Omg! This place has the BEST chocolate croissants I have ever had! I love chocolate! In fact, I am a chocoholic, but I do believe chocolate has its place, and I usually dont care for mixing chocolate and regular bread products. However, the chocolate in these croissants was such good quality, and it blended perfectly with the type of croissant dough used. Also, the drinks here are outstanding! My husband ordered a cold coffee drink, and I ordered a black iced tea. Both were very good. It is just a tiny little store (right across the street from the Betsy Ross house), hardly noticeable but excellent! I highly recommend it!

I dont have much to say but I will say that the man working the day I was here was very friendly and that the macarons were fantastic. Took them to go and drove back to the Poconos before even sampling and they were simply incredible. Had a sampler of 8 different ones and Id get each one again (although the pistachio was my favorite), hard not to give this place 5 stars.I got a little artsy with their photos too haha

Chocolate kouign amann was my favorite. The pastry had a perfect caramelized crust and was perfectly flaky. The chocolate was such a good addition. Yum! My husband liked the butter croissant so much we went back for a second one the next day.Now to the macaroons.. so truly good. The cookie was perfect and the fillings were just right and full of flavor. I had the dark chocolate one and then the almond one day 2. Hubby had the peanut butter chocolate one & a dark chocolate one (we shared so we each had all 4) they were so good. Enjoy supporting another small business owner. My only suggestion for improvement would be to be open more days/hours for your customers.

My wife and I love this place! And our kiddos always get excited when they see pastries from ICI on the table. Everything they make is beautiful, delicate, and fabulous! A wonderful gem in the city of Philadelphia. Only problem is not being able to get there early enough in the day as they regularly sell out of items, so try to get your order in early, so worth it!

The Macarons are mediocre compared to ones from laduree or even trader Joes, but the real star is the Kougin Amann which Is absolutely divine, a must try. Its a candied croissant type cake. I was understandably embarrassed with my pronounciation, so I suggest you spell it out when ordering.

Ici Macarons & Café has only been around for a few years, but from the start they have excelled at offering high quality French cookies and pastries and locally roasted coffee. While they have a strong assortment of treats, I’d suggest you come here for their macarons. Their passion and dedication to macarons is evident as soon as you walk through the doors. The glass display cases highlight the wide array of macarons available. I believe there are around 25-30 different colorful flavors (even ones like salted caramel, passion fruit, and lemon lavender). I was very impressed with the quality. I’ve even head that will create custom colors, if you so desire. So, indulge your taste buds with a few of your favorites or some new ones and enjoy the cozy café setting.

Stop whatever you’re doing and go to the ICI Macarons & Cafe. Order the almond croissant and the Boston Cream cruffin. Then kindly drop it off at my house (kidding?). Seriously though, this place has some major “best pastry ever” contenders. I love visiting here on a Saturday morning; it feels like you’re vacationing in your own city with the “treat yourself” mindset.

Cute little store, they have the register up by the door and the items available have labels at the window on the left so you can see what they have before you order unlike some bakeries in the city during this pandemic. We enjoyed the kouign amann and what I think was lemon meringue something pastry. Both were good and I will definitely return for the macarons soon.

We were blown away by the pastries at this place! Just across the street from the Betsy Ross house. It’s a can’t miss! Didn’t try a macaron but did try four items from the top shelves and the lemon curd pastry was absolutely phenomenal as were the s’mores one and the others. Just happened to stop here waiting for the wife at the national coffee chain on the corner before we went into TBRH.

Excellent coffee, croissants, and pan au chocolat. Chai was really good too (they said its made in-house, not from a commercial pre-mix) although I found it very mild for my taste (I just personally prefer a stronger, spicier masala chai). I had a reservation for two on a friday night, at 6PM. We got seated promptly and there is a QR code to scan for the menu. We ordered lobster croquettes, salsiccia pizza (wood-roasted fennel, san marzano tomatoes, mozzarella, house-made garlic sausage, basil, parmesan), and caciocavallo stuffed meatballs. I really enjoyed the lobster croquettes, as it was very creamy inside. The gnocchi was delicious as well, although I am not a huge pasta fan. I do wish the pizza was less burnt and more crispier on the bottom. I have read some reviews saying the exact same thing -- that would be my only critique. The meatballs were way bigger than expected but was very tasty and filling. In all, we left extremely full and the prices were very reasonable for dinner. The staff was also friendly and the food came out at a good pace. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very busy and lively, as it is right in the center of the city.

I found this cafe while on my way to another cafe. Although I do not remember the name of the pastry I ate, I do recall it was similar in size and shape of a muffin, had a caramelized exterior and an apple filling. I also had a cafe au lait, a la Americano, which was also quite good. No one can enter the establishment, at the time of this review, but one can either order at the window, or order ahead. All staff members were wearing face masks, and often sanitized their hands (yes, I lost count). There were outdoor tables, as well, which is an option for the next time I visit Philadelphia.

Stumbled across ICI by chance - we were delivering wedding flowers in the city and had lots of time to kill in between venues... Absolutely FABULOUS! As a foodie, I can appreciate a true macaron - but at these prices - its like theyre giving them away!! Incredible!! Beautiful and delicious!! The coffee and espresso are well made and the owner even waited on us!! Friendly, clean, perfectly presented - everything you could want from a quaint shop in the heart of Philadelphia.
