Put it simply He is honest you can definitely trust him to do the work and not add any surprises.
Knows his stuff! Quick and friendly
I was referred to Max by a good friend of his who has done work for him for over 20 years so of course I though I could trust him. I DROVE my car to his lot on may 12 to have a new engine installed. He had my car for 3 months. Never once called me to notify me of any issues or progress. I had to call him to check in just to find out what was going on with my car. I called once and he told me the first engine he put in was bad. We ordered another one. He put the second engine in and when I called him to check in notified me that the second engine started but was running rough.I spoke to two other mechanics who told me to go check on my car myself because the chances of all these engines being bad were hard to believe. I popped up to his shop the next day and asked him to start my car; it wouldnt start. But just a day ago he told me it did start. He showed me codes that were showing up so I asked him to change the crank sensor which was one code to see if that worked. Car still didnt start. Long story short he agreed to let me TOW my car off his lot so Mazda could diagnose the issue. I could not believe the video diagnostic mazda sent me. This man not only zip tied my fuel line to the engine, but he did not set the timing on the engine (which he claimed he did) and that is why the engine did not start which any mechanic who puts a new engine in should know has to be done. The bolts for the used engine did not fit my harness properly and instead of him disclosing this information to me he put the engine in which mazda says would have eventually fell out of its placement. He did not connect the oxygen sensor to the engine, and there were so many screws missing from my car I was surprised it was still holding up. Also, the lines from the crank sensor he changed were hanging on my axle. When I showed Max everything mazda showed me he didnt take responsibility and said I didnt give him enough time to put the screws and bolts back on the car and that the clamp was on the old engine and he didnt have time to put it back on. He also became very irate, loud, and aggressive when defending the lazy work he did. I know exactly how my car was given to Max because mazda did a full circle inspection on my car before I gave it to hm and after I gave it to him and the only issue mazda saw was the oil leaking from the engine. I drove my car to this man and had to tow it off his lot and he said its not his fault. May car is running perfect after mazda fixed he timing and the other issues Max caused which only took them 4 days to fix. Do yourself a favor and take your car to someone who wont try to get over on a female.
The shop is closed for more than two weeks without any notice, don’t answer the phone, the voice mail is full.
