It has been many years since I have been to the shop. The last time was in an old location. It was definitely worth the trip, traffic, finding parking, to go. (And that part wasn’t that bad). The store is my idea of needlepoint heaven! It is enormous, more threads than I knew existed and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Next time I will hang out longer!

Great little shop if you need thread. There is so much of it. I felt like I was in stitcher heaven. But there were few selections for fabric and other stitching notions. I would have liked to see some hand dyed fabrics and broader selection of needles, finishing hoops and scissors. But if you need a thread and you need it now, these guys probably have it.

I love this place. Very friendly atmosphere. Staff have always been ready to help with any questions. Huge selection of embroidery floss. I also appreciate that they are offering shopping by appointment during the pandemic. When I emailed for an appointment, they got back to me very promptly. Not only did they confirm that they carried what I needed, they had it waiting for me behind the counter when I arrived.

Looking for thread the selection is the best I have ever seen

I made an order online. I tried to pay for the order five times, but the order was canceled for some reason. The my credit card was charged five funds per purchase. In my account the order did not go trough and was canceled by the site. I wrote a e-mail, but they dont answer me. I still hope that the money will be returned to me. Or have I been deceived?

This is the finest and most complete needlework store in the country. Russell Stephen, and staff have a unique and infectious warmth which translates immediately.Their creativity knows no bounds but they dont take your credit card for a ride.Solid, friendly, thoughtful, exuberant - my favorite place.

I love love love this store! Their finishing is quick, within four weeks and beautifully done. Caitlin, their inhouse painter, is a doll to work with and so talented. She painted a night before xmas stocking for me last year from a X-stitch piece that I saw . We were able to change it to make it our own masterpiece. Every always gotten the help or answers Ive needed whenever Ive called . I hope to visit the store in person this fall. If I love the store from this far away, I can only imagine how Ill feel when I actually visit it!

This is one of only two I could literally live in if they let me.Their selection is vast and varied; and if for some reason nothing suits you, dont worry. Their in-house artist can create any vision you have, including, but not limited to, a scary accurate rendition of your favorite pet.You can work in a endless array of fibers, and advice is everywhere, if you ask. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome; no one is in a hurry to make the deal and escort you out. Quite the contrary. They want you to stay and enjoy their shop.Rittenhouse Needlepoint is again, one of only two finishers I allow to touch my projects. Their work is impeccable. Also in-house. They promise 4 weeks to finish, and they mean it. You can dictate exactly what you want, or leave it to them and you will be guaranteed a beautiful product. At any price point. I happen to specialize in pillows, and Ive done simple to ornate; each one is unique and exquisitely detailed.In short, I LOVE this shop and these people!! They get everything right!!

Though they have a great selection of supplies, their kits and patterns are EXTREMELY overpriced, and they try to sell you on these pretty aggressively. I’d return for supplies but not patterns.
