She could hear the frustration in my voice and told me that they were booked solid but she would do her best to at least get my car diagnosed. Her and the team kept me informed throughout the day. Once they diagnosed the issues with my AC they called and gave me the exact cost in addition to that they were able to fix it same day!! My husband and I have both taken our vehicles to the Wilhelm Peoria location and will continue to use them for our car maintenance/repair needs. Recently my car started making an odd sound and later the power steering suddenly went out. I got the car to them right away and they replaced my alternator along with some other things that I knew needed to be done. I get my oil changed at the dealership I bought it from because it’s on an oil change plan with them, but they usually point out things that need to be fixed on the car and want to charge me a lot of money. I take my car to Wilhelm for those needs because I know they will be honest with me on whether or not it needs to be done and I may even save some money! Wilhelm is awesome all around and everyone is super friendly!

Yesterday was my 1st time getting my car serviced at Wilhelm Auto. I was pleased with how thorough the staff was from the technician Michael who serviced my vehicle to the customer Service Advisor Gerson Carcache who made me feel like a valued customer. Gerson kept me up to date the entire time about the status of my car from the cost of repair (which was reasonable) to expected time of completion of job. By Gershon keeping me in the loop nothing was left for assumption which to a consumer is refreshing. I would recommend Wilhelm Auto to anyone that values great customer service and thorough and efficient auto maintenance.

I used to just settle with taking my car to the Honda service center because I got frustrated with untrustworthy smaller shop owners that Ive been mistreated by in the past. After recently moving to Peoria, I decided to give Wilhelm Automotive a try and Im so glad I did! The team at Peoria Wilhelm went the extra mile in customer service and quality care of my vehicle. I never felt talked down to as I more often than not do at car shops and could sense the genuine care from all members of the team, especially Gerson who walked me through each repair and pricing. I was provided with clear explanations of the issues, offered discounted pricing, and was taken care of in a very timely manner even with a long list of repairs. My faith in locally-managed car shops has been restored and I will definitely be going back for future needs.

Came for a Coolant flush on a Class A motorhome. Shop is super clean and organized and the staff is great. The waiting facilities are some of the best and nicest I have seen yet. This business has been here for 75 years and still knocking it out of the park.

It was our first time in. We got a flyer in the mail and decided to take our car in for an oil change. First, its nothing like you would expect for an automotive place. It is spotless, well furnished - cozy. The staff is very polite and friendly. Kent was my advisor. I told him I knew I needed tires, but would wait until after the holidays, so if he wanted to give me a quote that would be great. He called me to let me know what some of the options would be. He took the time to discuss the options with me, and ultimately I decided not to wait. I expected the prices to be high in comparison with a Discount or Sams Club, but that was not the case. Im from our of town and took my car in to get inspected after it started making sounds. They checked it out and were very honest about it not needing repairs. I have never received so little work for such a high price. Truly feel ripped off. Almost $400 for an oil chance 2 air filters windshield wiper blades. And I didn’t even have them do the ac there price was more than double. Should have done my homework. Won’t recommend to anyone.

I took my explorer in for the dreaded water pump. Kent did a great job fighting the warranty company on my behalf. Was able to get the repairs done. Plus I have the other work done since there were in there. Had to take it back because of some pinging from the plugs and they are taking care if it and been very happy. This is why I try to come back as much as I can. I also have a 02 park avenue I have them work on if I can not do it. Again great people and I never feel they try to take advantage.

Had a/c checked no problem found no charge. Very honest, could have said sonething was wrong just to make a dollar.

I got my 2010 Honda Accord fixed here and everything went above excellence. First, the customer service is awesome because they are very honest and thorough. Since the cost to fix my car is quite a lot and initially I did not want to do all of their recommendations for my car, they refused to do a half-way job. They said that they dont want to open everything up, fix them partially then close up and give it back to me. I thought this truly shows their honesty because they could just do that but they did not. Secondly, they offer me a free 5-day rental car if I agree to have my fixed based on their inspection. Of course, at this point, everything was so smooth and great that I chose to go with their offer and service. My car took longer to fix but overall, I have such a great great experience, especially with customer service. They truly deliver what they claim!!My car runs smoothly ever since. This will be the only place I go to and definitely recommend all of my people to go here. The only regret I have is to not know about this place earlier so that I dont have to waste money at other shops. I went to the one near Grand Avenue and went through the whole process with Ben Allis, one of their front desk people.

I had the pleasure of interacting directly mostly with Kent--in addition to a sweet lady who answered the phone each time I called, whose name I cant remember. However, Kent was very professional and helpful. There were a number of work desks semi-adjacent to the front lobby/customer area and when there were people there working, they were very courteous and pleasant as well.I really enjoyed the decor of that front room, the architecture and design and the nice pictures of valuable and/or distinguished cars on the wall with descriptions underneath each specific car.When there was a discrepancy about my bill because I made an assumption about what I would be paying for a certain service after seeing a coupon online, Kent immediately helped me understand what it was that I had seen online and then both he and another gentleman working at another desk up there quickly hopped on the issue and found ways to change my bill, so that I could receive the discount I had originally assumed I would.They were both kind and understanding, without seeming begrudged over my last-minute amendment to an order that perhaps in their minds ought to have already been finished.I appreciated everything they did for me.As a first experience, I was very pleased to have been able to find this business.Thanks Wilhelm.--Adam Lee :)

We are really happy with the services received. We called late on a Saturday about a noise from the drive train. They got us in at 9am on Monday and had a thorough evaluation within an hour. Kent Beauchamp provided clear explanations and precise pricing for what needed to be repaired. After approving the work, which involved replacing the transfer case, rebuilding the drive shaft, servicing the front brakes, rotating the tires and an oil change, they completed the repairs by Wednesday afternoon. We drove away confident with the quality of the work done. Very courteous and professional service 👍

Wilhelm automotive provides great services while working on my dodge diesel. It had a transmission leak which I took it in for and they did a thorough safety check as well. They discovered I was getting close to needing rear brakes and gave me a quote on both jobs. They finished both in a timely manner and communicated with me very well throughout. I will definitely use their services again in the future and would recommend others do the same

Honest, friendly and helpful. I have been to Wilhelm Automotive on Happy Valley Rd as it is closer to my home but went to the grand ave location based on the recommendation from the Happy Valley location.I recently failed emissions on one of our cars and needed to get it fixed before the next retest. I brought my car in when they opened. Within a couple of hours they called me back to let me know they had taken care of the emissions and the car was ready to be picked up. They determined that it failed because the catalytic converter was not at optimal operating condition when I did the test. They drove around to get the car in the right condition and then took it to get it tested which passed this time. They did not charge me anything plus they saved me time and effort from having to go and get it retested.I really appreciate their honesty, and great customer service. I would definitely recommend them and I will be bringing my cars here to get serviced going forward. Thank you again Wilhelms!

The staff was so incredibly helpful and friendly. This was the first time I’ve been to a Wilhelm and went in not exactly knowing what was wrong with my car. The did a free inspection then provided me with different options, between the most affordable options and what they recommend the most to get done. They recommended I leave my car with them in the meantime because of the condition it was in, but while they sorted it all out, they were generous to lend me one of their shop vehicles in the meantime out of concern of me driving around in a broken vehicle.

I always have come here for my auto repairs after always being taken here by my grandpa growing up. They have wonderful customer service and deliver good quality care to your vehicle at reasonable prices. If you have any problems with anything they make sure to do all they can to correct it. It is hard to find places that you can trust with your vehicle but I feel I can trust that they are with good intent here.

Never been here before today, but I will gladly go back and 11/10 would recommend to others. Staff was extremely friendly, they didn’t try to pull any weird nonsense that I’ve run into at other shops in the past. They even offered to stay late for me to pick up my car, since I work across the city & was afraid I wasn’t going to get there in time.This might sound like it should be a given, but the fact that they called me to let me know exactly what they intended to fix (multiple problems with my vehicle) & exactly how much it would cost was a big plus. Twice in the past I’ve had auto shops take it upon themselves to fix additional problems they found (though yes, they were legit problems) without asking me first... landing me a much larger than anticipated bill.These folks checked with me first, & I appreciated that.My car had multiple issues, including blowing hot air through the AC in this summer heat, & now it’s ice cold and drives better than it did when I bought it 6, 7 months ago.No complaints. I had the owner of a vehicle I was planning to purchase taken to Wilhelm automotive for an inspection. The inspection was extremely thorough, which was to aid in my decision on purchasing this vehicle.. I am absolutely 100% satisfied with the inspection Wilhelm automotive done on this vehicle. They found a lot of things that the owner did not specify. The owner of the vehicle said the vehicle was inein working order, and was asking above market value for the vehicle. I was willing to pay the price for the vehicle before the inspection. Being a female of 64 years of age I really appreciated the professionalism and through illness of Wilhelm automotive. I would have been stuck with some pretty hefty bills and bringing the vehicle up to par for going across country. I owe them a big thanks and an appreciation for the comfort and peace of mind theyve given me and making my decision on purchasing of this vehicle. Wilhelm is really great. I had a loose plate underneath the car which needed fixing. I drove up around 5pm and asked if it could be looked at and possibly repaired. Within 10 minutes I was handed back my car keys and told no charge for fixing the plate with a couple of clips. Thank you Wilhelm Automotive for your professionalism!

Wilhelm goes way beyond ordinary customer service. While they were doing a 50k service with prices way below a dealership they fixed a very important body trim for free. Dont hesitate do trust your car to them.

This is a great shop. I worked with Benjamin who has by for the best customer service I have had from a mechanic’s shop. I have been looking for a shop that does things right the first time and backs their work. This shop does it. They Did 2,000 dollars worth of work on my motor and everything was done correct and I’m super happy with them. If something doesn’t work out just right and it’s possibly caused by them they stand behind it and make it right. That’s exceptional customer s ervice and outstanding to see. They have a reference and rewards program. I recommended them to two people and from the repairs I had done I think I’m up to like 100 bucks of rewards points to put towards the next time I come in.

I am so happy with Wilhelm Automotive!!!! I have take my truck to about 4 different shops to try and find where my oil leak was coming from! One shop Told me that I didn’t have an oil leak and that it was my sensor that needed to be replaced $400 later the sensor was replaced then I took it to another shop because it was still leaking oil they told me it was a holes $100 later the truck was still leaking oil the other two shops had my truck for multiple days to where I had to use another truck to get to work and back. Thankfully I googled Best auto motive oil change places and Wilhelm popped up! I read some of the reviews online and thought with 500 good reviews and a 4.9 star rating that I would take a chance and I’m so glad that I did I will never take any of my vehicles to another shop. Kent was super friendly and super professional! I’m grateful for his honesty and understanding that not all repairs can be done at one time I feel very comfortable with this automotive repair shop. Really bad about everything left my car for two hrs for an appointment and they did nothing guy called and made it seam like they were in top of service when I went in they had done nothing sent car in for a rotation and tire repair they tried to tell me I needed a new tire and couldn’t repair wanted to charge $160 for a under warranty discount tire repaired the tire next day and this was second time they were suppose to repair my hazards and blinker light only did the blinkers and charged me $300 smh worse service I ever had and time means nothing to them I don’t under stand what an appointment is for with them! Don’t go here really

I was just helped today and the entire staff was super helpful and very reasonable when i needed a patch in my tire. reason i came back is they mounted and balanced the tires on my 69 f100 and did a great job and were super friendly. i would HIGHLY refer anyone to this location!
