Perfect service! My car was overheating and I couldnt find where exactly it was leaking from (no hoses). I filled it and quickly drove it to this particular Midas as its a mile from my house and they were very welcoming and helpful. I left and they called back about an hour and a half later to say that it was the water pump that had failed and that they would be unable to fix it as it required a tool specific to my vehicle that they didnt have (a timing chain retainer). They advised bringing it to the dealership to have it done, or wait for them to order the tool and possibly mess up the timing chain. I appreciated the fast diagnosis, but above all the transparency and honesty that they would be unable to reliably complete the job. I would bring my car here again for routine service.

The manager of this place is unprofessional, rude, raised his voice because he could not explain as a human being the high prices and the unnecessary services he offered to only front brake pads change. How can you show up to change brake pads and come up with sensor change?? According to this manager that is what he calls himself, but with that attitude, I cannot believe how this company still keeps him there, allll brake pads when changed need sensor replacement....he is unreasonable, unprofessional and I felt as if he was making fun of my accent, while supposedly explaining his nonsense. He needs to go, get fired. Shame on you for keeping such a negative influence in a work environment.

They forgot to put the oil cap back on. Oil spewed all over the engine while I was driving. Ironically I was following my daughter to her Toyota dealership for work on her car. When we arrived smoke was coming off my engine. The gas cap was never put back on. Thankfully I found the cap under the hood. Now I am waiting at this dealership to have the mess cleaned up. I was just supposed to follow my daughter to bring her home. Im not happy.

The dude working the counter was very helpful and called me to let me know the status of my car as it was being serviced. Appointments are probably ideal for any car work, however, I went in without one and it was fast, quality service for a reasonable price.Im going back to this location. Good people.

Beware the Bait and switch guys of Midas! I went for an oil change with a $19.95 coupon (plus disposal and tax). I had gone to the same shop with the same coupon for the same service a couple of months ago and paid $29 all in. This time they wanted over $46. As the Indian looking fellow at the counter was banging away on his computer (as if this will change the scenario lol), the Caucasian guy with the beard and moustache was strictly trying to justify the upcharge and looked at me with a blank stare when I plead my case. I quietly and kindly refused the service. It is one thing if I knew in advance that supposedly the former oil change price was a mistake (which I dont believe) and they would honor my price from before this time and I would decide next time if I wanted the service at the new price. But dont insult my intelligence and keep saying that the services are packaged to justify the difference (nice try!)So I would suggest that this is now part of the Midas DNA (as long as these two are running the shop...I hope Management reads this!).So unless you want your server price to include the Bait and Switch guys dynamic pricing, I would opt for a different Midas or other chain all together.

Awesome. Came in when I realized I had a bald tire. I got a quick replacement and it was even faster than the wait time they quoted me, as there were a lot of cars before mine. They even rotated my tires at no extra cost! Very friendly guys and very professional as well. All except one mechanic was wearing a mask, which is much more than I can say about other repair shops I’ve been to since the start of the pandemic. All around great experience. 5 stars.

I went for oil change. It was 4pm appointment but they started 4:50. And finished at5. I used coupon. it is included tire rotation but they didnt. I dont even know if they did or didnt do the other services included in the coupon

I tried to schedule an appointment for an oil change online for a regular oil change. If they checked the online appt request they will see this. I get a call that they cannot honor that appointment. I then call later that day to ask them for an appointment and they accommodate me for the next day. Great! I go in and they have me sign a form with no explanation but hey it’s just an oil change. Once they are done, I am charged $95. I paid with no complaint because I did not want to cause a scene. I tell my sister what happened and well she’s a little crazy so she calls and speaks with Todd who was rude and told her that I asked for a synthetic oil change. I did not. He tells her that they explained everything before they took the car, they did not. The Customer service at Midas on RT 46 is much better. Ripping people off is not a good look. Do better!

Had a flat tire that I needed urgently fixed. They were able to fix it right away and for a great price. Great communication (especially compared to other mechanics nearby). Highly recommend coming here.

No need to visit a dealership and over spend when you have these guys. Theyll check out your vehicle and let you know whats needed vs whats not. No BS. Give em a call and theyll set you up with an appointment as well (more accurate vs online). Great dudes. Never had an issue. Been coming to this location for over 5 years now.

Stopped here today moments after my tire pressure light came on. They took my car immediately and checked all four tires and the sensors, even drove it down the block to make sure everything was okay. When they figured that the sensors were bad and that it likely requires a fix by the dealer, they explained everything and sent me on my way. They didnt charge me a dime. Not sure if thats policy or if they were being kind but either way I am incredibly grateful. I would definitely come back and trust them with my car.

Went in to have a flat tire fixed, after 45 minutes, the manager said they couldnt find a puncture, so they (cleaned the rim) and that shoud take care of it, and charged $ 25.00, which i didnt mind at all, for a job done right.2 days later the tire was flat again, this time i went to a gas station near me, it took them five minutes to find and fix the puncture for $ 15.00.went back to midas and talked to the manager who claimed it must have got punctured again afterwards and not willing to accept they did not do the job right, ( basically dont know what the hell the are doing)most incompetent and unprofessional.not my first bad experience with them either ( i dont know what possessed me to go back there again)will never go back again.stay away from this place and save yourself some aggravation.

Standard oil change and wheel rotation performed on time and to my satisfaction. I was recommended a wheel alignment which at times is not really needed but this time it was, and was accurately performed.

When I arrive, I am always greeted in a Professional, friendly manor. The price for the required issue is discussed in detail so you know what the job will cost and no hidden surprises. In addition, the technicians are very good and I have seen most of them working there for several years. This tells me, they enjoy their work at that location. Clean office, free WiFi, free coffee & next to Dunkin donuts (walkable) in case you get hungry! 10/10 customer service, service and overall experience. Sean is professional and knows his stuff!!! Took my company vehicle to Midas for new brakes as they are on the fleet contract approve vendor list. They inspected the brakes, got approval from the fleet management company, and completed the repair, all within about 4 hours. Very polite, professional and efficient. Id recommend them.

Our Volvos alternator stopped working and had to have our car towed here on a Saturday afternoon. The staff quickly identified the problem and had our part delivered from a warehouse so we could get our car back by 6 PM. The staff was wonderful and very playful with our 13 month old infant girl. Thanks to everyone there that made this much more pleasant than we expected.

As soon as I pulled in to the Midas at this location (Rt. 17 N. Paramus) I was greeted by Todd who, despite the fact that I did not have an appointment, took care of me right away. I thought I needed fluid in my radiator since the engine appeared to be overheating. My car was brought in and it was quickly determined that I needed a radiator flush. I agreed. It was also determined that two fans were no longer working and Todd prepared an estimate for that service in case I decided to come back. Thats just what I did two days later. I felt that Todd took very good care of me and was beyond courteous and professional. I awarded 4 out of 5 stars for no other reason other than Ill wait and see how my cars runs and the repairs hold up in time!

Went to this Midas for the first time for a new exhaust system on an old car. I had been to my normal very reliable repair shop first and after giving me an estimate, they suggested that a shop that specialized in exhaust systems might be able to do the job for less than they could. So I found this Midas, not mentioning I had been to a previous shop, and they confirmed everything my previous shop told me. They let me look under the car and pointed out the several spots of failure which were pretty obvious. They did give me a lower price than my normal shop and I let them repair it.When I picked it up, the finished job was exactly as estimated and Todd and Sean were very courteous when I asked them to bring my car back on the lift so I could see the finished job. They did, and I saw all the parts of the repair. I am very satisfied with this new experience.

We were traveling on a family trip from NC and stopped here because of a low tire warning on our rental car. Sean was immediately able to get the car in, find the offending nail and plug the tire while we waited. We so appreciate the speedy and efficient service that got us back on the road quickly for our vacation. Thank you Sean and staff for your superior customer service!

I used to hold this location in pretty high regard, but my feelings have waned! Management has changed over the years and so have their business practices it would seem. I was most recently quoted $650 for a new alternator, a job that they performed on the car 4 yrs (3,000 miles ago) for $400 or so. Clearly they are installing subpar re-manufactured parts...the alternator never should have failed so soon. They made no effort to make good on it either, instead wanted to charge upwards of $250 more to repeat the same job. I sourced a BRAND NEW OEM Delco alternator (not remanufactured) for $45.00!!! on Amazon. I then renegotiated Midas exorbitant labor charge for the job to a reasonable $150.00. In the end, what was originally quoted at $650 was whittled down to $195 (talk about a profit margin!!!). The visit was also plagued with a general lack of follow-up. I had to keep calling to see if the car was finished...it was promised days earlier but lingered around until they had time to fit it in. The last straw was the tire rotation that I requested. They held the car over yet another night as the technician had left and they were unable to confirm if the rotation was done. I called the next afternoon (again, never received a call) and they told me the tire rotation was completed, and the car was ready for pick up. Upon arriving, I noticed the tire rotation was NEVER PERFORMED. I then had to wait another 35 minutes for them to finish off what should have been done days ago! I finally get home and pop the hood to inspect the new alternator, only to find they took out the hood lamp bulb and never put it back in when the job was done. Tell me Im just dreaming... I cant see in the dark, so this will have to wait until daylight. Ill then have to take a trip to the auto store for a new bulb! Talk about a series of foul ups right up until the bitter end, and I do mean bitter!12/19/2018 - appreciate the free oil change that the Midas district manager offered to me in regards to this experience.

Straight forward, no BS service for your car at a fair price. Sitting in the waiting room Ive seen the full range of customers. At one end of the scale a well-off guy driving a luxury car - they diagnosed a simple issue that was inexpensive to repair. At the other end a woman driving a high mile old car with serious issues - they walked her through what needed immediate attention a what could wait so that she could prioritize and address the things that would keep the car running without busting the budget. That kind of customer service is great and all too rare.

Our alternator and battery died on a Saturday after 2pm and there was nobody open to service our car, however, this Midas was able to order the parts and get the job done efficiently within a 3 hour window while being busy. Extremely impressive and great customer service - highly recommend! 10/10

I will never ever come to this place ever again, The man working at Rt 17 Midas on Friday at 10am is the most disrespectful and rude employee I have ever seen in my life. He also threatened to assault me as well. Horrible. Do not come here, there are many better places

We had a flat tire in NYC, got the spare on and called and spoke with Todd at Midas. He was able to order us a tire for our car that arrived within the hour, just before we arrived, install it, and get back on the road. Every interaction, from phone call, to in person, to work provided was professional. We were very appreciative of the service at Midas on Rte 17 in Paramus.

I always felt this place is shady, but it was confirmed recently.I got to a local mechanic shop who said I need brake pads and not rotors. The rotors are fine.I supposed got the Midas Lifetime Warranty for brake pads, because they changed them once.I go back for my supposed, Lifetime warranty and they tell me they cant do it because all the rotors need to be done. They wont honor their Warranty.I go to another mechanic who also tells me I dont need the rotors. Just pads.Its clear this place tries to rip you off and the only reason they give you Warranties is because you have to go back to them. So, they can sell you on more unneeded things.Avoid this place like the plague or get ripped off royally.

The starter on my vehicle went bad 200 yards from Midas and rather than have it towed to the dealership, I gave this place a shot as Sean, the manager, was positive and confident in getting a quick fix done. I received a substandard starter costing $604, almost twice what an OEM part from the dealership would cost, for a total of $1,158 once 3 hours of installation was tacked on (you can do the math on the labor cost per hour). Protesting at the store was met with silence - they had me between a rock and a hard place. I paid, but wrote a negative review on their site which was mysteriously never posted. A company rep called and apologized for the overcharge and did credit back about $90. Will never give them the chance to take advantage of me again. Do yourself a favor and move on from considering this place.

I have brought my car here and the service I received was amazing from the mgr Ed Martinez down to the mechanics they took really good care of me. I have recommended them to my family and now they also go there. They go above and beyond to give excellent customer service.

I never leave bad reviews but after being charged $78 in labor for an oil change (brought in my own oil and filter) it says a lot about their ethics here. Bring your vehicle here at your own peril. This whole establishment is hopelessly ignorant

My mom always used to take her ‘94 Oldsmobile to the Bergen Mall location. Now that that’s closed and I own the car, I was happy to find another nearby location. Ed who answered the phone was very nice and helpful and we made an oil change appointment. When I came in, I met Sean the manager, and he was patient and informative in explaining what kind of tires I should get for my car. I knew I was well over due to replace them and he helped me make a practical and economically good decision. I called the next day to order them and they arrived and were installed on schedule. I’m very pleased with this location and really appreciated Sean’s friendly and helpful demeanor. I’ll definitely come back for future oil changes and maintenance.

This place was great. Been using them for a couple of years now. Orlando was pleasant, happy and helpful. They even recommended not getting a service done! Imagine an auto service station not taking money because a service wasn’t needed. This is why we come here and will keep bringing our cars here.

My car was leaking rain water into the foot wells. My car dealer totally misdiagnosed the problem AND wanted to charge me $1500 for moon roof repairs which I ultimately didnt need. Midas found the problem in 30min and fixed it in 2hrs for a fraction of the dealer estimate.Thank you Todd and crew for your patience and fine work. I will be back!

Outstanding Customer Service!!!The minute I walked through the door Edy could tell that I needed help. He acknowledged me while he was finishing up with another customer and as soon as he was done, asked how he could help. I explained that I had a screw in my tire & he reassured me they could fix it right away. The mechanic brought my car in & within a minute popped into the waiting area to tell Edy that he found the issue and could fix it! I went here for an oil change and Im not sure if theyre honest. They give you a courtesy check on fluids and everything and I had few things I needed done. I got the most pressing jobs done that day . When I was leaving the mechanic tells me that I have to get my rotors done to stop the loud clicking sound my car makes when I hit the brakes. Only thing is ... My car NEVER EVER made a clicking sound when I hit the brakes before. When I pulled my car out of their lot, lo and behold my car made this obnoxiously loud clicking sound its never made before when I hit my brakes. Its unfortunate that you really cant trust mechanics you dont know. They think theyre creating a reason for you to come back to them but really theyre just ruining their reputation. Ill never trust them enough to go back. They made it seem like I was crazy and the car always made that noise. Ill take my money to somewhere with an honest staff. The owners and the front of house staff were nice. I wanted to give them a good review since their ratings are already so low, but I cant.

Sitting at Midas at the moment they had noticed I needed all new breaks they helped me out very much. They even had more workers work on my truck to get me out of here in a timely fashion. Absolute great service thank you.

These guys (Orlando & Eddie) are great! I used their services twice in the last few weeks. First time was for a fix on my exhaust system, and most recently today for a tire that had a slow leak in it. They were honest about the work that needed to be done, as well as an accurate (and fair) price estimate. My exhaust system was all taken care of. As for the leaky tire, Orlando didnt even charge me.

Just went in to get my brakes/rotors done on my car and Orlando took great care of me. He went the extra mile to quote me a great price. Im definitely a happy customer and very appreciative. When you get there definitely ask for Orlando!!

My parents car needed a complete transmission overhaul, Nick at Midas Paramus was very courteous, informative and took the time to give my brother and I all the possible scenarios with this issue. I felt completely confident with the repair and glad my retired parents will have a safe car to drive. Would definitely recommend.

I broke down in Paramus half way through a long trip. After calling Midas I was given good directions and assistance from a gentleman named Ken, and upon arrival both he and Edy were friendly and helpful, doing everything they could to get me back on the road. I highly recommend this mechanics business to anyone with car needs passing through.

Sean literally saved our summer vacation, got a flat tire on the GSP on our way to the shore. Tensions were high as having a car PACKED with family and everything needed for a week away Needless to say Sean took us in and resolved the issue in a hour while juggling the service desk, customers, and the repair to my vehicle. I went to Midas a few months ago to put some tires on my car, when I got there they could not put the tires on because, the part that attached it was broken they lifted the car and brought me in to look at It, I could not believe it. Midas in Paramus is a great place to bring your car. They have checked my tire pressure for free many times with my former car very cheerfully and professionally. I recently had a leaky tire on my new car and they fixed it very quickly for me and treated me very professionally. Edy was at the desk and you couldn’t ask for a nicer man to help you!

Late on Saturday afternoon I noticed one of my tires was getting low so I drove over to my local Midas shop in Paramus, NJ. The store was crowded with customs waiting for their cars. The shop manager said he would look my car over when he gets the time. I was pleasantly surprised when he called me within an hour that the repair was complete. Every time I visit this shop I’m pleasantly surprised by the courtesy, professionalism and customer service they provide.

I’ve used other mechanics, but returned to Midas because they are fast, friendlly and honest with their services.I love that they always explain what work they are doing and why it’s needed. I had a repair once that needed more time and they even brought me lunch. I always feel safe driving my car knowing that I got the work done with the Midas team. This team is great!

I had an appointment for 3:00. I showed up 10 minutes early and they didnt start any work until 4:00. It took an hour and 45 minutes for an oil change, tire rotation and to plug one tire. Definitely do not recomend unless you have 3 hours to spare. I arrived at 3:00 and did not leave until 6:00.

Great service and highly recommended!! Just took in for wheel wobble and it turned out to be a simple issues with spacer I left when mounting winter tires. Was done in 30 min, didnt even charge me!!

I took my car the end of last year, I heard a noise coming from under my car. Turned out a piece of my muffler had to be welded back. We gone to other mechanics in the past,always having problems or they didnt tell us what was wrong with my car. At midas we didnt have that issue, Eddie was able to tell us exactly what was wrong. Any questions we had, he was able to explain to us. We havent had such good service anywhere else. I definitely recommend Eddie and his workers for any car services.

Great people, even though they could not fix my car, because it was something mayor in the motor they were very honest game all my money back, but Im sure they are good at the rest of what they do. Ill go back and recommend it for maintainance of my car.
