I’ve had my hair cut at Scissors for more than 10 years and I won’t go elsewhere. They’ve done a tremendous job in a COVID environment making customers feel safe. My stylist, Tiffany is the best - Fun, Friendly, Quick and incredibly Talented.

I went in for a long layered look and came out with a mullet. I stated that I still wanted to put my hair in a pony tail but my last strong layer ends below my ear, dont believe that will happen. No I have not talked with the owner, but honestly how can you make a bad haircut look good?Just saddened.. 😭😭😭😭

I should have read the reviews before going here! Never again will I go here. I think the ladys name was Michelle, she gave me her card but I didnt take it. She made me look like a old lady and had the nerve to charge $40 when the receptionist said it was going to be $30 because I have short hair. Not even 30 minutes later I ended up doing my own damn hair. Paid money to do my own hair!

Michelle is awesome! She listens to what I want done to my hair. She gave me the contemporary hair style that I asked for. She is personable and educated in hair artistry. We moved to Peoria from Naperville and finding a competent stylist was a daunting task. I am grateful to have found her. I highly recommend Michelle.

A great long term locally owned business. Walk-ins accepted but is best that you call ahead. A full service salon and staff is attentive to detail.

I have had both amazing and less than suitable outcomes here. Great for walk-ins, but to that end you cannot guarantee a seasoned hairdresser. Always great customer service from thr front desk with reasonable prices.

Wonderful lady named Dee cut and colored my hair. I was very nervous because I dont get my hair done that often. She was down to earth, extemely knowledgeable and knew what I wanted better than I did. She advised me that the color I wanted wouldnt go with my skin tone and picked something that would and a cut that was flattering to my facial structure. Finally someone that can do that locally! I let her take the reins and it all turned out beautifully. Im glad I left it in her hands! Thank you Dee!!!

Had a hair cut from somewhere else that was messed up...they managed to fix it! And cut my hair exactly how I wanted I also got in without an appointment in about 5 minutes. Very pleased with my experience!

Owner is very rude!!! I would not recommend this place due to the way they treated me!! I ended up going to the Hair Cuttery an they where super nice!! I don’t understand how you pick who to be nice to it’s crazy.. I will not come back!!!

My hairstylist was ill today and I leave for vacation in the morning so I was a little frantic. I walked into Scissors and was lucky enough to get Dee. She colored my long, thick extremely rooty dark brown hair with great skill and pleasant professionalism. I opted out of a blow-dry as I had a lot to do to prep for my flight, My hair came out just beautiful, silky soft, perfect color and not a hair was missed, Dee is amazing, if you can get in to see her you will not be disappointed!

Overall the store is outdated, and their appointment cards are ghetto. However Lori is a fantastic stylist, she has been cutting my hair for about 20 years. Everyone in the store has always been very nice to me and most even know my name. I would recommend to anyone!

My daughter and I have been going to Scissors for years. We have never had any issues very pleasant people. We both go to Dee she knows what to do with color and styles well. I would recommend Scissors to everyone!

High price for a mediocre haircut. Dont bother to bring a picture, because they will cut your hair the way they want. I keep co ing back to them hoping they will get someone that does a decent job. This was the last time. I am going back to Oherleins School of Cosmetology in East Peoria! What was I thinking?

Will say theyll do your hair how you want and itll look nothing how you wanted or expected. I had longer hair and wanted it cut short and styled, they couldnt even finish my hair because she called it to damaged after she ALREADY CUT IT. I couldve went somewhere else and wish i did, to top it all off; it was my 20th birthday. I dont recommend this place to anybody and Ill never be back their again. They need to listen to what THEIR CLIENTS WANT, not what THEY THINK your hair should look, after all IM THE ONE paying.

I called to simply ask about any bridal services or up dos and the woman that answered was EXTREMELY RUDE and offered up no information and was little help to me. I can say thats definitely NOT how I would run a business.

I wish I could give zero stars. I asked for blonde color, the girl made my hair brown. I asked for a fix and was denied. I was told to go home and get used to it. I asked for a refund and was denied. I would not let them shampoo my dog in the future. BEWARE of bad business!

Worst place ever to get a haircut! They butchered my sons beautiful hair. They dont even deserve the one star. My wife and I wanted to scream at the lady. She messed up and just kept cutting and cutting his lovely hair. Now he looks like a skinhead, and he has to go to school looking that way. I feel so bad for him. I will never go back!

My mother, my sister, and myself have all been to this place on separate occasions, and we each had a horrible experience. They charged my mom $100 and she looked like the only thing that changed about her was a hair cut. My sister wanted allover black hair, with bright red highlights (specified NOT copper multiple times), and hair just long enough to fit into a ponytail. She got no allover color, copper highlights, and her hair was trimmed too short. I got red and lighter blonde highlights that were far too faded to begin with, and didnt last at all. We each had different stylists, which is why we were willing to give them another shot. We wont be making that mistake again.
