I was in yesterday, 10/29, looking for candy googly eyes for my Halloween cookies. A very helpful blonde woman who was dressed as a cowgirl spent a lot of time trying to find them to no avail. Just as I was checking out with an alternative, she ran up to me and she told me she found some in the back! Thank you, cowgirl!!

The yarn wall is rainbow heaven ☁️🌈☁️The renovations @ this location have made it even more of a landmark store. Bummed they got rid of some stuff (ex: nooo mirrors for crafting could be found) but overall it’s a phenomenal spot.

Hands down the best fabric and crafts store in the valley. I was especially impressed by their wide variety of different utility fabrics which included even synthetic grass and other carpeting materials. If you are looking to construct costumes, or want large cutouts of synthetic leathers and suede fabrics, this is also the store for you.I had an employee helping me with cutting some fabric for a project that was not on sale. She gave me the tip to visit their website on my phone to find a 40% off coupon code off of any one single product not on sale. I didnt have to exchange my email address or any information for the coupon, it was just right there, easy to use.

What’s the point of having a virtual queue for the sewing bar if all you’re going to do is take the next person in line plus deleting our name from the virtual queue?When we asked about it all we got in response is that the virtual queue does not work and they do not text the customer.Beautiful store, horrible service.

I walked in and was handed coupons...for next week. The store has been remodeled and quilting fabric has been moved to the far end as if its an afterthought. It also seems to be somewhat scattered, with flannels and others mixed in, making it difficult to find. The cutting table is not in the fabric department but an aisle away. I went there and was told to sign in on the computer over on the post. Mind you, not another soul was there. So, I put my name in and as quickly as that my name pops up on the overhead. Gee, what a surprise. Fabric was not well folded. At the checkout the girl was eager to sell me add ons but I didnt need them. Stop asking! Are you in a contest? Everyone was overly cheerful which is in stark contrast to the sullen people they used to have, but theyll never convince me to be a regular. I was there for two items and being a quilter couldnt resist a little fabric. At least everything was on sale.

The store may be improved but service has hit rock bottom. Five customers waiting in line and NO call for another checker. It took 17 minutes to get out. Thats worse than any discount store!

This is the junkiest retail store that Ive ever been in. Looking around, yourd expect that theyre either still moving in, or going out of business. In this case, it is neither. I first went to this location in the fall. I thought perhaps that it was so messy due to the upcoming holiday seasons. Its not an acceptable excuse, but I was trying to make sense of the mess. I have since visited this location and its ALWAYS this bad!!!Honestly, Im surprised that the fire department hasnt shut them down. There are aisles where moms with strollers and people in wheelchairs simply cannot get through. In an emergency, a person in a wheelchair could take a turn into a blocked aisle and lose precious time.Its disgraceful!The employees here are friendly so my review is not intended to be a refection of the staff. Its just very unpleasant to shop here because you have to navigate around the piles of junk while shopping.

THEY HAVE EVERYTHING! Half of the store has any color or theme of fabric youll ever look for. They are stocked in every color. Services were offered, and fast. Highly recommend this location. I know I will be standing in long lines when I need to have fabric cut and when I am at the front of the store in line to purchase items, its just a given. Ive been trying for a month to get black felt and every time I visit the store, they are out of it. But I do love their sales especially the 60% off deals and the sales people are always nice so I dont shop when Im in a hurry!

Always fun to watch my wife shop. I push the cart. But no staff although most shoppers know what they want just hard to find without help. Looks like they are remodeling

I am NEVER shopping this location again. I live 40 minutes away and this was the only location in Phoenix that had what I needed for a project (about $75 of merchandise). I placed the order on Wednesday and went to pick it up Friday. Just as I was about to leave to go pick up my order, I received the notifications that said thanks for picking up your order via text and email. I immediately called the store and the employee informed me that I picked up my order. I said that is impossible because I was home all morning and there is no way I picked it up. She then realized that she hit a wrong button or something and that the error was on her end, my order was still there. I left to go pick up my order, and I waited almost half an hour at the store, and had to call back in 2-3 times for them to bring my order out curbside. I received no apologies after it was made to feel like it was my fault, and I will never shop this location again. Unbelievably rude employees with no accountability.

Had a bit of a problem at check out. The sign says by 1 at regular price get the other half off. When I got to the register I learned that my items were excluded. I showed a picture to Patrick the manager and he corrected it. Im not sure if the computers are not recognizing this being on sale or if it is a sign issue but Patrick the manager was very understanding and made it right.Its a shame that the next lady in line was timing him on how long it takes for her to get to the next available cashier. She was not being very understanding when the store was extremely crowded. it seems like all the employees were on registers and doing all they could to make everybody happy but she was not.

The employees here are always soooo helpful! They have no problem answering questions, even with questions that might seem a little silly to them.. And the woman at the fabric counter was there to greet me with a bright smile. My favorite craft store in the area!

I love craft stores. Always going in for one thing and end up buying so much. Download the app before checkout for coupons and read them carefully. Frequently, you will save more money purchasing online for in store pick up. Thats the only reason Joanns lot a star. Coupons should always be accepted online and in-store. Joanns is great for fabric, paper, and jewelry crafts. Wish they had more selection in the way of acrylic paint brands. Prices are reasonable with coupons. This location is big and staff is mostly helpful.

Its a nice change from the usuals... Still more selection at competitors.. the older ladies are a little cranky here but otherwise pleasant experience.

They had a lot of items I have been wanting and good sales. Check out girl was nice and helpful. Worth the drive for me.

FRAMING DEPT. - This location is an absolute joke when it comes to framing services. Approx. two years ago, I took a project to them for custom framing. The project was a large labor intensive shadow box, without going into details the district manager pulled the project from this location and took it to Ahwatukee to be completed by their framer, Janice. Janice did an incredible job and Ive had four additional projects handled by her. She was the best framer in the valley.Recently, the Ahwatukee location closed down their frame shop. Having a new project, which was a straight forward project (custom frame, mat w/4 cut outs) I returned to this location on Tatum. they failed yet again. I made five separate trips. Trip 1: Their framer was off and asked I come back on a Monday. Trip 2: Returned on Monday to meet with framer and she had called off (I had an appt and they had my contact info. to update me and they failed). Trip 3: Met w/Framer and had a plan in place, materials ordered. Trip 4: Framer was gone and was asked to come back yet again. Trip 5: Had a new framer, materials backordered, no updates provided, no one had any idea what I was talking about. My project had a deadline that they assured me they could meet and they failed miserably yet again. I cancelled the project and went to Michaels on Camelback. They took all my materials, ordered the materials they needed. Michales promised two weeks and I had my project completed, accurate, and in hand in a week and a half. Moving forward, Michaels will have my business because JoAnns cant figure life out. Such a disappointing experience not once, but twice. When Ahwatukee location closed and they managed to lose their star framer (Janice) framing was over!

Worse Joannes Ive ever been to... Items are always broken, you can never find anybody in the store to help, and the line to check out theres usually only ever one cashier and it takes 30 minutes.

Beware sale prices do not register when rung up. It is a known problem but nothing is done to check or fix unless you recognize and request the fix. Sale not applied correctly when applied. Double check your receipts or even better, shop somewhere else.

If I could write 0 stars for this location I would. Ive been an avid shopper at joanns for the last 5 years. Ive spent over about $50,000+ for my Etsy store and have always recommended them. As of today that will all change.Over the past year this store has gone downhill tremendously. To start the store is usually always empty. The sales associates are nowhere to be found, and not very helpful. The shelves are bare and the store resembles the left overs of a thrift store. Most of their items are now marked down from the 200% markup they were usually at. Ive started looking for alternatives online because they have raised they rates a lot in the last year.Now to the illogical part: Ive been here numerous times without a face covering due to the fact that I have a medical condition. The girl who was working the front desk who I have seen many times told me I choose not to serve you due to not wearing a face mask. Yet the other cashiers at the time were perfectly fine with taking my money and knew I had a medical condition. Not sure if this is a top down thing or if this entitled millennial was on her high horse of pretending to be an authoritative figure. But after this experience and how I felt discriminated against I will no longer be going to this store or supporting anymore JOANN locations.

The store is called JOANN Fabrics and Crafts. I was tempted to give it three starts because of the limited selection of drawing supplies offered. The stores emphasis is fabric and crafts. So Im not going to knock for not offering a wider variety of items Im looking for drawing. The store is large and has wide aisles. Its easy to navigate. Check out can be a little slow at times. Thats just the nature of the beast sometime. I also like the store is located at a corner. You dont have to deal with pedestrian traffic when navigating the parking lot.

Very typical Joann, there is nothing special, but thats a good thing as you know what to expect. The employees were helpful and friendly, just really really slow. They have a great selection of fabric, and some nice crafty things. Make sure you always shop with a coupon, they usually have them.

Although I did a online order with Joann with a curbside pickup which was great. Joann Fabrics & Crafts does have a excellent supply of all types of different items in their store!

Pick up orders should be done a lot sooner then 24 hours and give a certain time I did not know it was going to take them 24 hours to pick 2 items I already paid for. Complete b.s. with Frys online I’m sure they get 4x the customers and will complete a full order of groceries within 2-3 hours.when I called the store to see how long it takes they said I could go pick the order myself and push it forward what the heck is the point of this option?

I always dread coming to this store because of the lack of customer service, and the problems I always have when checking out. Training must be a low priority

I love this place. Their fabric selection is amazing. I just wish they would have fair prices. I feel like the prices are inflated and then put on sale to make us think were getting a good deal. The merchandise is generally very good quality though.

Your people are great. My problem was your handicap parking. On the East side, the parking was close but the door is blocked. One has to walk around to the front door. HC parking on the main parking lot, we a long walk foe a person who has walking prlblems.

They have cheap quick kids crafts. Nothing else. Customer service is non existent. Order and pick up is a joke. The store is a mess. Hours are unknown. I’m much better with amazon. I’ve never seen such disorganization in a place where you need to be organized.

Found multiple shades of grey thread in stock. I finally got the right shade. Project is finished.

Has to be one of my most productive and money saving trips ever at Joanns. Tons and tons of clearance items with actual clearance prices. Store was clean, but there were several departments with little or no product; artist and craft paint was particularly empty.One thing I did not appreciate was the associate announcing the closure of the fabric department about 8 times in 30 min. It was constant making it distracting which impeded shopping. Other than that it was a good day. Oh and unlike my last two visits to this store, the crew members were quite friendly.

I’ve shopped at this store many times, only because it is convenient. The store used to be much better. It is always a complete disaster. Half opened boxes with items put away here and there. The fabric area is terrible, Bolts of fabric in plastic in the middle of isles sitting for weeks waiting to be put away. More fabric behind the cutting counter area just strewn about. Nothing is organized. I think the number system has been good, but the few people actually cutting the fabric are extremely rude. Every. Time. I am there quite a bit, but these last few times, I think I will go elsewhere. Angela is at the cutting counter along with another woman with a 3 letter name. I could not read her name tag. They were complaining about their jobs, etc. In front of customers! Then, they were BOTH rude to me, as well as others. In these times, anyone with a job should be grateful!!!!! Uncalled for! Customers don’t want to hear employees dirty laundry! Sadly, they are toxic to all, and reflect poorly on Joanne’s.

Staff is nice enough and selection is good, but plan to spend 30-40 min more than needed as it is corporate policy to understaff their store. Ive complained multiple times and am constantly told that they will not have more than 2 people at the cutting counter regardless of line length, and only 2 cashiers also regardless of line length. Im currently in a line 21 people deep. If I didnt disagree with Hobby Lobby so much, Id go there.

Its a good store but was dirty.

After waiting for someone to answer a question for 30 minutes I was told to google it. Decided to still purchase both the cricut products, grabbed the slip for both products, waited in line for 1 hour at checkout to be told both items I was purchasing was out of stock. I’ll go to hobby lobby where they do proper inventory and list items as out of stock on the shelf and the customer service isnt a bunch of unknowledgeable crab apples. Unacceptable. You lost my business.

Stood at the cutting counter for at least 10 mins No one even came by. Had to call store and ask them to send someone. When Mikey arrived she took her sweet time putting bolts away and then served the guy waiting who told her he picked up ticket numbers off the floor while we continued to wait despite being there first. Service was horrible. While cutting she was too busy talking with a co worker.

Great selection of fabrics. They even have headliner material. Ditch that sagging old headliner by simply recovering the failing one with new material AND glue from this great establishment. Google how to redo it and GET GOING ALREADY! No more head in the sagging old headliner!
