Whenever we had birthday parties we traveled to Nogales, Mexico to buy inexpensive candy at the dulcerias (candy shops) down there. I knew there were dulcerias in Phoenix, but my previous experiences were either very limited options or ridiculously high priced. One day, in preparation of my daughters 4th birthday we decided to stop by Dulceria La Bonita just to check it out and see if we could find anything worth buying. That day we found our piñata, the candy bags and decorations, and plenty of candy of course. The prices were very comparable to what we would have spent driving to Nogales minus the 4 hour drive round trip. Ever since, whenever we need candy for a party we know we need to look no further than Dulceria La Bonita. Stop here first before you go anywhere else for candy, chips, decorations, and soft drinks. They have it all! Do be careful, though, as it is located in a rough area. But if you go during daylight and stay aware of your surroundings you should be fine. Definitely more safe than shopping for candy in Nogales.

Which is hilarious considering their employment seeking sign asks for, positive individuals.( the older lady who acts younger at the front desk also for some reason took her mask off while attending us, NO IDEA WHY.)

Do not use their coin exchange machine, they keep some of it.

Price was not what was shown and the young lady taking care of me tried to tell me how to read the stickers/magnet and description...but there were about thirty of the same items for the same price....l made it very clear to her that lt wasnt necessary to teach me to read ...l dont obtain employment at this establishment and please do not lightly argue with me ...for l need not to hear disrespect from anyone.....other than that the majority of the associates are very helpful and cheery.... thank you

Their online hours and Facebook hours say they open at 7am, got there at 7 and it was closed (even though their sign at the door said they opened at 7) waited 40 minutes and No one ever showed. Shouldn’t put they open at a certain time if it’s going to be closed.

Well stocked store, but horrible customer service. Cashier was very rude, treated my family as if we were there to steal something. This establishment should provide better training to is personnel.

I heard girls talking about MULITPLE EMOLOYEES TESTING POSITIVE TO COVID 19!!! The store manager only disclosed 1 case on facebook!!! Social distancing lines are not being enforced and alot of people are coming in!!! Employees and customers dont wear masks!!! What is wrong with the store? for sure reporting this business. I come to this store to buy things for my business and they just lost business with me. The owner should seriously consider cutting hours and regulating the amount of people coming into the store.

We bought 4 boxes of candies this past Sunday. Today my sister decided to eat one & a worm came out. We called & inform them about the situation today. Unfortunately, they aren’t able to return my money for the other 3 unopened boxes that we threw away because we were disgusted. Although, we had the option to take the other 3 boxes in order for a refund but, imagine keeping a box with worms at your home until you have time to go return them. We live in Buckeye, Az and we usually aren’t in the Phx area until the weekend so no we weren’t going to save the box!! Also, we usually throw our receives away because we’ve been loyal costumers to this business and we’ve never had a problem with them until now. Check your candies or anything you get before eating them!! Especially if you have kids.

I went to the location on 35ave and Encanto to buy goods for my sons bday party. I purchased 8 piggy banks and didn’t noticed two were broken till I got home. I returned right away to ask to exchange them. The manager in charge treated me like a liar. Automatically accused me of dropping the items. I tried to explain to her what happened but she raised her voice at me. She didn’t let me explain anything that had happen. I work for a retail company Safeway and we strive to give the best customer service and I tend to feel I deserve that same service when I shop other retails. I understand that the items were final sale after she yelled that at me. She says the cashier had notified me this already but I told her that the cashier didn’t even look up at me and said one word. I would have checked the items at check out if she would have said final sale. I wasn’t there to try and make a scene but I was definitely embarrassed because she kept raising her voice at me and customers were staring at me as if I was crazy. Then as I was leaving with my items and balloons she yelled again “ are you going to pay for those balloons!” I couldn’t be more embarrassed. This lady shouldn’t be a manager. She doesn’t have no people skills what so ever. I didn’t get a chance to get her name because I walked out with so much anger. The cashier name was Heidi. It’s okay I can deal with my broken items but I wish you guys can take a little more time in training these ladies in customer service skills. That’s not good for your business.
