My first experience in 2018 was a good one. I even sent friends and family to them. But recently my daughter had her vehicle worked on and they charged way over the quoted estimate and didnt even complete the work. They used to give free quotes( like brake inspection) for future work without charge. I called and asked for an appointment to replace my clutch. They said I had to pay for a inspection of the vehicle first. I said I didnt need an inspection of the clutch I just Want it replaced. They refused until I paid the extra charge for a bogus inspection. We will never go there again no one needs the extra costs when Vehicle repairs are already so expensive.

I thought I had destroyed the head and possibly the cams in my beloved BMW, they told me everything wrong with it and will only take my imports to them from now on. Not many shops left with morals but this one has it in spades. From the bottom of my heart I thank them.🇺🇲👍🏻

Friendly!!! They might be a bit higher priced than other shops on some things, but the communication and quality of repair and/or service is impeccable! I dont mind paying a little extra for great service, lots of smiles, and personable people. Edmonds knows customer service, and goes above and beyond for their customers. I took my 1992 Saab in for servicing and I was more than impressed with the service I received from Edmonds. From the friendliness of the employees, to the communication and the pricing, I felt completely at ease and comfortable with the entire process. This car was part of my late father’s collection, and I wanted no one but the best to maintain it. All of my fears were assuaged when I picked up my vehicle, and I am more than confident now that not only have I found the best place to take my Saab, but, my other imports as well. Job very well done.

This is my second time using Edmonds Import Auto. I was referred to them by a friend. This is by far the most professional, organized and courteous auto shop I have had the pleasure of working with. I used to take my vehicle to Mercedes Benz only, but after they changed ownership I havent been pleased with the service I receive.I am so happy that I was able to find a better shop, closer to home. The prices are fair, they are honest about what you need done now, vs what can wait. My favorite part is that they keep you informed via text and email with photos included! I am not sure why other body shops havent caught on to this kind of service.I highly recommend Edmonds Import Auto.,

This place is a joke, I needed to have my brakes done. They were already inspected at another shop where I had my oil changed (they don’t do brakes). I can in to schedule the repair, they said that they would need to inspect it themselves so they were sure what was “needed and order the parts”, so I made an appointment for the estimate which they said would take an hour and run $65. So I showed up on time (Monday), it was going to just be an hour so I decided to wait…..2 1/2 hour later I get my vehicle back and am charged $68. They make me an appointment for Friday morning. I only get an estimate for the labor because their parts guy is out but am insured that they will call or text me the full estimate the next day…Wednesday I still haven’t heard from them so I stopped by to get the estimate…..it wasn’t ready but they assured me again that they would get it to me that afternoon. Thursday morning I received a text for them reminding me of my Friday appointment. I called them about my estimate and was informed that the needed to inspect my vehicle so they could “order the parts” they said it could be one of three different brakes. I asked what I paid for on Monday when they had my vehicle for 2 1/2 hours all I got where dumb excuses. So I drive across the valley for them to inspect my vehicle again, they go out to inspect it and then inform me that they need to take it into the shop and pull a tire off BUT they won’t charge me this time…..I was dumbfounded. I asked to speak with the owner….Not There, I asked to speak with the manager/supervisor….Not There…..So my experience is that they CHARGED me for a SERVICE they NEVER performed. Owner or manager never followed up with me…..and what really gets me is that my vehicle is the same make and model of their courtesy vehicle, the only difference is mines a few years newer. I was going to let it drop but they just sent me a text thanking me for my business (all I did was give them money for nothing). And asking me to please review their service. They are a joke and a ripoff.

I would recommend Edmonds to anyone. They are professional yet friendly and they truly have the best interest of the customer as their priority. I found them to be straightforward, honest, and realistic. All my experiences with them have been good and I trust them, which is a major relief if you don’t know much about vehicle repair.

I called to schedule an oil change through Edmonds and they said they were booked up for the current day, but had openings first thing in the morning. I asked at the time how long they would need the vehicle as the time before for an oil change they had my car for borderline 2 full days as it was finally done after closing on the second day. This time Ryan ensured me that the process only takes an hour and change and I could have my car back in an hour and a half tops. I dropped the car off first thing in the morning and reverified the time it would take. Ryan then confirmed since it was first thing they should have it done in an hour tops.3.5 hours later I called as I had not heard from them. Ryan confirmed that the car had yet to go back as they got busy, but they would be getting it in soon. I advised I verified the time twice as I needed the vehicle back by that afternoon and could not wait any longer. Ryan then said the OWNER was going to take my car in and work on it himself to ensure that the vehicle would be done in time.After hanging up, 5 minutes later Ryan called back and said if I would like to head down now, they would have my vehicle out in the next 5-10 as it was just an oil change and they took it back while I was on the phone. I waited about 5 and then headed there getting there at the 10 minute mark. I walk in and was told I could sit and wait as it should be out any moment now. 40 minutes later I was told that they were sorry but it should be out soon. another 5 later and I was finally able to get my keys and get back to my day.When I got out to the car I noticed the Tire Pressure light was on and thought to myself how it was odd for it not to be on when I brought it in, but now leaving the light is on. After an oil change took 4+ hours I figured I would take the vehicle down to the gas station and just add some air myself. As I began to add air to my tire, I could hear the air exiting from the tire to a close rate of it going in. After finding the source of the air exiting I find a screw drove directly into the angled corner of the tire.I called back to Edmonds to talk about everything and bring up the tire and the best thing they could tell me was they are sorry and could sign me up for their rewards program which would offer me road side assistance for future problems....Honestly I get places getting backed up, hell it wasnt the first time this had happened of course, but for it to be a continuous problem and it to now cost me new tires for my car just to be offered road side assistance..... yeahhhhh I am good..

Wifes car was leaking coolant and I couldnt pinpoint the source with my minimal home tools. Brought it to Edmunds for a leak locate... Minimum $90 labor. Dropped at scheduled time for a late morning appointment, 4 hours later the car still hasnt moved. They finally called towards the end of the day to say the water pump was leaking and it would be $1400 and change to replace.When I picked up the car the next day (didnt let them do the work), their quote didnt give a breakdown of what was accounted for in $1400, only the total price. If you wanted to see what was parts vs labor vs shop materials and so on, you had to ask for that separate. Come to find out, they wanted to charge about $100 more for parts than Audi did, and Audi included more new gaskets for their price (which says they were planning on re-using some). Their shop rate is $125/hr billed at 6.7 hrs for the job. 1) Ive been to far better and more reputable mechanics with a better shop rate. $90-$100 would be fair. 2) I did the job myself at home with my limited tools, having never worked on an Audi before, in 5 hours. I understand the advantage of flat rate work is charging book time and completing the job more quickly, however a good shop will generally split the difference with the customer.Summary... Decent diagnosis but ridiculous mark-up on parts coupled with an out-of-reasonable range shop rate, I wont be back. Its sadly normal for a mechanic shop to gouge customers either on billed time or with their rate. Rarely does a shop try to do both, and the shops that do are normally sub-standard. On a final plus note, I will say everyone I interacted with was at least personable and nice. Take your money elsewhere for a better value!

Absolutely outstanding staff

Always had good experience till this time. Brought it in for diagnosis and 300 dollars later I got a poor answer and bad diagnosis. They checked the air bag light that I didn’t ask about. Removed the seat off and on and charged me an arm and a leg to tell me the motor in the seat is out. The motor in the seat is not out, it is just unwired. I wanted them to wire it up. I adjust this seat with a 12 volt battery anytime I need to move the seat so I know the motor is good. They do great work but over charge for diagnosis and the technician that worked on my seat needs more work. Not to mention I did ask about the airbag light. Already knew what that was.Was gonna argue with them about it, easier just to pay and be done with them.Aside from that. Great mechanics. They always do a good job.

In my opinion Edmonds is the only place in the Anchorage area or Valley to bring my Audi for service. Ive taken my car to them for things as simple as an oil change, or as complex as dropping the transmission to fix a leak; regardless, of what I need done to my car they give me excellent service, and its fast! Edmonds is fast to get me in for an appointment, and they always complete anything I need in a timely manner. The employees are top notch, and give you excellent customer service. I will not go anywhere else with my Audi (to include the horrible Audi dealer in Anchorage). Thank you Edmonds, and I look forward to visiting you for many years to come!

I was VERY disappointed!!!I came in a few days before to have my Low Beams bulb replaced and have the check engine light computer analyzed to see if it was more than the gas cap issue, which also showed up on my dash.The light bulb was changed, and it did not fix the problem.I ask at that time if they check the fuse. I was told if it was the fuse, both lights wouldnt work. Since it is illegal to have the low beam out, I rescheduled to see what the problem was and have it fixed. They also said they would change out the gas cap for $54.36 + tax.I declined saying I could take care of that, which I did for $14.50 from NAPA.What really burns me is that I came back in and was charge another hour to tell me it WAS IN FACT THE FUSE,. This should have been properly addressed the first time when I asked about it and was lied to. SO, it has ended up costing me now $155.47 for the first visit PLUS $115.74 to replace two blown 110 fuses.When I told them I felt this was not right, I was charged anyway.At no time did Dallas, the mechanic come and talk to me.YOU HAVE LOST MY CONFIDENCE AND BUSINESS.Palmer is a small town, and people will hear about this!!!!

I love Edmonds. They have amazing customer service, very knowledgeable and courteous employees, and they always go above and beyond. They never talk down to me, explain things clearly, are straightforward and transparent in their work, and are great about providing a loaner vehicle if needed. If you want an honest mechanic who does repairs on a timely basis and treats you with respect, this is the only place to go.

Friendly and helpful from drop-off to pick-up! Their shuttle service saves me a lot of time and effort trying to arrange a ride to and from the shop.All my requested services were done in the estimated time frame and Ive never been disappointed with their work.

I was kinda shocked when I received a text message from the owner, Tobi, as I had only dealt with the service writers, she thanked me for trusting them with my car. I would and will, recommend Edmonds to anyone I know. It has been hard to find a reliable, friendly, and honest repair shop in the Mat-Su Valley. It is a relief to know I can trust Edmonds to do the right thing even when no one is watching.

I dont know a whole lot about cars but they where very helpful to me when I needed work done on my VW. I told them my price limitations and they worked hard to stay within what I could afford- focusing only on what had to be done on my vehicle, while they also gave me estimates for everything else that could also use work, and organizing each estimate by level of priority! not only that but after all they did for me they also made sure to check in on how it has been doing after words to make sure that everything was still going well- which was very nice. while I hope I dont have issues for a nice long while with my car, I feel very confidant that if issues arise Edmonds would be a great place for me to bring it.

I set an appointment for 3:30, checked in and was told it would be about an hour so I decided to wait, had a nice waiting room with a TV hooked to netflix. 2 hours and some change later of waiting its finally done BUT not only did they change a burned bulb out for free they decided to ALSO comp the oil change bill entirely for the wait. Never seen that at an oil change garage do that before, most Ive seen was maybe 30% off for the wait.Definitely go here! they care about their customers! Ill be coming back in the future for sure!

This shop charges just to diagnose. $115 to tell me what’s going on with the car. Then said my appointment was just for the diagnosis, that I had to make a separate appointment for the repairs. I’ve never been to an auto shop that does business this way.

I have been going to Edmonds Import Auto for 8 years and have always had a great experience. We found them when other mechanics didnt know how to work on my import car, they handled it without a problem and without costing an arm and a leg. We now take all of our other cars there and couldnt be more pleased.

I took my Infinity fx35 to them in Oct because it was leaking antifreeze. They told me I needed my radiator replaced and it would be around $1000. TG I trusted my instincts and didnt feel I had the money to spare. They blew it for working on our cars. They could have also had the job of putting in my sons heater blower in his WRX. I chose to trailer my car down to the lower 48, saving the ware and tare as well. Trailering it cost me under $400. Saved me a fuel bill of at least $800 and Edmonds minimal $1000 bill. THEY did charge me $80 to tell me that. Makes me wonder if they even did anything. They were friendly.. but then again they just made an easy $80. My dad just took the radiator out. At the bottom there were 2 screws that had rusted out (most likely due to the salt on the roads) that held the piece that the hose attaches too. No thank you Im not an easy woman target. No need to replace the whole radiator....what a waiste and rip off.

Robbers, ripped a buddy off $2900 for repairs to a vehicle, drove 3 miles after picking it up from them and now the car wont go into gear!!! Go elsewhere with the more technical stuff cuz these guys r basic!!!

My BMW e90 had to be towed to Edmunds due to burn clutch. They fixed it and it’s running fine now. They also inspected my car and give me list of things that need to be done. Will use Edmonds again

If you are patient with them trying to diagnose a vehicle while they trying to find a problem they WILL meet the finish line and it will be worth it in the end. Reeve has helped me out a lot while the car was being worked on and took me all the way to Wasilla at anytime I needed to any location in the matsu including taking me to the house!. Edmonds definitely takes care of their customers! I will definitely be returning there in a few weeks for some installations! I highly recommend them to anyone!

Had a 10am appt for an alignment. Three hours later my truck was outside, so I called to see if I could pick it up. Was told as I drove by that the truck was in being worked on. Three hours later they tell me they didnt do anything. Six hours for them to not do an alignment, dont they only take an hour? Bring your vehicle somewhere else. Havent heard a good thing about them!

Edmunds is a blessing! They replaced my blown Bose sound system in my 2008 Audi A6 with a completely new system for an affordable price! They helped us ship the complete system. I thought Id never be able to listen to music again. To top it off their customer service was amazing. The employees were very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend their service. My vehicle was serviced at this shop. I had an oil change. They did a good job, however. It took almost five days to get in after making an appointment. They are a little slow because of all the business they receive. They need to reduce they congestion by not taken in too many vehicles in a day.

Excellent customer service. However pricing on parts is insane, they really need a better supplier. They guarantee their work, Im split on bringing my vehicle back though due to the high cost on parts.

I brought my BMW to them and when I got my car it is missing it’s engine dust cover. The woman at the front desk argued with me and mocked me telling me that they didn’t have it. They do have it, I brought my car to them with it’s dust cover and now it doesn’t and they are trying to tell me that it wasn’t there before I brought it to them yet where the bolts go it is shiny and clean as if it was COVERED. If there had been no dust cover when they got it then it would be dirty and covered with dust. If I could I would give this place zero stars.

I had Edmonds Import Autos work on my 1986 Toyota Hilux Surf (think diesel version of the 1st generation 4runner). It is a rare vehicle that is difficult to find parts and information about since it was never produced in the US. They were persistent with making sure the truck was fixed properly and professionally. I was impressed with how friendly and willing they were to take on a full engine swap and rebuild on such a challenging vehicle. I can not thank them enough for helping get the Hilux back on the road in such a professional manner. I highly recommend Edmonds Import Auto!
