Jim cleaned the pots, checked the tubes, checked the cab and installed a tube shield on my Peavey Classic 30. He topped it off with a power check on the amplifier, 25 watts and a brief demo with his Telecaster. Hes your man for tube amplifiers.

Got a 68 Fender Showman Reverb from my dad that had some modifications done to it years ago. Saw the reviews here and brought it to Jim without hesitation. Told him Id like it to be restored to its original 68 specs. I couldnt be more happy with the way it sounds now. Clean, crisp, clear, and quiet. The reverb and tremelo sounds better than ever. Jim has been doing this for 40 years, is a wealth of knowledge, and a master technician that I could have talked to for hours. Will be dropping off my Deluxe Reverb next! Thanks Jim.

I bought a fender deluxe reverb amplifier from Sweetwater two years ago. The amp never worked right on the vibrato side. I used the normal side for two years until the amp started blowing the fuse. I decided to have this amp repaired and looked for an amp repair shop in Philadelphia. I found Jims shop on line and decided to use his services. I was very pleased with the results my amplifier now works better than I could have ever hoped for. I now use the reverb side. Thanks Jim great Job. Bob Keller

Jim Walton is a MASTER Tech. He clearly enjoys his work and is well knowledgeable regarding his trade. Jim W. transformed my Fender Twin II from something that had plenty hum and noise and a weak signal output to an amp that is quiet when idling and sings when a guitar is playing thru its speakers. Brought it back to life 100%! The 35-yr old amp sounds brand new, no compromises at all.If he is backed up w/repairs just get in line, the wait will be worth it. And his prices are absolutely more than fair.

Jim is an amp wizard working in the coolest old skool basement workshop in Northeast Philly. Listening to him explain the details of his craft is like drinking from a fire hose... incredible knowledge and experience. His passion for all things amp is impossible to miss. He repaired my Engl Powerball ii head unit. He had troubleshot to the issue and contacted Engl in Germany for specifics. To their well-deserved credit, Engl responded back with detailed instructions on resolving the issue. Jims clean and thorough work included cleaning all pots, preamp section repair work and retube, and a circuit safety mod. The amp now works wonderfully. Jims prices are more than fair and his current turnaround time of 3 to 4 weeks is also reasonable. Highly recommended. Jim is now my amp guy.
