I called to see if they were open and available to device my car on short notice. I was kindly greeting by a gentleman named Jesus. He answered my questions and welcomed me to stop by the location.I arrived 5 minutes after I called, I was greeted immediately and I felt welcomed. Jesus was able to identify my vehicular service needs and proceeded to take care of my vehicle.Within 30 minutes I was able to get back on the road with my vehicle needs fully serviced. I received great customer service, at affordable and a personable experience.I will be happy to come back in the future and I will recommend my friends and family members to come here too!

UBER vehicle inspections. UBER drivers make sure that you take your own form. Pasadena Pep Boys doesnt provide the form. I drove a few miles, wasted gas and time for no reason.

Quick. Had a flat. I kept refreshing their tracker, on the steps of the process, with my car, and it never updated, although i tapped the button many times, until i left. But the text notifications were spot on. They send you the inspection report via pdf. Thats pretty cool. The app issue not the employees fault. They were courteous and knowledgeable. Thanks! OH! Their waiting room is open again. Sun was so hot i moved twice and right as i started to fall asleep, my car was ready. Lol.

I went to Pep Boys for headlight bulb(s) (replacement) The service technicians were professional, expedient, and was able explain clearly what I needed to have replaced (in addition to the bulb replacement; I needed a low beam socket and the tech showed me where my wire was damaged. Made an appointment for 1:30pm for four new tires and alignment. So I walk in around 3:30pm to see how it goes and found out my car still in the parking lot. So I ask the person he told me they dont have the tires for me. He told me they going upgrade my tires for the same price. I said cool. So it is now 5:30pm my car still not done because they said my tires is not here yet. So I have to wait for another one or two get my Fing car back. It is now 6:10pm still waiting for my car. It is now 6:30 nothing. So it is now 6:44pm finally got my car. So if people are reading this dont waste your time here. Basically I was Charged $40 to be told that through the evaluation taken on my car and based on the part I wanted replaced (a part which was purchased elsewhere ) that they could not service my vehicle, without purchasing more parts, in which they also didnt have available. This is the new money grabbing technique in full display.
Came for a tire replacement. Service was a cut above competitors in the area. Starting with phone etiquette, to promptness of service, to answering questions and follow through. Other places just wanted to remark on how busy they were, and put me on hold for 30 minutes. Thats how long it took me to get the actual service done at Pep Boys.
Awful! I paid over $400 for an alignment and new tires what did I get a dent in the right front fender the first time I turned the wheel in the parking lot because they put the bigger tires on my smaller front rims. The manager said he would not pay for the damages even before I asked him about putting the correct tires where they should be. Not even 30,000 miles later the front tires were totally bald on the outer edge. The technician could not even speak English.
Went because water pump was leaking on a Sunday and they told me I did not have a leak when you can see actual leak and to top it off they broke my air conditioner I will not recommend anyone to this place and would no longer be coming here very unprofessional!
I bought one of those Pep Boys prepaid maintenance plans when I purchased my car. DO NOT PURCHASE IT! It is not worth your time, Ive gone to them twice now to claim my oil change and tire rotation. Both times they have taken hours to complete, the 2nd time I was told it would take 2 to 2.5 hours. I came back after 3 hours and my car still hadnt been worked on so I left.
Ive been a fan of Pep Boys all my life... Lately Ive felt a bit let down. It seems to be that every part/item I need, is not in stock! Whats going on guys? Pick it up! If not, the green shirt guys will soon be taking over!
Bought my second Champion AGM battery in a week taking advantage of their 25% off sale for Nov. Called ahead to make sure they had the model I needed and picked it up within hours. Very efficient and courteous service. Highly recommended.
Blackhawk Rebates is a hoax. Unable to activate it from various computers/browsers. Finally, a credible associate at this Pep Boys activated the rebate process from their store computer. Unfortunately Months later I receive a communication that my brake purchase is not valid. That is inaccurate as I filed the rebate within the time allotted.I have been a customer for several years, from oil changes to major repairs. But, NEVER AGAIN.

No one says hi or welcome at the pasadena store. You go in through the service entrance with several employees looking at you instead of greeting you. They just give you a very unwelcome vive. At least the parts people have been very helpful and I had no problems with returns. Other than that they really need to work on their people skills at this store. The one thing I really hate is their website. Its terrible when trying to find anything. Autozone and oreilly are easier and faster to use. No phone app from pep boys either. Also, a lot of the specials are online only. Slowly changing but not fast enough so you can just walk in and get the same special price. Pretty annoying.
Not sure why I keep coming here but no more. Every time I make an appointment even before covid Im always told its a 3 hour or more wait time just for an oil change. The last time I went in, the rep said her technician went to lunch and wasnt done with other cars on her list. I looked behind her and saw a bunch of other techs just standing around talking to each other.This was the last straw and pep boys will never earn my business again. I have unsubscribed from their email and text marketing.
This was for my work vehicle as part of a fleet service called Wheels, MAP maintenance assistance program. Pep Boys being one of the national service providers, I was authorized to take my vehicle in for service. I went in because of a nail in the rear tire. When I got there they said the tire could not be repaired and had to be replaced. Without notifying me they received authorization to replace both rear tires, and did so. Almost immediately I noticed a little instability in the front. Then while driving on the freeway at about 60 MPH it felt more unstable, which is when I noticed the traction control light come on on the dashboard. Up until the time of me taking my vehicle to Pep Boys Ive never seen that, and have never experienced any problems of this nature with this vehicle. I took the van back to Pep Boys because I was very concerned that there might be a serious problem. When I arrived and asked if there was a store manager on duty and could I speak to him. They said hes too bust right now. I said okay maybe you can help me. I explained the situation and also added that at one point it felt as though I could lose control. They took about a 30 second look at the tires and one of them said to the other you placed the wrong tire, and the guy that took care of me in the first place said to the other guy, no I didnt, those are the correct tires. Someone else looked at the tires and came back to me and said there is nothing wrong with the tires, and we have installed thousands of these tires without a complaint. He also said that the mechanic was leaving in 15 minutes and didnt have time to test drive the vehicle but if I wanted to come back tomorrow they will test drive it. Hopefully this wont cause an accident in the meantime, but I will never go back to this place. I will also be making a formal complaint to the national fleet service to never use Pep Boys again, and to remove them from the program.

Man...if I could give a thousand stars...Pedro and Edgar were not initially sure they could get me back on the road today, but brothers & sisters, these guys are on it.Im a LYFT driver, and my alternator died. In Pasadena.IN A HAIL STORM.Got towed here, spoke to the guys,and was told they had no part, no time, and wouldnt get anything done until tomorrow, but said they would try to get the alternator elsewhere. Everything clicked inside of 30 minutes, & by the time I got back from lunch, part was on the way. I was back on the road by before 6.A thousand blessings be on the Sunday Team at THIS Pep Boys.You all coordinated, cooperated, & prioritized my repair to get me mobile & earning again. I will 😊 forever at this amazing experience.
Be aware of this place. Went to fix AC and was billed $850. In 2 months AC stopped working again and went back to them. They this time they say compressor is not working, and asked to $600 to change. When I told them that I don’t want to fix with them, the person at the counter started talking rudely and demanded $50 for having checked my AC. I went to another mechanic, who told me that my Compressor was perfectly fine and all it needed was Freon. I was charged only $135. Would never go to this place again. If you want to trust your mechanic stay away from this place.
I do not like this store because I had bad experience in the past with their shop, it is extremely expensive and the attitude of the employees leaves a lot to be desired.I prefer to go to Auto Zone or OReilly because they are professional and treat the customer better

(No reason was given) they reccomended I paid for a electrical evaluation. (Never got the results) The next day I was told my car was ready, I tried turning on my car and the Fuse got blown again. I decided it was best to tow my car to a real professional.The clerk lacked knowledge of the problem, all he did was charge me for a service that did not fix my electric problem.
Went for a simple oil change and left with a messed up car. Pep boys knowing I had another issue with my car and I, the customer was not notified about it and they still let me drive it off their lot. It was only in my possession for like 5 mins and it broke down 5 minutes away from pep boys and I had to get it towed back to Pep boys and paid $150 and asked them for a reimbursement on the tow because they let me drive off the lot knowing the car was going to break down and smoke. They only said they would reimburse the money for the tow, knowing it was their fault, IF I pay $4,000+ to repair the car with them. Argued back and forth and just had a really complicated and stressful experience. Was not happy with any out come.

I was quote one prize over the phone and when I show up they change amount.I was also told I need it 2 front tires .I didnt purchase tires they are still under warranty at Costco .I happen to have an appointment with them for rotations and of course is nothing wrong with my tires .I wander how many people buys tires from them that doesnt need them .
We had an appointment to have a trailer hitch installed. Well, we showed up ten minutes early, and they told us that they were short on workers and couldnt accommodate us. That wouldve been fine if they had called us before we came out. No apology either. Garbage service.
I have been going to Pasadena pep boys for years. I went this week and the customer service was poor and it kinda shocked me. Not the same guys that have helped me in the past. I had engine problems with my truck and the guys helping me had a lack of compassion and a matter of fact attitude that told me “who cares”.I will not go back to this pep boys. Sad about it.

One of the cheaper prices for oil change ($57 for full synthetic oil with online coupon)! Unlike others I didnt feel ripped off and the mechanic who served me felt honest and very friendly so I didnt have any problem. Of course all mechanics will give you suggestions about what else your car needs, but these people were not pushy at all so it was nice! I also booked an appointment about a day before and the wait was probably an hr or so, but theres various cafes and a comic book store 5 minute (walk) distance so you can pass time there if you want.
Reviewing an auto repair shop is difficult sometimes because we never know if the shop is truly honest or not. So I will just focus on what I know. Were they friendly - Yes. Did they fix my problem of my brakes making noise - Yes. Did the repairs cost more than I thought - Yes. I went in to get brake fluid and ended up getting new front and rear brakes plus rotors. Was the work done on time - Yes. Did they charge me for things I really did not need - who knows. Overall I was happy with the service I got. I also will receive a rebate in the form of a debit card which takes some of the sting off the price.

Slow as hell. Booked an appointment a week in advance. Sat for 2 hours to get a simple oil change. After two hours they hadnt even started yet. Nobody informed me about anything that was going on. I was told that having an appointment doesnt matter. Having an appointment doesnt put you in front of anyone in line.....so first come first serve? What the hell is the point of an appointment. And, if that is the case, why isnt that communicated when you make an appointment, or when you drop your car off. Wasted my whole morning because you guys would rather over-book, to the customers detriment, than follow through and hold up your end of the bargain. Absolutely trash business practice. I will never go back.
Showed them the online deal for battery and they wouldnt honor it unless I ordered it online then I could only get the deal with the appointment. So I did get the deal but appointments were not available until the next day and my battery was dead now. So I got the deal for the battery (The guys inside the store were great) and I had to put the battery in on my own because my truck battery was DEAD.IM disappointed because I remember when they would help no matter what.
I wouldnt recommend this place. I had an appointment for tires and brake service. Got an estimate that I would need 4 new tires and rear brake pads, which I approved. Later when it came time to pay I discovered that they also replaced my rear brake drums as well -- the problem is I didnt authorize them to do this and this work far exceeded the estimate. So, unless you want to get a surprise bill Id recommend that you go elsewhere

Absolutely Disrespectful customer service from MATT. I called with Enterprise Entertainment to discuss bringing in a vehicle for a tire change, and I was told I would have to wait 4 hours, and I should look for another shop. Then I asked the gentleman what his name was again and he replied, sir, have a great day... bye. Unacceptable. I called and asked for a manager, Edgar who was understanding and apologized about the encounter. He ensured me he would talk to his horrible employee about his lack of customer service.

Scheduled an appointment for 10 am on a Tuesday for new front brake pads, and possibly new front rotors (depending upon inspection). Inspection fee of $15 is waived if you are a Pep Rewards member!After inspection on all four rotors/brakes we agreed on new front brake pads and new front rotors. Rear required no changes, which I knew, and I was happy they werent trying to make an extra buck.Car is riding ultra smooth now! Entire process took 3 hours from inspection to driving off the lot.Thank you Pep Boys crew for the timely service and keeping me informed the entire process.

I went to Pep Boys a couple times within the last 5 months for tires, battery, coolant flush, brakes, rotors, windshield wipers needed to be replaced and headlight needed to be replaced. I received a 5 star treatment from the lady who helped me yesterday in the service department, she went over and beyond to help me with my car and to get me all the savings I could possibly get. Every one that works there is pretty nice and always easy to deal with. Im very impressed and very happy with all the services and the work. Thank You Pep Boys for always taking care of my car.

Made an appointment, got there on time and was told four other people had same appointment time and I would have to wait 2 hours for an oil change. So my question is, why make an appointment if its of NO purpose. This is the third time this has happen at two different Pep Boys. Staff just shrugged their shoulders and offered no assistance. Upper management needs to change the culture. Honor appointments and dont over book appointments.
Came to this location because a friend recommended them for an oil change. I schedule an appointment and when I was assistated they told me that the system over books appointments. They told me it was going to be ready in 2 hours and that they would give me a call. I had no problem waiting, I return 2 hours later and my car had not been touched. I asked if it was ready and they told me that it was up next and if I could wait 20 more minutes. The system needs to be fixed and not over book appointments and if the wait is going to be longer the employees should have the courtesy and call the customer. Not just have them waster 2 hours for nothing! And I only gave a star so I can make this review but this place deserves a 0

Please do not take your car here.My poor daughter took her car there because her engine light was on. They charged her $1186.00 and told her everything was fixed.After 2 weeks, engine light was on again and so took it back. They called her back and said its good to go.After a few days, light went on again. The temperature gauge is reading high and the check engine light keeps turning on and off. This time they charged her $35.00 but its still not fixed.As a mom who is a few hours away, I feel helpless with these people that try to take advantage of a poor student. I called to speak to the manager but they put me on terminal hold only to tell me that the manager is not available. I will be going to BBB next.
I came here for an oil change ($25, as cheap as you can get it) and got a free checkup on the car too.The guys were very friendly and helpful. They said I should change my brakes, but werent pushy, showed me in detail why they think so, and said theyd beat any price I find by 5% when I said Ill go check with my local car mechanic.Overall, a very pleasant experience.
We were driving all the way to Arizona from California and during our gas station visit, we discover one of our tires went flat! It was frustrating and at the same time, we did not know what to do!!We made a quick decision of pumping the tire all the way up and to continue to check up to see if miracle will happen so we can fix it when we get there.Unfortunately, it did not work out the way we wanted. While desperating searching for help, and food, we came across this shop to see if they can help.We dropped off our car for about 2 hours and when it comes the time to pay, the service specialist said its free of charge and we dont have to pay.Not only are we happy with the level of service received, it is the greatest gift we can ask for! As you all know, car problem is the most annoying headache anyone can ask for, next to annoying sibling or wife or husband :)We salute for your help pep boys!

Came in asking to fix the headlight to our sisters car. Sir Ricardo wanted to give me the best customer service by acting very rude and mean to my mom, brother and I, he refusing to fix it for us saying his garages were full when there was only two cars in there. He even laughed and dared my brother to do the headlight for him. This isnt the first time and it certainly wont be the last time with his bad attitude. Anybody who goes here I have to recommend to avoid Ricardo he is the worst employee here, and will not service your car.
Went in for an oil change and clearly specified that we wanted the tires rotated (supposed to be included with the oil change). Marked the tires to ensure the tires were actually rotated. When we came in to pick up the car they insisted the tires were rotated but we checked our marks on the tires and they were not!!! Literally lied to our face!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!

My most recent trip was not great. I made an 8am appointment and my car did not get put up on the rack until 8:30. Customer service was good. It would be nice to make an appointment and be taken care of on time. 30 min oil change sign out front... Turned into an hour.
Helpful service. I was able to find everything I needed but it was about 15-20% more expensive than Amazon. If you dont need parts immediately just buy online instead.

I took my truck in for a brake check because I had no brake pressure in the pedal. They looked at it and had no idea about what was wrong. They wanted to take apart the master cylinder, which would have been on the wrong end of the truck for the problem. Better go some place else with some experience!

Fair variety of auto parts, accessories and supplies for most vehicles, although not a big box store. Prices for items not on sale are not cheap either. Service is ok but waiting times can be long, especially on weekends. I have observed some confusion more than once between different service counter staff about customer service tickets, both status and what was being done. I had to wait for a young tech at vehicle pick up while he watched a how to video on his smart phone about how to reset a code. He didnt bother to explain or ask me if I knew. Came across as unprofessional. But service was done right, as promised. Firestone Tire is right across the street of you need just tires or suspension work, and they dont seem as busy sometimes so you might have a shorter wait. Pep Boys service waiting room is small area at front corner of main parts store with seating and a TV.

Had a very disappointing experience at this Pep Boys location. The wrong bulbs were put into my VW and shorted the line, which I had to go to the dealer to fix. Pep Boys claimed it was because my electrical boards were already broken and would cost hundreds to replace. Worst part was how I was treated by an older male employee when I went to check why my engine coolant was leaking. He treated me like I was stupid and wouldnt listen to me even though I knew what I was talking about. Very condescending and made me feel as though I should have gone in with a male. Its 2018, I should be treated with respect and not judged immediately based upon my gender. Will never return to Pep Boys because of this traumatizing experience, except I WILL be coming in for a refund.

I have been using pep boys auto parts and services far at lease 40 years. Up to this day and point. I have not one complaint about popboys services or their parts.
Not only did they try and rip me off with the exaggerated prices one of there technicians stole out of my vehicle. Its bad enough Im living out of my car I take it to a place I thought I could trust with getting my repair done proffesionally and then they try and blame it on me for not removing all my things.
What a wonderful customer service I got today at Pasadena Pep Boys had a really bed experience at 1 of their other stores at Atwater pepboys. This guys at pasadena fixed my issue, Edgar, Matt, and Noemi were all very helpful. Thank you pep boys in pasadena I wish there were more than 5 stars!
