me up to Bradley who assisted me in choosing the perfect frame and lens package. I was absolutely shocked that the prices were no more than what I typically paid at Walmart. The service was amazing and you would have never known they had not had the time set aside for me from the beginning!

Josiah always provides outstanding customer service. Heaven was very professional and courteous. Ive been a patient of Dr. Macklin since 2017. He is always thorough, patient, and personable. The new location is very nice and trendy.

I would use discretion if you intend on going here, it is very clearly about money if you are paying out of pocket, they do not care about your eyesight. They screened me for extra services after I refused and still charged me for it. I feel as though my eyesight is getting WORSE since my appointment and I am taking my lenses to a different professional for a second opinion. I feel like they wont even meet this with consideration or remorse

Do not go to this place. Very unprofessional and it was the worst experience ever. First of all I called at 11:30AM and made sure they accepted my insurance and just to clarify my appointment and they said yes that I was good to go. Then someone from the office called me at 3:05PM when my scheduled appointment was at 3:20PM, made in advance of almost 2 weeks, and said are you still coming to your appointment or did you cancel? I said I did not cancel and I am coming right now. Then he said to me, let me make sure the doctor will wait for you because she’s about to leave. I said I’m confused as to why you have to ask the doctor because I have an appointment. He put me on hold for a few seconds and said okay the doctor will wait for you to get here. I arrived early to my appointment and the staff was very cold and quiet. The doctor was in a big hurry doing my eye exam. She was nice but I could tell I was a bother to her and she was going as fast as possible. Then the people in LensCrafters, where I was picking out my glasses, were trying to close early and I could hear them trying to talk quietly about me behind my back saying they had to wait to leave because I was shopping, let’s also acknowledge the fact closing time wasn’t for another 45 minutes. I felt very uncomfortable and a bother to the business. I finally picked out a pair and I went to checkout and the girl totally disregarded my vision insurance and was trying to way overcharge me. I picked up my belongings and I said I’m going to leave and I’ll do this myself online.

Every time I go in, the staff is very friendly and the optometrist is great! I ordered my contacts through them and they had good prices, and I was able to use my insurance to pay for them. When my toddler destroyed some of my contacts, they were quick to help me replace them - all for free! They also provided me with samples of different types of contacts and a small bottle of solution so I could decide which ones I would prefer. I would highly recommend going here.

Great visit for annual eye exam. I like how the system makes annual appointment for me, sends reminders right to my phone so I don’t have think about it. Was able get in and complete exam quickly. Friendly courteous staff. Keep up the great work!!

I had my first visit at Pearson Eyecare Group and had an A+ experience! I was running late when I arrived for my appointment and the staff embraced me when I walk in the door. The check in staff was extremely helpful, efficient, and polite. They completed my check in while I was getting my initial screening exam. The women that conducted my initial eye exam was also very polite and talked me through the whole exam so there were no surprises. After the initial exam, the Optometrist arrived promptly and was very personable and friendly. Again, very informative and polite. Now, on to glasses... Hope the experience is equally as great!

I had the most all around comforting Dr.visits ever. Dr. Black is a very caring friendly person who has all the latest equipment for testing and treating his patients. I felt right at home with his staff who are by far the coolest group i ever had the pleasure to do business with. Simply Amazing, and I never leave ratings. I called in at 4:45pm due to major pain in my eye. They were booked until the end of the day but the doctor was willing to stay late to help me out. I arrived at 5:05 and was diagnosed and out by 5:30pm. From the front desk to the doctor everyone was extremely helpful and concerned with the pain I was experiencing. As long as I’m in Phoenix, Pearson Eyecare group has my business, and I live up in Anthem. Thanks for the incredible service!

As a new resident in the Phoenix area I was looking for a good optometrist to renew my prescription for my contacts and glasses. I decided to give this place a try based upon the amazing reviews and it 100% lived up to and surpassed my expectations! The staff was very friendly, made me feel comfortable and was able to answer any questions I had about insurance. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze and I was seen right away when I arrived at the office. I HIGHLY recommend seeing this awesome and professional group of people-you will not be disappointed.

Best eye care I have ever received. All medical professional offices are generally on target regarding customer service, and Pearson Eyecare Group are also flawless in their service. The thing that makes the difference is that they are more thorough than any optometrist/ ophthalmologist Ive ever experienced. Cutting edge technology and thorough, comprehensive exams. If theres better out there, Id like to know, but Im saying with these guys because theyve got it down.

When I arrived for my eye exam the staff greeted me smiling and were in such a great mood! They led me through my paperwork and were quick to get me through my preliminary exams. The doctor came in to see me quickly and was kind and efficient.When I went back for my contact fitting I was greeted with the same fantastic attitudes and efficiency.

Dr. Black is such a great eye doctor! I recently had a cornea ulcer (dont sleep in your contacts haha), and he has seen me through the entire process! Even when he noticed it wasnt responding to treatment in my follow up appointment, he called every specialist until he got me on the list for a same day appointment. Then he called back before that appointment just to make sure that I was on my way and that he didnt need to make anymore calls to get me in somewhere. Talk about complete follow through! You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients! Plus the office is amazing and the staff is beyond nice! I highly recommend!!

Dr. Justin Macklin is great! The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I was made comfortable from the moment I opened the door. Scheduling appointments online is easy and quick. This is a total win-win experience for me!

I was a random walk in with no insurance. I was helped immediately, and after the very simple computerized paperwork had an appointment to see the doctor with in 20 minutes. The staff were all very friendly and professional, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the office. I will be returning to purchase new glasses in the next week. I may be moving north, but I will definitely suggest this business as the place to go for eye care to my Phoenix friends.

Dr Macklin is an excellent Doctor.He diagnosed me with three types of cataracts.I was legally blind {way over 20/200} . andafter my surgery my eyes are 20/20.

Ive never written a google review before but because Ive had such fantastic experiences at the location off of Camelback, I thought the staff deserved recognition.Over the past month Ive had an acute and painful eye condition occur in both eyes over two separate occasions. Both times, I showed up frantic and had no appointment and they got me right in. Ive been seen by both Dr. Black and Dr. Macklin and they both took great care of me. Both times theyve scheduled follow up visits FREE OF CHARGE to make sure that their diagnosis was correct and that my condition has improved accordingly.Id also like to mention that the front desk and support staff is also extremely helpful. Josiah (not sure how to spell his name) seems to be the main guy there, and in addition to being extremely courteous was very proactive in helping me.Like I said, Ive never felt compelled to write a review for a business (positive or negative), but this whole team deserves recognition and I encourage anyone in the area considering an optometrist to give them your business.

I felt very comfortable expressing my eye concerns and the dr was very helpful. The staff is nice. I have been going to this location for about 3yrs and the visits are always smoothly.

I was looking for a new place closer to home and/or work to have my eyes checked and get a new prescription for glasses. I found this place listed in my providers for my health insurance and I am very glad I chose them. Upon arrival I was immediately thanked for completing my forms on-line. After I was checked in I was immediately taken to an exam room for tests. Once the tests were completed I did not have to wait more than a couple minutes for the doctor to come in. The eye exam was thorough and everyone that assisted me was friendly and very helpful. I would recommend them without hesitation. The only thing to be aware of is that they are located inside LensCrafters and even though Pearson excepted my insurance, LensCrafters did not, so I will need to go elsewhere to get my glasses as they were a little pricey.

Do not go here. they lied about taking my insurance and then had me pay for everything up front. 300 dollars for a pair of glasses that should have been free.

Missed two giant retinal tears more than a year ago based on my complaints of seeing flashes of light that I could not replicate. After time these retinal tears resulted in a severe detatched retina, requiring an emergency scleral buckle, currently awaiting on whether or not I will require a second surgery due to the severity and time left untreated. Proceeded to lecture me for 45 minutes for waiting six weeks before seeking treatment, yet I had to wait to get into the office and THEY MISSED THE TEARS.

I was there assisting my Mother as she has had several mini strokes, She also has Alzheimers, Parkinsons, & Dementia. The staff was very kind, patient, & understanding & explained everything in a way she could understand it. Well be back next year. Thank you for making this visit comfortable for my Mother & I.The only thing I would like changed is to instal a handicap accessibility ramp near the entryway doors. There was none to be found.

Got home and that is where the problem was! My doctor told me I would be able to see a lot CLEAR and better!...Now I have spent the weekend cleaning my entire house! walls, baseboards, cabinets, I SEE EVERYTHING!!!Ill be back in 2 weeks to get that second pair!!!Pearson Eyecare Group...they are the TRUTH!!!
