The espresso was extremely noteworthy, and the staff was nearly as amazing. In addition to the fact that they sell incredible espresso and cakes, however they additionally offer extraordinary offices. This coffeehouse is most certainly worth a visit as a result of its wonderful air and an extraordinary assortment of baristas who will make your espresso more interesting. Im certain Ill propose this bistro to anybody! All here is awesome!
I dont know if it was the time of day I went or what, but that staff seemed really depressed! I felt like they could have used a bit of caffeine for themselves! The cappucino was really good, but that Tahini Shakerato was nasty! I dont know if its cause im used to having tahini with my shawarma or what, but it was overpowering the entire drink by far. The atmosphere in the shop was pretty down as well. Again - not sure if I came at the wrong time or what, but I would not come back again.
Really good coffee. There is seating inside but not a lot. Good area to read and relax.
Stopped in while walking by on a very hot day. I got an unsweetened iced tea to cool off a bit. It had a nice flavor and tasted fresh. I would stop by again for the iced tea. Hopefully, I can make it there early enough one day for the Japanese style cold brew!
Great coffee. One of the best decaf americanos Ive had: they do not burn the espresso beans, which is sadly uncommon.Their baked goods are great too, especially the croissants and pain chocolat.
If you know Elixr you know that they do coffee better than anyone in the city. Their customer service is superb as well. I stopped by today well after they closed (didnt know they were closed). The guy there was more than happy to sell me some beans and took his time explaining the different offerings they had. Great neighborhood spot that really cares.
Elixr is the best coffee Ive found in Philly. This is my second trip and both times Ive made this my daily morning visit. Great coffee and good atmosphere.
Pretty cool coffee shop serving the usual combinations of hot or cold coffee. I got the Kyoto slow drip cold coffee and it was delicious !!! The also have a selection of pastries and sandwiches that looked delectable. This location is split level with plenty of chairs table and lounge like seating. It is on a quiet-ish street off Walnut and one can easily miss it. Prices are competitive compared to other coffee shops in the neighborhood.I would definitely recommend.
BEST COFFEE SHOP IN CENTER CITY!! The staff is well trained and hard working, pouring so much passion into making the perfect drink every time! Its a great atmosphere with open space so even when theyre busy it never feels to crowded!! This shop is the perfect example of good people using good products to make a good safe space for people to feel at home. Check it out if you get a chance, you will NOT be disappointed!!
Great pour over options and a simple refill was cheap and delicious. The great part of this place is how comfortable and peaceful it is. Its a great place to just hang out and be for a little bit. The place is always bustling but not in a distracting way. Great spot to catch your breath and get a good cup of coffee.
This coffee spot is hands-down my favorite in the Philadelphia area The coffee is amazing and so is the service
Amazing coffee, great bean selection and awesome staff!Visiting Philly for a few days, I found this through the Beanhunter app, Elixr is listed as the top in Philly... And now I see why!Great bean selection, knowledgeable and fun staff - in a seriously cool little spot. Ill definitely be back before I leave.100% you need to visit if youre serious about your coffee!
I started going to Elixr when it was in a tiny space just off of Rittenhouse. The current space has a wonderful industrial, shabby chic feel that is less sterile and more communal. That being said if the space were larger that would be terrific since this place is always hopping. Why not since their coffee whether or over or espresso based are terrific and the tea is also high quality. Nice selection of pastries as well. Always a good place for reading, chatting or taking a rest while in Center City.
Sadly, they can’t make a good cappuccino. The ones we ordered barely had any foams on top. When I tried to address this issue they just replied that’s how we make it. Customer service 👎🏻
This is a classic hip coffee place in cool surrounding with an appropriately distressed ambience. It buzzes with people and although there is a touch of worship-the-laptop the predominant feel is lively. The croissants are great and regular cappuccino very good. It has ruined things for me, however, by dropping soy. I won’t be going back.
Coffee is good. Their wifi is awful--useless. Dont do any serious work that involves internet here.
Amazing cheap drip coffee, Kyoto iced was delicious, and vegan doughnuts. Fast nice service.
Is it fair for me to leave a review even though Im not a coffee drinker? I have no idea how good the coffee is here, but the chai tea latte was pretty good. The staff was super cool and they have a touchpad to order setup. You order then wait for you name to be called. Its pretty quick and seamless.
This place is the perfect coffee spot. Cool space with lots of great touches like power strips for sitting and working, comfortable nooks for reading and pleasant aesthetics. The coffee is fabulous and the pastries are super good. Take your time to sit down and relax because that is what this space was clearly designed for.
The most original pain au chocolat Ive ever had in Philly. It tastes and looks like what youd get in France. They get them from Au Fournil.
Never really bought into the whole tasting coffee thing until i started going here. get yourself a grinder, get some beans, and get after it. the flavors of their roasts will blow you awaybiggest chocolate chip cookie ive ever eaten.
Great tasting coffee and an adorable atmosphere. This coffee shop is decorated so gracefully and it is a beautiful space to drink coffee and work, study, or catch up with a friend! It is not very small but it fills up fast so it can be hard to find seating sometimes. They offer oat milk to substitute milk and it brings a delicious nutty flavour to the coffee.
Great coffee! I always get a drink along with a bag of beans for the house. They know what they are doing there. Their seasonal drinks are also amazing-- always a great and unexpected mix of flavors.
I love their lattes! I bought a grinder just for their beans.. & I also cannot wait until you get food options back in!
I have been here before and enjoyed it but my latest experience not so much. Before going I saw they had a 3 bags of coffee for $45 special on the website. I asked the server about it when I went in and he said they were not doing that anymore and that it was just a winter thing. ... Its early March and still winter and I said its still on your site. I still bought two bags of coffee and a latte. I paid full price for everything. As I waited the next person came in and friendly help about the coffee and how the check out process worked. they then they were offered a free coffee for their bag purchase.
Vegan donuts and great coffee. Friendly staff who answered a bunch of questions.
Best oat milk latte in the city!
Amazing coffee shop. There is enough space for everyone, you can sit outside by the tree and read. The food is great and drinks as well. Love, love, love this place! They offer fun seasonal lattes that are delicious and the outdoor patio is a great space to work or relax with friends. This is a new regular spot for me.
Great iced coffee — light and refreshing. Efficient and COVID safe ordering too.
Cute place with an awesome vibe. The staff was informative and very pleasant to speak with. For someone who isnt a big fan of tea they have great advice. Although I didnt end up getting tea, I got the mocha latte and my friend got a decaf Americana with oat milk. We enjoyed both. We shared a bagel with hummus and it was delicious. Definitely check this place out.
They don’t care about customers. Bad customer service.
Rude service, lukewarm drink and dirty seating. Not impressed.
I love how easy preordering online and pickup is. This is my go to coffee place. Thank you, Elixr, for your delicious beans.
Incredible coffee in an artfully designed space. The best place for high quality coffee in Philadelphia.
Coffee was very bitter, but the matcha latte was quite good
Fantastic espresso pull, and very friendly and skilled people work here.
Outstanding coffee, loved it!Pour over coffee available right now, too. All nicely and safely distanced
Rude, passive aggressive customer service. Need a lesson on dealing with customers in a polite manner.I apologized for doing something incorrectly and was met with EXTREME passive aggressiveness I heard you apologize the 3 other times...I got it. Just shockingly rude to be honest. Wont be going back.
Im from out of town and heard a lot of great things about this coffee shop so naturally I had to try it out. It was within walking distance of the conference Im attending in the heart of downtown. The latte I order was delicious with a really rich and chocolatey flavor. The baristas were really nice as well.
Excellent latte. Staff are great.
Service is always prompt even when they have a full house. I will be back with my friends. The place has a good feel to it. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.
You wont regret this coffee :)
Its so appetizing. Definitely worth a return trip. The bill wont break you. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I liked to visit.
What a great experience! From start to finish, nothing disappointed.
Amazing ambiance, amazing coffee, amazing people. Great coffee! Drinks are delicious and staff is friendly. The atmosphere is low key.
One of the best coffee in Philly
Good coffee, nice place to work and anti Muslim-hate!
Great vibe coffee and people
The best oat matcha latte in the city!
Food was very good. We will definitely go again very soon.
Friendly service. Easy to use website for ordering, or using the kiosk inside the door. The barista was very helpful in helping me select coffee for a friend. The drip coffee was perfect to start the day. I’m excited to try the rophi I bought to try at home.
I can say this place does it for me. Definitely worth a return trip. Prices were fair for the quality of the food. Feeling here is like a restaurant in Fort Worth I liked.
Great coffee every time!
This is one of the best coffee shops I’ve found anywhere. It’s tucked down a side street and is a bit tricky to stumble upon, but it’s great. Wide selection of coffee from different regions. The options for brew methods are nice to have as well. The squash latte was amazing. Highly recommend.
Bad customer service. Rude barista.
If you have food allergies or special requests this is place to go all kinds of options and treats. Simplistic quality ingredients made to order. Come see for yourself
Cold brew had a lot of flavor and was strong (just how I like it). Excited to do some remote work here once the COVID-19 situation subsided.
This place gave me pretty good morning because guys who worked there were very nice. One of the best coffees I tried and also exclusive design I had never seen nowhere before! I recommend to visit this placeUnfortunately, too many people and not that many tables as it should have!
Pour over coffee was unreal. Their drip coffee is perfect though.
The best iced vanilla latte with oat milk!!!!
Elixr was a nice stop during our visit to Philadelphia. I really do try and find hidden gems, and I struck gold here. There are ample selections of pour overs, great seasonal options listed, and bagels as well as other pastry selections if youre looking for a quick snack. I personally loved the Lavender iced Latte that I chose. Overall, a very chill and welcoming place to hang out for a great cup of coffee.
Great coffee. Bad vibes.
It was so tasty. Ive had nothing but pleasant experiences here and plan to keep coming back. Bring your appetite because portions are generous. Feels similar to a restaurant in New York I loved.
Always great! The staff are delightful. Good bagels with tasty honey cream cheese. Latte always on point. Nice space to do a little work or reading, though always busy and can sometimes be a bit tricky to find a seat. Cool art and good music, a nice spot in Center City!
The Barista in the Center City location is impolite and disrespectful to customers.
