I can only give this repair shop two and one half stars. Although the work was done correctly the wait was forever. Frank very knowledgeable but when I went to pick up the car it was filthy!!!! and this after having new paint job. Also easy door rubber part in the interior very easy for them to insert just left it there. I did that on purpose just to test if they really valued their customers, they do not!!! Also you cant bring your own parts, they have to order them new. Frank (owner) hired help looked at me knowing full well that I was a customer and laugh and said I should sell my car. These folks know their cars but are very impersonal. Your vehicle is a very personal item and having a smile and personality goes along way. These folks are cold and quite dry!!! Not a good feeling when you paying $1500 for a repair.
Really love this place. Have been bringing my C300 here since I bought it two years ago and Frank has been phenomenal. He’s friendly, knowledgeable, honest and considerate of my pocketbook. On multiple occasions, he’s told me that a repair the dealership recommended could wait a couple months and even recommended cost-effective alternatives (eg he told me to get my tires from Costco!) The office staff is also very friendly. Owning a German car or any other luxury vehicle can be unnecessarily tough because a lot mechanics will talk up the price of repairs and justify it as necessary because “it’s a luxury car” or “it’s a European vehicle and needs very particular care.” It’s very comforting to have a mechanic who is honest and noble. Thanks Frank!
They are the very best Mercedes mechanics in Bergen county, the dealerships around could learn a lot from them, how to fix an older Mercedes, pricing, customer service and knowing what they are talking about first time in. I hope they never retire and leave us in desperate need of their friendship and know how.
Best place to get your benz repaired or maintenance! Fair prices and friendly staffing. Ask for Frank..very knowledgeable person when it comes down to these German cars.
Bells has taken care of my love for old Silver Arrows since I was 16 (Im 27 at the time of this writing) and they Pre-Purchase Inspected my first car, a 1994 W124 E320 Coupe, to my current W116, a 74 450SEL (and previously, a 75 280S).They are the place to go to for Benz specialization, especially the older stuff.See Frank. Him and owner Jim Bell know these cars like no other and always fairly assess.
Very knowledgeable about the needs of my benzs
They know everything about your Mercedes.
I FEEL VERY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. I took my 83 300SD w/60k miles to have the HVAC worked. Before testing the system and diagnosing the issues. They preformed work that updated the system. Charging me $300+ After that they THEN start the compressor and tell me there is a bigger issue that will $1000+ additional. So basically the work performed has zero value but he made money for his lack or responsibility of correctly diagnosing and taking the correct steps to tell me what the problems were.. HE JUST COSTED ME MONEY THAT HAD NO END RESULT.This shop is very paper oriented and is going to be lost in the future. Sad because they are nice people but with poor diagnosing and archaic way of paper business. Say good bye
Verg professional and thorough
Highest recommendations! Stopped me from pouring good money into a bad car. THANKS FRANK!!!
Reasonable, fast and friendly staff
Excellent
Love you guys!
Thank you Frank
Why any Mercedes Benz owner goes to the dealership for servicing is beyond me. Bells is half the price and twice the experience.
Do not use the dealer
