Updating review- I will compliment Ed for his efforts at service recovery. I had walked back in to ask a question and he was able to offer me a courtesy ride home to allow time for an adequate evaluation of the vehicle.My initial impression was negative due to: I called ahead to inquire/schedule service, was advised could bring vehicle in now and should plan for about an hour to have it evaluated; brought vehicle in at stated time, waited more than 10 minutes to even be acknowledged as a customer, then was advised it would be “at least another couple of hours” before my vehicle could even be looked at.

Paul & crew are awesome. Never tried to sell us something we didn’t need. Always making sure our kids vehicles are running safe and have taken car of us for many years . Wouldn’t trust anyone else.

I called in and Mark got me in that day even though it was very busy. He and his team quickly got to my car and fixed my turn signal. They didn’t try to sell me on any additional fixes. They sent me away with a good fix and didn’t charge me and arm and a leg.

Derek was amazing and really did a great job at letting us know what we needed to have fixed! Very informative and honest about which services are needed.

I recently moved to this side of town and had a cooling issue that another shop kept misdiagnosing. Mark took in my Honda, diagnosed it properly and made sure it was truly fixed. I cannot say enough good things about this location and how they treat their customers. Would recommend any day!

If you ever have the opportunity to visit this location Paul and the rest of the staff will take care of you 100% !!Last week my car was having start up issues, had the battery tested to discover it was shot at AutoZone. I immediately replaced the battery to find issues with the acceleration of my car. I was told many hypothetical that I had a hard time believing so I left.2 days later I visited Brakes Plus, had the pleasure of working with Paul. Paul took the time and necessary procedures to provide a transparent diagnosis. Turns out I didn’t need the list of part replacements that AutoZone said and took care of my issue!!Lobby was clean and the rest of the staff was professional and friendly. I highly recommend this Brakes Plus to everyone!

Would love to hear back from this company after them putting my life and countless others at immediate risk. I was intimidated at 17 years old by 40 year olds after they continuously sent a hazard out onto the road and expected me to take my car in a condition that could have easily ended my life and others. They have thrown a variety of absolute garbage schemes to try to convince me I was completely at fault.I will only list things I can prove. They mixed my coolant which caused my water pump to go out, I was expecting it to go out soon but the mixed coolant that was not meant for my car did the seals in. After being upset with that I then found they had stripped every bolt I had to take out to get to the water pump. So what? It’s not like they left anything off of my car right? No they did that too. I proved it to them with video evidence and they would not acknowledge that their employees gave me a car that heavily relied on the turbo, which was building no pressure. The first pull out from their store was a heavily populated street and my car had no power.They caused oil pressure lights, it is mentioned countless times in the customer service forms (that I have asked be provided to me for over a year) before the car had been ruined. I was told my car was too high mileage at 125k and that they would in no way be held responsible. This is after I was told for months the car was fine and then the wheels locked sending me almost sliding into an intersection. The car turned off immediately upon stopping and has not been seen by me to this day. I still own the car and absolutely intend on holding brakes plus corporate responsible for their employees actions. I could have died and still I had to buy my own replacement for the 10k dollar car they bricked.Still waiting on brakes plus to sue me btw.

I’ve used brakes plus for many years and they’ve always done a great job! Today, my brake booster went out. I dropped it off this morning and when I explained my daughter needed it tomorrow, they put some extra people on it and delivered today. This location always tells me no, they are too busy to take my business. I have really tried to get an oil change here several times over the year since I always use Brakes Plus and this one is right by my house plus has good reviews. I think refusing a customer is terrible service. I will just go to the other Brakes Plus farther away ( 19th Ave and Happy Valley). I will give them another 5 star review when they do a good job as usual. Also I won’t show as a verified customer since they always refuse me.

The staff here really work hard tp provide excellent service and accommodate customers...They will apply whatever coupon associated with your repair to help in lowering your final cost...They even took us home and picked us up when car was ready...Excellent Service and Customer Service! I was looking for a place to start taking my new car for general maintenance and repairs. I needed an oil change and Brakes Plus Peoria had the best reviews. They did not disappoint! They kept in contact with me regarding the need for new filters and a missing key for my tire bolt locks. Friendly staff and quick service, Ill be coming back for sure!

I went to this location last Friday because my breaks had been screeching during slow stops. I suspected the Ieft front drivers side. Id forgotten the mask mandate had been lifted a few days before. Ed greeted me and when he saw I had my mask on, he puts his on as well which I felt was very considerate but also an expected professional courtesy.When I went back in to pay after I was told me vehicle was ready, Phil (who earlier had a mask hanging off his ear) paid me no such consideration or courtesy. He just went on talking and attempted to hand me things which I wasnt reaching for given he didnt feel like putting his mask on. Phil also contradicted the reasons Ed had given me for needing to replace the brake pads. When I pressed him, he showed me a model which demonstrates 3 levels of break pad thickness -- the good in green, the moderate in yellow and the bad in red. My front break pads were in the yellow but my rear break pads thickness were both in the green. When I pointed it out, he just hemmed and hawed and shrugged it off. Would Phil have treated a man similarly? Very unlikely.I give the experience 2 stars rather than none only due to Eds initial courtesy and because $500 later at least my brakes dont screech.

I came in not knowing what was really going on with my car. Derek greeted me and was very pleasant and professional, I told him what was going on and well to make a long story short he took care of the problem and it was done within the day! I have taken both cars for many years to them. They have ALWAYS gotten my cars done very quickly! They are honest and professional. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable leaving your vehicles with them. The manager and staff are so very friendly! Always! I am really not one to want to go inside anywhere anymore with Covid now but they went out of their way to take care of me and make me feel ok and comfortable with the transactions to pay for the services rendered. I cannot recommend them enough!!!!

Wonderful experience, they diagnosed my issue which was rear calipers not releasing and wearing pad away, front breaks were good. They suggested rear pad replacement, brake fluid flush which might release rust from calipers and aid in their releasing properly. Calipers are electric and would cost $450 each from Volvo. Im to check in 5000 miles. Hopefully calipers are working properly. I was metal to metal, in Surprise Arizona, long way from Portland Oregon. Made it home safely. Everyone I interacted with so friendly and pleasant.....felt the pricing was very reasonable. They were recommended by a local and Im so happy that I didnt go elsewhere. Based on my experience Id highly recommend this store in Surprise AZ. John

We have used Brakes Plus on Deer Valley in Peoria for many years... and many vehicles. This is where we take all our vehicles for pretty much any type of work other than tires. They are ALWAYS respectful, knowledgeable, and call to discuss all recommendations. There have been times also where they will call and say there is nothing that needs to be done etc, ie they have never tried to swindle us into buying repairs not needed. Good people.

I took my car into brakes plus yesterday, got an oil change and they noticed that my spark plugs need to be replaced and they did a phenomenal job. My car is running great and I’m very happy with the service. Next time you go in ask for Derek, he did an incredible job, I’m super happy!

This place is always my go to for oil changes and tune ups. Of course brakes are a given too! Ask to speak to Derek he always is very professional and knowledgeable! But if he is too busy the other guys are great too.

Service was not on time. I lost maybe 100-$200 in revenue due to their tardiness...1st time in probably last ..sad. no free oil change offered to make it right .. just a dismissive comment...get back to work when I got my keys back. Oh, gee THANKS!!!

I have brought three vehicles here, my Caddilac, Mustang, and a Toyota Tundra. I was pleasantly surprised last year when Mark the GM brought me out in the shop to see my broken parts while my Caddy was on the lift. I scoped out the shop and they have super nice equipment, especially for alignment. Its the best alignment value in town by far. I have been bringing all my cars here since for brakes or anything else.The mechanics work with top of the line tools and they work their butts off. I Honestly feel pretty lucky to have a neighborhood shop like this....Mark has 30 + plus years experience and the Exceptional service here shows it. I have no problem bringing my cars here. The people here are great! I have had my share of real shady auto repair places but these guys are different. I have 3 of my cars repaired here and I have no complaints. You will not go wrong by coming here for your maintenance or repairs.

I visited for the first time yesterday with my Nissan. I needed rear brakes and some fluid exchanges that the dealer recommended. I found them to be very professional. Plus, I got everything done for $500 vs $950 quoted by the dealership. I will definitely be returning for my maintenance!

The car we brought in (a 94 camaro) was not moveable when I brought it in and they guided us on what was going to be best to do with it. There was some miscommunication that happened along the way, but they went above and beyond to remedy it. Here is the thing..... I called in the morning right after they opened to request an oil change. Asked if they had any openings today, they told me yes at 12:00. The guy took my name and number and said he had me down for 12:00.... I showed up and I was not in the system. I asked approximately how long it would take. I was informed it would take roughly around an hour give or take. I was sitting there for 2 hours and 15 minutes before I was informed my air filter and cabin filters were dirty. I accepted to get them changed.... It has now been 3 hours and my car is still not off the lift... They do good work but wow I would have went home... Do not expect time tables when you go to this company.. Pathetic

Rikki was amazing and super helpful. I drove all the way from Scottsdale to make sure he was the one to look at my car because I know I can trust him. It was well worth the drive! He got me in right away. I came in for an issue with my brakes and they also found a big transmission issue. He gave me honest advice on options and the best route to take. I was able to get my brakes and transmission fixed and he helped me set up financing payments. You can tell he really cares about his customers and looks for best solution. He is definitely the type of person you want managing your stores.

I gotta say, I love brakes plus. Though specifically the past two times Ive gone to one (this store and Tatum and bell) Ive worked with Tony. This man, let me tell you, is one of the most truth speaking and well rounded folk I have met. (Tony if you are reading this, Im the guy with the Hyundai Sonata). He has not only helped me fix this vehicle but he has also taken the time to walk me through step by step and show me the issues wrong and make sure I was aware of everything along the way and so I knew this man was not yanking my chain. Had a problem last week with the ABS module and front brakes. Left the car with them within a few hours the called, found the problem that caused the ABS to flip out, fixed the issue and put new brakes on the front all at a reasonable price. They were professional and responsibly priced. They didnt try to sell me repairs that werent needed. Will use them for any break issues in the future.

Called and inquired about pricing and got an answer for an average price to replace brakes. Loved that they did that without requiring me to bring my vehicle in for a consultation. They are very flexible and worked with the time I had given them. I Immediately booked an appointment for within the hour, got my car back 2 hrs after I brought it in and my brakes work great. Would definitely recommend! They are the cheapest this side of the Valley too!

I went to Brakes Plus for the first time today and it is now my go to auto shop. I was there to have my battery checked. Ricky was my service agent. He was very pleasant, checked my vehicle within 10 minutes, and told me I did not need a new battery. He could have easily sold me something I didnt need but instead was a honest salesman. Knowing, I will be driving my car long distance in the near future he asked me to come back tomorrow so he can test it again and ensure the battery isnt losing power rapidly. The service did not cost me anything and I enjoyed receiving excellent customer service which is difficult to find these days.
