I have known the owner for some time through social media and have always admired his jewelry. When he opened his shop I was excited because the prices of his tools were very reasonable. I have always centered my craft around casting and not done much fabrication work but with the pandemic, my caster is closed and I started exploring other ways to make jewelry. I purchased a few stamps from Turquoise Mountain via his Instagram (@turquoisemountian_), one set led to another set and then a bead shot plate etc. This has opened up a whole new world for me and I am so happy to find a vendor with such great prices, this has allowed me to do what I hadnt thought I could do before! I am developing new styles and really excited about this new direction. You owe it to yourself to check him out, he is not only a talented jeweler but also stone cutter and versatile artist. During these tough times we have to support small business as they are the backbone of small families and clans. His tooling is all handmade and for me this is so special, its like the energy of shicheii right there in the studio with me!
