Poor Service very rude to my wife it’s sad how that little shop also need cops to sit inside I guess cause of the employees attitude they don’t wanna see that lil old white lady hurt. They could do better and keep up with there inventory.

Funny they check my temperature when most employees aren’t even wearing a mask. Old office, equipment wasn’t working properly and they kept having to troubleshoot it

Ive been going to americas best for 7 years and they always mess up my prescription and rip me off big time so I decided to take the advice of may friends and check out eyeglass encounters. With minimal insurance at eyeglass encounters, my eye exam was paid for. That was THE MOST comprehensive eye exam Ive had in my entire life and Im about to be 31. I cant remember the doctors name but she was sweet and told me more about my eyes than any doctor ever before. I didnt feel rushed and felt she really wanted to help me find the perfect lens unlike others in the past that rushed me. They have great frames and i paid 80 bucks for 2 pairs. They came back in less than a week. I will be back THANK YOU SO MUCH!note: this place is TINY! but thats ok!

Overall I am very satisfied with my visit. My eye exam was thorough and the doc explained everything to me. Good selection of eyeglasses. Prices are pretty good considering you are in Center City! I’ll definitely return next year. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Tells u anything to get your business even if its a lie, tells you a time frame for receiving your order only to find the time frame is completely wrong. Bad Management!!

They were fast and efficient!! An employee named Richie helped me pick out amazing new pairs of lenses for my sunglasses and glasses and the prescription came out amazing. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this eye encounters for years and I receive excellent service. And the Drs are great. I love the selection of frames and the staff tell you about all your options. I even took my daughter and a few coworkers who had a wonderful experience there. Plus they help me with my difficult insurance the staff handled all the communication with them.

The staff at Eye Encounters is the best! My husband and I have been going to them for about 10 years now and always have a great experience. Kathy and Betty always give us the best deals possible, honest opinions on how the glasses look on your face and do not hesitate to suggest that we look at another store if we dont find something we like. Love these ladies- I will never go to another eyeglass store.

This place is awesome. Prices and choices are great for people without eye insurance. Even though it is a very busy store, each employee that I dealt with gave me their complete attention and were extremely friendly/helpful.

The staff is nice and they have a descent selection. However, they constantly seem overwhelmed which leads to mistakes. For me, they mistakenly gave me a contact lens fitting and then charged me for it, even though I didnt want it.When I asked for a refund, saying that it was probably an innocent mistake, their response was that We dont make mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes - just admit it and have a happy customer.

The staff is excellent. Michelle takes care of me everytime. She is very professional and courteous. I will definitely recommend Eye Encounters to anybody. Two thumbs up.

A wholly unprofessional quack operation.I saw two of their eye doctors. Each spent, with no exaggeration, just 5 minutes measuring my prescription. Each came out with totally different numbers and had no bedside manner whatsoever.The reception staff is lackluster and unprofessional. One woman, Betty, should be fired for her aggressive behavior toward customers. The other staff lost my original prescription and didnt take the inconvenience seriously (read: laughed it off). I watched them all handle merchandise very casually and without care frequently (read: throwing things around).The glasses frames are all cheap and unclean (smudgy and greasy).If you dont care about service, products, or getting a trustworthy prescription, this is the place for you.

Very happy with this place! Prompt appointments and knowledgeable staff. The place is small though, and if 5 people come in at one time it seems crowded. Ask for an early appointment if youre claustrophobic. There are no stairs so they dont need a wheelchair ramp. Yes, theres a bathroom; because the offices are small they prefer that you dont go #2 in there. Theres actually a sign saying as much, lol. Theres no facility for changing babies--if you need that, you could go across the street to Macys or further up the street to the Marriott Hotel.

They are friendly and ther service was great. The time it took for me to get my glasses was quick.

In February, I bought new frames there. Almost three weeks ago, the spring in one arm gave out. I brought the frames in and asked if they could be repaired. I was told we can replace them one time for you, free of charge with an implication I was too hard on these glasses - never mind that this was first time Id had an experience like that. I was also told the new frames would be in a few days later. I followed up more than once, each politely. Today I was told that the frames finally came in yesterday, but since they read the partly-worn number off the frame (as opposed to checking their own records?) they got in the wrong frame. I was also told theyll rush in right frame, hopefully Tuesday, no guarantees.I dont know if its the store or the supplier who is at fault but I am furious.

I walked over to this establishment from work in the bitter cold today because I desperately needed an adjustment on my Izod glasses. Id gone to the store where I initially bought them for an adjustment a couple of days prior but they still werent correct. So because they were sliding all over my face, I couldnt wear them like that another day. Based on the suggestion of my boss, I went to Eye Encounters for an adjustment. The gentleman (I didnt get his name) who helped me was prompt to help me, courteous and very efficient. He adjusted my eye wear 2-3 times and Im telling you, this is the best adjustment that Ive ever had & Ive been wearing glasses since I was 9 years old.... Im now 51. Thank you Sir for your help... Oh and by the way, we shared a joke about how much it cost $$$. A lot of places charge to make adjustments...Hmmmm.

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! They have three locations 13th market 19th chestnut and 40th chestnut.. I made appointment for 19th street location, for my husband and after calling to comfirm his appointment yesterday 01/23/2018 it disappeared today 01/24/2018.. Very unorganized. Please dont waiste your time with this company.. They could careless about your vision or your time.. No apology giving.. No RESPECT FOR THERE CLINETS!!! They employees are rude hasty fast talkers.. Who are more concerned on receiving a pay check then actually helping others.. I will never give them my business again..

I ordered two pairs of glasses for my kids and then 30 minutes later they told me on the phone to pay$60 dls more, why they didnt say to me face to face when I was in the store. I ll do my bussines someplace else alot of place to buy glasses in philly.

They dont deserve no stars frfr smh the first time I went to this place they were cool 😎 but this second time was a complete disaster Ive been calling them 3 months to see if they had my glasses and theyve given me all these bogus ass excuses as to why the glasses never came!! Then try to blame my insurance company and lie saying they didnt come because of the frames being messed up! so I called them this morning and they got down to the bottom of it March Vision did get their order and March Vision sent them confirmation of the order and they shipped out my glasses on May 4th but the woman never called me to let me know they were shipped out nor did she follow up with the order smh!!! She was just being a lazy ass and didnt wanna do her job!!! Im soooii done with them they wont be using my business again!!!

I’ve been going to Eyeglass Encounters for years and always leave as a happy customer. A couple of years ago, I had some medical issues that made wearing contact lenses uncomfortable. The staff at EE at 1325 Market Street in Philadelphia (Kathleen, in particular) was extremely helpful and exceedingly patient with me over a several week period until I found a contact lens brand that was comfortable. I returned to EE for my annual exam, contact lenses, and eyeglasses a few days ago. Although I normally only wear eyeglasses at home, the staff (Mischelle, in particular) was once again extremely helpful and exceedingly patient with me while I tried on what felt like every pair of frames available (sometimes the same frames three and four times!) until we found frames that I’d be confident wearing at home or outside. Mischelle also made sure I received the best price for all of my purchases, which weren’t fully covered by insurance. I highly recommend Eyeglass Encounters at 1325 Market Street in Philadelphia for insured and uninsured patients, as their prices are more than reasonable. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Thanks so much, Mischelle, Kathleen, Ray, and Dr. Vu for all that you do and helping me to see and be seen with confidence!

Very rude, and unprofessional came in to make an appointment which I stood there for about 20 minutes before anyone decided to even say hello oh and they never put me in the system if you have time to waste I would advise you to go here otherwise spend ya dollars somewhere that’s worth it.
