I called Jay, in panick that I was going on vacation, not only did he get me in the same day, his guys were absolutely phenomenal! They not only fixed the transmission oil & something that was missing, but they also told me the other minor things that was wrong, but that could wait until after vacation. they made sure my car was ready for a 12 hour round trip ! We dropped 2k on work, we provided the parts... My truck purred like a kitten when we took her in. We knew she needed an oil pump changed. We pick her up she drives so so bad now. Took her back they kept my truck all we never even started it. Then tried to tell me I have electric problems. I have used a am co for years. Bit never again. We work hard for what we have and they do not care about their customers.

The vehicle went in, towed by AAMCO, and each day they worked to fix the battery, a fuel pump, and numerous issues to get the vehicle running. They went above and beyond to help us and were very cordial. I highly recommend them and will be going back.

This place is way overpriced...double the price to be exact. I had them diagnose my truck the balance came to 4k! Took it to another shop and it was only 2k. Luckily I went with my gut. When youre talking in the thousands, its always best to get atleast a couple diagnostics tests done believe me. It saved me 2k
David was extremely knowledgeable and educated me on how to prevent future issues with my vehicle. The team did a full diagnostics on my transmission and also checked other services. It is always nice going to a place that is knowledgeable about their services and aren’t in the business just for the money. I went to other shops that charged over $400 to fix an issue that wasn’t an issue. David truly cares about his customers and make sure each customer is properly educated on their vehicle. I def will recommend anyone to this location even though it is 25+ miles from me!
I was having issues with my car making an unusual noise. I went in, they checked my car, they explained the problem in detail and discussed my options. It was very affordable. I looked online for the services at other companies and that was the best price. I now have a new shop that I know I can trust! I will definitely be back if I need my car serviced.
David you are awesome he helped me with my extended car warranty to take car of my daughters 2012 Camaro water pump. He talked to them and explain to them how they were responsible for that repair. This place is AMAZING. I had some issues with my transmission and thought I was going to have to replace it. I went in dreading what I was going to hear, surprisingly it wasnt as bad as I initially thought! David explained the total process and found EVERYTHING that was wrong with my car. I felt at home there and they had EXCELLENT customer service. I will definitely be giving them another visit.

I highly recommend this Aamco. I just recently got my car fixed there & was very satisfied with the result & the customer service that Roy and his employees gave me! As a female when you walk into a mechanic place you feel like they are taking advantage of the fact that you are a female and dont know what you are talking about...Well not here Roy was very honest and explained everything in detail. I felt very comfortable, he even recommended a financing company when I couldnt afford to get my car fixed. Had he not done that I would of still been asking around for rides instead of driving in my newly fixed car. So to Roy and his amazing staff I thank you all very much for treating my like a person instead of a $.

He made sure my vehicle was repaired properly, in under 3 days, worked within my budget and gave me easy solutions for another vehicle while mine was out of commission. UPDATE: Seems that the main problem is the transmission itself, t5 or t45. after all this time the mechanics at AAMCO worked through changing gears, clutch cable and what not. These guys will work what you need done, but if theres something absolutely wrong with what you have, and it cant be fixed. then they cant do anything about it. make sure have Robert check over and test drive and make sure you do too. a whole lot of lost time, call in to check on your vehicle, they get really busy. all in all, theres is really nothing wrong except the t5/t45 has gone bad. Good shop and workers.Brought my car in 1999 Ford Mustang V6 M/T. It was having a hard time getting into reverse, added that they said it was stiff getting into all gears. so I had them open it and do repairs $2400+. after the repairs were done I drove the car onto another parking lot making some weird noises I had it towed, when I got home the exhaust wasnt put on properly, so I had to drive it back so they can put it on properly. after this was done, now the bushings are loose from it being put on improperly and my car is making a rattling noise when on idle. still the main problem about the transmission: stiff gears. after all the repairs its now still stiff and it makes rattling noises. truly am disappointed.2 stars since they were nice when talking to. and making the deal.job done: no, not what i was expecting. i wasnt expecting it to shift like it was out of the dealer, but its just now worse than how it was before, was hoping to shift smoother but gears are just hitting all over the place, first gear is really difficult to get into now, so getting off a stop light takes a while compared to before the repairs.So after 3 yrs of driving and approx. 18,000 miles, and all this time, i just took it to another transmission shop, transmission turned out to be dry, the whining noise was because there was very low transmission oil.Communication: 4/5Transmission work: 1/5
They are very knowledgeable and customer oriented. Unlike some other places they are focused on getting the job right and not how much money they are going to make off you. I would let them to work on my car any day and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good mechanic!
This place was awesome! Took my 2012 chevy sonic LTZ 1.8L in for a transmission diagnostic that they offer free of charge. Not only did they look at it and tell me whats wrong with my car they showed me and made sure I understood everything they were talking about.They recommended I have the fittings on my oil cooler lines changed as well as a transmission fluid changed.I will definitely be back as soon as I possibly can to have the repair and maintenance done on it.They were all really nice also and that helps a lot when stressing over something so big.Thanks guys yall are awesome see yall soon.
WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT GO HERE. PAY $200 EXTRA SOMEWHERE ELSE!!! If there was a -100, this place would get it. The warranty is a joke, because they never do anything wrong. Brought my car in for a rebuild transmission job. Cost $4300. Real expensive but i lived with it. Came with 12/12000 warranty. 6 months later the transmission blows and grinding all the way to stop. Smoking and grinding to even get the car on tow truck. New problem, so not under warranty, but it does have to do with transmission. Weird right! well i give in and pay the $2100 for this new repair. A few weeks later the transmission fails and comes to a grinding stop on road and transmission oil all over the place. Yep you guess it, new problem so not on new warranty for either of the previous 2 problems. Drop off car, Im upset and I dont hear from guy for almost a week. He hasnt even lifted it up. Now I have paid this guy $6300 to fix a car worth $3000. Now it takes him 3 weeks to even look at it and whole week to get me parts and price and fix because the new problem is not under the previous warranties. Now for another $1200 he can fix the new problem. Now Im in for $7500!!!! They fix it in 4 weeks from dropping off and drive it home and AC doesnt work. Call him and he tells me thats not his problem or anything they have done. Plus I can hear grinding while I drive down the road. Next day, I find a puddle of transmission fluid under car. I take it to dealership and trade in on another car same day! WOW! THESE ARE THE RIP OFF ARTISTS OF THE YEAR! NOT SURE WHO IS DUMBER, ME OR THEM. (Me, obviously)I CONSTANTLY TELL ANYONE WITH ANY CAR TROUBLE NEVER GO HERE FOR ANYTHING! SIMPLY PUT, IDIOTS!!
Mr. Robert helped us with every issue that we came in with. Not only did he look at what we thought was wrong with our vehicle, he also did further diagnostics to inform us on things that would fail in the near future. They offer financial assistance at this location if you qualify also. When we thought our car wouldnt be ready for an appointment that we had to meet Mr Robert offered to take us to it. Very sweet guy.

I left my original review below however I needed to do a follow up because it turned into a horrible experience after. The original rebuild lasted 350 miles before it blew up worse than the original time when I brought it in. After costing me a bunch of time and money I had to tow it back myself. I again left it with them, after nearly a month of delays and problems they finally said it was ready. I went and picked it up and it seemed better however it only made it a few thousand miles before it blew up again in Ohio. The original manager was already no longer with the company and although he said it would be covered nationally because I live nowhere near Texas and marked it on the receipt they refused to honor this saying there was no such thing and that if I wanted it warranted Id have to tow it 1200 miles back to them. At this point I just gave in and paid a real professional in Ohio to fix it properly. So long story short, dont trust this place. They did a horrible job twice, cost me a ton of money in wasted time and fuel and basically stole $1800 of my hard earned money. They refused a refund after never getting the work done right twice saying its not their fault their own manager gave us false info on the warranty and its on us to get it back to them.STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS RIPOFF OF A COMPANY!!--my original review below, though sadly turned out not true --Had to have our tranny rebuilt while passing through the state and were on a tight schedule. Robert not only got us the best deal he could but him and his mechanic Steven went the extra mile staying late to get us out in time. I wish these guys were in my area so I could come back any time I needed work done.

Ok its has been a good 8-9 months now that David and his team worked on my 98 4x4 white Dodge Durango. And I can say I am beyond happy with the job they did because a shop I took it to before aamco charged me alot and the transmission messed up on me in 6 months. So ive always seen aamco since I live in the area all my life. So I passed by one day and spoke with David and he walked me thru with what he was going to do and what was all wrong with my truck and how much everything was going to be. The payment and the warranty and there experience in what they do was a great experience. I highly recommend if anybody have transmission problems David and his team are the ones to go to. I’m a skeptical person of who works on my vehicles and I gave aamco a shot and they did great had my suv in and out in a timely manner and covered the warranty work.
Took my car here because the engine light was on. Had to replace a sensor, which fixed the problem. Jay was nice, and told me about some other things to watch. No pressure and didnt try and sell me a bunch of stuff I dont need. Will go back again.
Took my car to the shop because of a loud noise from the front wheel and problems with the transmission shifting. Roy helped me out as soon as I arrived and was very attentive and friendly. He called and kept me updated with the issues and repairs need for the car. I had an aftermarket warranty and Roy worked hand in hand with them and attempted to get as much of the work covered as he could. After the repairs were made, another issue was discovered by the shop and Roy contacted the warranty company on his own and was able to get the entire second issue covered. They worked fast and even with all the work needed were able to have the car out in less than two weeks and that was dealing with the warranty company and inspectors. Roy called frequently to keep me updated on the progress and was alway pleasant. I would highly recommend this shop to my friends and family. Cost was low and the car is running like a dream. Theyre not bad. They fixed the immediate problem with my car, but my car still has other issues. I dont know about transmission work because I had none done. I would classify them as the typical mechanics. Theyre not great, theyre not horrible.
David over here at aamco is really making a difference in the management an hospitality towards there customers... I think at times we are all always a little skeptical about who we allow to work on our vehicles especially If we never done business before ...truth of the matter is David here will be willing to resolve any questions or concerns an make sure you get the service promised...its more than aservice repair its helping people get back on there way towards there destination!!
I called a few days ahead of time to schedule an appointment. When I got there, the guy still knew who I was after 3 days. The guys worked on my transmission and fixed it the best they could for the money I had. Roy was very upfront and honest about the problems I was having with my car and what he could do to help me. They worked on my car when I couldnt find anyone else that would. I will definitely be taking my car back here for any future problems or maintenance.

Brought my old farm truck here for a trans rebuild (sentimental value). Quoted me over 2k for a simple rebuild I wasn’t happy but my mechanic was backed up for a month so I took the hit.Took over 3 months to get it done. Bought a new carburetor for them to put on and they tried to steal it. Didn’t find out til I took it to a new mechanic to finish for the rest of the work. They literally opened my carb with a clothes pin. Went back and cussed the guy out and he said “oh I’m sorry we forgot” (I have it all on video) and walked over to a tool box and pulled it out still brand new in the box. Also when I left after they a brake job on the front and rear which “they compted me for because of all the issues and the extensive time it took to finish” my brakes went out. Come to find out they slapped slapped pads on the rear didn’t even touch the front. Fast forward 3 months. Transmission went out and overheated luckily they do have a warranty and the paper trail and after some corporate calls I got my truck to a different shop but it took over a month to finish. So far running good but only time will tell. Avoid this particular shop at all costs I can’t speak for other shops since it is a franchise except the new one took over a month to complete. But I will never use this company again. Ended up costing over 4k to fix things they messed up. Save yourself and go somewhere else.

*** Do Not Leave your vehicle here! My car was here 12days not only did I get the run-around every time I called but there was a ridiculous wait to get my vehicle back. Also I had a rental car during the diagnostic check up for my vehicle and after the repairs have begun we were charged for the rental for Ten days - and the communication between the manager and car rental place was terrible. We were waiting for adjusters, waiting for the rental car issue to be finilized now WAITING for a refund. Do not leave your vehicle here!
My husband took his car there to have it fixed and they end up frying some wires that messed up the electrical components. My husband even took it back to them to have them fix it. over a week later they still have not touched it. My husband finally took it to someone else to fix it. It is not going to cost us over $700. We paid aamco $3000 and now we have to pay more money to fix there mess up. I told my husband that we should sue them. I will never ever take any car to them again.
After a second visit to a transmission repair shop the search stopped at Aamco. Dave took the time to give a thorough explanation on their process to diagnose the problem. He even shared possibilities for financial assistance. Aamco also went above and beyond with their personal touch with their accommodations for us. We were very pleased with Aamco!!

A very good example of very bad business practices!*Reading over the reviews you can see that Chad the GM responds to 1star reviews explaining how they are never at fault...ever. It’s always the customers fault in Chad’s story*Dropped my car off on Monday 01/29 at 5am and left the keys in the drop slot. I called at 8am and spoke to the store manager David who stated he would call me back with info once they know more about what repair is needed.David called me back that afternoon and told me the repair would be over $1500.00. I made a mistake of not getting a second opinion but I agreed to the repair and David provided me with referrals of finance companies for auto repair loans. I applied and was approved. David called me and stated that once I electronically signed the documents for the loan then he would get notified and they would order parts and begin repair. David said that the car should be ready by Tuesday late afternoon. I still didn’t have my car back on Friday so I had my first complaint that it was taking longer than expected. Saturday I got a call and David stated it was his Birthday but he came in on a Saturday on his Birthday to get my car done because he wants to take care of his customers. I drove the 2 miles home and the car didn’t feel right but when I called David he was already gone. Sunday the car was not drivable.Monday morning David agreed to have the car towed to them at the businesses expense. It was the same thing everyday with an excuse to why it wasn’t working. I went up to the shop multiple times unannounced to see what was going on and every time I went the car was never being worked on. David stated that he had other customers that he needed to assist and he was short a mechanic due to a death in the family.Thursday February 8th I asked a family member to call to see what was going on with the car. I received a call from David shortly after asking for me to not have “my male friend” call up there again. I said that the male was my dad and I asked him to call because I am still without a working car and you are not providing me with consistent information. I said that my dad wanted to know the plan on getting my repair taken care of and David was unable to provide a plan. David said he can only speak to the owners or people on the paperwork so e would only be speaking with me. The very next day I got a call that the car was ready. Drove home and the car was again unable to drive Saturday evening.Monday February 12th my car gets towed back AGAIN and we start the process all over again. During this time I call the auto repair loan company that I was referred to and they stated that the business was paid by the then (finance company)the day I signed the paperwork online so my 1st payment was still due within 30 days of the application completion (the day I took the car in) So they have been paid already and I still don’t have a repaired car? I made the big mistake of not reading the paperwork that clearly stated not to sign until repairs are completed.I asked to speak to the AAMCO General Manager a few times and was finally able to reach him. I spoke to the Chad at great length about the situation and expressed how dissatisfied I was. He had an explanation reason for every issue I asked about. I asked if they would consider reimbursing me for my rental car? Take any money off of the original quoted repair? Also asked if they would honor the $100 off coupon from their website. Chad refused all of my requests. I asked why he felt it was okay to already have been paid on a repair that was not completed and he said that they always ask for the repair loan to be completed so the loan company doesn’t back out of the agreement and they get paid.I got my car back the very next day. Today is Friday and it has now been a couple of days that the repair was completed. So far the car is running without any issues. Overall, the repair took 16 days, the 100 off coupon available online was not honored and I received no apology for the negative experience.
Went to get an oil change and was promptly attended and charged very reasonably, Frank attended me and was very polite and knowledgable. I will definitely go back and contine doing business with them. They gained my trust.

Terrible experience. I paid $600 to have parts replaced and a tune up only to have my car parked and undrivable the very next week. Come to find out, all the parts I paid to have replaced were never replaced. Be sure they show you the parts replaced and new parts put on. Hard lesson have learned.
Oil Change + impeccable customer service= AAMCOGot a full synthetic oil change for my Nissan rouge and all fluids were topped off, caps checked, tire pressure added, checked for leaks, and they showed me the dip stick to verify oil level. Done in about 15 minutes. Kudos to Roy and all the staff on redbluff even the dude underneath draining the oil.
Ive had problems with my transmission for weeks; actually more problems with my warranty company. Two shops would not deal with my warranty company at all. They said it was too much hassle. I took it to David, and he got it taken care of. It was a big mess with the warranty company, but he worked through it and got me covered. My car had some discontinued parts that were hard to get, but he took care of me when no one else would bother.
I took my car there back in September right after the the hurricane that just hit us in August trying to get my transmission checked out . They told me in order for me to get my transmission checked out that they would have to pull it apart and take everything out. I said okay so they finally tell me to rebuild my transmission it was going to be 2,604.I was trying to get money for it and I couldnt get the money for it so my car sat there for almost 2 months mind you i did keep incontact with them. I was doing everything i could to get it fixed. But after harvey hit work had been really slow for me. So they called me saying theyre going to get it theyre going to impounded because I didnt come up with the money .So I went ahead and was like okay well how much is it going to cost for me to get my car and they told me that I was going to have to pay $495 to get my car out but that they were not going to put my transmission back in the car that I had to get it towed to wherever Im taking it to. So Im like okay whatever I go pay the 495 and I get it towed somewhere else. Let just start off with it being over priced for the transmission. When I took it to get checked out I drove my car there. But I had to get it towed now because they wouldnt put it back. To top it off they stole the Cadillac converter & the part that keeps my hood to the car up. Then the new manager josh said I have my car there for months before he came and clearly on the paper it has the exact date I took it there. Yes I under stand that it was there for almost 2 months but Harvey effected my work and now its even hard to get it fixed because they stole parts ! & corporate yea Im still waiting for a call backUPDATE : It was not there for over 2 months.9/13/2017 till 11/8/2017.& it was not in the back storage . I live down the street everyday I pass thru there to get to work. Unlike you all I am not rich I live pay check to pay check . Yes its not your problem that is mine. But I did not abandon my car there. I did not have the money to get it out. If I did I would of got it fixed. I still havent heard anything nor did anyone ever call me in concerns to my car.I appreciate not being charged storage but o was told they wouldnt charge me for that. No need for parts to be stolen. If my car was locked. Obvioulsy it was not the first time it has happened there. This has taught me to read all reviews.

I was told by josh that fema would cover my damages eventhough there was no engine damage caused by the hurricane. Horrible customer service. He kept trying to get me to pay for things i know werent a problem. If i could give them zero stars i would.
I dont usually write reviews, but because of service I receive each time I thought it would be worth it.Great.......Fast..........And excellent service they changed my engine oil in 10 minutes, The shop is very clean to include the waiting area .Professional staff . Above all, The quality of service is excellent .

Taken truck back several times because of transmission and u-joints where not fixed right truck shakes now at 30 mph..l would not recommend aamco pasadena...very shady work....

My car was having issues and I had contacted this place, they towed my vehicle for me while at work which I was grateful for. When they asked me to take apart my transmission to look at what was wrong and telling me it would be appx. $700 fee just to do the inspection. I felt pressured to sign off on allowing them to inspect my transmission on the phrase my mechanics are certain this is your transmission. I called around to find comparable pricing and found a place that would tow my vehicle for free and inspect my transmission for free. When I had contacted them to let them know my car was going to be picked up and transferred to another shop because of their pricing, the contact at aamco scoffed at me for making that decision. Found out my hydraulics leaked onto my clutch and it was not my transmission at all.
This location is supposed to be open at 8:00 AM on Saturdays. Yet here I sit at 8:30 and there is no one here, but the open light is on. Oh, Aamco also has NO customer service. When you call you get asked for a zip code so they can find the nearest service center....uhh thanks
