This Hass to be one of the best hobby shops I’ve ever been to the people are very very kind and generous and I always come there and all the staff helped me ALOT!!!

My son loves Thomas Trains. We found the exact set he wanted and the owner was very kind and helpful!

When I first walked into this place I was a little lost and overwhelmed. I recently got into this hobby and didnt know really what I was looking for but thank goodness for the people that worked there. They are all extremely helpful and knowledgeable and chances are what you are looking for they have in stock. I will definitely be shopping here again and honestly I cant wait to do so.

FUN FUN FUN! We had a blast here. They have a really neat custom-made obstacle course for crawler RC trucks, totally free to use. We bought a couple Axial SCX24 1/24 scale 4wd Jeeps and came back the following month for a Traxxas Rustler 4wd. Prices were at, or cheaper than web-based stores (the ‘a—zon’ included).My neighbors got so excited watching us drive around together they went and bought a Traxxas Rustler 2wd and joined in.Staff was all family, including a daughter which made my little girl feel very welcomed.We asked a ton of questions about the different models and they had all the right answers.I’ll be coming back for sure.Remember, it’s never too late to have a happy childhood!

The nicest most helpful people ever. As a novice I was shy to ask questions but they were more than accommodating. This store is amazing. 10/10

They may not know the most about RC Heli’s but the owners are very nice, will listen to you and try their best to help you in any way they can. They have ok stock of heli’s and planes but a lot of stock in RC cars and trucks. Really a great place.

They have tons of train stock in N, HO, and O scales. I found the motor springs I was looking for plus several things I wasnt 😉. Their prices are comparable to online shopping. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive!

Well I did enjoy coming in but today was different. I needed parts for my slash and my hoss that I purchased from here. Both in less then a month. Well I couldnt get any help but everybody that walked thru the door after me did. Very disappointed. Guess Ill have to find another shop or just order online. Smh.

I bought my first R.C car from a co-worker and he told me to come up their to get it check out. The people their are amazing, very informative, great prices. I really enjoy myself watch them fix Traxxas X-Maxx and talking to them.Great People.

A disappointing event. I came from out of town looking for several parts and some advise. The manager was completely rude and not helpful. It was a shame I really was looking forward to buying the parts I needed and maybe some more rc equipment. Sorry to bother you and for walking in the store on a Sunday.

Love the store but seems like every time I come in with my pos hoss the guy always act like it’s a burden to talk to me about it. my very first rc so don’t know anything about them completely clueless. the guy wasn’t trying to help at all was gonna leave my hoss there but the rude vibes I got from him made me just leave he’s wife is super sweet tho and very helpful she goes the extra mile to help out !

First time in a true “hobby” store looking for a “starter” RC vehicle. The inventory of products and parts is huge. They even provide repairs and custom upgrading. The owner was very hospitable & knowledgeable about the products. I spent an hour there looking & asking questions. Several other customers came in & the owner managed all of our needs with true grace & professionalism. Left with my first RC Aircraft. 😁

My son and I go in there at least once a week if not more and have never had an issue with any of the staff I have about 30 cars from nitro to electric and even 2 stroke and mike and his wife have always went out of there way to help me find exactly what I Wanted and needed. Have been extremely helpful with one of a kind custom builds I have done and also have never had an issue with prices you get what you pay for and I’m all for quality and durability once again great people do business with can’t wait til the next visit

Since taking ownership of Oak Mountain hobbies this family has turned it around 180 degrees. They strive to be the hobby shop many remember as a kid, but better. Its very hard to do in todays world. They are easily accessible in Pelham, fair, personable and dont mind when you drop in just to browse. Oak Mountain truly appreciates my business no matter how big or small. Fair prices and a great selection.

Went to check them out because the Games Workshop website has them listed as a carrier of their product. They dont have much in that regard, but they have a tremendous amount of hobby material, could see it being heaven for anyone who does anything with model trains or RC cars.

An amazing hobby and gift store locally owned and operated by a very thoughtful family. Loved going in there and discovering a wide range of items. Trains, RC cars & planes, puzzles, kites, paint, magazines, mini buildings, track, seasonal items, rockets ... honestly something for everyone.

This is a hobby shop that is for people with deep pockets and they dont sell any variety of items with a price range so if you plan on getting into a hobby from a fresh start this is not the place. Also the customer service is very bad I asked a simple question about RC cars amd if i could look at one and the dude just looked at me amd said nothing. Also been in there three time to look atound and neve was asked if i needed help finding anythjng. The place stinks of farts and hardly any lighting. With all the money they have with selling the most expensive stuff you would think the place would look better.

Went in today to get some paint. Was a very good experience, friendly and helpful. Prices are competitive for the items I was interested in. Will be returning there in the future.

Terrible Customer service. I drove almost 2 hours to shop here and had to deal having my son scolded by the owner when he was doing absolutely nothing wrong. Later he had the nerve to scold my wife for touching a O scale locomotive I had handed to her. I was considering purchasing it and it was sitting out. No harm no foul. But this place certainly does not appreciate their customers. By all means do not enter this toy/hobby shop with your children as they are NOT welcome here. The owner made that very apparent. In this day and age when brick and mortar hobby shops are being driven out of business by online retailers it amazes me when you get poor customer service from one of these establishments. As much as I wanted to support a more local business, my money will go to an online business. I may just be a number to them but a little customer service is better then what this place gives you. The treatment by the owner went way past rudeness and was borderline abusive. What ever happened to human decency??? I only wish I had read some of the reviews of this place before I decided to shop there. Take my advice and pass on this place. They dont deserve your money.

What a great place to do business with. We all know that in the RC hobby world things can go wrong pretty fast . Well that is what happen to me on a purchase that I made unfortunate we had a motor burn up with in a days time. The owners were very accommodating at making things right.

Today my son and I took a very nice hobby rc car by here and had such an awesome experience I had to share. He of course broke his very expensive car on the second day after Christmas and we took it to a different store a week later and they couldnt fix it. The car stayed in the basement for the last 10 months until a friend recommended Oak Mt. Hobby Shop. I called first and was told they are super busy and could not fix it until January, but please bring it by and he might be able to find the part and we could fix it. When we got there, Michael was so helpful, diagnosed the problem immediately. He had the part and switched it for us in a few minutes. My son has had a great time this afternoon with his new car. The rest of the store was really cool, organized, lots of things besides cars and trains including kites, Warhammer, toys, building stuff...really fun to look around. Thanks again..

It feels like they give you the cold shoulder at first but there very nice once they warm up to you, but theve never done me wrong. They helped me replace a $100 motor for only $60, and theyve always got what i come for in stock. Witch is good for me, as i have to drive an hour to get here

Great hobby store. I went there this past week with my 3 children. They were having problems with their train layout but went out of their way to get it running again so that my children could run it. They also spent a lot of time explaining to me and my boys the differences between different planes and which would be most appropriate for a beginner. Thank you for your help. Will surely be back.

OMG I left the wrong review on this store! Im so sorry! This is a great store, My first time here, only place for N Scale stuff in the state as far as I know and they have a good selection. Priced a little high, but understandable as these mom and pop stores are being choked out of business. Bought a brand new DC steam engine for 90 bucks, great price there and dont have to wait for shipping. Guy in the front i think was the owner, was very polite, as soon as i came in he let me use the restroom which some wont if you dont spend money first. I drove a hour and 10 mins this store. WELL WORTH IT! He has a good selection on everything from N HO and O as well as a little bit of Z stuff surprisingly. His store consists of kids toys, and hobbies from Trains, Nitro and Electric RC, and Planes. Go check it out, theres something there for everyone to enjoy! Edit: anyone saying they didnt get helped, is probably because they didnt ask, or maybe busy dealing with someone at that moment, i asked to look in a case when he was free and he promptly came over, and then thanked me before i even paid for it. That says they appreciated business.

Ive been in here 2 times and have been sold the wrong part twice. Ive told them i need a pull start or spin start for a .21 Dynamite engine and they have seemed to mess this up. 45 min is a long way to drive for a bunch of know it alls to sell you the wrong part, twice. The Model Box destroys you people in service and overall experience.

Brought in a vizo drone because the feed was inverted. I didnt even have the box but they replaced it on the spot without hesitation. Amazing customer service and the staff always greets with a smile!!

Absolutely horrible experience. They advertise an item for sale, get there and the only customer service I could get was, I think it’s out of stock, let me check. Then the guy proceeds to help another guy as I stand in front of him for at least 5 minutes before I just walked out the door. I’ll go to the Model Box where I actually am treated like a customer.Bad business to advertise an item as in stock on Facebook but not have the item in stock. And then to provide horrible customer service on top of that. Congrats you just lost a 1000 sale.

In Jan 2018 I started an HO scratchbuild project for an iron ore tipple. Oak Mountain had all of the balsa wood items I needed. I was in and out in minutes, thanks to helpful staff.John Stewart

Have come in there twice, and both times, i was spoke to rudely, I was looking at a t maxx, and had it in my hand, and some guy walked up and said he was buying it, and the lady said well great and took it from me, like i had no say in this, i never said i was not going to buy it, but he made that decision for me. I left very upset, and the lady told me to go down the street if i was not happy. I would never darkin there door agian, and i suggest that you all reading this you do the same.
