The work is great but the service is slow. They need to pay attention to who is next in line and stop talking so much.

Excellent, knowledgeable workers. But here whatever you immediately need, theyll price match Amazon and Guitar Center. But youre typically going to get much better pricing and home delivery from Amazon, especially for things like guitar strings, guitar accessories & niche Chinese guitar pedals, Chinese made guitars, etc. But for high end pro audio, PA equipment & brass instruments alongside service-repairs, Sam Ash is a good corporate big co source if you need something immediately vs if you can wait via Amazon Prime, etc. This location has been there since the late 90s.

We recently bought a used Saxophone at the Sam Ash Music Store in Philadelphia for our high school daughter. Christina who waited on us in the store was AWESOME!! She was very helpful, answering all our questions. We feel she helped us find the instrument that was perfect for our budget while being of high quality. The Saxophone we purchased is in great shape, immaculately clean and works perfectly. Our daughter is completely satisfied with her new instrument.

Been there a few times over the past month. Met the person running strings, brass and woodwinds, Kristina. She’s quite knowledgeable, friendly and customer-centric. So much so, I bought the best trumpet in the shop with her help! Thanks Sam Ash! Loving my new axe!

We had a great experience at Sam Ash when we went to look at digital pianos. Ben helped us and was so patient and nice. He recommended a few different pianos, but wasnt at all pushy or just trying to sell us the most expensive one. He told me that he wanted his customers to be happy after they bought something and not regret it. So, overall, we were extremely happy and would definitely recommend Sam Ash to anyone!

Sam Ash just isnt what it usesd to be. This location was pretty bare bones and not very clean. They had a handful of used items at decent prices but theyve really gone downhill.

The clerk was very helpful and patient with me. He took extra time explaining to me the type of cords I would need to hookup the wireless microphone system I purchased. He very politely told me the type of cord I wanted didnt exist. He actually had to show me which end to put in the receiver. I believe I made a very good purchase. He even asked the manager if I could get any kind of discount since I was going to use the microphones at church; and I did. Very good experience.

Went with my son who has been playing guitar for 26 years, since he was 7.. He. plays just about any instrument now.. Bought him something for his new studio set-up. Everybody was very helpful and very nice. Thank you.. 🤘💯🎤🎛🎶🎸🎵💗😎

Sparce selection as of late. Also seems understaffed even though there arent many customers lately. If you arent a well known regular dont expect good service. My man Chris is the best though he does the repairs and stuff he gets 5 stars!

Went to update my entire pa system and Bobby was able to show me all my options, explain the difference in quality and price, and was able to answer all my questions. He even wheeled all my new speakers out to my car. 5/5

There is no way to leave them an email on message. You call their phone directory and it says they are open til 9. The website says 7. I was told they cant fix it. If they cant fix this, why should I trust them with my business.

I did not know what digital piano to buy and was directed in the right direction and the experience was quick and easy.

BOBBY WAS A MAZE ING!!!!!! He was working about 3 customers at the same time, and making sure everyone was attended too while he did it. I have been to every Sam Ash AND Guitar Center in the NJ/Philly area and have never received such great customer service. Not only was he pleasant, on point and professional, HE ACTUALLY KNEW.... SOMETHING. I have received nothing but S*** service at every store Ive been to in the past year, and Ive been spending my entire 401k on gear. I quit my job to pursue my music passion and Im trying to go a direction I dont know of anyone doing and I dont have much to go on other than trial and error. Im practically homeless at this point so finding deals is key, and I cant afford to get the wrong things. Bobby not only listened attentively to my needs, asked probing open ended questions, and added his own experiences, but he also went out of his way to find me the most cost effective, yet robust products the store had to offer. I cannot say enough about this, as it truly means A lot to me as Im on this journey by myself. I will only be shopping with Bobby at the Philadellphia Mills Sam Ash location. I will be recommending him to anyone and everyone I can, and in fact, I plan to go get new monitor speakers TODAY and Ill be looking to see him. Excellent example of how simple respect courtesy and a passion for what you do can make a difference. I am beyond grateful for his help and I will continue shopping at this Sam Ash!!!!

TouchMe here again with the straight to the point, no BS review. This store is great! The workers here are great and really helps their customers out. HUGE shoutout to Ben, I told him I was a new to acoustic guitar and guitar in general. Without any hesitation he swiftly answered all my questions and even offered to help me look for things that suited my style and taste. he also gave me tips on how to improve at guitar. This place is great for new and experienced players (I cant say for any other instrument besides acoustic guitar, but from what I seen they cover all aspects generally well) Over all a wonderful place to go. Ultimately, It was a very welcoming environment and the workers felt like a family there. I recommend this place to everyone and please dont be shy, they are more than willing to help!

Wonderful experience. I was very new to playing the saxophone and Gary was very patient and explained everything I needed along with giving me a decent amount of beginner tips. He made sure that I wouldnt overspend since my understanding of saxophones was limited. Overall, he went above and beyond and I would certainly buy from them again.

Great music store, super friendly staff, they go the extra step to help. The store has open mike night every Wednesday where anyone who wants to demonstrate their skills are welcome to step up. Which they do and entertaining they are too, some have pretty good skills too.

Sam Ash at Franklin Mills Mall. Jim had worked with me the entire time I bought my Epi Firebird, and then my Martin 00015M. Very pleasent, well educated on all guitars. Theres not enough good I can say about him and Sam Ash. 5 stars across the board!

You might can find a wire you dont need at this store. If youre lookin for something specific, this is not the place to look. A mess of a store that has virtually nothing to sell you.

I was looking to trade in a keyboard snd pick up a new one. The manager Rich was excellent in ordering my new gear and giving me a fair price on my trade. From start to finish I was very impressed with ordering to tracking when it would arrive and then the purchase. I am a Sam Ash customer for life!

I have been a life long customer at Sam ash. I went in a couple weeks ago to get some information on a DW collectors kit I saw on their website. Store was empty, and I asked the kid at the desk if someone could talk to me in the drums department he said “I don’t think so” I laughed then he said “actually yeah. I’ll get someone over there”. I walked over and looked at a groove percussion kit and old used cymbals for 15 minutes and all the things being said over the loudspeaker had nothing to do with sending someone to the drum department. I left and bought my collectors kit at guitar center. This place has gone downhill real fast.

I like this store, however, it seems that they are price gauging as of lately. A Taylor 114ce was on sale for 999.99 when at a different store a 214ce-K was the exact same price. Needless to say, I purchased the 214ce-K, which was fresh from the warehouse.

Love this place. I was shopping around for a fender telecaster and they were very helpful. I never was into fenders before and after working on one and playing around with it I fell in love with the tele-twang and decided I need to own one. To my surprise the are so many versions of a telecaster it was almost dizzying! So off to sam ash I went. Many, many times... each time, I tried out another tele looking for the sound I was looking for. In the end, what I would call my dream telecaster wasnt available at sam ash or any sam ash because it has a lot of modifications (which they dont sell off the shelf) but, they were very helpful in my search and encouraged me not to settle just because it was on a shelf in their store and to find exactly what Im listening for even if that meant somewhere else. I eventually bought my dream telecaster from another source but I did go back and purchase a really nice roland practice amp and some other accessories for my new baby. Andrew in particular was very helpful and deserves a shout out!. But dont you guys worry over at the Philadelphia Sam ash store.... Ill be back to buy yet another guitar soon. Im feeling an electric/ acoustic Gibson is next to be checked off my bucket list.... thanks guys.

I wanted to upgrade my Epiphone Les Paul pickups to Seymour Duncan pearly gates. I also needed a new switch and a neck adjustment. Sam Ash was on point! I was almost about to give up on this guitar. After having the pickups installed here and a few tweaks, my guitar sounds light years better. Highly recommended!

Ive always had a good experience here, Ive bought an instrument and amp or two here. The salespeople are friendly without being in your face. They have a sign that says they buy instruments and take them on trade, and that they have pay the best prices. However, they recently offered me less than half the going used price for a bass. I understand the market, and I understand they need a profit. But, do you need to triple your money doing nothing other than slapping a price tag on it and hanging it up when I walk out the door? A little give and take goes far for customer loyalty.

They have good products for adults and childrens.

Inventory levels have diminished and a lot of the instruments are cost prohibitive for intermediate players looking to upgrade.

Just finished paying off my ES-339 from here. These guys are fantastic! Bill really accommodated my needs throughout the whole process. Even when it got busy, Bill worked super hard to make sure everyone was happy. Keith was great as well. He was really knowledgeable with amps and guitars. Overall, it was just a really careful and down to earth experience buying from Sam Ash. They dont just have the family owned moniker for marketing. They actually back it up with a personalized experience and I really appreciate that. Youve got a customer for life!

Awesome time playing ukuleles. The salesman knew everything about them. I bought a Córdoba. It keeps pitch perfectly and sounds great recording. It was good they had so many to choose from so I knew I was buying the right one. It was only $10 cheaper online so I know I wasn’t being ripped off.

The clerks are friendly and knowledgeable. The store it self did not have what I wanted and it is not supplied very well. The bass string were very limited as were their basses, I guess because its in a mall and not very big it is this way, but like I said the clerks are friendly and they are very knowledgeable. The techs are good too.

Always helpful. They treat you well. It can get busy there.. (Thats good because everyone wants to talk to them so be patient!)
