Ive always had trust issues with mechanics. The first time I went to AZ Auto Tech, I could tell they really did what they said they were going to do. I even got an estimate for some work on my vehicle a while back, and when I picked it up, the bill was less than expected. That never happens, but shows that they can be trusted and know what theyre doing. Most recently I got a quote from another shop for $3800 of repairs. I immediately took it to AZ Auto Tech and less than $300 later, my car was driving better than ever! I recommend AZ Auto Tech to everyone!

AZ Auto Tech recently (June 2021) replaced my A/C system and rebuilt the transmission on my 2006 Dodge Ram Cummins Diesel. David did a fantastic job on both and competed the work quickly. The transmission was rebuilt to the heavy-duty specs. we discussed and I am very pleased with how it now performs, especially pulling my 36 ft. 5th wheel. I highly recommend David and his team for all vehicle repairs and maintenance.AZ Auto Tech performed an outstanding installation/setup of a fuel lift pump/separator system, transmission service/adjustment, backup camera installation, and other maintenance on my 2006 Ram Cummins diesel. Runs superb and all work done on time and at reasonable price! Very pleased and will continue to take all my vehicles to David!

Had my Infinity serviced here, honest tech, great work! Showed him my warranty told him to find issues of $xx per category and that it would be covered. He didnt make anything up, completely fixed my issues for ~$600 when I had shown him I could cover thousands! Rare breed, highly recommend!!

Dave is hands-down the most honest & trustworthy mechanic I have ever met. It’s really hard to find a good mechanic and I’m blessed to live in the north valley and to have met him. He always tells me what needs fixed now and what might need fixed in the future. Never over-charges or does work that’s not necessary. I’ve previously been hesitant to bring my cars to any mechanic and have tried to do my own repairs (if I have time), but I am totally comfortable with bringing any of my vehicles to Dave. He’s always does excellent work on my 7.3 PowerStroke diesel, Ford Escape, little Scion, and old S-10 (everything from major to minor repairs - replace transmission / transfer case, suspension, A/C, engine work, electrical, etc) and has great recommendations/ references in order to make our cars last and run well. I ALWAYS recommend AZ Auto Tech.

David is the best automotive mechanic in the valley! His exceptional customer service skills, great prices, and fantastic work, makes a lifetime customer out of me! My 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 V8 4.7L, has been a pain in the butt for his shop. But they always get it done right, and she runs like a dream when I pick her up. I order a lot of my own parts and David quotes me very well for installation only. If I got a wrong part or size, he has always worked with me to get what I needed and at a fair price. He takes pride in his work, and makes sure that you and your vehicle have the best customer service experience ever. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AZ AUTO TECH FOR YOUR AUTOMOTIVE WORK. Mechanic shops are incredibly hard to find like this one. So it is in the best interest to provide them with a fluid customer base. They have integrity, loyalty and the upmost workmanship of any shop I have been to in recent years. From a former Army veteran and current Firefighter, thank you for taking care of my vehicle and being a great business!

I can’t recommend this shop. Definitely did not have a good experience here. Several things wrong with my car once I picked it up. I should have known when they handed me extra bolts and said they “didn’t know where these went” that there would be issues.... Immediately had to return for two obvious problems. Issues not so obvious that were discovered later were a horribly bad valve adjustment that thankfully doesn’t appear to have caused engine damage, a steady oil leak that has literally soaked my once clean engine compartment with months of oil, a disconnected engine knock sensor due to a broken wire harness clip and some rather rough running since the work was performed. The valves were all lashed to less than 0.005” on both intake and exhaust valves for cylinders #1,2,4, with #3 being the only close to spec adjustment verified at 0.007” and 0.010” (cold spec is 0.008 intake and 0.011” exhaust). I noticed two camshaft cap bolts were missing (two of the three leftovers) during the valve adjustment at 10,000 miles after the work was performed. The oil leak has cost two serpentine belts and multiple attempts at fixes including valve cover and VTEC solenoid gaskets. Ultimately discovered the shop left a bolt out of the timing cover at the VERY top of the timing cover which leaked a lot of oil throughout the engine compartment (thr final “unknown” bolt. There’s even oil coating the underside of the car a good halfway to the rear. What a mess.... The knock sensor retaining clip connector appears to have been simply snapped off with a screwdriver as there are clear witness marks indicating a screwdriver was used to pry the connector retainer off and will no longer stay connected on its own. It’s now wired in place with bale wire to keep it plugged in. Many of the electrical connector’s retaining clips were snapped off. Granted, the car is over 10 years old and those clips get brittle, but there are clear screwdriver marks on the clips indicating they were simply snapped off to facilitate removal. I’ve yet to break any myself.... Simple care could have prevented it IMO. You can certainly choose this shop if you like, but I will go elsewhere in the future.

Dave is as good as they come. First of all he worked my car in (engine light), diagnosed the problem and fixed it all the same day. He replaced a sensor for $116 that the dealer said was a $2200 timing chain repair. I know Im talking dealer service pricing but this is 95% savings not to mention the flexibility and customer service. What more can you say? He is worth the commute from anywhere in the Valley.
