I stopped by on a whim one afternoon after the restaurant that I planned to visit was not yet open. I had never even heard of his restaurant, but apparently it’s a silly stable and I should’ve tried a long time ago. I sat at the bar and had a couple of cocktails which were refreshing. We ordered the truffle gnocchi, grilled cheese, and Caesar salad. All of the dishes were excellent. The gnocchi was tasty comforting and very filling. The grilled cheese with super cheesy and paired well with the tomato soup, although I wish the sandwich was a bit larger. The Caesar salad was hands-down my favorite. It tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. I could taste all of the flavor in the dressing. I sat on the side of the bar where it was hard for the bartender to see me due to a large (espresso?) machine blocking me from view, but the bartender checked in often. Such a great experience! I’ll definitely be back in the future. I saw a few fabulous looking charcuterie plates I’d like to try next time

While I would love to rate this place higher because of the offering and the quality in general for most products, the desserts made it that they lose 2 stars. While the presentation is good and portions are huge(need to decrease the size it is a single portion!) The quality is bad. The cannoli cream was bad. It seemed to have turned and was acidic and biting. This should not be served! The other desserts are heavy very sweet and far from being refined. It is not the level of the rest in this place! Stay away from the desserts.

This is the place I really like they got all kinds of things in there its like a gourmet shop I really really liked it the people were really professional that waited on me and they have older people and younger people in there which is what I really love I cant stand a place where its just all young people it just seems like age discrimination is so alive in America. Some of their prices are a little high but thats probably what you would expect but their foods that have so many different kinds of foods I could live in there I could shop there every day though Im a person of meager means, thats another word for saying Im poor 😵 I just loved it there you could sit outside and watch all the traffic and the people going by I often wonder what kind of jobs they have that they could afford to live down there in Center City where I used to live money years ago actually a decade ago. Unfortunately I sat near the trash can and I couldnt stand the smell, maybe they should move it closer to the curb? But this is a really nice place Id tell you you got to visit it if youre down there near it. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I just purchased a big chocolate chip cookie and some propel water and it cost me about five bucks.

These are just a few items that my girlfriend and I have picked up from Di Bruno Bros over the last year. Everytime we go to Philly we have to stop by Di Bruno Bros. There hasnt been a single time weve gone that we werent 100% happy. Every employee seems to want to help you. Like instead of selling you something you might not want they try to find you something youll like. If youre ever in Philly this is a must.

When it comes to an amazingly curated selection of cheese, Di Brunos was my go to when visiting Philly. The snacks on the other hand is something you may want to load up on before you leave Philly. I had a work event and Di Brunos was the first place that popped up in my mind, especially the Black Lava Cashews. A lot of folks complained they dont like cashews, but were willing to give it a try and they were hooked. My team was over the moon about it and folks even complained I shouldve ordered more. The Black Cashews are always a hit!The service is always phenomenal though. I worked with Noelle and he was very efficient and responsive on getting the items to me on time. Best service and communications! I look forward to working with Noelle again on our next event!

Treasure trove of Italian specialty foods. Reminds me of the now defunct Balduccis in NYC. Everything looked super yummy and it was hard to choose what to get for lunch. I decided on the housemade Italian hoagie (Italian hero for those up north). First bite was pure sandwich heaven. Super fresh ingredients, and great chewy bread. But about halfway through, the extreme saltiness was getting to me. By the end, I was picking out the prosciutto and provolone and drinking buckets of water. I got mine with broccoli rabe, which was good but too long and stringy. Chopped up would make more sense on a sandwich. Anyway, I would come back and try other things as there is much to choose from. Also, staff seemed helpful and friendly 👍

I would not recommend the virtual cheese tasting. Good friends gifted us the June virtual cheese tasting. They did not communicate with us the delivery information, the date of the virtual tasting (so we missed the virtual tasting) and they shipped the cheese when we were away since they never notified us that it was coming! We were forwarded the virtual cheese tasting and it was boring and the videography was amateur at best.

I love Di Bruno Bros. and will continue to go here, but Im hoping that someone on their team reads this. Di Bruno Bros. has the absolute WORST produce. If you are customer who is currently in the store, walk over to the produce and I guarantee you most of it is spoiled. I have no idea where they get this produce but it is terrible. Half of the time the produce is rotten and they charge you and arm and a leg! Like I said, I will continue to shop here but I would stay clear of the produce unless they get a different supplier.

I called (had difficulty reaching someone as it kept going to voicemail, which was full) and after finally reaching someone was told they left it out because they ran out of the cheese. Would be nice if they had told me this ahead of time. Now they wont refund the gift set or send another type of cheese. Was also told a manager would call me back and all I got was an e-mail. I have been a customer at Di Brunos since I moved to Philly (so...about a decade): it is my go-to spot for potluck pastries, sweet treats for myself, fantastic prepared foods, and of course... cheese. The cheese mongers are incredibly helpful with suggesting cheese (and providing samples) for whatever needs or whims you may have...and their selection is incredible. They also have a pretty decent selection of imported & artisinal snacks.Upstairs, if you can make it before 3, stop and have lunch or brunch at the Cafe. I had a chance to try out the mozzarella bar (see picture); it has a whole variety of meats, toppings, and drizzles for your custom DIY cheese plate. I also recommend the cafés grilled cheese.
