I go in there for one thing mainly. But I just love the staff. Angel, he’s great. The female surety guard with the braids - love her. I love the entire staff. They’re very helpful, they are SUPER kind to my crazy, lovable, energetic puppy, Moana! Even when she had an accident in there once - the staff was nice, and when I offered to clean myself, they helped. Sweet staff - and for that reason this is the only W&S my boyfriend & I will go to.

The wine was fine. The Spirits werent great, but Id say good.

Decent liquor selection but wine is lacking on the shelves but they get a decent amount of Chairmen’s and President Selection specials that typically are heavily discounted and worth perusing. The General Manager is a nice guy and all the staff has been friendly

Very low key and never crowded. The staff is pleasant and personable. Its not as big as the other state stores in the city but for what the store lacks in variety they compensate with the quality of their selections and your experience while being in the store.

They sometimes have a great selection of alcohol 🍸

I understand why business have security to keep theft down. I get that. Twice now i done went in here. And i could be deciding on what i want or waiting on a text me to tell me what they person want. I am not in the store ten seconds and this white security guard is no where near me when i come in. But let.me.be looking he is following me. Their security needs to be retrain to know how to properly watch a store. Not just watch the black person that just come in

Its a small store, so they cant help the limitations on selection. They also cant help Pensylvanias ridiculous tax on alcohol, which keeps prices high. (If you dont like it, pick up the damned phone and complain to your elected representatives). All that said, the staff and management in this outlet is GREAT. They truly serve our neighborhood. Thank you!

I made a mistake with the bottle I chose. Got to the car and realized that I had the wrong bottle. I tried to exchange it for the one that I wanted, and they told me no. Damm!!

While this location isnt as large as the Market, I still prefer coming here because of the friendly staff. The staff at the Market location is nowhere near as friendly. This place feels more like a friendly local neighborhood liquor stop. Always an easy experience.

Great location and staff on South Street. Pricing is the same as usual for the state controlled institution but cant complain given the location!

This local spot at 2439 South St. is well-stocked with premium wine & liquor items and the staff and management are friendly and very helpful. They also have robust “Chairman’s Select” items which is Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s selection of wines not always offered ranging from highly affordable at ~$10 or less to very premium at ~$50 or more.

I give them three star because they lying about the time they close they said they close at 10 and they close at 9:40 thats not fair and ways of my time in my customer last night

I was surprised I found parking near. The staff was friendly and held the door for me so I could get the stroller in. Quite a good selection for a smallish store.

Wine selection is ok, Whiskey is better. Good local supplier, however there are some important spirits missing from their shelves.

Descent selection, not as good as a “premium” shop. All PA liquor and wine prices are too high, comparatively speaking. Staff is sometimes friendly, depending on who you try and talk to... I’ve never had anyone offer to help me here.

Its fine for basics nothing special there are bigger stores with a better selection but its close and not super busy. Staff is friendly.

Friendly manager and staff at this location, their upbeat greeting makes me smile when I walk in. Well organized and wide selection. In general, Wine and Spirits doesnt unreasonably exploit its monopoly on the liquor market in PA and offers reasonable prices and good variety.

I will never visit this hotel ever again and will not recommend anyone stay there. The staff was unprofessional and suspect. The pic on the site was deceiving. The first room I stayed in for approx. 4 hrs was disgusting, the tub was stained with dirt, the walls were dirty, the halls had a foul odor, after sitting in the bed I started itching, the hot water wasnt working, they were doing construction/repairs as people were arriving. The noise from the construction/repairs was disturbing me while I slept. Awful place, awful staff, just awful all around. I wouldnt even allow my dog to stay there. The manager was MIA and when we would ask to speak with her she was always in meetings. Im also going to report this hotel to the BBB. Unacceptable conditions.

This liquor store offers the convenience of buying wine/spirits just a block away from a grocery store. In PA, thats not easily accomplished.

Lack of sympathy. Youth I took for a run needed to use bathroom really bad and workers refused to let her use the bathroom.
