Good experience, I was greeted nicely and the staff was friendly. The only thing is I wish they explained things to me a little more since this was my first time getting an exam and getting glasses. They offer a military discount and multiple glasses discount so the purchases was good.
Possibly one of the worst eye glass worlds Ive been too. Theres no sense of urgency. Workers are just spaced out, not helping the long line they have. If I was the manager (which I didnt see around) I would have written these people up or fired them. There is plenty of people that would love to have a job. I hope someone teaches these people some work ethic.
I went in to see if my glasses could be cleaned, requiring removal of the lenses. I was treated with kindness and respect. The gentleman cleaned my glasses quickly, and cheerfully. Thank you!! Will check you out when I need frames!!
I was impressed with the bargain I got and was able to purchase exactly what I was looking for at an affordable price. There was a minor issue with my glasses, and the staff immediately got to work on the solution, no ifs ands or buts! I’m pleased and satisfied, and I’ve already recommended them to a few other people!

I have been going here for about 10 years, I think? They have always been so nice and accommodating and helpful and honest. I went to a fancy opthomologist a coupler of years ago an he set me up with a really bad prescription that just didnt work at all and when I went back, he argued with new and told me there was no problem when there actually was. I know whether I can see or not. I returned to Eyeglass World and they were so nice and empathized with my situation and gave me an exam and new glasses at a reduced price since I got my script from them, even though in wasnt their fault that through script was bad and non hard feelings that I tried a new doctor.
I had an appointment set up for today at 4pm. Took a day off of work, so I could get an eye exam done. Come in and theres no doctor. Like are you for real? Why wasnt I informed? Its not like you-all are busy. Im beyond livid. Ill take my business elsewhere.
Waited 4 plus weeks for call on glasses being ready. Called office and phone rang for a long time and finally picked up and released. When I did speak to someone very rude customer service. Stated one pair was ready and would have someone call me back. 5 days later no call. I call and am told they are ready. Why lKnowing glasses are filled because they are needed, why no call on them being ready!???
Definitely dont regret coming here, everyone was so nice and friendly and helpful, place was very clean. Also got my glasses the same day within 3-4 hours! Hands down best place to get glasses! Definitely gonna let everyone know to come here, my mom went with me to help me pick my glasses and shes gonna schedule an appointment for her next :) very affordable! Definitely gonna keep going here from here on out!

I had a very pleasant experience here. Everyone was kind and informative. They had a great selection of frames to choose from. I got my glasses in 13 days, which was within the time frame they promised me. I will definitely be returning next time I need them.

The best experience I had was calling to schedule the appointment. Asked if they took my insurance and if i could schedule for eye exam for contacts and glasses.I showed up early to my appointment and waited at the door ten minutes over the time to be helped(as per covid restrictions). Paperwork was easy and the exam was fairly quick, but it wasnt until mid test they thought I wasnt using insurance. There was not any previous mention of insurance, not even on the paperwork, and they had asked for me to verbally share my SSN!!! 😠 When the exam was over they struggled with my insurance information for over 30 MINUTES as I viewed their frame selection.Frame selection was pitiful, their prices match the quality, with only the designer brands being the more worthwhile to look at(one small rack with frames costing $200+). After over an hour of a visit, they asked if I wanted contacts and a contact exam AFTER my eye exam, WHICH IS WHY I SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT. Was brough the wrong set of contacts, and waited over twenty minutes for the person to return with the right set. Im never coming back.

They did away with the eye club for $99, 3yr membership that covers exams, and they charge $89 for a single exam. Ridiculous!! There is ZERO value in coming here as the quality of product and service offers nothing back to the customer. Take your business elsewhere, get your prescription & purchase your contacts or glasses online. And, they dont care - I spoke to the store mgr & expressed there above - his response was, okay.
Although I probably came to Eyeglass World on their busiest day, a Saturday, it was all worth it. I received exceptional service by a young lady named Taryn. She was very helpful, patient and most importantly, she genuinely seem to care about her my needs. Even though there was a long wait, it didnt bother me once I realized why it took a while. Taryn takes her time with her customers and builds rapport with them, while assisting them at the same. This was huge because most places like to rush to the next customer when they have people waiting. She was very personable and super friendly. But it doesnt stop here, Emmett assisted me today with picking up my glasses and ensured that I was satisfied with my purchase. He took the time to clean them off for me so I can try them on, and they were exactly what I wanted.Thank you, Taryn and Emmett, for making this experience a great one!
Got two pair of glasses NOT for $78 dollars because of bifocals. Both pair the were not my prescription. I see better out of a 15 year old set of glasses than those purchased here!Best of luck to you, I’ll never shop her again.

Felt like they just tried to scam me. Came here less than six months ago for my glasses. When I called in I told them I had all the same insurance info and when I arrived for my appointment that was the first thing I said to the lady who gave me paperwork to fill out. While I was trying on different frames another lady told me they no longer accepted my insurance but she would give me the prescription and then proceeded to ask me to pay for the eye exam. When I said I would have never gotten the exam if they had communicated they didnt accept my insurance at multiple instances she didnt want to give me the prescription.
Worse experience I have been coming here for years. I show up to my appointment that I set up for them to tell me they no longer can take me after I’m losing time from work. When they were not done with the previous appointment. And the best solution I could be offered was to sit and wait and hope another appointment would not show. Horrible customer service.
The exam was fine, but I was hit with unexpected charge, and when my contacts arrived they were damaged. I call the store and was put on hold for a long period of time. Then was told she couldnt help me call back when manager was in.
Mona helped my daughter find her glasses. She is wonderful. Dog chewed my daughters glasses up. School stars tomorrow. Mercedes was willing to get the new lenses cut. So, she could have the the first day of school. This store has been awesome. I have been to several different Eye glass stores and not one person. took the time to help my daughter. I had an amazing experience today at Eyeglass World. Not only did we find frames we fell in love with but we were able to walk out with our new glasses which is very rare. Everything was seemless. The Optometrist was extremely thorough and caring. I have to give a special thanks to Brittany. She was professional and personable which is not an easy balance. She also took the time to make great recommendations. Robert stayed late just to make sure we got our glasses which was not expected. He even did an extra test to make sure everything was good to go. Thank you guys for a great experience.

The sales person I talked to tried to sell me on a polycarbonate lens upgrade, but failed to specify that said upgrade is an ADDITIONAL $100, rather than raising the total price to $100, which was the implication. Also, I scheduled an appointment specifically because I wanted same-day service, which is boldly advertised all around the exterior of the store, but was told my glasses wouldnt be ready for another 3 days. Why schedule appointments for same-day service, why advertise same-day service at all, if thats not what the customers are going to get? Its false advertising, its dishonest sales tactics, and its very disappointing.I will say that most service members were friendly (one was very short with me) and the ophthalmologist was cheerful. Still dont have my glasses (again, I was lied to about same-day service), so well see in a few days if they turn out all right.Update: the lenses I got didnt seem to be quite as strong as I need. Very close, but not quite. However, I wont be asking them to redo the lenses, as the manager I spoke to LAUGHED AT ME when I said I didnt think the prescription was strong enough. No way on earth am I going back to a place where Im laughed at. Thats just rude beyond words.Never returning.I also notice that Nancy has been responding to all low-star reviews by inviting reviewers to contact the Eyeglass World management team, but they cant retroactively make my experience any less terrible, so unless Im getting an apology AND a refund, I dont know what she thinks the management team can do to make this better. Im not sure I should bother contacting them. I AM sure that, instead of running around trying to put out all these fires, they should concentrate on improving their overall customer experience so that what happened to me and the others doesnt happen again.

I asked her if she was the supervisor because all the other employees were asking her questions. She told me she wasn’t, but she looks like a candidate for that position in the future! Would rate 0 if I could. Set up an eye exam. Had to wait 4 days to see a doctor. Finally get to Friday I get there 30min early. Guy then gives me all this paper work I ALREADY pre did online to avoid waiting. Im now an hour in with not one word of assistance. How long, if im being seen, nothing! This is absolutely the worst eyeglass world location.
Brain takes care of my family and we travel from Scottsdale to get all our contacts and glasses. Its worth it for the value and expertise! The eye exam and lab are on premises.
I always came here for my eye exams And everyone has always been very nice. But today when I went in a new employee was very rude and had an attitude as soon as I walked in and because of this I will never be back I’m going to find somewhere else to go from now on, I work in the medical field and I really can’t believe that that is how she treats people or that they let her treat people that way in their office.

Not a pleasant experience. The female doctor needs to learn how to communicate. Treats her patients like cattle. Im a medical professional myself. Its not that hard to interact with patients properly and still move them along.I must say that the techs in the eye exam area were great. Good job ladies.The eye glass sales lady seemed to think a person who hasnt worn glasses, ever, should understand everything she is talking about. Big disconnect there.Ill be looking for specialty lenses in the future.Id rather get a new eye exam than come here again.

We agreed to a price, I paid the balance that went over what my insurance paid, which was $300.00, at the time of the order $56.00. when I went back to pick up my glasses the order was wrong and gave them ANOTHER $65.00. Then I received a bill for ANOTHER $45.00. That totaled over 50 percent more than I was quoted. Nevertheless I will not recommend this business or EVER go back.
On family vacation driving from Phoenix, AZ to Fort Morgan, CO and my son happens to break his glasses....no spares anywhere! 😭 I call the location i got them from and they were soooooo awesome! She took my info and called the location in Colorado Springs and found they had lenses in stock! We arrived next morning and picked a new set....Liz had them ready in 45min for us to get back on the road!!!! I went to this place because they said no appointment needed. I broke my glasses and I needed to drive for work. I arrived and was told to have a seat but the DR doesnt want to take anymore Walk ins. She had a machine this afternoon. Whatever that meant. Instead of calling me up to the desk the young lady shouted back and fourth. Then explained to me that I didnt have a appointment so we take anyone with a appointment first. I waited over 2 hours before just leaving. I took my business elsewhere. Now Im getting calls asking me to confirm a appointment I never made. I would never ever use this service. Buyer beware..

Broke my glasses today and stopped by to pick up there 2 for 78. Was greeted by everyone with a smile. Got set up with 2 pairs and they actually had my prescription in stock and picked them up same day. Super fast friendly and professional. Met the manager as well every one here is great. This is my second experience like this in the last 3 years and dont think ill be going anywhere else.
Eyes tested Saturday. Glasses ready for following Tuesday at 4pm!! Now 4:26pm.....still waiting!! No other people on office!!! Not good business!! Considering this should be a sane day service..
Not going to lie had to wait a few min to be helped. They engaged me and asked me to sign in and someone was with me with in 20 min. Melissa helped me find a great deal on my contacts and put in some extra effort to help me out. Been going here for a few years about once a year, always got what I needed. That said I got contacts and had my apt there. I do not nor have not got glasses made repaired or fitted here.
I couldnt have had a better experience imaginable! The optometrist who helped my sister and I out, Cammie, went above and beyond to get us set up with the best glasses and prices! I was literally in tears after we were all set and done! Living on my own had made it nearly impossible to afford the eyewear that I need every day and she made it possible for me to get what I need and still have enough money to pay all my bills on time. I cant thank her and her associates enough! This is definitely the best place to go in Phoenix. Id recommend Eyeglass World to everyone! Im definitely coming back again!
I have called 5 times today to TRY and schedule an appointment, 1 time it went to a machine saying they were closed (at 3:15pm) 3 times someone picked up and hung up on me and the last time a lady picked up and said your gonna have to hold on and hung up on me before I could even speak. So if you can get through to them to get an appointment, let me know how there service is, as for me I just made an appointment with Americas Best.
I wrote this on Yelp last week: If you want your glasses in a timely manner, this is not your place. The staff is friendly enough but apologies can only get you so far. After glasses taking 4 weeks on what was supposed to be 10 business days, the prescription was wrong. Another 10 business days later and then some and the glasses are still not ready. Geesh. Original order date was mid-February. We are about to enter MAY.^^I wrote this 4/25 after the glasses were not ready AGAIN. I was told that they should be ready in the next day or so as they were in the final stages. I was also told they would call when ready. A week later, I havent heard. I am about to call to check. Wish me luck!---and...they are ready. Not sure if they were ready within the day or so since they did not call and I had to follow up. Now, hopefully the Rx is correct. NEVER AGAIN.
Dr. Lasee was very informative, insightful (pardon the pun), respectful, and knowledgeable. She took a genuine interest in me and she clearly has passion for her work. I am impressed with her dedication to the profession and overall well-being of my sight. Ill be back, and I have already referred my friends.(I rated a 4 because the office smelled a bit stale; as if the carpets are old or something...I hope they get that taken care of soon because it was a rather off-putting)
Love this place.This is the second time that Ive pursached eyeglasses at Eyeglass World and the experience has been amazing again. Very friendly and fast service. I will keep coming back as they have a very satisfied customer.
I had come here on numerous occasions for glasses in the past so I figured Id use their services again, my mistake. Upon arrival I was greeted by a guy named Willy. I told him what i wanted and we sat down to write it up. The first thing he does is start asking me about political candidates, which I found odd. We had differing opinions on which candidate we were voting for which made the conversation even more awkward especially since I didnt know this guy. Once I started wearing the new glasses I felt off balance and started having what I describe as mini headaches. So as it turns out, good old Willy imputed my prescription into the computer and it was way off. The prescription called for a 60 radius in my left eye and good old Willy imputed 150 into the computer. I went back and sure enough he screwed up my prescription. After 6 days I called to see if my lenses had come back in with the right prescription...I had figured they may have done a rush since they screwed up the first time. Willy answered the phone and he says We dont get them back for 10 days. I dont know why you called this soon, Im busy right now and Ill call you back. I waited to no avail because good old Willy never called back. The next day I get a call from one of the other staff members and sure enough my glasses were there. In my humble opinion good ol Willy needs to be reprimanded for his terrible customer service and for screwing up my prescription. Did he do it on purpose because of our political differences? Possibly. Was it an honest mistake because he was flustered by our differences? Possibly. Or is he just incompetent? Probable. Either way Eyeglass World has lost over 1500 dollars a year in sales from my family.

Both the optometrist and front desk assistants lack customer service. The assistant could not find my file; unorganized and careless. I’ve been a customer for several years and I never received this kind of treatment before.

I am from out of state, came out here to visit friends and my specks broke. So I got new prescriptions and two pairs of glasses.The staff here are in incredible and I would definitely recommend this place to go to for your specks.
I thought eyeglass world was great. Compared to other places in the area (Lenscrafters, Arizona Optical Dispensary, etc) they have a wide selection of frames and reasonable prices (from $60 up). I went in there with a prescription and was allowed to do my thing, and when I was ready for service/help it was prompt and easy.
I would rate this place a zero, but that option is not available. I personally would suggest Walmart for better service for the development of lenses as well as glasses. I spent 600 dollars on two pairs of glasses and both are horrific quality. My husbands first frames broke with less than a year from the pressure of the lens. No damage was on the frames from wear and tear, the frames just broke. Now the second pair of glasses which are his reserved pair, the lenses were taken in to be fixed four times within the first 4 weeks of purchase. Yet still contained terrible quality, why you ask? Because the frame itself bends the lens out of shape. I have asked the manager, if there was anything they could do since the frames were of terrible quality they just argued that nothing was wrong and if problems still arose just to come back, which he stated after the fourth visit. Another solution should have been resolved after the fourth visit. My husband has worn glasses his entire life and if he states he cannot see out of the lenses, it is not because they are just new, he truly could not see with the glasses. Now he suffers from constant headaches. If you yourself would like to avoid a headache avoid this company.
Was greeted upon entry. Only waited a short peorid of time picked out 3 glasses to choose from . All frames were similar colors different. Eliminated 1 (pink) and took photos of the remainig 2 glasses ( silver and black) Left to get families opinion. Returned and the one we chose couldnt be found. The pink one was her 1st choice, not mine. Told them Thanks for waisting my time and left. The best review I can give them was buying my glasses elsewhere.
My whole family went into the Eyeglass World on 35th Ave & Peoria Phoenix AZ. As my kids are 2 and 3yrs old. They look at the place as an open field playground. As me and my Fiancee were getting our eyes checked 1 at a time, the staff were great and friendly. They showed that they understood both parents with hyper kids that can only think about Mcdonalds cause its right next door. Everything was done in a timely manner. They even offered us drinks. Love the place and would recommend it to anyone.

Do not go there.... they are running a scam. I was told after my eye exam that the price of my glasses would be a total of $178 for two pair, and my insurance was to cover a majority of this balance. After returning for my follow up (for contacts) I go see a tech to purchase the glasses I picked out the prior week only to find out my insurance does not cover their special promotion and that I would have to pay 4x as much as I expected and this would only be for one pair. I am not happy at all now im left without eyeglasses because I refuse to pay more than I was quoted and for only one pair. Do Not I repeat Do Not come here for your glasses if you have insurance that will be covering any of the purchase price. ITS A SCAM! 35th ave & Peoria location
Update: I emailed corporate like Nancy requested in the response but it has been a full business week with no response.Original Post: I tried to bring my daughter here to get glasses with a prescription from another doctor. She picked some frames out and I tried to find out where to go to purchase them. There are no signs anywhere indicating where to go so I asked an optician who said she would put us on the waiting list.We sat down and waited until a man called out that everyone needed to sign in. This was the first we heard about a sign in list but I put our name about 10th down among all the other customers that just found out about a sign in list. Then we waited some more until an optician came around and asked me what I was waiting for. I explained that we needed to purchase some glasses and that I had signed in and he told me I had signed in on the list for people picking up only. At this point I was very frustrated and told him we had been there a while so he told me they would get to us soon.A few minutes later he called our name and told us to sit at a desk and someone would be right with us. A few more minutes go by and a third optician walked up looking confused with a customer right behind. He asked if someone was helping me and I told him about the other optician telling me to sit there and someone would help me. The new guy then asks me to move because he doesn’t have a desk to help his customer with so we get up and wait some more.Then I finally got so frustrated that we walked out because there was no indication that we would be helped anytime soon. This place is incredibly unorganized and impossible to navigate.
Worst experience and customer service ever! Super expensive for each and every upgrade. Even my prescription was wrong I had to go back and have another doctor recheck my vision my prescription was way off. I had to reorder my glasses because they made 2 pairs with the wrong script they also gave me the wrong frames. I paid over 300 for my lenses and frames with high index 1.64. I decided on a refund and they couldnt even do that right. Now I have to wait on a check in the mail 10 days. Dont let this place rip you off. I eneded up purchasing my glasses from zennis online I paid 80 bucks for everything including frames and high index 1.74 with anti glare and scratch no extra charge. I will only be going here for my script from now on and thats only because they wouldnt refund me for the exam which is good for 3 years. Save your time and money.

I dont feel I received a quality eye exam, the whole appointment was rushed through by the whole staff, and on subsequent follow-up appointments theres always this rude gentleman they have the audacity to put by the door greeting people. Dont waste your time here people.
Ive been calling for the last hour and no one will answer. I get one guy who transfers me and nothing happens. Im very annoyed and Ive payed good money in the past and now I cant even make a dang appointment. BsUPDATE- i spent 150$ on glasses to not only get the wrong prescription but for them not to fix it. So now i have two pairs of glasses that are wrong script. UGH, i am not going back which is unfortunate. I liked this place

Read the other complaints. All true. They will only sell contacts for 6 months so if you call and only have 5 months left they will try to get you in to make another appointment. They wont even give you your prescription over the phone claiming it is a HIPAA violation because it isnt valid if they tell you what it is. Pushing so hard for sales is going to drive your customers away. They will only fax it or you have to literally drive out there to pick it up. Dont go here.
I had an eye exam and bought glasses on 8/5/2017. The receptionist could not validate my insurance for whatever reason. I called my insurance company this morning and they validated my insurance AND stated that Eyeglass world is contracted so I should have been covered. I paid a lot of money out of pocket for my exam and frame. They messed up my prescription. I can see very well up close, long distances are blurry. I will never return to this company again. (I did submit a claim to my insurance and will be reimbursed).
My old pair glasses got destroyed and i needed a new pair of glasses right away cause my job requires me to wear them. I was able to set up a appointment n get service when i was supposed to. Very friendly staff. I would recommend them to anyone that needs eyewear and is on a budget.
Great staff and great service!!This is the 3rd time I bring my son here. This visit was different, my 15yr old son had an emergency- he broke his eyeglasses and really needed them for school.We did a walk in since it was an emergency. Of course since it was over a year he needed an eye exam. Ana was great to give us a walk-in visit with Dr. Wong after the eye exam Yazmine was really great helping us out with my sons new eyeglasses selection. Yazmine was great understanding why it was important for my son to have his new eyeglasses the same day, Yazmine made it happen. In less than 3hrs my son got his new glasses 😀🙌👏

Wow; I just walked out of there feeling like Ive been ripped off. Never mind all the B.S. up sale you get. but every one that comes in there is lied to and they lie in their advertising about you getting your glasses the same day. This is more B.S. nobody ever gets their glasses the same day. They will tell you your prescription is out of stock so you have to wait 2 weeks or better like any where else but you pay these people more. There was at least 20 people who had gone in and out while I was there, not one them got the same day glasses. I over heard the reps saying the same thing to the other people that they said to me. Im going back tomorrow to get my money back. If I have to wait Ill take my chances on line for a way better price.
I have been going here about 3 years. I signed up a year or so go to get the free eye exams for 2 years so I called yesterday to set an appointment to come in it was set for today. I accidentally overslept my exam and I called in to ask if I could reschedule and if they could tell me approximately how much my contacts were going to cost when I came in so they looked at my account and the girl said O you actually dont need an eye exam yet you have a couple of months so you can come in any time and just pick up your contacts. I said cool I just drove down there only to be told that no I cant actually get those contacts that I have to have and I exam based on the contacts that I have which the girl should have told me earlier on the phone and that they didnt have time to squeeze me in for an eye appointment today and I need to reschedule.... So now I have to go waste my money again to drive down there on Tuesday for an eye exam and contacts even though my exam isnt actually due yet. I have called the corporate office and left a message I have let them know on their Facebook page what I think & I had better get a discount on my contacts & another free yr for exam because of the time & money I wanted to go here. I am livid. If you cannot get in to somebodys account and get that information correctly before I drive down there then youre incompetent and you shouldnt have a job there.
The service by Brittany was out this world... She was excellent explaining all the benefits and the options in glasses to my and my little girls. We will be back in our family we all use glasses.

Greatly organized selection of glasses and friendly staff. You can get your glasse in 3 days or same day; due to the reason being that they have a lab for the glasses.
Staff really dont have a clue, whats going on . My glasses were supposed be done in 10 days went over 10 days . My wife called and ask about my glasses the staff was so lost they didnt have a clue where my glasses were. They didnt even know who I was . So if I go to eyeglass world I will go to the one in Goodyear or I will make the drive to Mesa. I will never go to the Peoria location.
Went to get my son some new glasses. Melissa was amazing & very professional - got them in a few hours from the time we walked in and he got his eyes checked. I was happy especially since its a long drive for him coming from ASU. Willie very kewell too.Lorrie B

Seems to be going downhill at the Peoria Avenue location in terms of customer service. I called in and a man with what sounded like a thick French(?) accent took my call. I was put on hold four times, and each time, someone else would pick up the phone and mistake me for another customer - then put me back on hold. They also disconnected me and I had to call back. Just very poorly managed.Also the gentleman I spoke to did not seem to comprehend that I needed guidance not just with regard to reordering lenses, but as well, with obtaining good pricing (via rebate, discounts, or other means). He appeared to be oblivious to that aspect of the process and kept advising me to make a purchase that was not cost effective. He did a lot of talking, but virtually no listening. In the end, I realized I was not going to get the service I needed and went elsewhere. Most likely will not be going back to Eyeglass World.
