This CVS is located in Old City and conveniently located. However, the store isn’t fully stocked in most departments. There are a lot of empty shelves. It is in need of a cleaning. I asked for assistance from a young, male employee, what I got was blown off by him. He was unprofessional and rude. There were items without pricing. That’s a problem. The store was being painted and there were workers and their materials everywhere. It also smelled like paint. Not a good shopping experience.
There’s a reason why this particular CVS is rated 3 stars. They open late frequently, the shelves are never stocked, and half the employees are texting on their phones. The store manager lacks social skills, and won’t say hi unless you say hi first, but the other manager, male (curly hair), is super helpful and always says hi. I think their chain of commands is backwards. 5 stars for the pharmacy though.
I am giving this CVS location 5 stars for the pharmacy ONLY. The pharmacists and other pharmacy staff are excellent- highly professional, very caring, and knowledgeable. My standards for pharmacists are high because, after all, they are dispensing medication! I trust the pharmacy staff at this location.
This store does not open on time. Dont set a time if your not going to be open at that time.
Pharmacy staff is great…! Attentive, competent, detailed and caring
This cvs is terrible. If you can help it, go to any other cvs in the city. I used to do 2nd and Lombard but switched here and plan to go back after my most recent scripts are filled. There is also one at 5th and pine. The people who work there are extremely rude / the security guards when you walk in do nothing / the pharmacists are nice but seems overworked or something.
This CVS never opens on time. Their hours say they open at 7AM during the week, but you are lucky if they are actually open before 7:30AM. I have tried to go here multiple times in the morning before work and they are never open. If your hours say you are open at 7AM it doesnt mean show up for work at 7 it means open the doors for customers at 7.
Very convenient and good service. The same guy gives us the flu shot every year here and hes very friendly and professional.
5 Stars for the Pharmacist Eric.I bought my step daughters friend in for a J&J Vaccine. Since she was from Brazil, he took the extra time to find out how to process her case without US Data.
Really convenient location with typical pharmacy store stuff. A lot of the toiletries are locked behind glass that has to be opened, but I guess thats just because theres a lot of theft.
This CVS at 3rd. St. & Market are a HORRIBLE system, they dont listen when you say to close your account. CALL THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE! You suck!! And favoritism is not welcomed!!
Friendly kind and caring employees. I was helped at register by Ashley and she was a total helpful sweetheart. They have great deals and a broad range of Philadelphia souvenirs. Great selections of snacks and just overall a great experience visiting Philadelphia from DC!
I just came here to get a moneygram and they told me what they don’t have money, disgusting!
Your typical CVS. You run in and out, you pay for the convenience of it and you deal with associates who dont really want to be at work. What would one truly expect from a CVS?
These guys lost my photos and no one s even trained in how to manage the photo center. horrible training and service.
This was my ride or die CVS when I was house sitting in Philly. It got me through some hard times. CVSs reward program is amazing. The prices are a bit high regularly, but I only go in when I have a coupon or I know something is on sale.
Amazing. Very clean. Pharmacists are so nice, ESPECIALLY SAM, he is the man. Literally the only pharmacy Ive ever been to where the pharmacists are generally very pleasant and seem to want to be helpful.
A comprehensive drug store with grocery in a congested high priced area of the city is a good thing for the area. Its newly updated feeling, large inventory and space, reasonable prices and even special sales on certain grocery items, I think the place is great. I like the automatic entry doors that arent often seen in the city.
This CVS needs a revamp. The store feels old and grungy and can sometimes have an interesting smell to it. The staff are either hit or miss and the lighting is very dark and gloomy. Recommended to try one of the other CVS in the area, and if you have a car, head to the one by Whole Foods!
Nina is rude and the cashier Alex even worst. Very poor customer service. Corporate needs to hire people with better attitudes. I dont understand why employees think its okay to shuffle a customer;meaning that am standing there and everyone wants to do something else than check me out of the store.
This is a clean and well stocked CVS. The only problems I have there (and I am there regularly and these are ongoing) have to do with staff. They are not particularly friendly - even by City standards - and they are content to let lines build up without manning the cash registers. One cashier tonight walked away from the registers just as there were 5 or 6 people in line. We had to wait for a second cashier to get there, when the one who walked away could have helped move the lone along. I dont have prescriptions filled there, so I have no comment on the pharmacy staff.
Customer service experience with store manager was horrendous. Completely unwilling to speak about an order that couldn’t be filled but had been assured the night prior. Extremely disappointed.
Most of the staff are great, especially the pharmacy but the store really needs a manager who isnt rude and obnoxious.
This CVS location should be used as an example for the mean people at the Clarks Summit CVS in PA. Shoutout to Matt for being so professional and kind when I called the pharmacy on 3rd and market (unlike my experience at Clarks Summit). He helped me patiently and even called me back with an update!!! I really appreciated that and don’t feel like supporting the Clarks Summit location any more. I will make sure to go to Rite Aid when I am home and never have prescriptions filled in Clarks Summit. At least until they learn how to properly train their staff in customer service and basic kindness. I’ve never had an issue at my Philly CVS and the staff is always so kind, it shows what good service should be about and reveals what the Clarks Summit location is serverly lacking.
Store claim 7am I told werent open till 8am. Maybe yall change the signs on the window
Pharmacy was very nice a mmm d efficient
Old bald male cashier working 7pm on jan. 19th was rude and didnt bother trying to help me. I asked to load an uber card with less than 15$ which was the low price listed. I have loaded the same card with 10$ at a Walgreens and 7/11 and this man didnt bother even trying. All I got was the limits 15 he didnt even touch the computer. I doubt CVS has different capabilities than their competitors in this regard, nothing against the company at all. However this employee should treat customers with a little more respect. Wont be stopping by the CVS on Market St for some time.
Well stocked. Friendly pharmacy
Warren was exceedingly helpful. Give this man a raise!
Slow, rude.
