I have used Independent Volvo for 12 years on two different older model Volvos (1995 850 and 2007 S60). They have never failed to be honest and upfront with me about anything. I trust them completely to tell me the fairest prices and achieve the safest results. They prefer to use top-of-the-line parts, but have been willing to work with me and order generic parts for a lower cost when I needed it. They are extremely prompt and take pride in doing the best and safest work possible. Their estimates of costs and time have always been accurate. They also give me fair assessments of what types of repairs are necessary and which can wait, which helped me when I was a student on a budget. Additionally, I am a young single female and have never gotten an inkling that they treat me or anyone else with disrespect. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Love Vartkas and Mike. When I was a single woman they treated me and my Volvo with total respect. After I had a family: same service, same reliability, same good prices. Trusting your mechanic feels great! So does driving a reliable car to 200,000 miles.

This guy was the first guy to be nice to me when I arrived to LA. He helped me to find my car and every time I had a problem he was doing his best to make it easier and cheaper for me without doing the things in a wrong way. Excellent mechanic and also excellent person.

Ive been going here since 1988, when my 1985 740 warranty was up. Then after a Taurus I got a 1998 V90. Loved them both. Then bought a 1988 wagon through Vartkes, then a 1996, then a 1998, and finally a 2004, which Vartkes approved before I bought it from a dealer. It was 4 years old and had 20,000 miles on it, one private lessee. Best car Ive ever owned. Now with 156,000 miles. I am planning to have it restored. Vartkes, Mike, Koko et al are the best. Also their shop is very clean and they have a pleasant waiting room. Can Uber or Lyft to a Gold Line station, but I just take a book and wait. If they know you are waiting they do not rush, but get the work done sooner than promised, if possible. I have referred all my friends there.

I went to independent volvo to get my car checked out for any faults.....the mechanics are very professional and look if they know what they are doing.....they tell you what is wrong with the car and not try to add extra stuff so they could charge you more....i would recommend this place to any volvo driver.

Vartkes and Mike really know old Volvos - theyre the place to go when a regular mechanic says your Volvo is too complicated or cant be fixed.

Called and asked about making an appointment and was told a mechanic would call me back in 5-10 minutes. I stopped waiting for the call a day later. If they dont call before they have your business then I cant imagine they would call once they get your car. Ill be sticking with the dealership.
