Be aware they will tamper with your car so you can take it back to them. They had my car in there for 2month and every time they said it was fix I leave and had to take it back right back. Ask for proof of work or recipe...

If u want that mom and pop shop to go to unlike the super chain stores. This is the place to go. They know you by ur name and the mechanics are some great guys who knwo what they ade doing. Ask for charlie he is a wiss with those comkhters and diagnosis. If not senior is there also to give advise. This is son and pop shop.

I showed up for a brake rotor and pad replacement with all the wrong parts. They were able to get all the correct parts, and stayed late to finish the job. They did a great job.

Inspection completed, even though the headlight is still out, & the vehicle is still making noise. CLEARLY the basics werent even checked, and It was done in a fashion to make a quick buck. Will never return and suggest no one go here.

I first took my car to be serviced here 20 years ago, at their previous location on Clark Street a block away. At that time I lived right down the street from them and I was referred by a car dealer I knew. Right from the beginning it was clear that they were very competent car mechanics and I also developed a relationship with them where I trust what they are telling me. Over the years I have moved several times and am no longer close in proximity to them. I still take the extra time and travel to return to them when when any of my vehicles need service. I trust no one with my vehicles like I trust them...and I highly recommend using them.

This is by far one of the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic shop I came across. Im an owner of a German vehicle and I feel more comfortable to bring it over to Grant Auto than I do bringing it to the actual dealership. They are trustworthy and have an immense knowledge about cars no matter how sophisticated or complicated they are. Highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of any repair or maintenance done on their vehicle.

Ive taken my car there a few times for repairs that they were able to quickly get diagnosed and get approved through my extended warranty. only paid my deductible where another shop cost me hundreds of dollars in the past. I recommend them. Just wish they had a car pickup service since it is a bit far from where I live and work.Update from February thru April 2018: unfortunately, theyve become too busy and disinterested in servicing my vehicle. Ive had to replace my water pump twice, belt twice and the alternator because a leak I was told was repaired was not - the leak was in another area. Initially I was told it was an oil leak then a coolant leak. I had the warranty mgr call and he said to be honest, I think theyre done with this car. it was his opinion but it mirrored mine after I had placed so many calls without a return call. I purchased my car and it came with a *** point inspection by this shop which is why I chose them to perform service. Nice people still but I have to find another place to do business.

I was refer there from the dealership, my car was worse than went I drop it off. my car windshield got broke, car loud as ever . These people are the worse. The police had to be call, dont ever take your car to this shop.

BEWARE INSPECTION STICKER SCAM!!!!!!Mid April I purchased a high end luxury car from PA AUTO SALES dealearship. At the time of purchase I stated I would have vehicle inspected by Mercedes dealership. Upon their inspection they advised me that the vechicle had new brake pads installed on deeply embedded and rusty rotors. My service rep stated this car would not have passed a PA safety inspection. As advertised PA Auto Sales offers a 1 year valid inspection & a fully serviced vehicle. This inspection would not have been valid or inspected properly with damaged rotors. I made Igor aware of my findings and provided proof.I also contacted the auto repair shop that performed inspection(Grant Auto Repair, Phila). Presently, Im waiting for a return call from owner.This situation posed a dangerous threat to my driving conditions. The dealership would rather risk repeat business instead of owning the fact that this type of behavior is going on by having vehicles half assed repaired and stickers just being put on cars. They also dont care about the reputation of Grant Auto Repair.I have spoken with the Safety Commission and plan to move forward with complaint against Grant Auto if they do not respond. Please know to keep your parts if this ever occurs to YOU!Hopefully, this review will encourage a meeting of the minds.
